It’s funny that parents think kids will be honest with them about the big things when we all saw Danny Fenton hide his own death at 14 as kids and agreed with him that it was the right decision

rereading my own writing is just a constant fluctuation between "damn, girl, you wrote this? (affectionate)" and "damn, girl, you wrote this? (derogatory)"

Getting a comment on AO3 is such a magical experience. “Oh you liked what I wrote? You read the whole thing start to finish? YOU SHARED YOUR IMPUT WITH ME?”
Now I want to take you somewhere to get a nice warm drink and tell you about ever little detail I wrote in the fic, my crippling fear of mischaracterization, and also if you want to get married.

so loving men isn't a curse. loving men isn't "unfortunate". loving men isn't a bad thing. yes, we can joke about how awful men can be, but it gets to a a point where this mentality can really hurt. it can really feed into you hating yourself for something you can't control. loving men is something special. loving yourself is just as beautiful.

You know what bothers me the most about tom fucking Taylor's version of Dick Grayson is that Dick through all of his different writers and interpretations the good the bad the awful has had one fucking consistent character trait and that is his ability to work himself to exhaustion because he believes it's his responsibility!! because he believes no one else can do it like he can in a sort of fucked up great power comes with great responsibility thing but tom fuckin Taylor didn't write that so now dick it's just an empty vessel Tom Taylor when I catch you WHEN I CATCH YOU TOM TAYLOR. WHY WOULD YOU TAKE DICK'S FUCKED UP SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY AWAY .

I would love to see Deathstroke return to Bloodhaven post-Frontier and having Dick deal with him.
Not because of shipping of any kind but because a storyline about Dick having to deal with Slade Wilson in the city which remembered being completely destroyed (to the point where it was an unapproachable wasteland) because of Deathstroke would be so juicy in the right hands.
It would be a great way to actually deal with Blüdhaven being bombed and Dick's feelings of guilt, protectiveness over a city he (in his mind) failed to save once vs the memory of the people who were actually saved by Nightwing that night or those who died the first time and the anger towards Deathstroke that would be there.
It would be so interesting.

danny phantom is such a weird thing to me because looking back it was pretty much just your standard butch hartman fare with cheesy not-always-good writing and dumb puns and a LOT of cliches and a relatively short run-time and kind of an awkward art style?? but it’s all wrapped around this. premise which gets potentially disturbing when you actually stop to think about the ramifications of a boy being LITERALLY half dead and the reason the cartoon sticks in ppls’ minds so much is because of this disturbing potential for horror which the cartoon never actually tapped into. it’s almost like ppl remember the concept of the show more than the show itself and it’s both strange and kinda cool and interesting
