Follow up to my last post- I love the parallels between Ignis and Ravus soooo much. When Iggy tells Ravus to get it together during their fight after Luna's death, begging him to come to his senses. He wants to protect Noctis, that much is clear- but you can tell Ignis is hiding behind his duties, using them as his reason to try and save him. Then he literally does the same thing Ravus once did (wear the ring) because he cannot possibly face the idea of losing Noct, throwing his own advice out the window and telling Ardyn he doesn't care about the world...just that he won't let Noctis die. The past kings acceptance of Ignis' devotion (to Noct, not the crown) vs their denial of Ravus' greed...just beautiful I believe. There's a lot more to say about it, and I'm sure someone else could say it better but man ... I sure love Episode Ignis.
