Matt and Dom Beats 1 interview, 20/07/18

- Matt wants to do a “high school dance” music video

- Next song will be “pressure”, which is a heavier song

- They want to release two more songs before the album comes out in november

- They want to release “a bunch” more music videos from the album

- They still haven’t finished making the album - they’re in the middle of recording one last song then they will be done

- There are planning on having about 11 tracks on the album

- As well as these 11 songs, there are 7 or 8 “acoustic/alternative versions” of songs on the album

- For example, there is apparently a “gospel choir acoustic” version of dig down

- Matt confirmed that dig down, thought contagion and something human will all be on the album

- Dom says the new album “sounds completely different from the last one”

- There is going to be a song called “Algorithm” which is, according to matt, “sci-fi electronic EDM weirdness” and sounds like a computer game and also like the soundtrack to blade runner

- Matt said that “Dark side” sounds “most like us”, and it is his favourite off the new album

- One of the songs apparently sounds like new born

- There aren’t any more live dates this year, but they might do some “bits and pieces” when the album is released

- They want to somehow work their new “look” into the live experience

- Matt says that it would be “cool” to create a VR game that is related to the album

Imma be honest, I hate reading comments on Muse posts on any website other than tumblr. It's all hate filled and rude, insulting the band about their change of of music and how they dont want Muse to go down the creative path they're taking. It's stupid how many people go and start insulting the hard work this band is putting into this album. I mean jesus, they've pushed these singles out to make us happy. They want to chill and calm down but they push songs out for us, and everyone just trashes their efforts with insults.

If they want to go back to their old music, they will. But right now, they're making these great songs with their own twists in it. Something human is a great song, and honestly up there with my favorites as of now, along with thought contagion etc etc etc.

People need to give Muse a break tbh. Let them rest, and give them time. They're trying their best to make an album and have fun doing that.

And helpful tip, dont read facebook comments on Muse. People suck.

straight up, it’s kinda sad seeing how little hype there is for Muse’s new song on my dash. I hope the new album brings a Muser renaissance bc the amount of dead Muse blogs hurts my heart
