Hi guys! I don’t think I’m actually back, but the apocalypse drew my attention so I guess I’m here packing up. I don’t really have another social media presence (yet). Wherever Tumblr ends up moving to as a whole, I’ll most likely set up something there and post here to let you folks know my name. Worst comes to worst, if I get deleted for naughty gifs of teacups or what the heck ever, my old Livejournal is Alivion, so I should be able to use that to at least let folks know where I go.

I’ve seen quite a few people drawing connections between Loki and Agni. How well established is that connection? Can it actually be argued that Loki has Indo-European roots, despite the fact that he’s only attested in Scandinavia?

I was going to go on a google spree for you and also refer you to both @coldalbion and @fjorn-the-skald as folks who’d know more on this than me. But it looks like you’ve asked around and already gotten some solid answers.

The very short version is that this goes so far back and is so poorly attested that any spiritually angled (non-academic) answer would boil down to “I donno, use whatever UPG works best for your practice”, and an academic answer is a bit out of my purview.
