I made a little something for a story I and @tamasuri are planning. It's something along the lines of 'Toothless finds out he's not the last one' and such. Not much else planned rn but now with the designs clear we can definitely start!

Lightfuries are definitely something I need to practice but he still turned out adorable!

[Venom Fury]

Habitat:

swamps

dense jungles

Appearance:

very similar to poisonous animals like the poison dart frog in terms of color and spots

eyes are sharply slit and usually poisonous green or yellow.

teeth are longer than those of a normal Night Fury and secrete a weak poison that can paralyze

wings are short and tapered, with small claws on the edges that help them climb trees as a additional support

Abilities:

Toxic Breath: They spits a poisonous substance that not only burns, but can also have paralyzing or hallucinogenic effects

Neurotoxin: Their claws and teeth secrete a paralyzing substance that slowly weakens enemies

Temperament:

sly

calculating

incredibly intelligent

avoid open combat and prefer to defeat their opponents with cunning

Other features:

communicate with a unique hissing sound reminiscent of a snake's hiss

their young are completely harmless at first, but gradually develop their poisonous abilities

Similar to Ruffrunners Parents, he too took his chosen partner to a nightly flight, just to confess his feelings in front of the moon.

Dawn definitely didn't mind the nightly flight. Especially since Ruffrunner looks the best this was

[Mist Fury]

Habitat:

Mist forests

Raised moors

Coastal cliffs with dense clouds

Appearance:

dark gray or ash-colored scales with spots to imitate moving fog when they fly

eyes are always a light, pastel like color and even lighter pupils

wings have a special structure that allows them to glide silently through the air and stirs up the fog so that it can make them invisible

Abilities:

stealth hunters: They are experts at making themselves invisible and use their surroundings to sneak up on their prey silently

Temperament:

reserved

cautious

extremely cunning

rarely fight directly, but wear down their opponents with patience and stealth

Other features:

can communicate almost silently by creating swirls of mist that act like Morse code

avoid sunlight because their light-sensitive eyes do not tolerate bright light well

sleep in caves or some other dark areas during the day because of their light-sensitive eyes

more active from sunset to sunrise

there is a rare "twilight variant" with darker patterns that is perfectly camouflaged at dusk.

[Mist fury]

A subspecies of furys that moves from place to place and hides itself in thick fog

Their eyes are adapted to see better in fog than other dragons, which makes them more sensible to light tho
