Ruffrunner is truly my favorite of the furies. Astrid in the SOD said that he would grow to be the largest of the night lights. I like to think about it and imagine just a huge fury, bigger than Toothless. He looks dangerous. And yet he remains one of the most powerful dragons, therefore, even being with a gentle, peaceful character, he can devour someone if necessary XD

The Fury Family on a sunset flight/starlight flight. I spent upwards of 10 hours working on this and I had so much fun with the lighting. Fun fact, I referenced images of cats jumping to get these poses. I really like how it turned out :D

Haddock-Frost Family Au

Drayk Haddock, the Chief's firstborn and pride of his parents and all Berk. With the intelligence of his father and the troublemaker spirit of his dad, he loves to invent new traps for humans just to catch Hiccup as a hobby. Drayk tried to do the same to his dad, but he didn't succeed.

As soon as he learned to walk, Hiccup seemed to be in the necessity to adapt his clothes to be more useful every time he went outside along Ruffrunner, his Night Light dragon.

"Why is a carrot-head? Is he really your son? — Merida said, laughing at loud under the severed gaze of Astrid and the annoyed of Hiccup. It was the fortieth time she said it.

Jack chuckled, but stop immediately as Astrid looked at him too. Turn around was the best option for him to continue bottle- feeding little Drayk.

It's from his grandfather... Don't worry, son — Responded Valka, patting Hiccup's shoulder and talking with so much calm that made the moment funnier.

Merida wasn't the only one dying from laughter anymore. Now Astrid, Jack, and even Valka joined her, and Hiccup was the only one trying to keep his cool."

Reupload from earlier this year, yet again

I redesigned Subzero (my Light Fury OC/replacement) for like the third time this year because design consistency is a myth for me

since she IS an Arctic Fury in my AU I designed how I felt would be more suited for an Arctic habitat such as:

shortening her ears and nubs so she'd lose less body heat

got rid of her detailed scale texture to make her more smooth and blubbery like a beluga whale, resembling the canon Light Fury's skin texture more (plus it'll make it easier for me to draw her)

changed the shape of the elbow fins

changed the tail to be more fish-like

Other fun facts/headcanons about my Arctic Fury/Ice Fury species for my HTTYD3 AU under the cut if you're interested:

instead of fire, Arctic Furies have ice breaths like the Bewilderbeast. They breathe out cold mist that instantly freezes anything on contact

they can still cloak like the canon Light Fury does, with a similar mechanism where they coat themselves in an icy sheen that makes their scales clear and reflective as glass for several seconds. It doesn’t JUST work for camoflauge but is also an effective mechanism in hunting and battle. Turning themselves reflective makes their opponents/prey stop in their tracks and confuses them with distorted reflections of themselves, giving the Ice Furies the opportunity to catch them off guard. Turning invisible also allows them to fire blasts from long range distances without getting caught

though they aren’t semi-aquatic like their cousins the Tide Fury, Ice Furies can hold their breath for a long time and are often better swimmers than regular Night Furies. They often dive and glide underwater to catch fish like some bird species do. They’re also known for ambushing prey by stalking them under the ice and then breaking through to catch them, not unlike leopard seals

Arctic Furies function like penguins, where the females go hunting to find food for the babies and the males guard the eggs until they hatch. Yes this even happens with Toothless and Subzero when they mate

I just wanted to draw a sleeping Raffrunner in Dagur's arms❤

it was planned to be a small sketch, but I got carried away with painting, fortunately, I stopped myself in time😹

I like to think that Dagur has long wanted to kill Toothless and even make a helmet out of his head... but in this sketch, he very gently holds the Toothless baby, with such love, as if it were a human baby🥲❤🤲
