It wasn’t as loud, so Nico couldn’t make the words up as well, but Kayla said something that sounded slightly like “oh, Gods” and had a bit of “how did we miss that?,” as well as some cussing into it.

“I’m fixing to leave to his cabin!” Will shouted in the direction of the door, having moved to put on some gloves and a mask. “He’s got measles.”

will ranting to nico in a very intimate, soft, vulnerable moment about how michael would have loved him. about how they shared music taste and aesthetic, and how michael would have taught nico all about the punk and goth subcultures, and how he would have gifted nico shirts and CDs and how he would have loved him from the moment will walked into cabin 7 with him and would have told him nico was perfect for him!

nico has talked to michael's ghost before, after the war, and he knows michael thought he was cool and would have been a good friend with him. he already knows everything will is saying, but he can't bring himself to tell him because there's nothing like hearing him talk about his passed-away siblings with a voice that sounds more like love than like grief.

wip wednesday / solangelo

“You fell asleep with the console on you?” Nico nodded. “That’s so cute…”

“It’s not, come on…”

“It is! You were sleeping with my Nintendo one of the first times I ever treated you, right after the war against Gaea!” Nico wanted to argue that that was arguably not very cute. He’d been pretty much dying for days in Will's infirmary, how could the other remember it so nicely? His boyfriend read his mind. “I barely remember anything good from those few days, Neeks. I really treasure the memories that are just you resting and being safe. They make me happy.” He spoke, positioning himself between Nico’s legs and taking his hands between his. 

Nico lifted his head just enough to give him a small peck, but Will deepened the kiss and he was not about to complain or end it. They remained like that for some minutes, leisurely kissing, passionate but slow as if they had all the time in the world. Moments like this, alone with someone he loved so much and with whom he felt loved by, were one of the positive things Nico had finally gotten the chance to get used to after joining camp, and perhaps the best. It lasted till they heard Kayla and Austin’s voice walking towards the door, when Will pulled away from him.

“Ah, could have done with five more minutes of that.” He said, smiling at him and walking towards the door, ready to open it. “Come in, guys.”
