I'm at work rn, and I'm completely burnt out. Can you create where Mc is burnt-out and is still being asked to do favors by others, but still tries their best. And Vil, Malleus, or Leona thwarts off all the people annoying Mc? Sorry if I asked it weird, I have never requested anything before and don't know how to ask.😓

You’re getting scolded by Leona first and foremost. The fact you even agree to do simple tasks for others when they’re fully capable of doing it themselves annoyed him, but he generally kept his mouth shut, at least depending on the request. Seeing you push yourself to your limits for the sake of other people is what really grated his nerves, especially when they lacked gratitude and continued to ask for more as if they were testing your limits. He didn’t often get involved on your behalf because he saw you as fully capable of making your own decisions, but it seemed you were perfectly fine being taken advantage of and that wasn’t sitting well with him. His words are harsh, to the point, a clear threat of what will happen if he sees one more person approach you with anything even resembling a favor.

Malleus Draconia:

If Malleus is willing to use his scary boyfriend privilege for anything, it would be against those trying to take advantage of your kind heart. He had always admired it about you, though he worried about the level of naïveté you showed when it came to helping others; these things always had a price, and he wished it wasn’t always at your expense. Malleus shoos them away like they’re nothing more than annoying birds, the menacing smile remaining on his face as he led you away before they could attempt to appeal to you. He did have to question why, even despite looking exhausted, you still wanted to try so hard for others, prepared to forbid you from accepting extra requests until your own work life had calmed down a bit.

Vil Schoenheit:

Vil is another person who really preferred letting you handle your own business, only stepping in when you asked for his opinion or he really thought you were acting out of line. This was one of the times he couldn’t bite his tongue, hoping you didn’t take it personally when he delivered his honest opinion that you were acting foolish by taking on more than you could handle. He understood that at times you were too nice for your own good but that made you a target for lazy people who couldn’t fulfill their own tasks and instead wanted to push the stress onto you. It was all gain for them and no reward for you, which Vil holds a finger up to silence you when you attempt to fight back that just helping was a reward in itself. He didn’t hide the disdain on his face when he confronted the next person attempting to get a favor from you, telling them to do the work themselves as you were on vacation at the moment.

I noticed an interesting little consistency with the Platinum Jacket suits for all the characters! Every dorm has a little pin that's placed on their outfit and it's representative of the dorm they belong to, but not only that, every dorm places the pin in the exact same location AND they style scarf that goes along with their outfit in the exact same way for every dorm member! A good thing to recognize if you want to draw one of your OC dorm members in the outfit!

Grim doesn't have a scarf or a pin to go along with his outfit, so if you have a Ramshackle OC this allows you full freedom to style the scarf accessory and make the pin whatever you'd like! 😊

ferro twirling cane theory

***Stage in Playful Land spoilers below the cut!!***

This theory is in regards to this animation. Please note that there is also a variation of it without the stars. (The starless effect plays more frequently.)

The idea is that when Ferro twirls the cane (and especially when the stars appear), he’s actually casting a subtle spell that either makes himself come off as more convincing to others and/or to make those he’s speaking to more susceptible to believing what they’re told (a “YOu’RE DuMB NOW” spell). Alternatively, it could be that the nature of this magic amplifies hedonistic desires (to cut loose, to live freely, to have fun, etc.) while also dampening reason. I do believe he already has a natural charisma about him, but clearly what Ferro is offering is SUPER shady—in which case, some magic of this nature may help.

The starry effect differentiating the cane twirls is already suspect, but what adds to the sus factor is that the two times it plays out (in part 1) was in parts when the NRC boys were wary of him. The first instance was when Ferro bumped into the first group; after twirling and scattering stars, everyone’s attitude toward him softens. The same happens again when the third years came to the departure location to stop their juniors. Their behavior shift was more slight compared to the first and second years, which makes me think there’s a natural ceiling to Ferro’s magic (ie he can only be so persuasive with it).

ADDENDUM: We see Ferro using the cane twirl with the starry effect a lot more in part 2 of the event; he seems to be using it whenever the NRC boys are resistant to having fun in Playful Land.

I wonder it’s his… unique magic/signature spell????? Because we know Jade and Jamil’s UM are also a variant of mind manipulation magic… and since we got Rollo’s UM, surely we must also get Ferro’s eventually, right???? I believe Ferro also says the same or a similar line each time the sparkling stick twirl animation plays, “there’s nothing to be scared about” or something to that effect. Again, it feels a lot like Jade’s UM and incantation.

Don’t know if anyone else has asked this but: How did you get so good at art??? Like, did you go to an art school, taught yourself or something? If you did, how did you start out? Did something make you feel bad about your art? Any tips for beginners or artists who feel like they’re not progressing?

I’m mostly self-taught, graduated from art school this year but to be honest it only exposed me to more art-related softwares and careers. It’s crucial to practise art during your free time as much as possible if you want to get better 😭🙏🏻

I started art because I liked drawing my delusions and telling stories HAHA as for tips:

-Don’t stress over art style, start now and keep drawing it will come naturally TRUST.

-You don’t need to draw everyday, take breaks and avoid hurting your wrist

SIT DOWN, Y'ALL IT'S A DOOZY AND YOU'LL NEED IT

The new characters are Ferro Honest and Gideru, the latter of which is not voiced. However, Ferro Honest will be voiced by Tomokazu Sugita!!

Some new event images!! The new event is called "Stage in Playful Land ~Dancing Puppets and the Fantastical Theme Park~"! The boys will be headed to "Playful Land". You get to forget all your worries and have fun all day, no need to pay! How shady! There has to be a catch to it...

NEW CARDS TIME!!!!!

First up, the Rs (Trey, Jack, Jade, Lilia)! You can automatically see that the poses are very dynamic and incorporate ribbons. They look like they're being puppeteered on strings!!

Next, the SRs (Cater, Leona, Floyd, Vil)! asdihlbaoyfeqfba They all look like they're having so much fun moving around their limbs and posing~

Last, but not least, the SSRs (Ace, Kalim, Ortho)! THEY'RE ALL SO DRAMATIC (especially Ace, look at him hamming it up)... It's really rare to see this kind of an expression on Kalim too, so it's a treat! Ortho was practically a given because of the Pinocchio inspiration of this event, but it's still so great to see the confirmation.

Yana-sensei was inspired by marionettes while designing this line of cards! She paid special attention to the patchwork in the clothes (there are even some easter eggs in there, particularly on the SSR trio). THE NEW HALLOWEEN EVENT STARTS ON THE 20TH 🤡THAT'S THE END OF THIS WEEK.... . . .. ............ . . .. . . .... . . .. . . . .

Ace, Lilia: Be Not Deceived

OH???? 👁️ One of the paintings in the background is the Ace of Hearts card soldiers… Does this mean we’ll get to see the actual character inspos for each boy, even the obscure ones like Jack and Sebek??? Will we finally solve a 3+ year long mystery??????? 🔍

… Also, not Ace casually wanting to go to karaoke with Scar 😭 (Funny, cuz he was denied hearing L*ona sing during Endless Halloween Night.) Figures that Ace would be the best at singing of the first years, the others are just no competition…

A Tale as Old as Time.

Not every work of art had a seriousness about it. In fact, Ace preferred to ogle the sillier pieces, finding solace in the nonsense and the chaos of them.

Hands shoved into the pockets of his finely tailored slacks, he found himself entranced by a bed of oysters. They were pried open, one half of their shells propped up to resemble bonnets. Their fleshy, round faces were still drowsy from sleep.

Little babies, the whole lot of them.

“My, you’ve taken quite an interest in that painting. I wouldn’t have expected it of you.” The remark came from Lilia, who curiously peered over at Ace from one side. “Have you an interest in oysters?”

“Nah, can’t stand’m. Especially raw,” he replied. “I was just thinkin’ of something I heard from back home."

“Oh?" Lilia’s large eyes glittered with a keen interest. “Now this I must hear.”

“It’s not really that interesting.” Ace shrugged. “A walrus dressed up in a suit to wine and dine a bunch of oysters—but the punchline is, instead of being taken out to dinner, the oysters are the walrus’s dinner! We have a Walrus-brand oyster sauce in the Queendom of Roses that gets its name from that story."

“Kufufu, I see! What a fascinating origin," Lilia mused. "It's a cautionary tale to not trust strangers. It brings to mind warnings to be wary of wolves in sheep’s clothing.”

"I guess so? The walrus looked nice at first glance, but he basically robbed a cradle. Seriously, who'd actually go and kidnap a baby like that? It’s just an exaggerated story to scare gullible kids into acting straight.”

Lilia's mouth adopted a mysterious, knowing smile.

"Oh, you'd be surprised!" he chuckled softly. "You never know when a big, bad monster might come in the night to steal you away from your family."

There was an eerie intenseness behind his every word, the magenta of his irises darkening to match. A shiver bolted down Ace’s spine. Lilia, too, was a creature of that very night that threatened to consume him.

"Y-Yeesh, you're freakin' me out, Lilia-senpai” Ace jokingly shoved his upperclassman. His fear had been fleeting, easily chased off with a laugh. “Don't say scary stuff like that. Halloween isn't for like another whole month!"

“Oopsie~ Perhaps I’m a little overeager.”

“I’ll say.” Ace rolled his eyes. “Sometimes I forget how weird you can be.”

“What, you don’t think someone as adorable as me could possibly be capable of committing a war crime or two?” Lilia grinned. “I’m not entirely innocent, you know.”

“You definitely wouldn’t be able to pull off any war crimes though!! You just act way different than your looks would suggest.” Ace rapped his knuckles on the wall beside the framed oysters. “Like the lying walrus.”

“Do you think I’m a lying walrus?” The question was teasing.

“Everyone is. There’s plenty of them in Heartslabyul too.” Ace counted off on his fingers.

“Loosey Deucy comes off like a straight-laced honors student, but he’s an ex-delinquent and dumb as a rock. Cater-senpai looks flashy and friendly, but he’ll trick you into doing his chores and leave you hanging. Trey-senpai’s got his weird teeth hobby… and then there’s Riddle-ryocho, who has a babyface but throws fits like an active volcano!!

“The Great Seven had parts of themselves that were surprising too. No one would think the King of Beasts would be the type of guy to be belt out a song, but he still did. That’s what moved the hyenas to join his cause. It just goes to show that you really can’t judge a book by its cover.”

"A good takeaway from the tale," Lilia agreed. "Taking the morals of a story to heart... you're very clever, Ace."

"The cleverest." He cheekily stuck out his tongue.

The knowing smile suddenly returned to Lilia's face. "I'm sure you have a wicked side to yourself as well. As you've said, we all have a bit of the lying walrus in us."

"No way, miss me with that. I’m the poor, helpless victim,” Ace grumbled, rubbing at his neck. It had stiffened considerably at the memory of his skin chaffing. “Haaah, if only I wasn't bullied so much by my dorm leader~"

"By Riddle?" Lilia smirked a little. "His temper is rather infamous. Silver and Sebek are his club mates. I've heard of Riddle's rage.”

"Dude, you don't know the half of it. He's always nagging me one way or another, and if I don't listen... BAM!

"'Off with Your Head'!!" Ace scrunched up his face in a show of pretend anger and pantomimed casting a spell by wiggling his fingers. The voice he adopted was elegant, yet arrogant—a replica of Riddle's. "Now you sit there and think about what you've done, Ace! The collar comes off when you've repented."

He fell back with a groan, Lilia's amused chuckle accompanying him in the otherwise quiet museum.

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up while you still can."

From the corner of his eye, Ace spotted the oysters again. The entire bed, a colony of easily deceived infants. Unaware of the world and its eager, snapping jaws—the jaws of a well-dressed walrus.

“Guess a smile and a snazzy suit is all it takes to get people to waltz right into a trap, huh? With the right looks and attitude, even a villain can be made to pass as a hero.”

Ace tugged at the silver sash slung across his torso, drinking in the details of his luxurious platinum suit. A bow tie, a vest, a jacket with trailing coattails. Shining fabric, pure and unblemished.

He was all dressed up, with nowhere to go. Only lies to tell.

“You make for a good hero,” Lilia offered, “with that winsome charm and cheer of yours. Ah, but that’s not all. It never is. These old eyes can’t be deceived.”

“Whaaat? I can’t believe you’d side with Riddle over me. I’m being unfairly ganged up on here!! Aaah, my senpai are so mean to me…!”

His laments echoed off the cavernous rooms of the museum. Mere whining of a high school boy against the backdrop of great figures and illustrious history.

He was small, one little white lie against a sea of them.

“… Juuust kidding.”

Ace turned away, a wink thrown playfully at the painting of the oysters before their very doom.

As if anyone would believe that.

They're forgiving/don't hold any bad blood with the people who've overblotted (at least on the outside).

According to the Harveston event, they can play the flute.

They don't like bringing up the fact that they might go back to their world (Deuce's Wishing Star vignette).

Many people seem to consider them a "goody-two shoes" (Leona, Ruggie).

A good listener.

Based off of Malleus' interactions with them, Yuu talks to him a lot more off-screen as Malleus states that he values their opinions.

Loves Grim to hell and back.

It's implied that Yuu invites Malleus over frequently enough that he visits unprompted.

They can be snarky and brutally honest when they're pushed into it.

Comes up with stupid plans that nobody believes will work but it somehow does.

They're insecure about not having any magic.

They want to be able to help their friends.

Has a sense of self-preservation.

Does not actively seek out danger (*cough* om mc *cough*).

They've cleaned up Ramshackle since living there, however, it still looks "abandoned & ancient" on the outside.

Crowley doesn't give them more money than "needed".

They don't know much about mushrooms (Floyd's Camp Vargas vignette).

They're very patient.

Used to be afraid of ghosts until they got to Twisted Wonderland.

They adapt to new/difficult situations quickly and calmly.

They don't complain much.

Very much so the silent type.

The audience doesn't really see anyone helping them out with their situation, so I assume they fix most of their problems themselves.

They don't have any memories of the Great Seven prior to coming to Twisted Wonderland.

Fluctuates between being observant and not noticing really basic stuff.

Doesn't hesitate to say cheesy things.

Keeps calm in harsh situations.
