It’s been a week, so should be safe to share. I won’t give names just in case. A little over a month ago I was commissioned to ma a #raygun for a #weddinggift. Only direction I was given was they wanted it in the old #flashgordon style sci-fi and they would love it to light up and make noise. I had a lot of fun with this build. I think I captured the feel of the old campy sci-fi movies pretty good. What do you guys think? This was a fun and simple build. It’s just a cork board, canvas and sticks from my back yard. Im sorry I forgot to take a before wrapping the cork board. Finally found a way to display the tracker fly lantern I made a few years ago. Took some inspiration from a key hook sign I found on etsy and Pinterest and put my own twist on it. I did my best to make it feel like it came right out of a Monster Hunter game. So did NY Renn Faire this past weekend and wore my Musketeer garb. It was very comfortable and I got a lot of compliments. I talked with a couple of awesome guys that gave me some pointers to make it better. So planing on weathering the gambeson to make it pop more. Also huge thanks to my buddy for lending me his rapier for the weekend. Definitely need to get my own. Also as a cosplayer I need to work on posing better for photos.
