ok so backstory: me and my bestie were hanging out together at her house and i got this random number text, and we made up this story and a song. So the trees are alive and they’re trying to eat and possess us all, and we’re mourning Steve (who my friend is pretending to be) b/c he was eaten by a tree except Jeremy (this guy)isn’t mourning him b/c he’s mad b/ Steve hit on his sister. But he doesn’t have a sister so he accidentally hit on jeremy’s mom. And so jeremy ghosted him so in spite, Steve hit on Jeremy’s grandma. But his grandma was married to a tree that tried to possess her so she ate the tree. Then she ate jeremy, and then she ate steve, who then got eaten by jeremy.

I will never forgive what Shannon did to the original trio of kotlc. I’m rereading the first three books and the way Marella, Dex, and Jensi were always there hurts my heart knowing they’ll be nothing but side character after the 3rd book.
