this is a good question and these dolls are actually available to order! here’s the link to the maker’s shop! if you don’t live in japan you’ll need a proxy to order, but you can use the “add to buyee” feature on the website or just paste into your preferred proxy! there’s lots of characters and they usually come with a shikishi and a little laminated character, so unpacking these is a huge joy. HIGHLY recommend.

my holy grail item that didn’t even exist for a while! i found this twitter user called nuinuimadedes who makes these cute little felt touhou dolls by hand to be auctioned and have been waiting for them to make a yuuka doll! i’m really lucky to have won the auction and i’m so happy to finally have her, it’s like a dream being realized! ♡🌻

dedicated post to these handmade touhou dolls i won in a japanese auction before everyone got sent to their forever homes! i split these amongst my friends on insta and mailed them out today! they’re so teeny tiny and well-made, this yuuka is basically never leaving my side.

my yuuka bag collection grows! i decided to display these little handmade dolls by sana mama in this cute strawberry bag i got from ani♡Я shop and they fit nicely! not shown but i also bought a crossbody strap from this shop for my practical use! i love the different fabric patterns and the frilly design a lot! 🍰🍓

what’s your favorite out of all of yuukas themes? (I have a feeling it may be sleeping terror, which is my fave too lol)

I love all of Yuuka’s themes! I fixate on a different one now and then but my most consistent favorite is probably Faint Dream ~Inanimate Dream… I do love Sleeping Terror a lot though and thought it sounded cooler as a username. But I’m still really indecisive, so I’d safely say that her Lotus Land Story boss themes both hold the torch as my favorite… I loved Yuuka a lot in this game and found her hilarious during this era overall.

I will make note of the fact that Lovely Mound of Cherry Blossoms ~ Japanese Flower is criminally underrated as a Yuuka theme. Granted it’s Seihou and many people won’t count for it… and I’m pretty sure ZUN had it rebranded as a potential reference to Yuyuko instead in the Comiket 63 version of DiPP which devastates me a little as much as I love Yuyuko. I will always and forever cling to it being a Yuuka theme!

Now I don’t want to say Past and Present Gensokyo is my least favorite… because again, I love all Yuuka themes. It has a melancholy sound to it that makes me overthink it a little and add meaning to it that probably isn’t there. Given the fact that Yuuka is a returning character from the old works, there is a throbbing nostalgia to the song that makes me feel like reminiscing the past while seeing her in the new era. Perhaps Yuuka herself might be a little sentimental, lol.

I wonder if I should still mention her LLS stage themes, but I’ve yapped enough, I love all her themes because I love Yuuka and that basically sums it up.

Recent melon soda float i made (for a TikTok). It’s hard to notice but the glass itself has Yuuka on it! The “cherry” is a strawberry gummy because I had no cherries, don’t come for me please! Not quite the beautiful emerald green drink I had in Japan, but it really hit the spot, I won’t lie.

I love how people have different perspectives on how Yuuka handles her own reputation, on one hand you have the popular fanon perspective that she really is this brutal and sadistic youkai that is merciless to any and everyone that disturbs her. Then you have this other perspective that she’s either mellowed out or was actually misunderstood and is tired of being treated like such a threat, lol.
