Alright, here are the last two clarifications I promised.

1) That beta sprite, I have now discovered, is not of Kumatora. It is in Aeolia’s sprite sheet [source] and thus, probably of her.

2) The year I stated for the newspapers in Mother 2 are incorrect because the calculated year by day of the week and calendar day changes its matched year in the 90s depending on the newspaper you pick. I just so happened to not take all of the samples to see the years changed so the exact year is still inconclusive.

I’ll need to make some corrections to some misinforming “facts” I got wrong or incomplete on here but other than that, I’ll be declaring this blog dead (as if it wasn’t already lol) due to my faded interest in the series. While most characters in the Mother series do not celebrate a canon birth date, there is one that does! It's Ana Brewton, her birthday landing on December 23rd (the day before Christmas Eve) according to the Mother Encyclopedia! If you go off of the original year of Mother 1 having been 1988, (stated on a different page of the encyclopedia) and the fact that she’s 12 years old, she would have been born on exactly December 23, 1975 and be nearly 50 years old today (if she were real, that is!)

Did you know that in EarthBound’s Dusty Dunes Desert there is a random mole near the entrance that is nearly impossible to avoid? This mole is intended to be encountered on purpose to activate a flag that allows the sunstroke condition to start after you enter the area instead of on the road!

Pictured below is an actual image Toby Fox made for starmen.net's 2007 Fun-Fest! ..I have no words.

Upon further inspection, going to the link found in the image leads to a now-deleted page.

However, through the power of the Wayback Machine, we're actually able to see what this page said all the way back in 2007! "Everyone's named their favorite food "Poop" at least once. But do they understand the effect it has?

"Pokey, would you like some Poop? You don't like Poop? Well T-O-O B-A-D!"

What does this line mean?

Does it mean that Pokey is forced to eat the Poop? Is it that he has to watch his friend eat feces in front of him, while he watches in horror and embarassment that everyone seems to be enjoying themselves except him?

This is why he does all the terrible things he does. This is his motivation. Admist all the snake-slaying, dog-fighting heroes, if the good guys eat poop and laugh at you, wouldn't you turn to the evil side?

This is Pokey's true motivation.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Okay not really but recently I found out about this one earthbound postcard? With a new year's theme and some exclusive sprites. Just look at those boars I love them.

So I tried to recreate a bunch of these. They aren't the best but for the most part they get the point across.

No I'm not making a winter tile set for onett. I don't have as much experience with that sort of thing.

Did you know that a few things sit outside of ordinary view in Smash’s Onett stage? I’ve gathered a few shots of this to show a few things out of frame! (Sorted by exactly where these are.) The layout of the town naturally has a different layout to how Onett actually is, but it’s kind of cool how most of the essentials are there.

To the left:
