My cosplay and papercut work is on display at the @schackartcenter Schack Art Center in Everett for their THIS ART LIFE: INVENTING YOUR PATH exhibit.

April 3 - June 8

Took Intern 1 to the opening reception last night, what a troll.

For my cosplays I tried to highlight different techniques by including props using thermoplastics and lasercut acrylic. Crochet work with my life size amigurumi Yoshi woolly world kigurumi onesie, and sewing work of combining a video game character Princess Peach mixed with a Chinese QiBao dress with a matching Chinese headdress inspired crown. My Princess Kakyuu (from Sailor Moon ) dress, showcases how I use the same fabric across the dress, shoes, and hat.

I also got to display a bit of my papercut work in process photos of My Dress Up Darling and an intricate Wonder Woman piece

I did a write up of my bio of how art was also in my interest and how I failed to chase my dream of becoming an animator yet cartoons still continued to inspire my art. I also did a write up about Fake Geeks and all the work I put into researching pop culture to ensure I am never a Fake Geek. I think I'll post that write up some time because I feel very strongly about the topic.

A clothing rack and hanging jewelry bags is my favorite booth vending item I have. It's so easy to see and access my stock. No need to kneel or bend around trying to find stuff. Flipping through each one is fast. And I have a clothing rack at home that I can quickly put that up on for easy to see what needs to be restocked. I use these to hold my enamel pins, acrylic charms, and magnets. I can also hang supplies too via a different pocket set I use but temporarily being used by my daughter in the car so I'll need to get a replacement.
