MY MATCHUP INFO

Appearance: 5’2” with a stout, built physique. Shoulder length auburn hair and gunmetal blue eyes. Some of my defining features are my thick eyebrows which I move a lot when emoting, my square jaw, and the many scars that adorn my arms, chest and legs from fighting, exploring, and animals.

Personality: I’m an observer and schemer half of the time, the other time I’m an competitive gremlin that you hate to love. I have my own niche way of saying things, and I have a worryingly sharp wit. I can be rather unsure when it comes to romantic feelings, so I often tend to act like I don’t care about my crush, until I know it’s reciprocated, then I’m very passionate about them. I’m flirty unintentionally and awkward the moment I try to be purposeful about it. I’m an INTP, a Slytherin and a Wampus, my Genshin element would probably be Hydro or Electro, and my weapon would be Polearm. I’d be a main dps or sub dps without a doubt.

Hobbies and Special talents: I love a good challenge, physically speaking, and I always try to be the best at what I’m passionate about. I love fighting with whoever accepts my offer, whether it be street fighter-esque hits, simple slap boxing, or straight up sword duels (I have a few battle ready swords.). Job interviews are terrifying for most introverts, including myself. We often have to lie and pretend to be extroverts to get a job. Introverted qualities like being a good listener, more focussed on details, and able to work on their own are not as appreciated as extroverted qualities such as being a good team player, outgoing, and mixing well. That is a pity because introverts are usually reliable, allegiant, and hard-working employees.

why is it always assumed intps are super knowledgeable and interested only about learning text book things?

I can’t say I’m not, because I am, I particularly love studying animals for hours. But I’m also not just someone who enjoys sitting down and just flipping through a book on physics or chemistry or just some generic science-y thing someone slapped into an intp post about how they love to study it extensively ( they’re not wrong really, i enjoy science and history a lot and study stuff under those things for probably an alarming amount of time and for no good reason) BUT can we please address how some intps will go to just as many lengths as they do to study “school and nerdy things” for like shows, animes, music, etc. Like once i love a show, I LOVE a show. i will look up everything my tiny heart desires about my fav character or even a specific episode. for example: I loved/ still love twilight and i spent 6 solid weeks just searching up anything and everything about it (it’s okay to laugh, im disappointed too)

So I imagine it that way (metaphorical explanation of the four functions in a stack and what part they play)

Your dominant function is like the person driving the car. It decides where you’re heading, what pace you wanna go etc. It’s responsible for decisions and everything working smoothly together.

Your auxiliary function is the engine, the one actually carrying out the plan or just the motion. It’s also the one most obviously visible to others (they see the vehicle first right? And think “wait there’s a car coming.” Not a person who’s actually driving)

The tertiary function is more like your navigation system. It determines what way you’ll get there, what short cuts you are willing to make or what detours (for whatever reasons the driver may have- it may even be logical let’s say if you’ve gotta handle something else on your way as well. But it could also just be because that route is more beautiful or more fun to drive)

The inferior function is comparable to the outer influences you might experience on your way. You can’t really do anything about them but they effect you. Like for example if it’s raining you gotta go slower of if there’s a speed limit. If the sun is shining and it’s comfortable you might get there easier (so if the inferior is satisfied and cooperating)

It’s just the way I see it and maybe it helps you sort out your functions if you use this metaphor...

INTP Cognitive Functions

(this has probably been done before but whatever)

Ti: Bullshit detector. Can learn basically anything if Si likes it. Lives in it’s own world (mostly turns out fine). Simultaneously makes INTP feel like the smartest and dumbest person alive. Always. On.

Ne: LSD + Crack cocaine. Used to create simulations for Ti’s calculations before doing stuff in real life. Often, INTP is satisfied with just the simulation.

Si: A spoiled kid, kind of picky (but Fe will never speak Si speak up about it). Will play the same music 100 times until Ti has deconstructed it backwards and upside down. Tries to remember exact details but Ne already deleted that simulation.

Fe: Last remnant of INTP’s humanity. Hypersensitivity to other people. The rest of the mind pushes Fe into a corner reserved for sympathizing with fictional characters. Often hijacks Ne in secret to create their own social simulations. Ti has no idea what to do with this information.

We often call clothes silk when they are satin, velvet where they are velveteen or we have no clue what we’re on about. So today let’s look at fabrics.

Laying down the law

Many renaissance/mediaeval societies governed over who could wear what. By adding these laws you had a layer of depth to your world.

Women and men could only be dressed n clothes benefiting their position

Female servants or their daughters could not wear veils costing more than twelve pence

Knightly families could not wear cloth of gold or sable fur or velvets

The wife or daughter of a labourer were not to wear clothes beyond a certain price or a girdle garnished with silver

Cloth of gold and purple silk only worn by the royal family. This goes for ermine.

The importation of silk and lace foreigners was prohibited when the kingdom produced those textiles.

Peasant Clothing (Beggars to Merchant classes)

Wool: This was the staple of much of the clothes owned by peasants. It was in supply and it wasn’t as costly as most fabrics when undyed. It was also warm.

Linen: Forget about softness. Peasant linen was made of coarser weaves and flax. It was heavier than noble linen.

Cotton: A lightweight fabric used in hotter climates. It was softer than the linen and airier.

Fustian: heavy cloth woven from cotton, for menswear.

Leather: Leather was used for boots and shoes rather than killer jackets.

Nobility & Royalty

Cloth of Gold: Cloth made from woven threads of gold (very expensive)

Cloth of silver: cloth made from woven silver strands (very expensive)

Trim: a line of material or fur that finishes off a hem or cuff.

Piping: a cord lining the fabric creating a ribbed look.

Colours
