I lowkey got inspiration from three songs I just listened to. So I made this cuz I need to write more after being gone for so long. 🥲

AU ideas because I'm bored AF

1. Traveling Circus AU

Echo is part of a traveling circus in this AU. I would think she's either a strong man, trapeze, or even a Contortionists.

Draxum didn't want much to do with her from the moment she was created, so she ran away at a young age. She had found a circus in the Hidden City and was greeted with nothing but kindness by the members of the circus. Echo then joined soon after.

After years of being in the circus, Mars joins and she still dies just not by Echo's hands. But Echo blames herself for it because she had the opportunity to save her but didn't take it in time. Eventually the magician of the circus (you know who) gets in trouble with the turtles and the turtles find the circus during an performance. Which caused them to meet Echo while she was doing her act. Then it all goes on from there.

2. Reincarnation AU

This AU is pretty complicated but I love it so much along with the Traveling Circus AU way too much not to talk about it.

I know Echo was created in a "lab" by Draxum but I had a way to explain this in a way it does sort of make sense. BTW all the events are the same just a lot more tension between Splinter and Echo and after the whole Krang incident, a lot happens.

Ok so, Echo is the reincarnation of an extremely powerful deity from a different clan that was allies with the Hamato Clan. "But Echo was made in a lab, how would that even work?" I hear you asking. Well I will explain just that to you! I like to imagine when the deity died (I don't have much about them yet) their soul looked for the nearest and best vessel it could find. So they took Echo as their vessel.

This also adds more trauma and angst because it gives Echo way too many identity crisis'. Also Splinter knows about the deity because I said so. To add more angst a whole situation happens while they try to take down a Krang level threat, they find a weapon and since the said deity died while also being a vessel for the said weapon, Echo is now the vessel for than weapon which causes absolute chaos but she learns to control it.

There's a lot more but I'll explain the rest if y'all like it :)

The thought disrupted her attention span as she tried her best to listen to whatever the hell Big Mama was saying. Suddenly, she was dismissed. The only thing she got from that while lecture was that Big Mama needed to go handle of "buisness" and that Big Mama needed to handle it alone. So now Echo had the day to herself. So, Echo did what any normal citizen would do.... GO PARTY!!! She actually just wanted to go to bed.

As Echo walked towards her personal room, she accidentally bumped into somebody. "I'm so sorry!" Echo apologized. "Are you ok? I didn't mean to bump into you. You're not injured, are you?" She asked before making eye contact with the other person. She recognized them, they were another battle nexus fighter, they were super talented in battle. "Wait.... I know you! You're... Mars, right?" She asked again as she helped Mars up. Echo was always bad with names, but she wasn't about to forget a fellow champion.

"I am! My goodness, you must be Echo Walker! I'm such a huge fan of your work! My friends are gonna be so jealous that I got to meet you before they could." Mars fangirled a small bit before realizing how she must be sound. "But I am fine, thanks for worrying. I gotta say, you're a lot different than I thought you'd be..." Mars started, clearly a little confused since she had a picture painted about what Echo would be like outside of Battle Nexus but this was definitely not it.

"Really? And what did you think of me as? A ruthless dictator? Perhaps an emotionless recluse?" Echo teased slightly, she crossed her arms as she looked at Mars. Mars felt her face flush ever so slightly at the teasing, Mars did not want to sound like that; "Of course not! It's just-" "I'm just messing with you! I get that reaction more than you'd know. So don't worry if you think you're being awkward," Echo calmed Mars.

"Soooo....what did you think of me as? I'm a bit curious now," Echo questioned. "Well.... I kinda imaged you as a bit more dark and mysterious, maybe even a bit kept you yourself too." Mars confessed as she circled Echo a little. "But it eased my nerves to know you would obliterate me for being in your way-" "You're way!? I was the one who bumped into you!" Echo argued slightly.

"Ok then, 'for you bumping into me'. But now I'm starting to think that we'd make great friends!" Mars suggested as she looked up at Echo with pleading eyes. Echo felt a smile creep up her face. Echo sighed in defeat and nodded. Mars giggled in pure bliss as she started to drag Echo around to start their "totally awesome friendship spree," as she would call it.

Maybe making one friend wouldn't be so bad.
