Headspace HERO Headcanons (Discontinued)

A/N: Back with more headcanons from my Wattpad! Sorry this ones short! I didn't have all that many ideas at the moment for HEADSPACE HERO!

Warnings: None!

Word Count: 604

- The man of the hour!

- Writing this instead of the essay I'm supposed to be working on! Pop off! 

- This man doesn't have a mom to do work for so he likes to do things for HEADSPACE MARI! Similar to chores like buying things she needs from the mailbox and such. 

- Like REAL WORLD HERO he's an early morning type of guy, he's able to focus and think the best when he first starts an adventure! That's always when his JUICE is at it's highest thanks to natural rest!

- HEADSPACE HERO, unlike REAL WORLD HERO doesn't pick up or touch anyone! Sometimes he'll give HEADSPACE MARI a hug or even rarely give HEADSPACE AUBREY or HEADSPACE BASIL a hug or a pat on the shoulder or head but he's not so much of a touchy feeling type. 

- There's no obvious reason as to why this is, it could be that he's just gotten used to keeping his distance thanks to HEADSPACE KEL being a little more aggressive, or he could just simply not like touching or coming close to people. He won't make a big deal of someone touches him though, he's not uncomfortable with touching people or being close to someone, it's just not something he does actively.

- The definition of child friendly. Never has even one out of place thought. Always tries to avoid using foul language. He will catch on to an inappropriate joke though! Doesn't mean he'll be happy about someone making one though! But rarely he'll give an awkward chuckle. 

-  10/10 pretty boy. 

- Unlike REAL WORLD HERO he sleeps on his side! Good thing he's not as monster-ish as his REAL WORLD counterpart.

- HEADSPACE HERO is always encouraging the youngsters! Telling them to try their hardest! He always tells them that great things will happen if they do!

- He usually encourages OMORI and HEADSPACE BASIL! Those two are not as confident as HEADSPACE AUBREY and HEADSPACE KEL. 

- He usually only tries to calm HEADPSPACE KEL down. After all, HEADSPACE KEL is intense. Usually HEADSPACE's HERO'S attempts are in vain. HEADSPACE KEL usually just gets more hyper.

- Interested in listening to the stories that HEADSPACE MARI will sometimes tell. Usually romance or adventure types. He likes them! Though he likes HEADSPACE MARI's voice in general. He would listen to her go on about something for hours if he could. He can't though. Adventures await!

- Sometimes likes to bug HEADSPACE AUBREY about her crush on OMORI often. He finds it funny how she's so embarrassed to admit it!

- Always has clams on him! Usually in the one hundreds! Just to make sure that if the group needs anything on short notice for HEALTH or JUICE he's ready!

- Loves LIFE JAM! Doesn't like LIFE JAM GUY.

- He's a wuss like REALWORLD HERO! Doesn't like to get in unprovoked fights and is not a man who likes drama. Luckily most of the groups drama is just between HEADSPACE AUBREY and HEADSPACE KEL. Though they usually work through it with some tough effort.

- Also like REALWORLD HERO, he's the first to fall asleep. And also like REALWORLD HERO he always wakes up with something drawn on his face. Whether it be a mustache or a sprout mole . It's almost always HEADSPACE KEL.

- Can't stand up for himself at all. HEADSPACE AUBREY and HEADPSPACE MARI always stand up for him.

- Was really worried about HEADSPACE BASIL when he went missing! How could've this happened? HEADSPACE HERO was supposed to look after everyone and yet he somehow lost HEADSPACE BASIL!

- Promised he'd find HEADSPACE BASIL. Swore he would.

Headspace MARI Headcanons

(Discontinued)

A/N: Took awhile but I'm back! I finally got my motivation back! So here's some more headcanons! As always this is from my Wattpad! Also more mentions of slightly ooc HEADSPACE KEL!

Word Count: 1k

- Very purple

- The mom of the group, often caring for the five of them. Anything to keep them happy, healthy, and safe!

- Surprisingly! She doesn't have favorites! Well... Kinda. Her favorite is obviously OMORI, but she likes to try and keep it even and equal between them all.

- Likes to compliment her brother! She's just so proud of him and she loves him so much! And she wants him to know it!

- Unlike REAL WORLD MARI she does not show any signs of being on the autism spectrum nor is she on it. This is because SUNNY was usually unaware of the fact that MARI was on the spectrum. He knew, but he usually forgot.

- Is always willing to give the younger kids some life lessons! She knows they can be troublesome and so she wants help them grow out of it, but her advice usually never sticks, especially on HEADSPACE KEL and HEADSPACE AUBREY.

- HEADSPACE MARI tries to help HEADSPACE HERO keep HEADSPACE KEL under control but not even she can really do it. Though she did take notice that HEADSPACE KEL is a lot nicer to her then HEADSPACE HERO...  

- Sometimes she'll be the one to keep a tight hold on HEADSPACE KEL for HEADSPACE HERO. HEADSPACE KEL has a beachball and he's usually not afraid to throw it at someone. She hopes her presence can sooth the rowdy young boy, even slightly. 

- She doesn't like being confined to the picnic blanket. She wants to join the others on their adventures and whatnot. She also just wants to be there to protect her little brother and the other youngsters! But she trusts HEADSPACE HERO, she hopes he can keep them safe, and she's sure he does.

- Usually likes to hear about what the group did from HEADSPACE HERO. He's the most reliable source of information. But also because she just likes the sound of his voice. He's so sweet in her eyes. No one better.

- Likes to tease him like REAL WORLD MARI did! It's funny to her to see him get all flustered. She loves him so much!

- She likes to tease HEADSPACE AUBREY, HEADSPACE KEL, and HEADSPACE BASIL too. Not OMORI. She can't tell if it bothers him or not and she doesn't like it.

- While her and HEADSPACE BASIL are by themselves she likes to look through his photo album with him! He's like her second little brother and she treats him as such! She also lets him tell her about his plants and plant facts for hours!

- She also plays games with him! Since the others aren't around to play games with him she does it! She likes making her friends smile and happy, and this is just one of the many ways to put a smile on HEADSPACE BASIL's face.

-  HEADSPACE MARI always likes to get the food she has at her picnic blanket from whatever area she's in! Preferably from a store! She knows that eating the same thing over and over again can get tiring so she likes to change it up for her friends!

- She doesn't do much other then support OMORI by hugging him, feeding him, and giving him advice that most of the time doesn't really help. But she's there. Though sometimes it seems like she's just suppose to be there and do nothing else, just sit there and look pretty, as well as give her brother a big smile.

- Likes to tell the group whenever they're relaxing a story she just makes up on the spot. She's very good at doing that and she knows that they appreciate it. Well, maybe not HEADSPACE KEL.

- She's a hair ruffler. Can't escape it. She will, and wants to do it. 

-  HEADSPACE KEL hates it. He doesn't like people touching him or his hair. Will try to hit HEADSPACE MARI if she does, but OMORI or HEADSPACE HERO always stops him.

- HEADSPACE BASIL doesn't mind! He's not quite used to it, but he knows it's just her trying to show her affection, and so he lets her. He just likes to make sure she hasn't ruined his flower crown and politely asks her to watch out for it. She always does. 

- HEADSPACE HERO is so confused. He's taller then her, first off. And not only that but she treating him like a little kid. He's not a little kid. And even though it's embarrassing, he does enjoy it. But that doesn't mean he isn't confused! He's also the one other then HEADSPACE KEL who she does it to the least.

- OMORI is the one who used to it the most, after all, she does that to him more often then anyone else. He usually doesn't have much of a reaction, but she thinks she can always see a hint of annoyance on his face when she messes up his hair.

- HEADSPACE AUBREY loves it! She always laughs and giggles! HEADSPACE MARI is so silly to her and she loves it! Will let her do it for as long as she wants!

- Girl talk with HEADSPACE AUBREY and HEADSPACE BASIL. Yes. That's all I have to say. These three are a wholesome trio.

- HEADSPACE MARI has her moments when she messes up and freaks because of it, but because SUNNY imagines her as perfect that hardly happens.

- Likes to keep the picnic blanket clean because she has a tendency to be a neat freak. But also because her and HEADSPACE BASIL usually have to wait there all day, she doesn't want either of them to get dirty.

- Has never gotten angry, like ever. She's just not capable of it.

- Likes to talk about the younger kids with HEADSPACE HERO. Some of them seem a little closer then others and they both notice it... They like to think that HEADSPACE AUBREY is practically drooling over poor OMORI.

- Always gives OMORI a hug when they first see each other and when they separate, it's like a good luck wish. She knows that her brother has their friends but she likes to let OMORI know that she's there in spirit too!

- Was confused when HEADSPACE BASIL disappeared... Where did he go? Is he okay? What happened to him?

- Hoped that OMORI and their friends would be able to find him...

Headspace BASIL Headcanons

(Discontinued)

A/N: Another BASIL one from my Wattpad! Once again a slight warning for ooc HEADSPACE KEL and jealous KEL/OMORI.

Warnings: None!

-  The little man in the overalls!

- Like HEADSPACE KEL he's basically the same as his REAL WORLD self with a few differences. 

- HEADSPACE BASIL focuses a lot more on the meaning of plants than REAL WORLD BASIL does, comparing them to his friends!

- His favorites are the ones that are like his friends!

- Like REAL WORLD BASIL he's very down on himself but prefers to be happy for OMORI and HEADSPACE MARI! He doesn't know why but he really wants to baby them! Though it's hard because HEADSPACE MARI is also very babying towards him and their other friends...

- When HEADSPACE MARI is giving advice to OMORI, HEADSPACE KEL, HEADSPACE AUBREY, and HEADSPACE HERO HEADSPACE BASIL likes to give advice to! Often chiming in with little things that HEADSPACE MARI may have forgot or just to give some words of encouragement to the group!

- Wishes he could do more to help them as they seem to get stuck doing a lot of puzzles, but that's not his specialty.

- Wants to go where OMORI goes!  He knows he can't all the time but he wishes he could follow him and the others around more often! But he usually gets stuck with HEADSPACE MARI at the picnic blanket.

- Because of this he had a very strong bond with HEADSPACE MARI! They're always talking about a whole bunch of things! But someone who comes up in their conversations a lot is OMORI! They both feel the need to baby him along with the other three, but find it hard since they're not around him a much as the others are.

- Fortunately for HEADSPACE BASIL he often never has to be the voice of reason because HEADSPACE MARI's always around! Everyone listens to her! 

- Though he does notice the slight attitude HEADSPACE KEL gives HEADSPACE MARI sometimes and tries to calm him down. 

- He gets very upset when HEADSPACE KEL takes OMORI with him to go and 'get lost'. OMORI shouldn't have to put up with that! Plus, what if he gets scared? He doesn't understand why OMORI goes along with it.

- Reminds HEADSPACE KEL to wash his hands... Doesn't see the issue here and is just happy because he's helping.

- HEADSPACE BASIL only plays with HEADSPACE AUBREY's hair! 

- HEADSPACE HERO's hair is too short to play with, along with OMORI's.

- HEADSPACE MARI and HEADSPACE KEL don't like it when people touch their hair so that only leaves HEADSPACE AUBREY!

- She enjoys it! And is always willing to do it back! He just needs to give her the word!

- He doesn't think OMORI or HEADSPACE KEL like it very much when he does though, OMORI seems to get over it pretty quickly but HEADSPACE KEL gets ferocious. He often pushes HEADSPACE BASIL out of the way and starts trying to do it instead, HEADSPACE AUBREY doesn't let him, demanding he apologize to HEADSPACE BASIL!

- HEADSPACE HERO usually joins in too, demanding the same thing.

- When he started to grow his plants it didn't take very long before he saw the similarities between them and his friends! He'll make sure to take extra care of those plants! He wouldn't want to hurt them or make them sad!

- Sometimes tries to learn SKILLS from the others, but isn't very good at what they do. He can usually only do OMORI's the best, everyone else he struggles with, especially HEADSPACE KEL and HEADSPACE AUBREY.

- He wonders if HEADSPACE MARI has any SKILLS.

- The reason his shoe is all decked out in plants other than he likes them is because it gets a little lonely. He wished he could go to NEIGHBOR'S ROOM with the others but he knows there isn't enough room for him in there. Plus, if he did sleep there with the others he'd probably cover that place with plants too...

- But he also feels like there's something missing from his house, like someone else is supposed to be there. But he has no idea who or why.

- He feels like he misses someone. Someone older. Family. But he has no clue who. He has a family, and it's his friends! Other than them there is no other family! So who could he be missing so much?

- HEADSPACE BASIL often gets this empty feeling inside of him and he had no idea why! He doesn't tell anyone about it but it makes him feel... Weird?

- He feels like he's forgetting something, like there's something he should be ashamed and emotional about but he doesn't know what!

- As soon as he starts getting these thoughts OMORI shows up, and it makes HEADSPACE BASIL happy when he does! When his friends are around they always distract him from these weird feelings! 

- He often hides his own weird feelings such as this one behind a smile, and laughter. Hoping that if he does so he'll feel better! It usually doesn't work...

- Like REAL WORLD BASIL HEADSPACE BASIL likes to share jokes with HEADSPACE HERO! He enjoys how he can get HEADSPACE HERO to bust out laughing at a simple joke.

- He always ends up giggling. Not because the joke was funny but because HEADSPACE HERO's laugh is contagious.

- He knows HEADPSPACE HERO can hardly catch a break having to deal with HEADSPACE AUBREY and HEADSPACE KEL, mostly HEADSPACE KEL, all day so he likes to try and do things for HEADSPACE HERO, but he doesn't usually accept the help.

- Doesn't ship HEROMARI as much as REAL WORLD BASIL does. That's just not something he cares for all too much! He prefers to mind his business but like REAL WORLD BASIL he will lead the others somewhere else to give the two a moment alone at the picnic blanket.  

- He doesn't actually care for much other than his plants and friends! He usually doesn't do anything other than play with his friends and plant stuff. He reads sometimes but that doesn't happen often.

- Bottles up his feelings. He doesn't know why he does this, he knows he shouldn't be doing it and he feels weird doing it like he's not used to doing it. He feels like he'll make OMORI upset if he tells anyone, ANYONE, about how he really feels. He doesn't know why, but he doesn't want to know why so he keeps to himself.

- Is very to himself. He doesn't like physical contact, he doesn't like to speak ill of people, he doesn't like to say no in general, especially when OMORI's around, and he feels that if he ever stops smiling he'll die or something.

- When HEADSPACE BASIL first ended up in BLACK SPACE he was so confused and scared and alone. He searched for hours, calling out to his friends, and walking around. He didn't know where he was or why it was so dark.

- When he rubbed the back of his head he noticed his flower crown was gone. Wait... Where was it?!

- He then started to search for it but had no clue where it had gone to! He was so scared! So terrified! 

- He just sat down and brought his knees up, hiding his face in them. Hoping whatever this was would go away.

- Eventually he did calm and decided to do something about the left over nerves so he started to grow watermelon.

- It didn't take very long... Time was weird here. He felt like the longer he was down wherever he was the more he faded away.

- Were his friends even looking for him? Surely they were right? They had to be... Right? They did care about him enough to look at least a little surely...

- He heard something...

- He looked over and saw... OMORI! And hey... Did he have his flower crown? It looked a little banged up, but that's alright! He was just so glad to see his friend again! He had to go over there and give him a big hug!

Headspace KEL Headcanons

A/N: More Headcanons from my Wattpad! This one does contain references to the ships SUNBURN and KELBREY so if you don't like those ships just ignore those headcanons or try to take them in friend way :)

- Very similar to REAL WORLD KEL with a few differences! 

- HEADSPACE KEL is less mature then REAL WORLD KEL was. Often acting more like a 5 year old then the 12 year old he actually is.

- He's also more mean then REAL WORLD KEL is. Not to OMORI and HEADSPACE MARI obviously as no one is allowed to be mean to them but to the other three.

- He's more full of himself and doesn't like criticism that's coming from HEADSPACE HERO, HEADSPACE AUBREY, or HEADSPACE BASIL. 

- He's the least mean to HEADSPACE BASIL, seeing him as weak and whiny and no fun to be mean to.

- Next is HEADSPACE HERO. It could be mistaken as a sibling rivalry but he is just genuinely mean to his older brother. HEADSPACE HERO does get upset at him about it but it doesn't do anything.

- The last one and the person who HEADSPACE KEL is meanest too is HEADSPACE AUBREY. This is due to the fact SUNNY has a crush on AUBREY and sees KEL as someone who could take AUBREY away from him. 

- HEADSPACE KEL feels bad being mean to HEADSPACE AUBREY though, which was weird to him as he's not used to feeling bad for people other than OMORI and HEADSPACE MARI. 

- He likes to cause problems for HEADSPACE HERO. Often getting lost on purpose in the forest so that HEADSPACE HERO will have to go look for him. Though he usually drags OMORI along with him, saying that it's funner this way.

- HEADSPACE HERO and AUBREY always end up looking for the two and once they find them HEADSPACE HERO always lectures HEADSPACE KEL about being careful where he goes and to always find him if he's going deeper into the forest then he usually does.

- This lecture is followed by HEADSPACE AUBREY lecturing him about getting lost with OMORI. Always saying "What if OMORI had gotten hurt? Then what would you have done? Or what if you got hurt?! You gotta think KEL!"

- Always ends up clinging to HEADSPACE HERO after, pretending he's scared or frightened about getting lost just to make it seem like he didn't do it on purpose to give his brother a heart attack. OMORI doesn't say anything to HEADSPACE AUBREY or HERO about HEADSPACE KEL faking it. Only tells HEADSPACE MARI.

- HEADSPACE MARI always lectures him about it, but promises to not tell HEADSPACE HERO or AUBREY so he doesn't get into any more trouble. She also finds it kinda funny but would never say that outloud. 

- He finds NEIGHBOR'S ROOM so boring! He likes being everywhere other than the NEIGHBOR'S ROOM! There's hardly anything to do there! Sure he can play cards and what not but he wants to do other things too! 

- Doesn't understand why they can't leave without OMORI but doesn't question it, because as soon as he starts thinking about it he feels like he's doing something bad and not the fun type of bad. 

- Always peaks into WHITE SPACE to see if OMORI's up and ready to go, but usually can't see much, never wants to go in there. Seems way too dull for him in there. He doesn't get how OMORI can stand it.

- Has seen a SOMETHING before. Didn't understand what it was. But he was scared of it. What even was it? It was just so much to comprehend. 

- He clung to HEADSPACE HERO, afraid. HEADSPACE HERO asked him what was wrong but he didn't answer. HEADSPACE HERO helped him through his fear though, calming him down. Still didn't tell him what he saw though...

- HEADSPACE KEL was surprised to learn that there were other locations in HEADSPACE they had never been to before! He thought there was only NEIGHBOR'S ROOM and the VAST FOREST, and BASIL'S HOUSE if you wanted to count that separately from VAST FOREST.

- HEADSPACE KEL wanted to explore but with no reason to the group didn't, instead staying in VAST FOREST where they played. Much to HEADSPACE KEL's dismay.

- Likes it when they all go over to BASIL'S HOUSE! It's the one time MARI's willing to leave the picnic blanket and it's just nice going somewhere new!

- Blacks out sometimes and wakes up in NEIGHBOR'S ROOM with HEADSPACE HERO and HEADSPACE AUBREY. The two are often worried because OMORI's gone and they don't know where. But HEADSPACE KEL's annoyed because usually he was doing something with them before and now he can't remember!

- He has a tendency to get jealous of OMORI and HEADSPACE AUBREY's "relationship". Fortunately for him OMORI doesn't seem to have the same feelings towards HEADSPACE AUBREY that she has for him. 

- Likes to bug HEADSPACE AUBREY about it, but really it's because he's jealous. OMORI doesn't seem to like this jealousy though. Often crossing his arms and pouting whenever HEADSPACE KEL shows any interest in HEADSPACE AUBREY that doesn't revolve around him being mean to her or teasing her.

- Like REAL WORLD KEL always asks what plants are what. Asking (more like demanding) for their names. 

- HEADSPACE BASIL happily gives them to HEADSPACE KEL, he'll still get them wrong.

- Also like REAL WORLD KEL he tends to get hurt, but luckily for him HEADSPACE HERO knows COOK. So unlike REAL WORLD KEL there's no scabs or anything to pick at because HEADSPACE HERO's already healed him.

- Likes that he's in HEADSPACE BASIL's photo album! Only really looks at the pictures of himself and HEADSPACE AUBREY. Usually makes fun of her though.

- Was confused about what happened when HEADSPACE BASIL noticed a picture that fell out of the photo album that wasn't supposed to be there. Was going to look before he blacked out.

- When he woke up in NEIGHBOR'S ROOM he didn't think anything that different had happened this time around until he realized it was taking OMORI longer than normal to leave WHITE SPACE.

- He looked into WHITE SPACE but no sign of OMORI.

- HEADSPACE KEL even started to worry himself when OMORI wouldn't show up, and when he did he felt relief he had never felt before.

- Was worried when HEADSPACE BASIL had gone missing next, and was surprised to see that he wasn't home. He usually wasn't the nice type, but he did genuinely miss HEADSPACE BASIL.

- They would find him! He was sure of that! He just had to be patient... He had to stay strong for them! 

- Wait? Who's BASIL again?

After MARI's Death AUBREY Headcanons

(Discontinued)

A/N: Yet another one from my Wattpad! I had a lot of fun with this one! It's very fun to write for AUBREY! I hope you enjoy!

Warnings: Mental breakdowns, bullying, abuse, mentions of death, other stuff that might bother you!

Word Count: 2.4k

- Ohh! I'm gonna have fun with this one!

- AUBREY was completely taken off guard by MARI's passing, and she was immediately filled with grief.

- It wasn't as bad as what HERO went through but it was still pretty bad. 

- AUBREY had always been close to MARI, she was the only other girl in the group after all. MARI always seemed to know what to do to make AUBREY feel better, she was always there for AUBREY and now she was just gone. Like she never existed.

- It was heartbreaking for the poor girl to think that MARI had taken her own life. MARI had given AUBREY comfort when she needed it but MARI was the one who needed comfort. And AUBREY was too dumb to notice!

- She went through a period of self hatred only about a week or two after MARI had passed. Not only was MARI gone but all her other friends as well. SUNNY stopped showing up to school, along with BASIL.

- She hadn't seen HERO outside at all, and from what she heard he wasn't doing the greatest which she could believe. And she had no clue where KEL was. She was all alone.

- The situation back at her house didn't help. She loved to hangout with her friends because it gave her an excuse to leave her house, the place where her parents were always yelling and screaming at each other. 

- But now she had no reason to leave the house and she just wanted to lay in bed all day, not having the motivation to move or go anywhere. Which forced her to hear the two argue.

- AUBREY's mom didn't really care about MARI's death, telling AUBREY that she would get over it and pull through. AUBREY's dad didn't really care either, but he was a bit more supportive. Trying to give her comforting words and hugs..

- So she only had her dad, and then he left. One day she just woke up and he was gone. Nowhere to be seen. She wanted to ask her mom but she was a mess. Drinking, crying, sobbing, mess. AUBREY could not stay there, she knew that.

- So she left, and headed to the only place she could think of at the time. MARI's grave. Going there she talked to it as if it were MARI, as if MARI could hear her. She prayed that MARI could. She vented for hours to it, just sitting there on the grass. 

- This started something. AUBREY would continue to show up and talk to MARI's grave for years, informing her about what had happened, venting, asking how she was, so on. 

- AUBREY's mom's condition only seemed to get worse, she became more cold then she already was and now she was drunk almost 24/7. AUBREY tried to be there for her, just like MARI was there for AUBREY. But the only thing she got in response was her mom tugging at her hair, pulling her over the ladder that led to the attic which was AUBREY's room. 

- She screamed at AUBREY to go away, to never leave that room again, that she was a failure, nothing. That it was her fault that her father left, that MARI was gone. That her friends would never ever want to talk to her again.

- AUBREY had never been so scared of her mom, she was so scared in fact that she was trembling, she tried to climb up, to escape her mom's words. But since she was shaking she slipped and fell, hitting the back of her head on the floor. 

- Her mom just laughed, calling AUBREY a clutz, saying that she would never achieve anything in life if this was all she was gonna do. If all she was gonna do was fall. 

- AUBREY was crying, everything had been taken away from her just like that. Her friends, her dad, her mom. She scrambled back up the ladder as her mom scolded her for crying, but AUBREY wasn't listening, she just wanted to hide away forever, never ever leave attic again.

- She stayed there the next few days, feeling absolutely nothing. She didn't feel hungry, or like she needed to use the bathroom, or that she was bored, she was completely empty.

- Eventually she forced herself out, to eat and use the bathroom even though she didn't feel like she needed to, to check on her mom. But her mom was completely passed out on the couch. What else did she expect?

- She also noticed a box near the front door, confused she went over and opened the box. Inside she found a whole bunch of MARI's clothes, and there was a note on top.

- The note stated that all the clothes were for AUBREY since SUNNY's mom didn't know what else to do with them.

- She started to head to school more frequently with her new set of clothes, trying to not miss so much. She needed to be smart! But it was lonely without her friends.

- One day, after being insulted by her mom she would cry in the bathroom at school, but was caught off guard by another girl asking what was wrong. The girl's name was KIM. AUBREY had seen her before and had even heard about her, she was a complete troublemaker. No good.

- AUBREY ended up being comforted by KIM, who said that if she ever needed someone to hang with she could hang with her.

- But the next day much to AUBREY's surprise BASIL showed up! Her best friend! He was back!

- She gave him a big ol' hug! Asking him where he had been! She missed him a lot and she was so happy to see him back!

- Something seemed off about him but AUBREY just chalked it up to not being over MARI's death. AUBREY wasn't either if she was being quite honest.

- BASIL still stuck around though! He listened to AUBREY talk almost all day, trying to catch him up with all the things he missed, and even trying to hear about what had happened in his life! He wasn't much for conversation though, he was very quiet. 

- AUBREY knew that BASIL had always been very quiet but she didn't expect him to be this quiet!

- AUBREY invited BASIL to come with her and see if SUNNY was willing to come out for once, and she noticed BASIL's hesitance. It took a little convincing but eventually he agreed. 

- As they walked AUBREY was telling him all about how excited she was for high school! How she'd be the coolest kid there. Finally earning a little giggle from her long time friend. She tried to make more jokes as she could tell he was nervous. She was hoping that the terrible jokes would take his mind off things, but jokes were usually something she left up to KEL.

- AUBREY asked BASIL if he had seen KEL around and he said no, but he was confused on why KEL hadn't come to bother AUBREY. AUBREY shrugged.

- When they arrived at SUNNY's house AUBREY knocked but nobody answered, so she knocked again and the same thing, so she did it once more and still no answer. AUBREY was very disappointed. She was hoping since one of her friends came out the others would too, but apparently not. 

- She also noticed that BASIL seemed a little disappointed as well, but AUBREY quickly tried to make things better by offering to go to the park. BASIL agreed.

- As they sat at the park AUBREY tried to think for something to do, BASIL was to, or that's what he said but it looked like he was off somewhere else in his head. Eventually AUBREY came up with the idea to study at BASIL's house!

- Not only would it allow her to avoid home but she could finally go back to BASIL's house! She found his house very pretty, and since she hadn't been there in awhile she wanted to see if it still was.

- BASIL hesitated again, but once again fell victim to begging. Agreeing that they should study and his place.

- They studied in BASIL's living room, his grandma wasn't home, apparently she was out shopping. But BASIL was just so out of it. He didn't really seem to be able to focus all that well so AUBREY suggested they took a break, which BASIL happily agreed to.

- They headed to BASIL's room to relax and AUBREY spotted his photo album. She asked BASIL if they could look through it and he said that he guessed they could.

- It was emotional for AUBREY to see the memories she once shared with her friends, when they were all happy, when she was happy, when BASIL wasn't so quiet and nervous, when SUNNY was around, when HERO was around, when KEL was around.

- BASIL must've noticed this change in mood and shooed her away from the album, suggesting she take a moment to breathe. He didn't look at her when he said this, only staring at the photo album. AUBREY agreed and left the room.

- She went into the kitchen to see if they had any food, she hardly got to eat anything most days so she hoped she could nab something. She was sure BASIL nor his grandma would mind.

- When she reached in to grab what she thought was appetising she heard sobbing come from BASIL's room. She decided that she could eat later and went to check on BASIL.

- When she opened the door she saw him still on the floor, with a marker in hand. He had scribbled all over the pictures, covering everyone's faces including MARI's. 

- In a panic she yanked the album out of his hands and ran to the bathroom, trying to wash off the marker , while trying to be careful not to ruin the photos anymore then BASIL had already tried to ruin them. 

- AUBREY scrubbed desperately to get the marker off and fortunately it did start to come off the photos without damaging them. She sighed, tears pricking in the corners of her eyes. She could've lost the only pictures of MARI and all of her other friends just like that, she already lost so much, she didn't want to lose that to.

- She heard someone shuffling into the room behind her as she tried to get the rest of the marker off the photos. She already knew who it was and she felt hot anger enter her, never had she ever felt this angry before. Never.

- BASIL tried to offer an apology for his outburst but AUBREY couldn't accept that. How DARE he think he can just try and damage the only thing left of MARI's memory and then apologize. He's crazy! 

- So she yelled, she had never yelled like that before but she yelled and screamed at him. She cried and insulted him, and even felt a strong urge to punch him, but she didn't.

- She couldn't take it anymore. He wasn't the BASIL she knew anymore, he was some crazy asshole who had taken the place of BASIL.

- She dropped the album onto the ground and ran away, she wanted nothing to do with him anymore, nothing!

- As she ran she felt anger, just pure anger leak out of her. She had never been so angry, but she had a right to be angry! She did! She knew she did!

- But what she saw next was only an insult to injury. It was KEL, but he was happy, really fucking happy. He was talking and messing around with some of his friends, his new friends. 

- AUBREY couldn't believe this, not only was he happy even though MARI was gone, he had moved on, and made new friends. He had replaced them. 

- Angry tears just kept pouring out of her, she couldn't deal with him right now, not in this state, so she ran before he could see her. Running all the way back to her happy place, back to MARI's grave.

- When she got there she just collapsed onto the ground, a sobbing, crying mess. She begged for MARI to come back, to tell her what to do, to hug her and tell her everything was going to be okay. That she was going to be okay. But she didn't, because she was gone.

- There was nothing AUBREY could do other than cry, what else was she supposed to do?

- AUBREY heard shuffling and looked up, trying to figure out who, or what had made the noise. KIM was there, just staring at AUBREY.

- This was when AUBREY started to stick around with KIM, KIM was the only one AUBREY even wanted to be around at this point.

- There wasn't a thing AUBREY did without KIM at this point, they started to do everything together! They went on walks, they studied, they played games, they stole, that sort of stuff.

- KIM was the one who dyed AUBREY's hair for her after AUBREY brought up wanting pink hair when she was younger, even stating that she still wanted it dyed.

- KIM eventually ended up introducing AUBREY to The Hooligans, she clicked with them almost right away.

- But they way they acted started to have an influence on AUBREY, making her act similar to them. She became mean, and intolerable, and immature. But still was one of the maturest of the group. 

- She got close with them, telling them about her old friends, SUNNY, HERO, KEL, and BASIL. They started to joke around about KEL and BASIL. The group already not liking those two for one reason or another.

- AUBREY hardly interacted with KEL only passing by him sometimes. But he seemed... Disappointed at her.

- The group of course made fun of KEL when they passed by him, often annoying him, but he stood his ground. He'd get back at them, not at AUBREY directly, but all of them.

- They did the same with BASIL, having rude comments already ready for when they passed by. But they took it a step further with him. Unlike KEL he wouldn't fight back, so they bullied him. Finding his reactions funny. Even AUBREY.

- Though she also brought the group to MARI's grave, introducing them to her. It was probably one of the only times they were respectful of something or someone. They all left flowers that may or may not have been ripped out of planters outside of BASIL's house for MARI.

- KIM ended up staying with AUBREY at MARI's grave a little longer. Reassuring her that MARI would be proud of her. 

- "Do you think she woulda' liked us?"

- "Yeah KIM, I think... I think she would've loved you guys."

After MARI's Death SUNNY Headcanons

A/N: Another headcanon thing from my Wattpad! My friend had been really looking forward to these so I gotta keep em coming! I don't really know how I feel about this one but I hope you like it!

- Let's go trauma club! :D

- SUNNY after MARI's passing was in shock about all that had just happened, he didn't know what to think or what to feel. But it didn't really matter since he blocked out all feelings anyway. 

- He remembers that BASIL had tried to tell him that everything was okay but he wasn't sure he could actually believe that.

- He wanted to believe it, he really did, but it just didn't seem right, he didn't feel like everything was going to be okay.

- SUNNY was really out of it, he almost stopped responding to people completely, sometimes the people who tried to speak with him often didn't even think he could hear them.

- Sometimes SUNNY didn't even think he could hear them, though he did, he just never knew what to say back. Was he supposed to say something back?

- He was awake a lot more than he would later be around the first week after. During this time headspace was starting to form and become a thing in his mind.

- He stayed in his room lots but would sometimes leave, though he never looked at the stairs, nor did he walk down them. He instead only really went into the bathroom. 

- SUNNY decided to look out the window that was next to the bathroom one day, despite the gut feeling he shouldn't and saw his dad chopping down the tree he and BASIL...

- His dad had even looked up at SUNNY, but the look his dad had on his face said anything but friendly. He looked like he was about to kill SUNNY. So SUNNY naturally got scared and ran back to his room. Hoping his dad hadn't actually noticed him.

- He tried to avoid his dad for the rest of the time he was there, and he wasn't very surprised to hear that his dad had left. Of course he felt a little bad hearing his mom break down into tears but he couldn't comfort her, he didn't want to get close to the stairs, let alone go down them.

-  He returned to his room, and just laid on his bed, staring at his ceiling, guilt slowly creeping into his mind. His dad wouldn't have left if MARI was still alive, his mom would've been okay. But now nothing was okay and it was all his fault.

- SUNNY found himself sleeping more everyday after that, but the sleep was nice, he enjoyed his dreams, they were a lot better than the real world.   

- One day his mother walked into his room to check up on him since it was around noon and he had yet to leave his room. When she walked in however he was still asleep, she decided it would be better to just let him rest, she knew he was tired. They all were

- This continues everyday, but she lets him sleep, because at night she heard him moving around in his room, so she knew he woke up eventually, that's all that mattered right?

- What he did in his room at night his mom had no clue and SUNNY couldn't even remember. Every time he woke up he was still mostly asleep, so when he did things it was his body moving on autopilot.

- SUNNY would go down the stairs, which was never something he'd do, but since he was basically not awake he did. He'd grab food that was in the fridge, eat it, and put the dish into the sink all without really waking up.

- He did this every single night so his mother stopped worrying after a little while. He was still eating, still using the bathroom, and still sleeping. Though she did notice that he started to smell after some time of doing this. But she couldn't really get anything out of him, so she knew that asking him to take a bath wouldn't have done anything since he would've just ignored her.

- His mom would leave the house more and more and he wouldn't even notice, too busy dreaming away. 

- It got to a point where she would leave for nights, so! She started to leave little sticky notes around for SUNNY so he'd remember to take care of himself. Of course she was unsure if he even read them but she hoped he did! At least sometimes.

- SUNNY didn't though, way too busy in his dream world to care about everything and anything else. Not like he was able to read anyway, not when he was basically sleep walking.

- There was one night, where he was a little more awake than usual. He remembers looking over at his computer and seeing the phone close to it. The red little light was blinking, what a weird little light he thought. But after re-adjusting and looking at the roof, another thought crossed his mind, where was he?

- This wasn't white space, nor was it neighbors room, or the playground. Those were the only places he knew, he didn't know this one. Why weren't his friends here? Where's MEWO? Where's MARI? He sat up, letting his legs hang off the bed, he felt so weak, a lot weaker than he normally felt. 

- He felt scared, and so alone. Where was MARI? He wanted MARI. But as soon as that thought of MARI being missing crossed his mind, he looked up and noticed SOMETHING. He didn't know what it was, or why it looked so familiar, but it was SOMETHING.

- It was just looked at him with that one big eye, like it wanted him to do something. But he didn't know what it wanted. What could he possibly do for that thing?! Why was he so scared of it? There was something off about it but he didn't know what!

- But it started to move closer, scaring SUNNY?. He was quick to hide underneath his blanket, seeing as it didn't have any hands he prayed that it wouldn't be able to lift up the blanket somehow. And it didn't. 

- He was worried that it would hurt him and yet, he felt as though it had already hurt him, but he couldn't remember when or how or even why. But he stayed hidden, seeing its shadow through his blanket. 

- SUNNY? was quick to fall right back asleep, and going back into his trance like state. Repeating the cycle all over again, the only difference was that now sometimes that thing, that SOMETHING would appear in his dreams and scare his friends. It didn't scare OMORI though, he wasn't scared of it at all, even if SUNNY was.

- Little did OMORI and SUNNY know that he'd be waking up again in just a couple of years, and that SUNNY would have to confront that thing, that SOMETHING.

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

A/N: Angst, sweet, sweet, angst. How fun. Basically don't read this one if you don't like kinda sad stuff.

Pairing: KEL x Gn! Reader

Warnings: None!

Genre: Angst

Summary: You go to a party because you hear that a good friend of yours is going to be there, you find out something you really didn't want to find out. At least you're taking it well?

Word Count: 2.4k

Rain poured down, the cool night air brushing against your skin violently. You weren’t in much, at least, not enough for the current weather. Hell, you weren’t even wearing shoes, you were in soggy socks. You hadn’t been bothered to prepare yourself, you just needed to get out of the house. So you did, not caring about how you shivered in the cold. 

There had been a graduation party at your friend's house, you weren’t going to go, not until you heard that one of your best friends, Kel, was going to be there. Parties were always fun when Kel was there, though he usually didn’t get to go because his parents didn’t let him. But for once they made an exception and let him join a party, you were positive he was probably begging them to let him go and they eventually agreed or that he had simply snuck out. Kel was definitely your typical high school student, always wanting to party and go out with his friends at every given moment, it doesn’t help that he’s so popular. He’s good at sports, gets along with people easily, he’s loyal to his friends, and he’s brothers with Hero who is known by everyone, their parents, and even grandparents. Kel comes from a definitely more well off family as well, in conclusion he’s a fun guy to be around and he’s definitely well known around Faraway Town. So when you heard he was going, how could you not?

When you got there you immediately noticed the rowdy man, causing problems as per usual. He was being obnoxiously loud and bugging basically everyone that was in his sight, though it didn’t seem like they minded all too much. That was the thing about Kel, sure he was annoying but his positive attitude and just how fun he was made up for it, and you’re pretty sure that everyone agreed with that. It did look like there were some people who were starting to get just slightly fed up with Kel, such as the delinquent Aubrey and her ‘gang’. But they just seemed to mind their own business, letting Kel have his fun. 

It didn’t take long before he noticed you, giving you the biggest smile you had ever seen in your life. He ran over, without a second thought, quickly engulfing you in a big hug, he once again surprises you with his strength like he always does by lifting you off the ground, but he only lifts you off the ground slightly, not wanting to cause you panic from the sudden action. Your face goes just a little red, he seemed to be in a good mood, but then again when was he not? You attempted to return the sweet gesture by wrapping your arms around him but it was a little hard, he was squeezing the life out of you making it damn near impossible to move at all, you weren’t even sure how you were breathing at the moment. He eventually put you down but kept his hug a little longer before letting go of you much to your dismay. 

“Y/N! I didn’t know you were gonna be here! Wowie, that’s so exciting! Why didn’t ya’ tell me?” He tilted his head to the side, almost like a dog would when confused, it was cute. You were told he tried to act like his dog Hector when he was younger, so maybe some of those learned traits never went away.

“Well I wasn’t sure if I would actually show up, but I did! That’s all that matters right?” You decided to mimic the action, tilting your head to the side as well. You giggled slightly when Kel gave you a lost look, not exactly understanding why you did that. He didn’t even seem to realise that he had been doing that as well and was still currently doing it. Your giggling didn’t help as it only made him even more lost. But he enjoyed hearing you giggle, so he played along, laughing as if he understood what you were giggling at. He knew it was something he had done and that’s all he really needed to know. Even though his laugh started as a fake, confused one, eventually it turned real. He lightly punched your shoulder once he finally started to calm down. 

“Heh! Yeah! I guess so huh? That’s pretty rad though! Actually hey, I had an idea and you seem like you’d have great input!” He beamed. He was clearly looking forward to your answer.

“Oh yeah? Well hit me with it!”

“Okay, so, clearly all the ladies and even some of the men here want to see more of me right?” He put his hand on his chest in a dramatic overly confident way. You snort but decide to play along with him and his already stupid sounding idea. 

“Oooooh yeah, trust me I know. Personally, I would love to see more of Kelsey.” You swear you could see his face go slightly pink for a moment and his expression drop into a more shy look, which is a look that he had never had on his face before. But you must’ve been seeing things because his expression went back to normal immediately. Kel gives you a smile full of pride.

“See! The people want me! So my idea is that I can let them hear my lovely singing voice!” His movements are exaggerated and even still it’s hard for you to tell whether he’s joking or not. Either way you know you shouldn’t encourage it.

“Kel, listen, I would never encourage you to give up on something that’s special to you and that you’re passionate about, but come on, even you know better. I think everyone here likes to hear you talk but if I’m being honest your singing voice is not as nice as your normal talking voice, everyone here would fall to the floor dead if you started to sing.” Kel faked a pout, crossing his arms looking down to the floor, slowly shaking his head. You chuckle and put a hand on his shoulder, just barely able to do so. You seem like a parent who just had a serious talk with their kid and is now trying to comfort them afterwards. “I’m not telling you this because I want to be mean, I’m telling you this so that you don’t embarrass yourself.”

“So you say.” Kel scoffs out, giving you an exaggerated suspicious look. You fake a sad look.

“Also me and your father… We’ve had our run Kel. I’m sorry but we’re-”

“No need to tell me I already know.” He copies your expression, but the dramatic lore you two had just come up with was interrupted by someone calling out to Kel, asking him to go over to them for a moment. Kel gives you a smile, patting you on the shoulder. “Seems like I’m needed, thanks for your advice Y/N! Even if you’re wrong. Catch you later!” You scoff at his comment but watch as he runs off to meet with whoever called him.

Most of the night was great! Even though parties were sometimes awkward it wasn’t this time, because Kel was there. Even though he was with his other, closer friends most of the night you still bumped into him from time to time. He’d give a smile or continue the previous conversation you had by asking questions like “Will you and dad still talk?” or “Do I still get to see dad sometimes?” You’d give him a short response and go your separate ways once more but would inevitably bump into each other again. The night seemed to be going well. Or it was going well, but then you saw Kel, he was talking to someone which wasn’t unusual, he talked to everyone. But this time it was different, no one could miss the way he blushed, or the shy look he gave them. The same one he gave you earlier, which also confirmed that it was a look he had given you, but this time it was consistently on his face. Of course you didn’t want to believe he had feelings for someone that wasn’t you but after the conversation had finished between him and that person you overheard him talking to his friends. They were teasing him about liking that person, he tried to shoo them off, and told them to shut up, even attempting to lightly hit them which only earned laughs from his friends.

The rest of the time you spent in that party was painful, Kel had tried to joke around with you some more when he passed you, just as you two had done before, you did your best to respond and Kel being Kel didn’t even notice that you seemed upset. He took the response you gave him and happily went off somewhere else while you stood there, completely still and silent. It wasn’t until Kel got up onto a table and got everyone to look at him and stop the music did you hope that the night would get better. But it only got much worse. 

He started to sing, which you had recommended he didn’t do but it seemed like he didn’t really care all that much about what you said. You didn’t really mind, you got a good laugh out of it at first along with everyone else, but suddenly, just as the night seemed to start getting better the lyrics registered in your head, it was a love song and as he continued to sing he dramatically held out his hand to that person he had been talking to before, he looked like he was trying to poke fun at movies for doing the same thing but with the evidence that suggested he had a crush on that person you knew it was also his way of trying to give them a hint. You stood there unmoving once again, the feeling of tears welling up in your eyes, you were quick to wipe them away though. You didn’t want to be there anymore, you needed to get out of there before someone noticed you were upset, and so you left, and nobody noticed, all too focused on Kel’s act.

This led to now, you were running in the rain, in soggy socks because you had left your shoes and everything else that you used to keep you warm at the house, you’d have to get it tomorrow. Tears were beginning to form and fall but you couldn’t really tell since they were mixed with the rain. You didn’t even know where you were running, you knew you had some idea in your head as you were clearly going somewhere but you didn’t know where specifically, but you trusted yourself enough to know that it wasn’t someplace you would regret going. Soon enough you found yourself outside your house, your body had brought you home. 

You were quick to go inside and head to your bedroom, avoiding anyone who might notice that you were upset and in soggy socks. You sat on the floor, too unmotivated to move from the spot and too busy trying to calm yourself down. It wasn’t that big of a deal, at least it shouldn’t have been, so why was it? Sure you had a little crush but why was it now feeling like a breakup? It wasn’t that! You had liked Kel a lot more than you thought you did. You weren’t mad, that was a good thing, not at Kel, not at that other person, not at yourself. Not anyone, and at least the warmth of your home was bringing you some comfort, it was definitely better than outside.

After a moment of sitting there, calming yourself down enough to function, you decided to take a much needed bath and head to bed early. You couldn’t be bothered to stay awake, not while knowing that you could get riled up again. But as you were preparing to head off to bed you noticed a flower, one that you had picked from the ground earlier that day, and decided to give yourself one last chance with Kel and it all depended on this flower. You sat down on the floor once more with the flower in hand and pulled a petal off.

He loves me

You pulled another off.

He loves me not

And again.

He loves me

Why were you trying so hard?

He loves me not

It wasn’t that big of a deal.

He loves me

He was happy.

He loves me not

That’s all that mattered wasn’t it.

You pause, taking one deep breath before opening your eyes, you sigh. You had done this in one last ditch effort to convince yourself that maybe you still had a chance with Kel but it seems that the world was just going to give it to you straight out, no games. There was still one last petal, and that only meant one thing. Though you don’t want to, you grab it and without thinking very quickly pluck it off.

“He loves me not.” You stare at the petals all over your floor. You supposed that this was just an extra confirmation that Kel was not interested. That’s just how it was, there’s not much you can do about that. It still upsets you because you had only just found out that Kel had liked someone else, but knowing that Kel would be happy and be with who he wants to be with is enough to give you the motivation to stand up and head to bed. One day you would find someone who loves you, you’d just have to wait until you find them, even if they’re not Kel. Surely this just meant that someone else was interested right? You were sure of it. So trying to not think too much about the awkward conversations that will happen tomorrow, you slowly drift off into sleep, praying that anyone, especially Kel, wouldn’t question why you had suddenly disappeared from the party.

After MARI's Death HERO Headcanons

- I wanna give this man a hug, he deserves it :(

- HERO immediately falls into a depression after MARI's death, to the point where he basically can't function.

- He can't get up out of bed, he can't talk, he can't eat, he can't sleep, he can't even listen properly. Everything's just messed up.

- The only time HERO decides to stand up is when he has to use the bathroom, but even then that doesn't happen very often because he hardly drinks anything. 

- HERO feels as though life's moving too fast, he blinks and then it's already the next day, at least that's what it feels like. 

- Or sometimes days were really slow, there was no in between it's always too slow or too fast. 

- It's important to keep in mind that he's quite miserable about everything, he dislikes everything that isn't sleep and even then he doesn't like sleep because he doesn't want to wake up. 

- Every time he wakes up after he's managed to fall asleep he's always a little disappointed that he's woken up, and that he'll have to deal with another day of his family nagging him...

- The only thing he consistently likes are the stories KEL tells him about his day, he knows that he doesn't really respond but he still likes to listen, especially if he's asleep, it adds to his dreams!

- HERO hates and appreciates what KEL does for him such as bringing him food when he needs it. It means something that KEL's going through the effort to do that but at the same time he just wishes KEL would leave him alone.

- Not because he dislikes KEL but because he feels guilty about not being able to do anything in return. He just doesn't have the energy. This guilt only adds on to his overwhelming guilt and HERO doesn't like it. 

- He's usually woken up by his mom who tries to get him to get up out of bed but HERO always ignores her, he's not in the mood.

- The only time HERO had left his room to not use the bathroom was once where he went into the kitchen to grab a drink.

- He regrets that day as he had made the mistake of looking out the window and seeing his brother having a panic attack in the backyard. HERO couldn't even process what was going on, why did KEL look so scared? Was he okay? HERO hadn't felt like that in a long time. He was going to go out and check on his brother when his mom came into the kitchen and made this big deal about finally seeing HERO out of bed.

- She ended up dragging him off to the living room to show his dad, who was also happy to see him up. They tried to talk to HERO but his mind kept drifting back to KEL and how he looked when he was in the backyard.

- Once they allowed HERO to go he looked out the window again but when he looked he saw KEL with his arms wrapped around HECTOR. KEL looked so empty... He looked just like HERO about an hour ago. But KEL ended up looking up and noticed HERO. A huge smile made its way onto KEL's face, though it was wobbly, like it wasn't real...

- HERO felt guilty about this afterward, he knew KEL had changed, and not in a good way. This only sent HERO further into his depression because he ended up wondering if KEL would end up like MARI. The sudden thought of MARI and losing his brother causing him to fall right back into the hole he was in, and losing any progress that he had made. 

- He also feels guilty about what had happened to MARI as he thinks it should've been his job to protect her from her thoughts. After all, that was the bare minimum, he should've been there for her, he should've! Why was he so worthless?!  

- Is what he was feeling right now what she went through? Was he really that much of a bad boyfriend that he let her go through that alone? How had he not noticed? God he was really not good at anything was he? 

- HERO's considered su*c*de before, after all why wouldn't he want to be with MARI? Without her really what is he? She was all that was good about him right? She brought out the best in him and now that she's gone all that's left is every bad thing about him. 

- He's never tried to though, he's too scared, what if he doesn't end up with MARI? Wouldn't that be even worse? Then he'll be completely alone, he doesn't want to be alone. But then again... Could anything really be any worse than this?

- One night HERO had been lying in bed, he was in a really bad depressive state that day, and even though he was everyday it just so happened to be worse that day. He had his hands on his face, covering most of it. He was so tired, so stressed, so alone. He didn't know what to do. 

- KEL opened the door and walked into the room, he had just come back home after a long day of playing basketball with his friends. He flicked on the lights, causing HERO to groan quietly. Luckily his hands were covering his face so the light hadn't bothered his eyes at all.

- HERO was quick to turn over, hiding his face into his mattress. KEL noticed but didn't question it, HERO didn't like light very much, usually because of his lack of sleep. The light always bothered his eyes.

- KEL greeted HERO but as usual wasn't met with a response. KEL got ready for bed, turning off the lights once he was done but he just sat on his bed, looking over at HERO who was huddled in his blankets. KEL was sure if MARI was here she would've found it cute.

- He was caught off guard when HERO started to mumble to himself, he couldn't understand what he was mumbling about because of the distance between them and the fact that HERO was hiding his face. 

- KEL decided to walk over, so he could try and get his brother to relax a little, as HERO's mumbling would've kept him up and he knows it.

- "So... You're up late." KEL started, but HERO could only huff in response, it was muffled thanks to him hiding his face.

- KEL chuckled and proceeded to tell HERO that "if MARI were here she'd say you're cute and then laugh at you for being a dork!"

- He didn't mean anything by it, he thought he was allowed to say something like that, but it turns out HERO wasn't in the mood, like usual but this time it was different. At the mention of MARI KEL noticed his brother tense. 

- He was about to ask what was wrong but then he heard a slight sniffle, making it impossible for him to talk to HERO. 

- HERO was quick to roll over, revealing that KEL's comment had brought him to tears, not because it was mean but because he had been missing MARI an awful lot that day. 

- KEL was quick to apologize, saying that he didn't think that would upset HERO.

- "Of course you wouldn't think that..."

- "Did you say something bro?"

- "Yeah, actually. I said of course you wouldn't think that, you never think things through, you just speak without thinking... That's what makes you annoying KEL, you just think you can say anything you want and get away with it, but you're wrong! You can't just say what you want all the time and not expect any consequences from it!"

- "I'm sorry dude... I er- I just thought I was joking around I didn't think it would annoy you... Or that I was annoying you..."

- "OF COURSE YOU DON'T THINK! THAT'S WHAT I JUST SAID KEL!"

- HERO proceeded to stand up and continued to yell at his brother. KEL fell quiet while HERO did so, having no clue of how to respond. He had never seen HERO so mad before.

- It was when HERO brought up MARI did KEL finally speak. HERO was talking about how he didn't want to even hear the name MARI, that every time he heard it his heart clenched and he just felt so... Empty. 

- KEL tried to reassure his brother that everything would be okay but HERO interrupted stating that nothing was okay or was ever going to be okay, that with MARI gone he was nothing and would never be anything. That everything that had happened was his fault.

- Of course KEL tried to tell him that none of that was true! He couldn't let HERO believe that any of that was true! But of course HERO didn't want to listen. 

- He proceeded to yell at KEL for what felt like forever. Claiming that KEL didn't get it and that he couldn't know how he felt because KEL didn't love her as much as he did. 

- The more KEL tried to deny what HERO was saying the angerier HERO got. It got so bad that HERO even punched his brother in the arm, causing KEL to stumble back and trip over himself. 

- HERO just stood there, unmoving. He stared at KEL. KEL looked up at HERO shocked, he was gripping his arm as it hurt, and he could feel tears forming in his eyes.

- When HERO realised that he had hurt his brother and had even made him cry he fell to the floor himself, just sobbing.

- Their parents ran in and immediately went over to HERO, trying to comfort him in any way they could but HERO couldn't focus on them, the only person he could think about at the moment was KEL.

- HERO was quick to finally take on his big brother role once again and ran over to KEL, embracing him. He had never hugged his brother so tightly before. There was no way for KEL to escape. 

- And even though KEL wanted to cry he didn't he just made fun of HERO.

- To anybody it would've looked like HERO finally got over MARI that night but in reality he didn't. He was still depressed about it, but he needed to make it up to KEL. KEL deserved a better brother. So he would hide his negative emotions, putting on this smile every time he was around someone. 

- HERO was very awkward around people, he didn't really know what kids his age talked about as he had isolated himself for some time. When he did try to interact with people they often found him weird as he never knew what to say.

- He also helped out A LOT. Going shopping, walking the dog, helping KEL with homework, cleaning the house, raking leaves in the backyard, you name it he's probably doing it. Everything except cooking and baking. He can't bring himself to do either, it reminds him too much of MARI.

- HERO also decided that instead of being a baker like MARI encouraged him to be he'd be a doctor like his mom wanted him to be.

- He knew that his brother didn't like the idea but this was just what HERO wanted to do now. He felt that since he couldn't help MARI he'd help somebody else and make it so no one else ended up like him to the best of his abilities!

- This is why he wants to be a psychiatrist! His mom never said what type of doctor hehehe >:)

- He was a little nervous when he was about to head off to college but he knows that his family will always be here if he needs them!

- Definitely gets a lot of letters from KEL informing him of everything that's happening in Faraway Town. 

- He can't wait to go home!

- My mental breakdowns calling, give me a minute.

- BASIL hid away from everybody after MARI was found. He couldn't handle being around anyone associated with MARI or even SUNNY for that matter. He just couldn't.

- He hardly even left his room, he just stared out the window, trying to make sense of what had happened and what he did.

- He couldn't sleep, he was scared that if he did something would happen to him as he had become severely paranoid to the point where he always kept his door locked and he even put a blanket over his window with tape. 

- One night when he finally had to sleep he felt Something chewing on him in his sleep, he was awoken when this chewing was joined with a sharp pain. 

- He looked down and saw Something, he screamed, there was so much blood everywhere... It was trying to kill him! It had to be!

- He tried to kick it away but couldn't, it just wouldn't go away, what even was it? He couldn't even tell! 

- He was like that for awhile, just trying to get it to go away but this was interrupted by his grandma knocking on his door. 

- BASIL forced himself to stand up and walk over to his door. Even as he walked Something kept chewing on him.

- When he opened the door his grandma immediately turned the light on and when she did Something was just... Gone? There was no blood like he had seen, everything seemed fine.

- She questioned him, asking him what was wrong, he just smiled awkwardly, telling her that he had just had a nightmare and that it wasn't a big deal. His grandma made him tea and gave it to him before going to bed.

- This wouldn't be the first time he was awoken by Something chewing on him, and eventually it started to do it other times as well. 

- BASIL had tried many different ways to get rid of it, but it never went away, it just stayed, sometimes he swore he could hear it talk or make a noise. 

- Reread books over and over again in an attempt to distract himself, but everything he did reminded him of his friends but mostly MARI and SUNNY. He hated it.    

- He wanted to stay hidden forever but after some convincing and a lot of begging his grandma eventually convinced him to go to school again.

- He knew that everyone was giving him weird looks when he showed up, but he didn't know why.

- Turns out he had been muttering to himself and he hadn't even realised it! People knew that he was the weirdo and tried to avoid him.

- The first person to talk to him was AUBREY! She gave him a big hug, asking him where he had been!

- He just said that he was dealing with personal issues and she told him that if he needed help with anything she was there!

- Even though BASIL didn't want to be around her as he wasn't ready to be around people yet he didn't tell her that, she just seemed so excited to be with him again, how could he tell her that he didn't want to hangout? 

- BASIL was invited by AUBREY to go see if SUNNY was willing to come out as well, BASIL didn't want to go, there was no way he could go back to that house, not after what had happened. But she begged him to go see with her and he hesitantly agreed.

- They were meant with disappointment when they knocked on the door multiple times and no one answered, they assumed that SUNNY and his mom must've gone out. 

- The two sat at Faraway Park wondering what to do when AUBREY suggested they could study together at BASIL's house. BASIL didn't want to again, but he saw how excited AUBREY was when she brought up the idea and so he agreed, ignoring the gnawing feeling in the back of his mind.

- The two sat in the living room while they studied for an upcoming test, BASIL was usually good at tests but while they studied it became apparent to AUBREY that BASIL was just not in the zone. 

- BASIL and AUBREY ended up going into BASIL's room to look at his photo album, even though the gnawing in the back of his mind got worse and even started to feel like Something. 

- When AUBREY opened the album all BASIL could see was Something in the place of MARI and it scared him, MARI didn't look like that did she? She did when she was just... Flowing there...

- The feeling had built up so much that he was thrown into a panic attack, he quickly shooed AUBREY off, suggesting that they take a break from looking at the photo album because she seemed upset because she was. 

- She agreed and left the room, BASIL needed to get rid of Something, he was starting to grow tired of seeing it, and what if AUBREY saw it? She'd totally freak.

- He quickly grabbed a marker and scribbled all over the photos with it, he didn't even want to see KEL, or SUNNY, or AUBREY, or HERO, none of them! They were all with that thing in the photos!

- He sat there, sobbing while he held the photo album now covered in marker. AUBREY heard and came to make sure he was okay, BASIL didn't look up but he could hear her gasp.

- He just continued to sit there when AUBREY ripped the album out of his hands and ran off to the bathroom.

- When BASIL had finally calmed down he went to the bathroom to check on AUBREY, she was desperately cleaning away the marker, she had gotten most of it off. He went to apologize for his outburst but when he spoke she snapped at him.

- He was scared, he had never seen her so angry before. She screamed at him, calling him all sorts of awful things as she cried. 

- She dropped the photo album onto the ground and ran out of his house. He just watched as she left.

- BASIL had decided to keep the photo album out as he had gotten a little more comfortable with the pictures in the album.

- He felt guilty for a while after what had happened with AUBREY, he felt like he had just stabbed a puppy or something. 

- When he went to school the next day he couldn't find her, or the day after that, or the day after that... 

- He was all alone again, but he really didn't mind. He needed to be alone.

- BASIL after a week or so had finally gotten used to people again, and he had even spotted AUBREY, she was sporting pink hair which he thought was very cool.

- He had gone to talk to her, to make up with her after the last time they had been together but when he had gone to talk to her she gave him the most disgusted look he had ever seen anyone wear. 

- She was with a group of people that he had never ever met before but that didn't matter to him right now, he had to make up with AUBREY right now!

- Suddenly the group had gone immediately hostile towards him, including AUBREY. They all started to claim that he had really upset AUBREY and someone like that was not allowed to talk to their group.

- Ever since that day they took a liking to beating him up and insulting him, he didn't understand what was happening, he tried to apologize but AUBREY wouldn't listen, that wasn't the AUBREY he knew...

- BASIL is more to himself and doesn't have any friends, he's alone.

- He had honestly forgotten about his other friends as they hadn't talked to him in a long time and he was too busy dealing with all the sudden bullying that they just never crossed his mind. 

- Often times when BASIL gets home he's got a few new bruises on him, his grandma is worried sick and always ends up patching him up. She asks him who does it every time but he never answers, only reassuring her that he's okay.

- Recently he's noticed his grandma is starting to be a lot less productive, he hopes she's okay...

A/N: Made it to the second part of my Wattpad headcanons where we're now in a different time frame! I hope you enjoy! :)

Warnings: One of the headcanons can be taken as a thought of wanting to unalive self, there's also a mention of taking medication that was prescribed. There are also mentions of depression!

- KEL was in shock for a while after MARI's death, he didn't understand what was happening or why it had happened. 

- He wanted to ask HERO since his parents wouldn't give him any useful answer, only telling him that they were sorry and that what had happened wasn't his fault.

- He couldn't ask HERO though because HERO had gone into a depressive state and was never interested in talking. 

- KEL had tried to get into contact with SUNNY as well, but SUNNY's mom kept answering the door and telling KEL that SUNNY wasn't feeling up to it or that SUNNY was asleep.

- He would head home disappointed.

- He overheard his parents talking about him and how he seemed hardly distraught with what had happened to MARI.

- Of course he was distraught, he just wasn't showing it. It's not that he wanted to look like he didn't care, because he really did care! He just... Couldn't show it. 

- He wanted to cry but couldn't. 

- KEL was losing himself every day because of everything that was happening, it felt like he had not only lost MARI but everyone else as well. He only had his dog, HECTOR.

- For once his grades improved because he didn't want to focus on everything else that was happening so he focused on school instead. 

- He started to talk to more people than he normally did but they all loved him thanks to his more outgoing personality! 

- He started finding extra things to do, anything to distract him from his growing breakdown, and also to avoid home as he can't bare to see his brother so upset.

- KEL brings food up to HERO for him to eat as he noticed that HERO was definitely not eating enough or anything at all. But most mornings he'd wake up and the food would still be on HERO's desk right where he had left it. 

- He didn't want to bug HERO about it though...

- KEL likes to talk to HERO a lot as well. He doesn't make HERO respond and he doesn't know if HERO listens to him but he likes to tell HERO what's going on.

- He gets very happy if HERO even responds with a headnod and most definitely is gitty at any 'mhm' HERO gives him. Will get the urge to engulf his brother in a hug but won't as he's tried before and HERO's complained. 

- HERO doesn't respond most of the time though, only in a rare moment will he do so.

- HERO's the main person he's worried about but SUNNY would definitely be next on that list then AUBREY then BASIL.

- He's positive that BASIL's got this all handled since he's so mature and positive! But so was HERO and now look at him...

-  KEL has no clue where BASIL and AUBREY went so he never was able to get into contact with them either. He'd gone to BASIL's house and knocked on the door but no one answered.

- Once KEL realised that his whole life had basically been taken away from him he had his first ever panic attack. 

- He hid away in his backyard, just sitting there. He had no clue what was happening or how to stop it and worst of all, no one came to help.

- Once it had passed he was exhausted, he just wanted to sleep forever and ever but then he quickly shoved that thought out of his head, that was the reason MARI was gone, and he didn't want to hurt his brother.

- He was found by HECTOR who gave him a big lick on the cheek! 

- KEL has taken on the role HERO once had when it comes to helping people! He does the chores that HERO usually did, he helps his mom cook, he helps his dad build and fix things, anything really.

- He cries quite a bit by himself. He doesn't even feel sad most of the time he just cries and cries and cries.

- He thinks that this is embarrassing and that he has to stay strong for his brother, HERO needs him!

- He's made it a habit to run every morning, most people think it's weird that a kid that young is already doing that sort of stuff, but KEL's mom encourages it.

- KEL does this to get all of his energy out as early as possible as he's stopped taking his stimulants ( the first one I wrote about KEL says that I think he has diagnosed ADHD :) ) just because he hasn't had the energy to take them and HERO's no longer reminding him. 

- His grades started to decline again because of this though. 

- He's also a lot chaotic, he's now the biggest ball of energy you've ever seen, even more so than he was before and not necessarily in a good way.

- This has also caused him to be more violent, not in a mean way like if he gets mad at you he'll punch you but just that he hits because he just gets the urge to, and he doesn't really hold back either. 

- He has gotten in trouble from this and his parents have gotten mad.

- KEL was absolutely horrified when his brother snapped at him, he honestly couldn't think for once, what was he supposed to say?

- Sadly his first thought wasn't about how he was feeling and how he was upset but about how HERO was and how upset HERO was. 

- Finally realised that there was a favored child and it wasn't him.

- He and HERO talked about everything that had happened and even though HERO wasn't in the best state of mind mentally to do so he still did. Though he cried a lot. 

- HERO would not let go of KEL, he just kept hugging him and even though KEL told him it was alright for him to stop HERO refused to.

- KEL ended up falling asleep like that.

- He was happy to have his brother back, even if HERO wasn't going to go back to how he was before KEL was grateful that HERO seemed to at least be functioning again. 

- He ended up slowly helping HERO out of the little bubble he had put himself in by introducing him to his own friends! They loved HERO just as much as they loved him!

- KEL tried to be there every time HERO was struggling, and would always tell HERO that he was fine, but something about the way HERO looked at him told him that he didn't believe that.

- KEL was ECSTATIC when HERO had told his family that he had gotten accepted by a college. Though he was a little disappointed to hear that he was going to college to become a doctor. 

- That night he won a basketball game against a different school... But that didn't matter! It was about HERO right now, then again, when was it not about HERO?...

Pre-Trauma AUBREY Headcanons

A/N: This one's from my Wattpad and I really like it! I thought it turned out amazing so I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

- "I don't wanna feel better, no one's ever gonna love me like that again..."

- Likes to match with MARI! Sometimes if she wants to match bows she'll give MARI one of hers since MARI doesn't really wear them!

- Will try to put a bow in KEL's hair, he hates it and she finds it funny. She will eventually give up and put it on one of the others.

- BASIL smiles and lets her, he'd love to wear one of her bows, especially if it's one she likes! If she likes it so does he!

- MARI would also let her, though she'd remind AUBREY to be careful with her hair as she's done it nicely. 

- HERO would be embarrassed by the request and will take a moment but will eventually agree to let her. MARI would compliment him on his new hair accessory and he'll be GONE.

- SUNNY doesn't want her to so she won't, but she will pout for a moment before going back to normal.

- I definitely think AUBREY is trans. Of course if you don't believe she is feel free to ignore this one! She realised before she meant BASIL that she was and immediately tried to make her body more comfortable for herself by wearing more girly clothing such as dresses as well as bows in her hair. She is still sometimes uncomfortable by the way she looks underneath her clothes but she has amazing friends who support her 100%!

- She often likes to avoid home as much as possible so she's always willing to go out at any given moment.

- AUBREY doesn't invite her friends over to her house ever because she finds her living conditions and her parents embarrassing. She knows her house is a little dirtier and older than her friends houses, and her parents are always having problems that she doesn't want her friends overhearing. 

- She likes to pretend to give KEL cooties and she giggles while she watches him scream and try to get cooties off of himself.

- She has had a crush on HERO before. Of course it was just a child crush because he's older than her so he's cooler. At least that's what she thought.

- During this short period of time she followed the guy around like a lost puppy and he was super confused but just shrugged it off.

- Overheard her talking to Mr. Eggplant about how she liked him.

- He had to explain to her that right now she was just too young to be in a relationship like that and that he liked somebody else. But he said they could be best friends instead!

- AUBREY likes to swing with SUNNY and MARI. She knows MARI can't do much with her knee so if they swing they can talk, have fun, get exercise in, and keep MARI safe!

- Sore loser, not as bad as she is when she's older but still a sore loser. Hates it a lot more if she loses to KEL or SUNNY.

- Sometimes borrows KEL's clothes because sometimes she needs to. She doesn't really mind though. They stink sure, but they're super comfy so it doesn't matter!

- KEL likes helping her out anyway, it makes him happy to know he's helping someone out! 

- She also likes to borrow MARI's sweaters, jackets and stuff of the sort! 

- AUBREY likes listening to songs with deeper meanings! She likes guessing what the deeper meaning is with SUNNY and BASIL. 

- She's tried to help MARI play a song on the piano before, she wasn't very good but she was super happy that her and MARI got to do that together, she hopes they can do that a lot more after the recital!

- When she's upset she likes to keep to herself, she usually gets mad when she gets upset so if she's feeling really angry she'll punch a tree. It hurts but she doesn't really mind.

- Her hands and knuckles are covered in bruises that all her friends worry about but to her it's nothing that special.

- BASIL is super worried, always trying to convince her to not do that as he doesn't like seeing her hurt! He'll go get HERO or MARI so that they can bandage her up! He'll give her a hug!

- KEL is also very worried, but is a lot more angry at her about it! He hates it when she gets hurt and knowing that she's hurt always upsets him! She should be more careful! He tries to bandage her up himself, he'll also kiss her hand after as that's what his mom does after he gets hurt and fixes him up. 

- SUNNY doesn't really understand, nor is he very quick to anger. He'll go get MARI or HERO so that they can help her. He'll give her a hug!

- MARI is saddened by this, she knows that AUBREY needs to get her feelings out somehow but she hates that it involves punching things, she tries to encourage AUBREY to punch softer things that won't hurt her hands. She also bandages up her hands!

- HERO panics, he immediately fixes up her hands. He lectures her about it after but if she's upset he'll give her a hug, reassuring her that even if he doesn't like it he'll be there for her and if she needs to talk she can rely on him. 

- If she's upset and doesn't get the chance to beat a random object up she always vents to HERO or MARI. Since they're older she sees them as knowing what to do!

- MARI always gives her great advice because she knows AUBREY will follow that advice, she'll probably also give AUBREY a big hug!

- HERO is like MARI and he gives great advice! Comforting AUBREY is a lot easier than it is to comfort SUNNY or BASIL to him.  

-  She wants her room to be pink! But she knows that'll never happen, so she just keeps hoping that one day when she walks up her whole room will be painted!

- Never was given a chance to believe in Santa, or the Tooth Fairy, or the Easter Bunny.

- AUBREY swears and it's a bad habit that HERO and MARI are trying to fix. They assume that her parents must do it a lot for her to be doing it this much.

- Cries when Mr. Eggplant gets dirty. She runs up to HERO and begs him to wash it and he always agrees and she just waits with a longing look on her face.

- She has a hard time sleeping, she doesn't know why, she just can't. She always just lays in bed for hours, hoping that anything will pull her into sleep.

- Is amazed when she sees the stuff HERO and MARI do in school. Like wooooah... You did that? I don't even know what that is :0

- AUBREY hates when it's time for her to go home, she loves her friends and she hates home so when she has to leave she almost cries, she wishes she could just stay with them forever and never have to go back to her home.

- She usually does cry when she gets home, because she's immediately reminded that her life isn't the greatest away from her friends.

- She's usually the one that ends up trying to clean the house as her parents are too busy arguing. Her mom always judges the way she cleans.

- Her dad tries to help sometimes when he's home, which isn't very often and he's not arguing with her mom. 

- AUBREY's very down on herself, but she doesn't tell people nor does she act like it. She acts all confident in front of people but secretly thinks very lowly of herself.

- She hopes one day she can do something that will impress MARI!

- SUNNY is a very very quiet kid even before his trauma, often letting his big sister do the talking for him. 

- He's almost never that far away from MARI, because he's very dependent on her.

- When he gets nervous, scared, angry, sad, happy etc, etc, he always goes to MARI. She always seems to help him calm down or encourage his positive emotions.

- If MARI's not around he'll be upset but will instead go to his mom, if not his mom then BASIL, if not BASIL then HERO, if not HERO then AUBREY, if not AUBREY then KEL.

- BASIL's always been one to go to SUNNY when he needs to vent so SUNNY coming to him is only fair in BASIL's mind. He happily listens to SUNNY, and will comfort him if needed. Always gives him a smile after SUNNY feels better or is done talking about something he's happy about.

- HERO doesn't really know what to do if SUNNY's upset as he leaves that to MARI but will try to make him feel better. If he's happy HERO will just nod his head, giving SUNNY a thumbs up, as well as an awkward smile.

- AUBREY listens. She doesn't interrupt, or even move a muscle. She's not letting him be upset! Not on her watch! She'll hug him for hours if she has to! She's not afraid not to! Though if he's really frustrated about it to the point where he's in tears she'll end up in tears too. Gives him a huge smile after he's talked about something that makes him happy!

- KEL is not the best comfort boy out there, he's not very good at listening either. He'll be focusing on something else. If SUNNY's really upset he'll offer for him and SUNNY to go on a walk and will encourage SUNNY to keep talking. Will interrupt and tell SUNNY about something he likes in response to SUNNY talking about what makes him happy.

- SUNNY is a mama's boy, just like HERO!

- SUNNY likes to watch SWEETHEART with KEL, BASIL, and AUBREY. He almost always ends up moving himself closer to AUBREY.

- Loves to show his friends scores he's gotten on his games,  mostly KEL and BASIL! They always seem impressed!

- The opposite of BASIL who likes thunder, SUNNY hates it! It's way too loud! And why must it rain so much? He likes the rain, but not this much rain!

- SUNNY doesn't eat much, he doesn't have an ed or anything he's just not a very hungry kid, though MARI's concerned about why he doesn't eat as much as everyone else.

- When he does eat he really likes MARI's and his mom's cooking and baking but he also really likes cereal! His favorites are Fruit Loops, Fruity Pebbles, and Lucky Charms!

- He's tried "healthier" cereals but doesn't enjoy them. He finds them too tasteless.

- He's also a huge meat enjoyer! He likes a good BBQ and whatnot! His favorites are steak, chicken, and crab! 

- SUNNY likes to go on walks with KEL and HERO! HERO isn't a big fan of exercise so this is a nice alternative for him. He can handle a walk.

- He likes to listen to KEL and HERO babble about which is better or who is better. He secretly agrees with one of them in his head.

- That being said SUNNY really looks up to HERO! He wants to be just like him when he's 15! SUNNY sees HERO as a super kind and overall amazing guy! He also likes HERO's haircut!

- Likes to stay up later, he's usually not doing much, he's usually playing games or thinking of stories in his head.

- Has drawn the headspace versions of his friends. Not because headspace existed, but because the only coloured pencils he had were white, blue, purple, green, pink, orange, and red!

- He showed BASIL and BASIL loved it! BASIL even got to keep it!

- SUNNY has tried to played catch with KEL before, always ends up getting hit with the ball though.

- He also gets worried when MARI offers to play with KEL or AUBREY. He knows about her bad knee and doesn't really want her pushing herself too hard.

- Will offer to take her place but the two aren't really happy about it because SUNNY isn't the best when it comes to playing games.

- His favorites to play are Red Light, Green Light with KEL, and Hopscotch with AUBREY. 

- AUBREY doesn't tell him he's bad at games, she just tells him how good she thinks he's doing. 

- KEL doesn't tell him about how he's bad at games either, but will recommend that they play something else if he doesn't feel that SUNNY can handle the game.

- SUNNY also likes to play Duck Duck Goose with all of his friends. If he's in the middle he likes to either go for HERO or BASIL.

- He likes how much fun they all have when they play that game.

- Sometimes SUNNY sleeps with MEWO when he's scared and is trying to be brave and not go to MARI's bed.

- MEWO is very unimpressed.

- SUNNY likes to hug HECTOR. Dogs aren't his favorite animal in the whole wide world but HECTOR is a very nice dog!

- Goes into a laughing fit when HECTOR licks his face. 

- He knows how frustrated MARI gets when it comes to the piano and messing up and he doesn't really understand why. 

- He tries to avoid her when she's upset.

- He's very only ever been yelled at once in his life that he can remember so he's not very fond of the idea of being yelled at.

- SUNNY takes very special care of his violin! He cleans it every day so that it's really clean for him the next time he uses it!

- He also likes to help MARI clean her piano if she lets him and HERO isn't already on it!

- Probably needs glasses, but he doesn't tell anyone about his slightly crappy vision. But sometimes he hates having to squint to see what things say!

- SUNNY likes to be by himself. He likes to make stories in his head while he just sits in a completely silent room. He hopes one day he can write a book or something!

- He likes to share his stories with MEWO. MEWO is unimpressed. 

-  SUNNY is a spoiled kid who isn't used to not getting what he wants. He's the youngest so he's the most spoiled after all, but he's not overly mean about it or anything like that, he just gets a little fussy when things don't go his way.

- Complains to MEWO, MEWO just sleeps.

A/N: Yet again another from my Wattpad! I hope that these ones make sense I was struggling a little with HERO but I did it!

- LORD I LOVE THIS MAN WITH MY WHOLE HEART-

- HERO is the actual perfectionist who's a total try hard, he just rubbed off on MARI. 

-  I know a lot of people see him as trans man (FtM) but personally I think he's a cis man. But if you headcanon him as a trans man that's okay too! :)

- Likes to do chores for his mom, because he's definitely a mama's boy.

- He definitely finishes assignments before they're even due, MARI and BASIL often tell him to go a little easy on himself.

- HERO likes to pick out clothes for the next day! It makes him feel ready to go as soon as he wakes up!

- An early morning type of guy, that's when he performs his best.

- Loves to drink tea, hasn't dabbled in the art of coffee yet. His favorite teas are green tea, peppermint tea, and rose tea.

- HERO likes helping SUNNY, AUBREY, BASIL and KEL with homework. BASIL being the easiest to help and KEL being the hardest.

- Wouldn't be surprised if he often has to pick up KEL because KEL will try and run away from him when getting lectured. He probably sometimes picks up AUBREY, SUNNY, and BASIL just because he's so used to picking up KEL.

- BASIL just gives him a smile, not really caring.

- SUNNY doesn't like it and will tap HERO's arm to remind him that he is indeed not KEL.

- AUBREY's confused, tilting her head. She doesn't really mind though.

- KEL hates it, obviously. He tries to escape by kicking, biting, licking, really anything that'll get HERO to let go. It never works and he gets in lots of trouble. - He acts innocent but I know better. He's a teenage boy, no teenage boy has innocent thoughts. But he acts as child friendly as he can for the younger kids. 

- Will chuckle if he hears something that could be taken out of context. Likes to tell MARI what he heard. MARI just rolls her eyes, lightly hitting his arm.

- HERO definitely tries to stay more in touch with his culture than I think KEL would. He's just that type of guy.

- He's considered playing an instrument before but decides that he'll leave that to SUNNY and MARI.

- Random one but he almost always sleeps on his back. What a monster...

- He's always encouraging MARI to try her hardest! Usually telling her that great things will happen if she does! 

- Also tells her that if she needs a break sometimes that's okay too! He just wants her to be as happy as possible!

- HERO likes to listen to AUBREY vent as he's aware that home life for her isn't the best. She always tells him about her mother and how she wishes that her mom wouldn't be so mean. 

- He always hugs her for about 10 - 13 minutes. Reassuring her that she has them if she ever needs anything at all.

- HERO is very cuddly, he loves cuddles. Doesn't really care who he cuddles with but he prefers his mom and MARI!

-  I get the feeling he very rarely but still does read fanfiction. He finds it weird but strangely interesting. He might even invite MARI to read with him.

- Plays games with KEL and AUBREY, but absolutely loses to them. Always ask for a moment to catch his breath. 

- Likes to play catch with KEL and hide and seek with AUBREY. He's actually pretty good at hide and seek, always giving AUBREY tips so that she can beat KEL, SUNNY, MARI, and BASIL.

- HERO often accepts jobs such as at Gino's and Fix It. He likes having money on him at all times just in case he needs it for something.

- I can see him being very cheap. He often dislikes spending a lot of money and will avoid spending money all together as often as he can.

- He will spend money on KEL and MARI more than other people, but that's just because that's who he's closest too!

- He does actually have a slightly rebellious side but it's often not put on display because he's a much bigger wuss then he is rebellious. 

- Somehow always ends up being the first one to fall asleep at sleepovers. He's a very eepy guy. 

- Has definitely woken up to a maker mustache before, as well as other drawings on his face. He usually immediately knows it's KEL but pretends he doesn't know just to make KEL happy.

- Usually the one who ends up walking HECTOR. His parents don't trust KEL to do it and they're always too busy so he's always doing it for them.  

- MARI often tells HERO that he needs to start standing up for himself more as she thinks he doesn't do it enough. 

- HERO was the one to tell KEL that Santa wasn't real. Felt horrible when KEL burst into tears and dressed up as Santa later that night just so KEL would be happy again and tell HERO the next morning that Santa is real.

- SUNNY usually sleeps in MARI's bed when he has a nightmare, it's similar with HERO and KEL. KEL usually sneaks into HERO's bed after having a bad dream. 

- Sometimes HERO will move himself into KEL's bed if he's had a bad dream because he thinks that maybe there's something like a spider around and needs KEL to protect him. 

- KEL finds this hilarious.

- HERO at first got worried for MARI when he first saw her stimming, he thought that it meant something really really bad and got super duper worried. 

- MARI and SUNNY's mom reassured him that it was just her own way of dealing with things such as being overstimulated. HERO's reaction was something along the lines of :0.

- He still likes to check up on her though! Make sure she knows he's there just in case she needs him!

- HERO always tells KEL what he's learned in school and KEL's always like "Booooooooring!" HERO thought it was interesting...

- He's repulsed by KEL's grades, and almost has a heart attack when he sees them. He cannot believe that someone could somehow be failing every class except gym.

- He likes ruffling peoples hair, mostly because his dad does it to him.

- KEL's always angry when HERO ruffles his hair. He cannot believe that he did such a thing!

- AUBREY is mostly confused as no one's ever done that to her before but she finds it fun!

- SUNNY hates it, and so HERO doesn't do that to him. 

- BASIL likes it! He's happy that he's close with his friends!

- MARI doesn't like that it messes up her hair... But she'll let him do it, because she loves him.

- HERO likes to get gardening tips from BASIL, HERO wants to plant his own flower one day! BASIL supports that idea 100%!

MARI Headcanons

A/N: Another one from my Wattpad! I had a lot of fun with this one! Please enjoy! :)

- My mom first of all.

- A big thing I believe for MARI is that she's on the autism spectrum. She's not on the severe side but is still on the spectrum.

- When she was younger she didn't really know what was considered to be the 'societal normal'. She was too honest, often not understanding why people would be upset at her if she told them something that was her just trying to help them.

- She didn't really know what was wrong with being completely, unfiltered, nor did she understand why people were mad at her when she didn't act like she cared for what they like if she didn't like it. 

- Her parents tried to explain it to her but she didn't really understand.  

- When she met HERO she immediately took interest in him as she saw him as perfect, he just seemed to do everything right, which wasn't necessarily a good thing, but she didn't know that!

- HERO helped her out with understanding what was considered right and wrong, telling her what was the best thing to do in certain situations.  

- She definitely copied HERO's personality as best as she could, seeing him as who she wanted to be and since everyone liked him he had to be doing something right!

- HERO was one of MARI's biggest inspirations growing up, along with her dad!

- Whenever MARI needs help with anything she doesn't ask for that help often as she copied and grew up with HERO's perfectionist personality, making her hardly ever need help as she's just made herself good at everything. 

- But if she really needs help she'll go to HERO or her dad! Though preferably HERO first, since she's just always felt closer to him.

-  The life lessons she teaches mostly KEL and AUBREY, but sometimes SUNNY, and BASIL were all things her parents tried to teach her. 

- She hates not being able to play that many sports and games with KEL and AUBREY, she really wants to. Her favorites are to play tag with KEL and catch with AUBREY. 

- She likes to tease HERO, she finds his reactions hilarious and adorable. But she also likes to protect him from teasing. 

- Likes to tease BASIL, SUNNY, and KEL as well! But mostly HERO!

- Doesn't really get why SUNNY is so quiet but she doesn't really mind, she tries to encourage him to be more open with people!

- The same applies to BASIL, she doesn't really understand why he's so shy but she'll still encourage him to the best of her abilities!

- Really likes hanging out with KEL, she sees her younger self in him and is wanting to help him learn how to treat people nicely and respectfully!

- Took up baking and cooking because she wanted foods and sweets that her parents weren't making because she's a picky eater, it ended up becoming a hobby she enjoys! 

- She's very creative! Not only does she enjoy music and the deeper meaning behind it but she also enjoys poetry and writing! 

- MARI has a hyperfixation on music, mainly the piano but a few other instruments as well. 

- KEL likes to make fun of her for this which is usually responded with HERO shushing KEL and apologising to MARI over and over again as he tells her "HE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND!"  

- Helpless romantic, like, this girl loves herself a romantic novel and is always replacing the two love interests with her and HERO, she'd never tell him that though.

- This is also why she likes waltz! Love interests always seem to waltz in a ballroom together, and she hopes one day that'll be her and her love interest. 

- She likes to waltz with MEWO. Though MEWO's usually very unimpressed. 

- MARI likes to impress everyone with her piano playing skills, which is one of her main motivations for playing it.

- Very mischievous, loves to pull pranks. Will help KEL or AUBREY if they want to pull a prank on someone.

- Used to prank HERO and lot when they were younger just to see how he reacted as a learning experience. But ended up finding it funny and not learning from it at all.

- Likes to have girl talks with AUBREY, such as talking about boys. Encourages AUBREY to wait a little longer before getting into a relationship, saying that "You're too young."

- Paints her nails purple and paints AUBREY's nails pink. Will convince HERO to let her paint his nails too, though he won't act happy about it. She'll either paint his nails black or blue.

- Will also try to paint SUNNY, BASIL, and KEL's nails. SUNNY and BASIL don't really mind and will let her if she wants to, but KEL will put up a fight and argue that "It's for girls!"

- Leaves little sticky notes on HERO's side of his shared bedroom. Usually just words of encouragement or little poems she wrote about him.

- She also leaves snacks in HERO and KEL's room. But she hides them so that KEL doesn't find them.

- She's scared to mess up in front of anyone, but mostly HERO. She wants to impress him, not humiliate herself in front of him, HERO wouldn't really care though.

- When she does mess up she totally freaks, HERO always tries his best to comfort her, and he's usually able to. 

- Tries to get SUNNY to eat more because he's not eating enough. Will try and sway him with rewards.

-  MARI loves to read SUNNY stories before bed, since he's usually sleeping in her bed anyway. She also likes to read BASIL stories. 

- She also likes to remind BASIL everyday about how important he is to her and everyone else!

- MARI is a little upset at the fact that they had to build a treehouse in their backyard as she doesn't like bringing HERO over because she's heard her dad talk about how he doesn't like HERO to her mom.

- She's tried to explain to him that HERO's a good guy who helped her learn, but wouldn't really get through to him.

- She's a totally neat freak, just like HERO.

- Hopes that one day she'll be able to completely understand why people are the way they are without HERO's help.

- MARI gets frustrated easily, though she's learned how to hide her anger and just smile through it.

- She was OVERJOYED when SUNNY said he wanted to play violin to play with her! She was practically bouncing on her toes. 

- BASIL and MARI point out plants together when the group is walking somewhere, MARI is always interested in what BASIL has to say about plants. She learns so much from him!

- Always gives SUNNY a hug when they separate from each other, even though he doesn't really like to touch people.   

- He'll make an exception for MARI.

- MARI wanted to be the one who dyed AUBREY's hair! She also wanted to teach KEL how to put his hair up! 

- She never got the time to do so before her death...

- ANOTHER PURE BABY

- Let's start this off by saying he LOVES to tell people about plants, not only because he's interested in them but also because he feels like it makes him smarter when he's the one able to give fun facts to people. 

- He's very down on himself, often not thinking he's good enough, even before the events of the game. So being able to go "Did you know-" really makes him feel better.

- He also enjoys hearing MARI talk about fun facts as well! He finds what she talks about is really interesting! She always seems to know so much! 

- He looks up to all his friends! But mostly SUNNY, MARI, and AUBREY! Those three have had the biggest impact on him in a good way! They've taught him to not be so down on himself and that people who actually want to be his friend will like him for who he is!

- When HERO and MARI aren't around he's usually the most responsible and reasonable one, trying to de-escalate fights between AUBREY and KEL. 

- He's also KEL's voice of reason when the two oldest aren't present. Often encouraging him to think before acts and to not do anything stupid.

- BASIL likes to play with AUBREY, KEL, and MARI's hair, he doesn't really know why, but he does! SUNNY and HERO's are too short and so he doesn't enjoy it as much. 

- Though he rarely ever gets to touch KEL's hair, since KEL doesn't like it when people touch it because he finds it embarrassing/too girly to play with hair.

- AUBREY's the one who enjoys it the most! She also offers to play with and do BASIL's hair! Which BASIL always accepts! 

- BASIL named some of his plants after all of his friends! He makes sure to take extra care of those ones! 

- Strikes me as the type of person to read an unGodly amount.  

- BASIL likes to share and trade books with HERO and MARI. Those two read a lot just like him! But the ones that HERO and MARI read have bigger words so sometimes he struggles.

- When BASIL doesn't know how to read a word he'll go to SUNNY and if SUNNY doesn't know how to read it he'll go to HERO! 

- He likes to help HERO and MARI cook and bake! He mostly just grabs ingredients, and always gets to lick the batter off after!

- Though sometimes KEL and AUBREY catch him and complain about not being able to lick the batter, making BASIL feel bad.

- He LOVES thunderstorms, there's just something about them that soothes him. He really loves to watch them as well!

- Reading is also another thing he likes to do during thunderstorms! The atmosphere is perfect for it!

- He loves to read to his grandma, mainly fairytales! He knows that fairytales were something she heavily grew up with and so he hopes that by reading fairytales to her he'll be able to get a smile out of her.

- He also likes to tell his grandma about adventures he goes on with his friends and what sort of trouble KEL and AUBREY get themselves into with HERO and MARI.

- She always laughs at his stories.

- BASIL loves to make people smile in general! He loves people's smiles! That's why he likes his friends so much! They smile so often, it really makes him happy!

- He likes to watch KEL and SUNNY play video games, he finds it funny when KEL rages! He always tells KEL "Don't worry! You'll definitely win next time!" but KEL never wins the next time.

- When SUNNY loses BASIL does the exact same thing, but in a more comforting way. As SUNNY doesn't rage, he's just sad.

- BASIL likes to share jokes with KEL and HERO, especially terrible puns. KEL always groans and rolls his eyes, but always snickers a little.

- HERO loves terrible puns, so he always laughs, he sometimes laughs so hard that even BASIL starts to laugh.

- BASIL likes to draw little flowers on his schoolwork, he also lets SUNNY draw onto his schoolwork too as well as AUBREY!

- He doesn't let KEL though... KEL finds it funny to draw peens. BASIL doesn't want to get in trouble.

- Sometimes his teachers get annoyed at the amount of doodles on his paper, but at the same time it makes the paper more interesting.

- Has definitely had a crush on both SUNNY and KEL. But after time those crushes went away. ( Sorry Sunflower, Cactiflower, and Sunkissed shippers :'( )

- BASIL heavily ships HERO and MARI together. He isn't like KEL and AUBREY who tell them to kiss, but if they kissed and he just so happened to have his camera on him you know he's taking a picture. 

- He'd probably lead KEL, SUNNY, and AUBREY away from the two so that they could catch a break and relax together.

- He likes to match clothes with SUNNY as much as possible! Which MARI finds absolutely adorable and KEL thinks is gross.

- BASIL often vents to SUNNY as he listens to BASIL, but he wouldn't be opposed to venting to AUBREY or HERO. 

- He knows KEL doesn't really know how to take anything seriously and that MARI would worry too much or more likely not understand so he prefers to avoid venting to those three. 

- SUNNY's a great listener in BASIL's eyes so that he more often then not chooses SUNNY. But if he wants actual advice he'll talk to HERO about it. 

- He's a cuddler, he loves to cuddle, which often makes his hugs last way too long. His favorite people to hug are AUBREY, MARI and HERO!

- BASIL is the one who explains things to SUNNY after he's done zoning out along with MARI! MARI does have a tendency to tell him "Don't worry about it." though. 

- BASIL prefers to actually explain what he missed, which is usually just KEL and AUBREY bickering or HERO and MARI flirting.

- Is a little shy around new people but becomes more open very quickly! Especially when one of his other friends are there with him!

- Out of instinct BASIL probably complains about plants that aren't taken care of, like at school. He'll notice it's too dehydrated, too cramped, etc, and immediately complains to his friends about it.

- KEL's reaction is very much "So?"

- AUBREY always gives him a smile and says "Lets go tell them about it!" - SUNNY tries to comfort BASIL, telling him "I'm sure they'll notice eventually..."

- HERO's reaction is definitely a mix of AUBREY and SUNNY's "I'm sure that they'll notice but if they don't we can tell them about it!" - MARI's is something along the lines of "Oh no! Poor plant! Why don't we help it out?" - BASIL likes to let AUBREY sleep over at his house because he knows that her home life isn't great from what she's told him. 

- He'll even set up a spot for Mr. Eggplant! As well as wishing Mr. Eggplant goodnight along with AUBREY! 

Woah! Another one done! I wasn't sure how my hc for BASIL would turn out but I really like them! I'm really trying to make it so that some characters interact more with each other! :)

- UGH PURE BABY

- Calling it right now he tried to be like HERO. He at some point wanted to do everything that big brother did but obviously couldn't. 

- He'd try to be charming but would fail miserably, he wanted to go to highschool but couldn't, he'd try to cook and bake but couldn't and most likely accidentally set something on fire. Poor kid could hardly do anything that his brother did. :( 

- He was heartbroken when he found out that he couldn't be HERO, don't worry, he moved on pretty quickly, especially after HERO told him that he'd much rather hangout with KEL then another him. 

- The same applies to MARI. He wanted to be her too. But then he remembered she could play piano and he definitely couldn't so he gave up on that one pretty quickly.

- He was a troublesome kid who liked to cause problems, especially for AUBREY and HERO. He didn't find it fun to tease, pick on, or bug SUNNY, BASIL and MARI. He got a good giggle whenever he bugged HERO, as he knew that inside HERO probably found his antics funny... He hoped...

- He loved the reactions AUBREY gives him when he pokes fun at her, and he finds it even funnier to see what responses she would come up with. It was a game between the two of them.

- Likes to tease AUBREY about her crush on SUNNY the most, since it really gets to her. Though he usually ends up with a bruise afterward and is crying to HERO.

- HERO gets AUBREY to apologize but definitely tells KEL that he shouldn't bug her so much and that she had a good reason to be upset at him. 

- Likes to play tag with MARI! He does feel a little bad when her knee starts to hurt though... 

- He likes to climb on HERO, since HERO is so much taller than him it's pretty easy on HERO yet a challenge for KEL! 

- HERO doesn't really like it, he says that it reminds him of "a spider crawling up on me". This just makes it funny to KEL, he usually likes to tap his finger against his brothers back to imitate spiders while he climbs, loves it when HERO totally freaks from this.

- He also likes to climb on his dad who doesn't mind as much as HERO! He usually just ruffles KEL's hair, which KEL hates, because he finds it soooo embarrassing.

- Jokingly flirts with AUBREY, SUNNY, and BASIL (totally not because he sees HERO and MARI do it... P.S. IT IS) 

- Enjoys BASIL's confused, yet flustered, yet embarrassed, yet shy, yet disgusted, yet happy, yet excited, yet angry reaction the most. 

- Likes to mock HERO and MARI's relationship.

- Often encouraging them to kiss along with AUBREY.

- Lets out a mocking "awwww" whenever HERO and/or MARI are worried about each other. 

- Secretly wishes someone would worry about him like that

- He definitely worries for AUBREY in the same way HERO and MARI worry about each other. Doesn't have a crush on her though.

- When at BASIL's house he points at all the different plants and goes "what's this one?" "what's that?" "Ohh! This one looks cool! What's it called?!"

- Probably has diagnosed ADHD.

- He likes to show MARI and HERO things he's found. HERO usually gags if it's a bug, or if literally anything is covered in dirt, or is soaked, he'll gag. MARI's always "Ooh cool find KEL! :D"

- If he finds something he really likes MARI and/or BASIL will help him keep. If it's a bug or something MARI will buy one of those little Dollar Store bug enclosures and help him put things inside of it like leafs, grass and sticks. 

- SUNNY will also join in if it's not a spider, MARI will teach SUNNY a thing or two about bugs and nature if he helps. 

- KEL always lets SUNNY come up with the name for the bug. Though SUNNY usually only names the spiders scary. 

- He has a few of the cheap, crappy enclosures outside in his backyard. HERO reminds him to check if the bugs are dead or not so that if they are they can use the enclosure for other bugs.

- Holds funerals for the bugs. 

- If it's something that's covered in dirt or sand or something of the sort BASIL will help him wash it off and clean it.

- If it's something that can be named KEL will let BASIL name it, though BASIL always says "No! It's yours KEL! You should name it!"

- KEL will keep bugging BASIL until he names it. But to cheer him up after KEL always goes "Me and (name)! Adventure buddies forever! Me and him/her will go on so many adventures together! Thank you BASIL!"

- Is constantly asking his mom for snacks for his friends. He knows MARI and HERO could just make them but he knows that sometimes it must get tiring. His mom always makes little sandwiches with a side celery and cucumber. Maybe apple slices as well. 

- Tells HERO and MARI that it's just because he was feeling really hungry and couldn't wait for them to make food. But MARI knows that he really only wanted to help out and so she teases him for being embarrassed to help.

- KEL hates it, how dare she >:(

- He's not actually all that mad though, he's just over dramatic like that

-  He likes to share his food with SUNNY! SUNNY doesn't eat all that much and KEL doesn't know why, so he hopes that by offering his food to SUNNY he'll eat more. 

- Other than MARI he's one of SUNNY's biggest encouragement providers, often trying to get SUNNY out of his comfort zone and try new things! But SUNNY usually only freaks out and runs to his sister. KEL can only pout at this.

- Has successfully convinced BASIL that he indeed has a watermelon for a head.

- Likes to go "You have a spider in your hair!" to HERO and AUBREY. He laughs when he sees them freak out. Though AUBREY always does it back to him, which KEL says is not at all fair.

- Doesn't like it when his brother teases or bugs him back, which happens a lot.

- "KEL screams like a girl!" Is what AUBREY likes to tease him about, and he finds that one to be the most embarrassing. 

- Is jealous of his brother sometimes, because HERO seems to be good at everyone which KEL doesn't find fair at all. 

- Often has scrapes and bruises all over himself, he seems like the type of kid to trip a lot because he's clumsy. 

- Definitely a scab picker, which both his mom and brother lecture him not to do. But he can't help it!

It's the Thought That Counts

Summary: You feel like making something for HERO since he's always making things for you, but something goes wrong

I’m going to do this! I’m going to do this! You encouraged yourself, bouncing on your feet as you headed to the kitchen. Hero had just left to go pick up some things from the grocery store giving you the perfect opportunity to surprise him. You knew Hero would only grab what he needed and come back as soon as possible which was definitely not going to be enough time for you. So you had asked him to grab a few extra things that you knew would be more time consuming for him to find because you knew Hero, he would search as hard as he could for what you had asked for and if he didn’t find it he’d come back, slumpy and pouting as he would admit he couldn’t find what you had asked him for. But he tried to avoid that as much as he could, meaning he’d be gone for some time.

What you were up to wasn’t bad or anything of the sort, it was a surprise for Hero. You found that he always seems to be taking care of you no matter what, he hardly ever lets you lift a finger, always taking on as many responsibilities as he can. Two of these many responsibilities are baking and cooking, he’s always baking and cooking. He’s not a huge fan of takeout and going to a restaurant because why should you guys buy food that someone else made when he can just make it himself? That’s what he always says anyway. But you never cook or bake for him, and if you try to he always insists on helping, never letting you get away with doing it yourself. You love Hero, he’s sweet and you know that he cares for you with all his heart, but you feel guilty because you want to help and spoil him too. Which is why keeping him out and about is so important at the moment.

So here you were, in the kitchen looking at the recipe, pulling the things you need out of cupboards and pantries before setting them down on the newly cleaned counter. You take a deep breath, you can do this, you can do this!

You’ve learned from Hero that it was easier to have separate bowls with one having the dry ingredients and the other having the wet ingredients before mixing them together in another bigger bowl. He had told you that not everyone did it like this but he found it easier himself so he always did it. So you did just that, hoping that Hero’s way of doing things would be easy just as he said it was. 

This was a recipe that Hero had made when he was younger with his, at the time, suspected girlfriend Mari. It is one he definitely enjoys making, you assume because of the fact it was one of the many recipes he made with Mari.

You never met Mari, she had already passed when you met Hero but you’ve heard from his brother, Kel, that Hero and her were very close, and it was clear that they liked each other, but no one knew if they were in a relationship together or not, they didn’t tell anyone. Even now, when you ask him, Hero doesn’t tell you, only saying ‘maybe!’. You know that really, it’s none of your business but you wished you could know more about the girl since all of Hero’s friends seemed to know her and they all also seemed to like her, a lot. When they talk about her you always feel just a little out of place because you never know what to say or how to comment at all. Hero always tells you that ‘it’s okay!’ But you wish you could know more about how Hero felt about her. When his friends bring her up he’s always the quietest, though you had heard that her passing was quite hard for him. Maybe that’s why? You guessed that it didn’t matter since his friends didn’t seem to care when you had nothing to say or when you asked a question or two about her.

Your attention is stolen when you hear the oven let out a little noise to tell you that it’s done preheating. You quickly finish your concoction and put it into the oven so that it can bake. You can only hope that it’s done before Hero gets home.

You decide that while you wait for your surprise to finish you should get cleaning. Hero was not a fan of dirty dishes and so naturally, you aren’t either. You grab and put them into the sink, trying to quickly clean them with soap and water before putting them to the side to be put away. You repeat this boring process a few times, and during your quick cleaning process you don’t take notice of the amount of water you are splashing everywhere until it’s too late. You accidentally step too far forward when you try to reach the sink once more, causing your foot to lose its balance. You slip forward slightly, making you fall down onto the tiled floor of the kitchen, the bowl in your hands being let go of mid fall as you panic to catch yourself. 

You sit on the floor for a moment, trying to process what had just happened. It only takes you a short amount of time to realise you’re covered in the extra contents of what was in the bowl you had accidently let go of. Not only were you covered but the floor and really almost anything that was in the vicinity. You groan, mentally face palming at the sight. You had created a huge mess that was going to be tedious to clean up. You sit on the floor a while longer, trying to not stress about the situation too much, but that was proving difficult. You sigh as you stand up onto your feet, grabbing the bowl that had made this a bigger problem then it was supposed to be on your way up. 

You hear the click of what you assume is the front door opening and you freeze. It had to be Hero, Hero was home and there was a huge mess in the kitchen. You sigh, rubbing your temple, squeezing your eyes shut.

“Y/N? I’m back! I found that stuff you wanted! Hey, if I can ask, what did you need that stuff for anywa-” You refused to open your eyes when you heard him approach, but even so you could feel him staring at you, at the mess in the kitchen. He’s silent and it’s almost frightening. It feels like the whole world stopped.

After about two minutes of just standing there in pure silence with your eyes shut you finally dare to peek one open, just to look, just to see him, and see him you do. He’s standing there, not directly in front of you, considering you were standing in the middle of a huge mess but he was standing close enough. He was staring straight at you, though no emotion was present on his face, which was severely worrying. You offer him a nervous smile.

“Surprise… Heh… Heh…” Finally after his long silence he snorts, which is then followed by a laugh. You stare at him, confused. This reaction wasn’t expected at all, you had assumed that he was going to… What did you expect him to do? You knew Hero would never get mad at you over something like this, and right at this moment, he was laughing. He found the situation funny. Your smile gets bigger, happy that he seemed to be happy himself. 

When his laughing dies down he looks at you with what you would say is probably the most adoring look he’s ever given you.

“So Honey Bunny, are you going to tell me what went awry here? Or do I need to play the guessing game?” He questions with a smirk, placing the bags of groceries he carried on a clean table. 

“I was going to make something for you, I er- kinda had a slip.” You answered honestly, seeing no point in lying to him since he would probably piece it together anyway. He gives you a fake pity filled look.

“Aw, you poor thing.” He coos, finally approaching you, being mindful of the mess. When he reaches you he presses a quick kiss to your lips before pulling away, making sure not to get the contents of what was in the bowl and what was now on you onto himself. He continues to smile, not at all upset. “Why didn’t you just ask me to help you when I got back? I wouldn’t have been that long.”

“I wanted to do something nice for you. You’re always making things for me and I wanted to make something for you for once. But I think I’m seeing why you do the cooking and baking around here and not me.” You laugh nervously, and he can’t help but give you another kiss. Swiping some of the blob off of you with his finger before putting it into his mouth. 

“Wow! This actually tastes great Y/N!” He compliments. “You need to start baking for me more often!” You feel slightly flattered by the compliments, they weren’t really anything special since he complimented you all the time, but having a cook like Hero tell you that he liked your baking was amazing. 

“Thanks Lover Boy, that means lots.” You gently tap his chest with your finger, silently asking him to move which he does. You grab some cleaning supplies, bringing it over to the kitchen. Hero makes himself chuckle.

“I wish Kel was here, he would get a good laugh out of this.” You tsk in response, shaking your head slightly. 

“Yeah, bring it up everytime we see each other for the rest of our lives and laugh every single time.” You roll your eyes, imagining that cruel fate that Hero had just wished to create. He also rolls his eyes in response but he’s smirking, because he knows what you say is true. His brother would never leave you alone about this even if he’s on his deathbed. 

You were about to get cleaning when you paused suddenly, feeling Hero’s hand on top of yours. He’s standing behind you. You find it slightly amusing how he’s trying to get close to you but trying to avoid getting anything on himself. You turn your head so that you can look at him.

“What can I help you with?” You question him with a smile, and he smiles back.

“I was thinking I could clean up the mess here and you can go get yourself cleaned up. I want to hug you.” He confirms, nodding his head. You frown, he was about to help you again. He quickly kisses your forehead, taking your mind off what he was about to do. “Don’t worry about it Honey, I want to help and I can promise you that I won’t feel burdened or upset about helping.” He lets go of your hand, giving you more space. You were about to argue back that you couldn’t let him clean up your mess. But when you saw his confident smile you knew that there would be no arguing with him on this. So you listened and headed towards your shared bedroom to grab a new pair of clothes. 

When you finished you returned back to the kitchen, finding it spotless, and there he was with what you had baked. He was putting it onto a nice looking plate so that he didn’t have to leave it in the ugly looking tray. You just watched him, adoring his concentrated look, the way his brows were slightly furrowed and his teeth were grit together. He hadn’t even noticed your return.

He was washing the tray as soon as he had finished getting its contents out. You took the opportunity to sneak up behind him, snaking your arms around the man as you rested your face against him. He chuckled.

“Hey Y/N, glad you’re back in one piece and that you didn’t slip on your way out of the tub.” You can hear the smirk in his voice and you gently hit his side with your hand to show your displeasure with the statement. 

Once he’s done in the kitchen you both find yourselves on the couch, he keeps looking at you like he wants to say something, but he hesitates and doesn’t. You finally sigh and look at him with a curious look.

“What is it?” You ask, his own expression now matches your own.

“Hm?” He asks back.

“You want to say something don’t you? Why don’t you just say it?” He sits up properly so that he’s not leaning on you.

“Well, I guess I just want to say… Thank you.” He shrugs.

“Are you thanking me for the food? It turned out more burnt then I wanted it to be so you don’t have to thank me.” You sigh. 

“It did turn out burnt but you made it for me, didn’t you?” 

“Yeah, I did.”

“Then that’s what matters to me. So thank you for making something for me.” He smiles, putting his hand on your head and ruffling your hair. You now switch, you’re now the one leaning on Hero, and he glady wraps an arm around you, holding you close to him.
