It’s official; I like Jasper.

She’s clearly shown she’s going to be one of those “She’ll never admit it, but she WANTS to be his friend”-type characters. 

Also I love this “Anti-Hero” route they’re going right now. I doubt this will last but for now it looks like “Jasper’s Redemption” if off to a good start.

so i have a SU Movie theory

i just wanted to throw my two cents into the mix & say that maybe because villain looks like Jenny from my life as a teenage robot & has those lines across her face because she is a robot? powered by a gem? idk if that is even possible honestly it was just a thought. i know i’m super excited for the movie no matter what it is! i’d just love for it to be a new gem that’s also heart shaped that’d be amazingggg

SU Movie Theory! Who is the new gem?

I think it’s reasonable to assume that this character will be the movie’s villain, based on her reveal. The crystal gems are shown first, looking concerned, and then we see this ominous silhouette paired with an evil laugh.

I also think it’s reasonable to assume that the red heart gem belongs to this character, meaning she is a gem. You can see a bit of her gem stone in the image above, it’s placed on her chest.

A heart-shaped gemstone seems...unusual. Maybe even unnatural.

We’ve met gems with shaped gem stones before—Lapis and Aquamarine have teardrop-shaped gem stones. Most commonly, we’ve seen round gems and triangle gems with a few exceptions (such as Bismuth’s 3D square gem, and the Diamonds). So this heart-shaped gem seems out of place with the gem shapes we’ve seen before. It doesn’t seem a normal shape for a gem to have, since a heart isn’t just a shape, it’s also a symbol.

My theory is that this heart-shaped gem is a synthetic gem. She’s not a real gem, she wasn’t made like the other gems. She wasn’t made by the diamonds. She has no alignment with any particular side—she’s a rogue agent.

The question remains, where did she come from?

- She tried. When she told the other Diamonds she didn’t want to go through with the Colony, they told her to finish what she started. When she told the other Diamonds when she wanted to preserve life on Earth, they created the Zoo and threw a handful of Humans in. She did every she could as Pink Diamond; but her status meant nothing to Blue and Yellow.

Here’s my theory about pd’s original pearl (plus a fan design)

Short version she was a red pearl, she was made for Red Diamond. Longer version: this is assuming a diamond would take longer to make than a pearl. I believe the theory that pd was made last. The role of pearls in gem society was already established at the time pd was conceived, also assuming that diamonds are grown in the ground like all other gems. A pearl could’ve been planted AFTER pd was, timed so they would emerge together. Out pops Red Pearl, but her diamond doesn’t join her. Red Diamond over-cooks And comes out hundreds of years later too small and the wrong color. Pink diamond. But what to do with Red Pearl? The other diamonds would probably know, after enough time passed, that red diamond had stayed in long enough there was no way she would turn out “right”;. (Maybe that’s when white diamond decided to have nothing to do with her, leaving her to blue and yellow to “raise”). Do they wait until “Red” comes out, and give Red Pearl to her regardless? I don’t imagine bd and yd would be excited about an offcolor Diamond, even though it’s still a diamond! To the other diamonds, she is an offcolor first. They would eventually grow to care for Pink Diamond (but still not really show it). But before they even met her? Knowing she is going to come out wrong? They could’ve felt like She didn’t deserve her own pearl. She gained a pearl later, when she took on her own colony. That’s our pearl. I see two possible answers for the question of what to do about the Red Pearl. Shatter her or send her to work for someone else. I’d like she’s still out there somewhere
