That being said, I’m really not sure if I want to post any more art here. It’ll be gradual, I won’t be leaving immediately! I’ll start unfollowing people except for the little group that’s kept me here so long in the first place. I’ll still be reblogging fanart for a while to leave comments in tags and stuff, but I’m going to try and quiet down my presence here and move to Twitter like I should have done like a year ago

I haven’t found her very good blood gems yet so she doesn’t hit very hard, but she tries her best. She wanders around the chalice dungeons helping out any hunters she comes across

Been thinking about pre-horse Ludwig again, so here’s a few sketches with a sprinkling of headcanons ft. baby Cavalier before he became the Cavalier, teeny tiny Laurence, and badly drawn Logarius

So... can I ramble for a bit about my favourite part of Ludwig’s design?

His face is quite clearly divided in half, with the left-hand side being more ‘‘‘‘human’’’’, and the right being considerably more beastly. This extends beyond just his face, too; there’s that great big eye-mouth on the right of his neck for a start, his right forearm is covered in longer fur, and his right hand is bigger and has much longer claws. He holds his sword, the very thing that brought him back out of beasthood, in his left hand (hooray for lefty Ludwig!), and maybe it’s just me, but his left eye looks like it clears up a bit in his second phase, too.

But it’s how each half is presented in-game that I think is really cool. In his first phase, he tends to hold his head at an angle and close to the ground, so you can only really see its right-hand side - his ‘beast’ side. But then in the cutscene that plays between phases, the only side of his face that’s shown is the left side, showing that he’s human again. At the battle’s end, his head is on the ground resting right-side-up as he gives his last few lines of dialogue, before falling back into beasthood for good. In the words of our good friend Simon - the poor brute...

I was fighting some church giants the other day, and as I thought about how their outfits could be similar to what Ludwig’s looked like, I came to the very sudden realisation that I’ve never seen anyone draw him in a hat. Ever.

So here he is.
