Did anyone else name their sea bunny? I call mine Courage

yeah. long name. unfortunately since the recent update that cropped them down manually when held and out in open, it's shorter then his legal name.

I call him DD for short. my beautiful rotten baby.

You mentioned Sebastian being a germaphobe and I'm just thinking about how much that would suck while stuck in the black sight. The place probably reeks of blood and decay from all the death that goes on there. Even with Pan eating the bodies

that's the fun thing about it.

when he's scrubbing his hands so completely raw and bleeding because no matter how hard he tries he simply never manages to get the grime off from underneath his claws. when he'll look down at himself and swear there's parasites on his skin and under his scales, when he tries to relax but all he can feel is bugs crawling all over him.

it's all so disgusting, all so full of mould that no matter how much he disinfects or however tight he tries to tie the backup oxygen mask around his face, it feels like its all inevitably finding its way into his system.

he'll clean every single surface in his hideout twice before considering touching them to work at all, he's making his own bleach type disinfectant out of medical supplies and any liquid substance he can find littered around and kept from before the lockdown. the days he's given himself severe chemical burns just because he can't feel completely clean.

he keeps hurting himself over it, he can't even help it anymore. yet he'll simply keep trying.

okay imagine being his partner and his earfins instinctively wiggle at them. Like imagine someone goes "Hey there pretty boy!~" and then those ears flutter so much that you'd think they'd fly away.

you're so right.

I don't imagine he has any control over them most days, he's trained himself to be able to pin them back to hide any potential excitement or to keep them stuck forward whenever anybody is watching — the small tickle from hair or bugs that'll cause him to instinctively flick them away.

but yet he can't help the way that when you kiss his snout, when you scratch behind those ears and when he leans into it with half lidded eyes they'll lean back against his skull. he can't help the way that when he hears you coming they'll stand alert higher then they ever should.

when somebody crawls through those vents and it turns out it's not you, the way they droop so low as if he was holding his breath and hoping. everything back to normal as he flickers his esca to life and continues on with his usual welcoming speeches of anybody else.

whenever he's flustered they'll lean forward, as if he was attempting to hide his own face with little to no success rates. seeing the hue shift on his cheeks as those little fins wiggle as if to calm himself down slightly. all the better to hear you with.

he'll do his best to control himself. but even stonefaced when he's holding his tail to prevent that from wagging too, you'll see the way his ears perk up when you speak to him and it'll tell you all you need to know.

sebastians hair is unfortunately thin.

between stress from age and tugging at it from not knowing how else to cope until clumps spill from between his own fingers, even the last remaining things that stuck to him from when he was human seemed to be slipping from his grasp.

it'll grow back, it won't be his anymore. the memories held by those strands scattered to be swept away by whatever entity passes by next.

it's not like there's a change. with days he's tied it back to remove his bangs from his face when he's trying so hard to focus on reading — comparatively to hours he'd spend straightening them in front of the mirror to cover any gaps where skin might peek through.

it's almost ironic. he'd complain about wanting an undercut, it being too thick and warm to cope with in those warm summer days where the headaches gave him more then a little trouble. and now he finds himself wishing he could glue it all back on. let it be long enough to hide himself.

sit and be unsure if you're deserving to keep those memories, they're not yours to hold dear anymore.

⌕ Research Gathered - General headcanons for beach , Mentions of injuries , Potential Crab Cruelty?? Sebastian has too much energy™ , Just some regular beach activity !

- it's evident when you're pulling into the parking area, with his finger tapping against the wheel and hand oh too eagerly shifting into park — that he'd be a handful. that you hadn't forseen yourself getting out of this one without at least a bucket full of sand coated shells and rocks he'd found cool.

- the first thing he does once there is swim out as far as he can. you can barely get your towels set up and bags set down to replace your shoes with anything beach appropriate before he's halfway out to the horizon. he comes back panting and looking like a sopping wet dog.

- he'll sit cross-legged while you cover him in the sunscreen he should've had on 10 minutes ago. hands folded into his lap with a small pout to his cheeks as you lather it over his cheeks in an almost playful pattern. he'll be careful to not stare too hard once he's giving return treatment, but he can only help himself so far.

- sebastian doesn't believe in a beach without an icecream, running over to the nearest overpriced vendor or van to get you and him your favourites. being such a messy eater, getting it all over his mouth and hands. he's a little gross, so what if he dropped it in the sand? little crunch won't hurt.

- you'll watch him run back over after finding a cool shell to catch his foot in nothing at all and fall flat over onto his face. sit back up unsure whether to sniffle or laugh until his stomach hurts — sand in his mouth and hair to a degree that's almost like he'd been buried alive originally.

- speaking of shells, all he needs is a bucket and a shovel to be happy with the visit. digging holes that'll cause his hands to callous and crack combined with saltwater later on. a bucket full of cool shells and rocks he'd found that made him think of you. make sure you'd be perfectly ready to sit through explanations for each and every one.

- he's almost like a little child, so full of energy and never going anywhere on that sand without at least a half sprint. only stopping his pace if anything caught his eye.

- catches crabs and strange little fish and bugs. places them a few feet away. watches them attempt to crawl back and catches them again. he finds the way they move super silly — he'll come over to you to show all of them off, even if you tell him to put them back immediately.

- you won't be ending the trip without at least five awful injuries and miscellaneous cuts on all his forearms, legs and feet. deep enough to cause you to wince, but not deep enough to get the little grin from his face knowing the time was nothing but well spent.

- he'll help with the honor of being able to wash the sand from you and hand over the spare change of clothes so you're not too irritated on the ride back. barely bothering to properly wipe off his own feet before slipping his sandals back on. pressing a kiss to your forehead and resting a hand on your thigh as he starts the car for the ride home.
