whenever i want to get into the void state or shift, i ALWAYS
alter my nighttime routine just a bit. usually i go to bed 30 min-1hr earlier or i'll take my makeup off wayy earlier or anything that will disrupt routine so my body doesn't fall asleep immediately. this makes it easier to reach void/meditative state because you aren't too sleepy to think or affirm! i don't think there is one key to shifting, like do (this) random thing and you'll shift, but this has been SOO helpful!

i got so close to shifting last night (went a week or so without trying) when i robotic affirmed, and i went into almost-void state and then felt like i was jumping into a pool(?) or portal feet first and then i screamed my legs started twitching BAD lmaoo.. next time

I would like u to specify exactly how long u began meditating itself (not for the void but the whole act in general, as u mentioned in the first paragraph of ur answer). Like, how many months have u been practicing it for ?
i learned about shifting ~4-5 years ago and i began meditating then (pretty inconsistently) and i would sayyyy overall i have like 9 months of just trying BUT I WOULDNT GET HUNG UP ON THIS PART!! obviously the not getting distracted bit gets easier over time but i got into the void after like the second or third time trying to do that specifically (most times i would just try and shift or meditate for sleep). i really dont think the void is an experience based thing frl

hi! i have been meditating for months with no real goal which probably helped a bit (but definitely not necessary.. i saw exponential improvement recently in the past week)
ive been purposefully trying to get into the void state since around when i started this blog 2-3 weeks ago. i do it consistently every night... i dont use guided meditations anymore, they kinda helped at the beginning to get a sense of what helps my brain calm down. i now sometimes just listen to a sub and meditate with no pressure, then i affirm my body is asleep, i am void, i am, etc. and i rapidly move my eyes! (the way you would in R.E.M.)
