6 Questions to ask when you’re making a tough decision
1. What option would I choose if I knew I would definitely succeed?
2. What would I do if I didn’t feel scared?
3. Who can I talk to who’s been in my shoes?
4. What are the likely outcomes of each choice and decision?
5. What is the worst thing that could happen; what is the best thing that could happen?
6. Am I making this decision for myself, or am I choosing to please other people?

Edith Wharton’s advice on aging
“One can remain alive long past the usual date of disintegration if one is unafraid of change, insatiable in intellectual curiosity, interested in big things, and happy in small ways.”

Portishead - Wandering Star — — — Whenever I listen to my favorite music from my high school years, I wonder if there are any youths discovering those same bands for the first time right now and how they’re discovering them and what kind of rabbit holes they’re diving into. Dummy is a brilliant album.

Five years later, and I no longer feel the same way about this song. Now, I want to husband a dude who thinks that Katawaredoki from the Your Name OST is what love sounds like.
Gold Panda - Marriage
It would be pretty cool to meet/fall in love with/marry a dude who would also want this to be our “first ‘dance’” song, during which we will stand in the middle of the dance floor and mostly just do the EDM aficionado head-bob thing and some shoulder moves.

Ok but he said he was drunk in the beginning of the second live. Boy! 😑That's why everyone thinks you're drunk.

I'm a fan of BIGBANG and BTS. I understand that TOP's performance itself was meaningful. I do not think, however, that BIGBANG has or should have any proprietary rights on a visual of something that can occur in real life because a machine is malfunctioning. I am sure TOP used those visuals for a reason, but not an emotional one; I believe he used them as theatrics and for aesthetics.
What I'm getting at is why is there a need for explanation? Are VIPs worried that BTS and Co are going to get credit for using something like that as an intro to their performance? I'm sorry, but it's not groundbreaking, using that imagery. There is one possible explanation for this instance of not-actually plagiarism (and yes, I have heard that a lawyer somewhere said that TOP copyrighted the stage which, like, yea - it's on a DVD which are usually copyrighted) - the creative director for the performance saw TOP's performance somewhere and thought it was cool and lifted straight from it. That's pretty much it. If the "No Signal" thing is truly a teaser for their next concept, which is highly likely, then whoever was in charge of making the stage fit to that concept clearly could not think of anything else. This is unfortunate. So what does anyone want to happen now? To have Bighit admit to what we know?
Regarding the similarities between Feeling and Wings (which released originally in October, why bring it up now all of the sudden) - that beat is generic as hell, but it's catchy and that's why both are in my top 10 songs for each group.
Honestly, these plagiarism debates are the worst part of fandoms. A lot of kpop fans like to throw the word "plagiarism" around. A lot of ARMY are guilty of this, as well. I don't understand why everyone can't just ignore antifans/naysayers. Support your group, ignore the assholes, don't worry about who MIGHT be copying who because at the end of the day it's all derivative. And at the end of the day, VIPs and ARMY know that both of their groups were accused of plagiarism many times over, so like just STOP, ok? That goes for all y'all fandoms. Please, stop. Enough already.
here are my thoughts on the whole bts copying bigbang discord
do i think it was bts’ choice to have the ‘no signal’ thing as part of their performance? probably not, and thus i dont think we should be blaming the group themselves because, realistically, its unlikely bts have that much creative influence over what they do in performances
so no, i dont think we have a right to be angry at bts, but i do think we have a right to be angry that it happened (regardless who was responsible). VIPs are the only people (excluding those who know him personally) to even get close to understanding how much the Act Like Nothing’s Wrong stage meant to TOP. It had deep meaning for him and likely related to past mental struggles he experienced. He is a vulnerable man with a strong stage persona but decided to show some vulnerability on stage in the form of this performance. He used the ‘no signal’ screen to hide behind whilst performing to show how much it meant to him and how it affected him. It was the solo song he chose to perform as one of his last before enlistment. It was an immensely powerful moment between him and his fans on the tenth anniversary. And thats why i’m annoyed that something with such meaningful symbolism is being taken and used for aesthetic purposes.
its a shame that people have taken this misunderstanding as an excuse to have a go at each other, but i hope this helps some people understand why some of us are quite upset at this

Jimmy Eat World - What Would I Say to You Now
More than anything, I hope there are people out there discovering old songs by Jimmy Eat World. And I hope their music does the same thing for these people as it did (and still does) for me. I hope they have these songs blasting from the car stereos with the windows down and singing along at the top of their lungs. That scene is cliched, maybe, but honestly - there is nothing else like it.
