A Lifetime
My mind tangled with what ifs; cursed to forever imagine a lifetime with you. I wish I were brave enough to cut the uncertainty between us. I wish you were confident enough to make a move. I thought burying the feeling would make it disappear. Instead, it grew. A root so deep that even the years of time won't do. Even as seasons change, I know I'd still fall back to you.

Lost
“This was a bad idea,” Cody said, pacing through the undergrowth, “I knew we’d get lost.”
“Hush,” Felix said, holding up a hand for silence. “I’ve got a plan.”
Cody paused, realizing for the first time that Felix was crouched down with his ear pressed to a tree. “What are you doing?”
Felix whispered, “I’m listening.”
Cody looked up at the tree, heard the sound of rustling leaves and squawking birds. “Listening to what?”
Felix rolled his eyes, exasperated. “The woods,” he said. “It’ll tell us where we are.”
“That’s your plan?” Exasperated, Cody tromped off to see if he could see anything on the other side of the hill.
Felix waited. A whisper on the wind. “Hey.”
Looking around, Felix saw nothing but trees. “Huh?”
“Hey,” the voice repeated. “Bro.”
“Me?” Felix said excitedly. "You’re talking to me?“
"Yeah man. I’ve got a message for you.”
“Yes,” Felix cheered in a whisper, pumping his fist. “I knew it! What’s the message?”
And the forest told him, “Your inability to accept your flaws is inhibiting your ability to grow.”
“W-what?”
“And bro, you’ll always be lost until you find yourself.”
Felix sighed. “Last time I ask a tree for advice.”

Story 3
Katie stood in her classroom as the world change around her without any warning. She stayed up late all week to study; determined to ace the math test. Now her efforts are for nothing. She's more upset about the test rather than the fact that the world is coming to an end.
"Well that's life." she chuckled to herself. "You came in for a test, instead the world gives you an apocalypse."
"Kinda sucks, huh?" replied her classmate.
"What sucks is that you don't have a week to prepare for this crap."

Story 2
Edward bursted through the rooftop door dragging Kyle behind. Both were panting after running five flight of stairs.
"What the hell, Edward?!" said Kyle as he dropped to the floor to catch his breath.
"Look"
Kyle looked up and was astounded to what his eyes witnessed, instantly removing the exhaustion. He stood up to stand beside Edward. The horizon painted a new colour. They had spent every sunset at the rooftop whenever they can but they had never seen the horizon with this colour before.
"It feels like it's angry." Kyle commented.
Edward nodded in agreement with a worried face. He could feel the beautiful colour devouring the horizon. "So this is what the panic is about huh."
Kyle grabbed Edward's hand and smiled at him.
Next thing they knew, a gust of heat struck their face.

in the end i believe scientists
are hopeless romantics
disperate in love with the idea
that the world makes sense.
scientists have broken hearts
and by combining toxic
elements and reading the
stars, they are able to write
poetry.

Story 1
I was there when vibrations spread across the nation. Thinking about the horrendous sound still makes people cower in horror as they recall the day when the skies turned to gray. As a drop of sun fell to Earth forever changing the world.
