Things That I Wish Were in the Harry Potter Movies That were in the Books - Part 2 *Spoilers*
In the second Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets there were a few scenes that I wish were put in the movies. First scene being the degnoming of the garden. Honestly, the reason why I would want this scene in the movie is just to see them throw some gnomes, because I feel like it would definitely brought another comedic element to the film. Another moment is the moment Harry has to go to Filch’s office, and he finds a letter that Filch is trying to learn magic. We also find out in this moment that he is a squib. I think it would of been interesting to see what Filch’s office would look like, and actually see Harry learning something about Filch that he was trying to keep hidden. Another thing that we see in the book has something to do with Nearly Headless Nick or Sir Nicholas. This would be his death day party. Now I know this would probably be a little bit hard to do for a movie screen, but this was an interesting scene to show case the ghost, which even though they are throughout the book they aren’t really shown that much in the movies themselves.
Is there any scenes from the book that you would of like to have seen let me know!

Book Review for A Court of Roses and Thorns by Sarah J. Maas
Tumblr media
A Court of Roses and Thorns is written by Sarah J. Maas. She has also written the Throne of Glass (which I haven’t read yet, but it is on my list), and Cresent City (I started listening to this as an audiobook and like it so far but stop listening because I felt like I would enjoy it more if I was reading the physical copy). This is an adult fantasy novel.
The story follows a girl name Feyre, she goes out into the woods to hunt in order for her family to get food. Out there she kills a wolf, but it turns out that the wolf was actually a Fae. Feyre gets taken to the Fae lands where she must now stay, which she also knows very little about other then the legends she’s heard. She soon learn that the legends were wrong, and begins to enjoy her life there. But there is something going on in the Fae lands, something dark, and Feyre must find a way to stop it, or else everything she knows and loves is doomed.
This book gave me Beauty and the Beast vibes automatically, which as I have said in a previous post, Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairy tale. But that wasn’t all. I also got some Hades and Persephone, and also I saw a little bit of Cinderella mixed, which I thought added an interesting touch. I really enjoyed this book a lot, but it also made me wonder about how things will go in the next books, especially in the last few chapters. I am currently reading the next book A Court of Mist and Fury, and I’m interested to see what happens.

Book Review for Gallant by V.E. Schwab
Tumblr media
Hello! I took a little bit of a hiatus due to the holidays and other stuff, but now I am back. This post is going to be about the book Gallant by V.E. Schwab. After i had read what the book was about, I was really interested in it and once I picked it up I couldn’t put it down.
This is a fantasy/horror/paranormal novel. It’s about a girl named Olivia Prior, who had lived most of her life at Merilance School for girls, and the only thing she has from any of her family is a journal that was her mother’s.  She gets a letter from a place called Gallant telling her to come home. Now there are a couple of issues with the letter, 1. Gallant is the place that her mother wrote in her journal to never go to and 2. No one at Gallant sent that letter. She goes to Gallant and discovers there is a secret about the place, mainly involving the wall in the garden. There is another Gallant, but a shadow version, with a Master of the House and he will do anything to get out.
This was definitely a book I could not put down. I know the saying goes “don’t judge a book by it cover”, but with this book I really loved how the cover art was done, and then read the back and was like “this sounds really good I’m going to read it.” I’m really glad I did. I will say some parts were a bit slow, but once I got into it, I wanted to know what happened next.

Book Review for Delirium Trilogy by Lauren Oliver
Tumblr media
The Delirium Trilogy is written by Lauren Oliver and it’s a book series about what could happen if love was considered a disease. These books are dystopian fiction and are definitely an interesting read.
The story is about a girl named Lena, who lives in a world where love is considered a disease. On her 18th birthday she is schedule to get a surgery that will cure her. She is ready for that, and ready for the life that has been chosen for her. But, when she meets a boy names Alex, she starts to realize that she might not want that life anymore.
I’ll start off by saying that this book is written really well, I love the relationships between some of the characters, and there were definitely surprises that I was not expecting. Now I’ll be honest here, I am a little 50/50 with these books. While I did really enjoy it, but the author did something different with a part of the book. Now that part kind of left me unsatisfied with/it left me with a feeling of wanting more. But, I think because of that part, it has also giving me something to think about, and also brings these books back to mind every now and again. After reading these books I can really see why she did it, because it goes along with what the books are about or the underlining message of the books. I really do recommend them, because they will leave you thinking.

Book Review for Red Winter Trilogy by Annette Marie
Tumblr media
The Red Winter trilogy is written by Annette Marie. if you like Inuyasha or Kamisama Kiss this is definitely a book for you. This is a story involves Japanese Mythology with slow burn romance mixed in.
The story is about a girl named Emi, and she was chosen to be a vessel for a goddess, but when she saves a kitsune name Shiro who ends up in her debt her world turns upside down. Her and Shiro go on an adventure for to search for answers.
I honestly love these books. I love the way this author wrote this book. There is so much character development that goes on, and the relationship between the characters is amazing as well. I will say these books really did make me cry in some areas, I definitely had to put it down a couple of times just to collect myself. Also, the art in these book is beautifully done throughout. It really gives a nice visual to the books. There is definitely more I could say about these books, but if I say too much more, I’ll probably end up spoiling things on accident and I definitely don’t want to do that for people who are interested in reading these books.
