Okokok, wait, random thought. I was going through the new Welcome Home update and on the front page Wally is written in Red. And both Wally and Home’s signatures are Red at the bottom of the Guest Book Page. Is this a reference to House of Leaves and how every iteration of the word House in the novel is written in Blue? Did someone point this out? Am I over thinking? Idk but I just had this thought, blew my own mind, and had no one to talk to about it. (Clasping grasping praying for this to dip into eldritch horror)

Also, side note, has anyone else been noticing a strange emphasis on mothers (lack of fathers)

Ok so after like three years I finally finished Gotham and now I am being consumed by everything Riddler. He’s my personality now and I will be obsessing over him for the foreseeable future. Is he a mass murderer and a mad man who throws old ladies out of windows and has killed/tried to kill EVERY love interest he’s ever had? Yes, absolutely, but like…look at him. Little riddle man. Little manipulative nerd. Little pop quiz whiz. I want to keep him in my basement but due to the state I live in this is not possible and anything kept in the attic will melt.

I can not emphasize how excited I am for Neil content in Graywaren. Not the biased rose tinted memories of Ronan or the bitter perspective of Declan. Neil as he truly and absolutely was because he may have been a bastard and a loser but I would argue whole heartedly he was the true Beginning. Because you CAN start the story anywhere really. You can start it with the murder of a kid, the unfair death of a child, the women who play with time like bath water, the man who murdered a father and grows to regret it. But you SHOULD start the story with Neil Lynch. Because without Neil there would be no Ronan, without Ronan there would be no Cabeswater, and with no Cabeswater there would be no bargain that changes Adam, perhaps even Noah would have survived if he and Barrington never found the magical forest, with Noah surviving he wouldn’t have been there on the lay-line dying when he should not saving Gansey, without Gansey the gang would have never met, he would never have met Blue and asked her out on Adam’s behalf, Blue would never kiss him in order to kill him, because Ronan wouldn’t be unmade from the demon, for the demon would still sleep because Piper never came down with Greenmantle, Greenmantle wouldn’t have come down because the Grayman wouldn’t have been looking for the Graywaren, a name he only knows because of Neil fuckin Lynch. The absolute bastard. Depending on where you began the story, it’s about the consequences caused by a man who built his life on dreams.

I like horror and have read books about serial killers raping cadavers and other fellow serial killers, boys being infested with worms as they stabbed a turtle and leave it to bleed out because they couldn’t stomach giving it a quick death, a boy who fucks his groomer werewolf childhood best friend, and a man that groped the tits of his dead mother (tho in his defense he didn’t exactly know she was his mom at the time), and I was not phased. Nothing got through, but a doctor once called my infusion sites “juicy” and I will forever be haunted by that.

If I had a nickel for every time I saw/watched a form of media with an emotionally abusive/absent father who created the western ideal version of a perfect house wife off of a beautiful blonde from a past relationship that ended and said ideal woman is ripped of all her autonomy in universe due to the nature of her creation and who’s children view of her rest on the spectrum of her being a sentient woman with her own soul to her being just an item designed to love them but still being emotionally attached to her anyways since she still raised them despite the questionability of her cognizance I would have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice.
