…in which I discover that it is very difficult to take a good picture of an active volcano with a lowly camera phone. Man, that glow, though.

Man, what I wouldn’t give for a little alpine lake action these days. Reminiscing about our last trip to Rocky Mountain.

Covid has made it harder for us to travel to the National Parks, but it’s also reminded us that we’ve got some beautiful public lands and open spaces right in our own back yard. They may not be quite as majestic as mountains and oceans, but these days the one hour drive to these beautiful woods feels almost as freeing as an interstate road trip. On this night, the clouds finally broke and the sunset peeked through just as we were about to head home. A beautiful, quiet moment, and the tiniest remembrance of the Before Times.
