I hope I’m not going to be the guy stating the obvious here, but I have been looking into a couple of things loosely connected to this, so I thought it might potentially be worth adding a few things I found?
(Firstly, as a bit of a side note, I’m currently away on vacation, which means I do not have access to both my extensive notes on every tmagp episode nor my laptop, so I’m significantly less able to do any proper research, I’ve just been craving theorising at a very unfortunate time once again)
This post led me to looking into a bunch of things about alchemical processes (shame on me for neglecting that until now, I know). The post I linked mentions the 14 alchemical processes by Samuel Norton, however the original creation of the Magnum Opus contained 4; nigredo, albedo, citrinitas and rubedo. I wont go into every single one of my thoughts on this in particular, as it’s largely unrelated, BUT. Carl Jung was very into alchemy, and also used it in the context of psychology, including these 4 stages. According to Jung’s interpretation of these stages:
nigredo (blackening) represents the external (hehe) world, the ego and chaos;
albedo (whitening) represents a purification, where the person is able to gain a deeper understanding of the external and ego;
citrinitas (yellowing) represents an enlightenment of sorts, in which the person is able to detach themselves from external and ego, and focus inwards instead;
the final stage, rubedo (reddening, note the tmagp logo being red), represents the becoming of the self as a result of detaching from the external and ego.
Due to my current limitations, I’ve summarised quite a lot, so anyone willing to expand or correct me on any of this, please do!
Back to transference! (sort of) The here and now mentioned in the wikipedia page is an idea by Otto Rank, who also wrote Der Doppelgänger, which I have been meaning to read for over a year now, and I swear I’ll get to it someday (from what I understand, there is significant overlap between Freud’s transference and Rank’s doppelganger, but please correct me if I’m wrong here!), but it does mean I don’t have as much to add to this aside from the fact that doppelgangers are a concept that has shown up across tmagp multiple times, and that I haven’t seen nearly as many people mention this book as I have seen Das Unheimliche being mentioned when it comes to theories.

Fabric market has occurred. I have spent 173,50 euros on supplies, and I haven't even even bought some of the things I can buy elsewhere yet (mostly buttons, lace, ribbons, etc). This may be my most expensive project yet lol
There isn't a proper fabric store anywhere near my house, so i only get to sew stuff from scratch whenever 1) I get really really lucky in my thrift rounds, or 2) there's a fabric market in the city, which happens about once every year. I've been wanting to make a mid 1890s ensemble for quite sometime, but I never got to it due to the fact thrifted fabrics aren't available in the amounts I'd need of it, and last year the fabric market fell on a day on which I was quite busy, so I wasn't able to go. Apparently there'll be a fabric market on the next Monday though! Which means that I'm going to actually need to get a decent idea of what I want my thing to look like to gauge what fabrics and how much of it I'll need, all the while I'm supposed to be studying for my finals, but I'm sure it'll be okay! Past that I will be saving the rest of this project for after my finals though, I need a big project to keep me sane once I don't have school to do that job for me anymore!

I know that this is such a dumb thing to even have to admit to on the reblog site of all things, but I have a weird irrational fear of reblogging stuff

I have a very unhealthy love/hate relationship with doing historical research for character design, if anyone knows any sculptures made in a period relevant for 1192-1197, please let me know, thanks! CHARTRES IS LITERALLY JUST OUTSIDE OF MY WINDOW HERE BOTH TIMES THEY HAD THE MAJORITY OF ITS SCULPTURES MADE AND IT IS PISSING ME OFF

What if I started posting stuff again except it probably wouldn’t be typology related since I don't have the time and interest I used to have for it anymore? What would happen then??

What’s the difference between sx6 and sx4, since they’re both aggressive types?
The most important distinction here is *why* these types are aggressive types. Both are counter types, so aggression is a way in which they counter their passion, the sx4 is aggressive out of envy while the sx6 is aggressive out of fear. Besides that I would recommend just reading the bit in “The Complete Enneagram” by Beatrice Chestnut on page 415-416, because if I would add more I would probably subconsciously repeat the entire paragraph due to the amount of times I've read it. It is a comparison of the general types, but as I said, that is the basis of their aggression, so it's what you should focus on to distinguish them.

Can a isfp be E8?
No. Reading through the e8 chapter of Naranjo’s Character and Neurosis, it almost immediately becomes clear that this type contradicts very heavily to rational types like ISFP. I highly recommend going through this chapter in your own time, but in short: e8 is a very sensory-motor dominant type, this means that their primary focus is with the concrete, present, and external, as opposed to an Fi leading type, who is going to pay more attention to their internal reactions to particular information. Even with Se second, it’s just not going to be as prevalent.

hello, i'm quite sure i'm an ILI IN(T) since i relate to being irrational, dynamic, Ni base, Fe polr. but my friend thinks of the possibility of me being an LII IT(N), so i want you insight on this. the only thing i relate to in LII is Ti, i lack Ne and don't see the point in using it. could i be NiTi? how would it look like with creative Te?
another question, i'm an sp/so 5w4 594, sp5 is way too relatable and lately i've been trying to figure out my PY type but nothing makes sense for sp5. 3E and 4V is 100% relatable but 2F is questionable for sp5, and 1L is relatable, 2L too but i'm not that open to discussions and changing my opinions through them, if i want to reflect on an opinion and requestion it i just do it alone. 1F⁴ makes sense to me but i can't and will never relate to the general idea of 1F, i even look like a 4F with how neglectful of food and detached from reality i am to people but i see my physics as agressive and result. as an sp5, i can't grasp the second placement, i'm reluctant to sharing anything and irl i'm always away from people so i don't really discuss anything with them, online the only thing i discuss with my friends is my interests. could sp5 be typeless in PY?
Firstly, I am so sorry, but I just dont think I have enough information on you as a person to be able to determine this about you. Based purely on the information you've given me, I’m inclined to say ILI IN(T), purely because that is what you yourself have already familiarised yourself with. You could totally be NiTi, but that’s just not for me to tell you on a whim.
Lastly, maybe my knowledge is a bit outdated here, so do tell me what the arguments are for this, but I don't see why LFEV wouldn't be compatible with sp5? Even if it were, I don't think you should have to be doing crazy mental gymnastics to make your typology 100% compatible. Personally I tend to go by the rule of ‘can you explain this combination without making it sound like a completely different type’, and I'm very certain sp5 LFEV passes that test. You can obviously always opt out and be typeless in PY, but if this is the only reason as to why you would, I don't think you should worry about it too much :)

hello there, i come for your wisdom once again🙂‍↕️
I found 548 sx/sp very fitting for me at the moment. but i still cant beat my way around my MBTI/socionics. my Fi is a lot stronger than my Te. but im sure im a Ni dom in all systems. and im 90% sure Im on the Te-Fi axis. I would like to delve on the possibility of being an INFJ NiFi like you. so could you tell me what theories support this model, and how is it supposed to look like overall? i didnt find anything about it in socionics except for the subtypes which arent very elaborated. but i personally think that ILI-3Ni should equal NiFi. I'd like to hear your opinion!
You’d have to go more into Jung. Myers Briggs purely used Grant stacks, so adhering to her theory, IIEE/EEII stacks don't exist in mbti. The way I, like most people I've seen, understand Jung's theory in this specific regard is that the introversion or extraversion of the auxiliary function simply doesn't matter; it is just a support to the dominant function. You can also see this in the way Jungian types are formatted, which in this case would be IN(F), though people do often like adding the extraversion or introversion of their aux. Just because it isn't as important doesn’t mean it doesn't exist. I highly highly recommend reading Carl Jung’s Psychological Types for this because it's just a more direct source of information, but that's the gist of it according to my own understanding. As for how this model looks is fairly simple, you are essentially just switching the intro- and extraversion of the grant stack, so in the case of INFJ that would be Ni>Fi>Te>Se.
In general I do believe the Jung type should match up with the socionics type, so in that aspect I would recommend looking at IEI. Though frankly this is something I've questioned before in the same regard, so I suggest critically comparing both types yourself. Adding subtypes here can either work out perfectly or have the opposite effect where you might try to justify typing as one type due to all the ‘but’-s on top (this goes either way). If ILI seems to work for you, that is absolutely perfect!

How do you tell the difference between an INFJ 514 and 512? I'm having a hard time figuring out if I really am a 2 fix or if it's just Fe, since I also relate to 4 😭 any help would be appreciated, thank uu <3
I’m going on the assumption youre talking about trifix as opposed to tritype; if this isn’t the case, I'm really sorry!
So the fixation for e4 and e2 are melancholy and flattery respectively. Melancholy (e4) here focuses on the internal experience of their feelings and a genuine, albeit sometimes exaggerated, expression of these feelings. This exaggeration isn't a play on others as much as it is for themselves in order to escape mundanity.  Flattery (e2) on the other hand does focus on the feelings of those around them, thus suppressing their own. Similar to melancholy, they might exaggerate things, but they do this to gain another’s approval. Avoidance of their own feelings often makes their relationships with others, while generally positive, quite shallow.

Hello! I've been on a confusing journey with MBTI so i want some insights. my first typing was INFP 468 sp/so. but after some searching and especially reading the functions descriptions from socionics, I typed myself as INTJ. im quite confident of both my MBTI, enneagram and IV , although i MIGHT be a jumper type Ni-Fi. are INTJ and sp4 compatible? if not, what are some enneagrams that i should look more into?
also your enneagram summeries are amazing!!
Firstly, thank you so much! It genuinely means a lot to me that my weird little summaries are actually a help to people!
Secondly, I have talked about my thoughts on concepts like grips, loops and jumpers in more detail on here before (if I haven’t, remind me to do that), so I'll try my best to keep it somewhat short! Jumpers are not a thing ever discussed in any of the ‘official’ theory material, by official theory material I mostly refer to Gifts differing by Myers Briggs (regardless of the fact I very much dislike this book) and Psychological Types by Carl Jung. Jung (as a system) cares very little for the introversion or extraversion of the auxiliary function, whereas Myers Briggs doesn’t believe in IIEE or EEII stacks at all. This is one one of the many areas in which I prefer Jung. This essentially means that if your auxiliary function is feeling, your type is going to be INFJ, not an INTJ jumper. Should this be the case, sp4 would very much be compatible. If you end up sticking with INTJ it would not, in this case i would recommend looking into sx5 or sp5.
That being said though, I obviously cannot tell you what to do and what to believe, these are my personal thoughts and insights, and at the end of the day the thing that matters most is that you’re learning about yourself!

What do those numbers beside LEFV mean
They're subtypes! pretty sure they're mostly a thing in AP and I don't take them too seriously. If you're interested you should be able to find more on pdbwiki, although I did have a pdf on it I can no longer find :( If anyone's got any better sources, do let me know!

Hello, I've seen lots of people type this way and it really confuses me: they'll have their enneagram with wing e.g. 7w8, but then their tritype beginning with a different enneagram e.g. 953. How can this be??
It can't, this is a misinterpretation of the theory, likely by only just starting to get into typology and using simplified sources such as truity or enneagram institute. These sources are often vague about the functions of wings and their importance, leading people to typing their core type with the wing in mind, and their tritype based solely on whichever type description they relate to most. Though if 7w6 with the tritype 953 is a reference to an actual type you've seen, I don't know how they got to this conclusion to be honest. it might be because of a description of this specific tritype as a whole.  Regardless of why, enneagram doesn't work like that. People typing themselves in this way likely do so because they just haven't found the right sources, which is fair because it can take quite some looking around. Personally I do try to point it out whenever I see this, but do make sure to go about it respectfully!
