Skystar angst incoming!

So Starscream and Skyfire find each other very early on, and they're absolutely a phenomenal couple. True soulmates that do everything together... until the accident on Earth leaves Skyfire trapped in ice and Starscream is left mourning. When Skyfire is revived millions of years later, in the middle of a war, he's just happy to see that his soulmate is alive... but something's off, different about him. Starscream is worn, cold, and paranoid of anything and everything around him. What really breaks Skyfire is how quick Starscream is to violence, how he seems to delight in it far more than he ever did in any scientific venture.

It's not the same Starscream, it's not his soulmate. Skyfire gets hurt and decides to join the Autobots. He ends up fancying an Autobot that lost his soulmate long before he met them, Bumblebee. The two wind up in a relationship after Megatron and Optimus end up having peace talks, Starscream has to do time for his crimes and gets to reflect on how he treated Skyfire. Once he gets out, he seeks Skyfire out to apologize... but he sees how happy Skyfire is with Bumblebee that he ends up leaving before he can say anything. He's already self-loathing about how he ruined a good thing he had with his soulmate. To his shock, it's Shockwave himself that comes to check on him, sitting beside him to admit that he knows what it's like to ruin something as precious as a soulmate. He'd been Optimus' soulmate back when he was a senator, he'd broken the bond after suffering Empurata and thus lost Optimus forever. "Why are you telling me this?" Starscream asked, his optics narrowed to scrutinize every part of Shockwave's form as the cyclops replied. "Simply put, we've both made irreparable damage to those fate destined we'd love... and we may always love them... but now it seems perhaps fate made it so we can be miserable together." Shockwave replied, catching Starscream off with the earnest response. The seeker lingered on the idea for a little longer. "Miserable together hm..?" He mumbled, contemplating for a little longer before he leaned against Shockwave's shoulder and stared off into the slowly repairing skyline of their home before finally replying "It'll do.."

I love himmm and Soundwave's little 'liar' on his visor, just ready to snitch on Starscream at the first chance

Sorry there's been no art from me, I've been struggling a little with my mental health and motivation. The chapters for my fic are still coming out and my writing is still working, but I'm not currently making anything new in terms of my artwork. I'm deeply sorry and hope that my upcoming appointments will aid in figuring out what is going on in my head and hopefully finding treatment for it.

Hello!

First I would like to say how much I love your current story. The themes are very similar to what I had in mind while watching Prime, but it just wasn't meant to be written by me, so seeing someone else thinking like this is a treat! We need more of this disaster former-enemies-turned-"it's complicated" duo and their giant children. Plus your style is really unique. Overall your fanfic is one of my favorites and became some sort of confort after a long week. Thank you for everything.

One thing however got me wondering: is Skyfire truly dead? Like not "he seems dead, however...", but rather "he's gone and there is no way of bringing him back" Is Starscream looking for corpse to bury or bot in hibernation? This is really important to be because I seen a lot and I mean a LOT of stories when the author was basically death-bating just to reveal that they're still alive waisting potential for characters learning how to live with grief & still be happy. By this I do not mean to critique or push you into anything, just asking out of confusion.

Hello to you too! Thank you for liking my story! I made this out of a love and frustration towards a series that I've deeply cherished for years in my life. I'm glad my writing style is enjoyable to others and can provide comfort as well, it warms my soul! As for your question on Skyfire, the answer is no. I am not death-baiting Skyfire, I really want this to be a fic where Starscream can feel his feelings. No shame to other authors that do this, but I have a preference to keep Skyfire dead in my story. I'm sorry if it wasn't as clear as I thought it was, it's one of my weaknesses as a writer that I hope to improve with my future works. So I had this question posed to me in my current fic… what does Starscream look like in his new frame?

I’m gonna admit something, originally it was going to be the frame you see in the RiD sequel… but I low-key didn’t like drawing it and it made me frustrated. So I went with a design that I would enjoy drawing. This is that result! Closely resembles the version of Starscream that I’ve designed myself sans the nose I usually give him because this is TFP no nose rules haha!
