[Image ID: A Doctor Who version of the Destiel confession meme. It shows Rose Tyler tearfully saying 'I love you' to the Doctor on Bad Wolf Bay in the episode Doomsday. Under that is a screenshot of the Doctor from the same scene, his answer is 'I regenerated into you'. /End ID]
I am sorry, but I just had to do this.

Personally I don’t think Billie is the doctor, or if she is it won’t be for long. I think David will return for a smaller part and seeing Rose’s face, (confessing?) will help him finalize his healing and end the bi-generation to return as one.
Remember he could not admit in the 60th that he loved rose, yet 15 could. Either they don’t have a new doctor cast, or maybe 14 would turn into a newer full Ncuti?
But I don’t think it’s nolstagia bait, RTD has always left breadcrumbs of Rose and I think he planned to give the doctor closure from the start. I’m excited but I am a little scared they will mess up Rose’s send off.
Also, I’ve seen a lot of people criticize how short Ncuti’s era was but we have to think that he is in the height of his career right now and he may want to jump into some more serious projects.

Also, people are asking why the rani said that time lords are barren, and how could they be if Susan exists
From the way I understand it without looking it up, I remember a looong time ago going on Doctor Who wiki and learning about gallifrey lore. But I think before gallifreyans started medaling with time, there were witchy soothsayer ladies (forgot their names, they were in some recent doctor who episodes, sorry) that basically ruled gallifrey in the dark ages. But then when Rassilon and Omega started changing things, and time lords became a thing, the witches left to another planet and then I think one of them cursed the time lords with an inability to reproduce. Buuuut, they did come up with a way to sort of reproduce, which was a process called Looming. It was some sort of machine mechanism that by using DNA , they could do it I guess.
But of course these are in some of the books and not in actual episodes so I think they're trying to change this.
Although the rani is right that they can't sexually reproduce, it's just another form of reproduction. However, since gallifrey is gone, then the looms are also gone, so any time lords left now can't do it.
I guess without the Looming being canon, it could also be possible if the doctor sexually reproduced with someone, and the child grew up and sexually reproduced with someone all before the curse or "genetic explosion" that they talk about now. And the Doctor is extremely old so I wouldn't be surprised if he had a very different life before time lords were supreme. And even though the doctor may have been the first timelord (because timeless child plot), that doesn't mean that he/she/they couldn't reproduce before said explosion.
Honestly, anything is possible in Doctor Who because with such a long history, it can contradict itself a lot. Maybe in twenty years time, they'll say that time lords were most fertile beings in the universe.

What's funny is I was almost gaslit into thinking that throughout this whole season, Belinda actually mentioned her child Poppy and I was like "oh, she said that and I missed it?" But then I read somewhere that her past got changed and then I was like "oooh okay that's why I missed it because it DIDN'T ACTUALLY HAPPEN.
Also, Billie Piper? What? Idk how I feel. Half of me is happy to see her, but the other half is pissed at the conditions in which she is here because this season was not good from a writing standpoint I expected better from RTD. I also think it could be the BBC and Disney and all these companies demanding something in a short amount of time that in turn makes the writing shitty, but still, if you're gonna make the show, make sure the writing makes sense and you have the tiiiiime!

I want to thank Ncuti for all that he’s done as the doctor, he brought love, light and vulnerability. He’s the first black openly gay doctor. He’s beautiful. He’ll be my favourite for a while. He’ll never be forgotten. The doctor who loved wholeheartedly

For what its worth, i wouldnt have watched esc if i hadnt been invited to a watch party w friends i wanted to reconnect with. With the whole israel thing its... lost quite a bit of its heart, to say the absolute least.
But if israel wouldve won? I wonder if that woildnt have spelt disaster for next year. Broadcasters wouldve boycotted, too, and the protests wouldve been unavoidable and unignorable. Im glad Austria saved us, but I wonder if Israel winning because of the ad campaign couldve been the straw that finally broke the camels back.
Well. Still. In these uncertain times, at least eurovision is still in place, one way or another. Congratulations to Austria, and my apologies to Tommy. If only we has given a single point more to you king... baltics need to stay together (bcs even jury isnt voting politically right? Lol)

I've read what some people have said and I didn't see it necessarily as a pro Eurovision episode
But it also wasn't an anti Eurovision episode
I think anyone who watches the news and the scrutiny that Eurovision is faced with Israel participating, knows what this episode is about.
I don't really know if it was actually done well or not, but sometimes I think maybe it was?
ISC is ESC. Poppy honey is Moroccan oil. Moroccan oil is essentially an Israeli company. Hellians are Palestinians. I'm thinking that the Kid and his accomplice represent Hamas? Which, again idk if that was the intention but It might not have been a good move, or I could be overthinking that. Some have said that it would have been better if the doctor actually knew why they were doing what they were trying to do, so that maybe the doctor would go after the honey poppy corporation for destroying their home and tell off ISC for having Poppy honey as their sponsor. But instead, he just sees the kid as an aggressor and doesn't know the whole story because he didn't get that part.
But also, on the other hand, we have to take into consideration that if this is a paralleled story, then in some way it sort of has to be told in truth to what is happening in the real world right now. And right now not everyone is getting the whole story about Palestine and just hear about the aggression from Hamas. Like Hellians, Palestinians have had to hide their identity and erase their culture because there are people that want them dead. We don't get a satisfying resolution, because there isn't one now. All we get is a song because in the real world, nobody with the right amount of power has really done anything to stop this genocide from happening. I was haunted by what I saw
Maybe it was RTD's plan to make you think about the events going on now, because it's pretty obvious, and make you question why that ending happened the way it did, and make you feel angry about why the doctor just made it worse and ignore the bigger problem. Or maybe I'm convincing myself that he wasn't trying to make the ending more pro Israel friendly, idk. But I do think that we at least got to hear the Hellians point of view and they weren't completely vilified. So I think RTD sees that the way that Palestinians are treated is a problem.
Also the Susan thing was cool to see, but the rani thing, didn't really wow me. I was like, oh okay, well that's solved then. Cool.

Ok wait so I've seen lots of people complaining about the new episode and while I get some of the criticism, I think it could have been fixed with three changes, one structural and two scripted:
Have the story of the Hellions be told WHILE the Doctor was torturing Kid - have the two scenes be interspersed. I think a lot of the misunderstanding of the episode comes down to the fact that people don't realise (because of how the episode was structured) that the Doctor did not know Kid's motivation. Having him mention Gallifrey really struck that home, and I think re-ordering these scenes would have cleared that up a LOT.
Have Belinda physically take a step back when the Doctor moves towards her. She's so uneasy with him ANYWAY that her immediate trust (especially after the line "that's not... him") felt wrong. Have her hesitate and recoil and yell at him WHY Kid did what he did. And have the Doctor actually react to that.
Have a scene at the end where they actually discuss this. That it's NOT fair that Cora just gets to sing, and doesn't get her home back. That it's frustrating that the corporation gets away with it all. A scene where Belinda confronts the Doctor and has his swear to never, ever act like that again. He swears. He's lying, we know he is, rule one: the Doctor lies. But actually addressing this moment would have cleared a lot of things up, I think.
I just think that's it's such SMALL changes that would have cleared up like 90% of the criticism I've seen, and a lot of it comes down to things just being glossed over, or being too subtle to pick up on, or even just confusion within the audience (with point 1). It was still clumsily handled, but I get what they were saying and where they were coming from, and I think that just a few small changes could have made all the difference. Plus, having Belinda have yet another reason to mistrust the Doctor would be perfect for her character, especially with Susan also begging him to stop, and him ignoring her. Which, by the way, tore my heart out. I didn't need my heart anyway. *distant sobbing* SHE SAID THE THING SHE QUOTED ONE'S "ONE DAY, I SHALL COME BACK"
Anyway I might be wrong. I need to rewatch it. But that's just my take.
Oh, and also not dealing with censorship would probably have made A LOT of difference.

The political message was delivered pretty poorly in this episode too i think but in a much worse way than in lucky day. Having the fight back against the corporation moment just be a character singing to raise awareness instead of seeing any actual action was kind of a shit ending for the planet genocide plot. I don’t think the ending had any actual malice in it but its sort of especially shitty when you consider the yk 💀 actual fucking genocide happening
And the doctor was especially out of character. Punishing the guy like sure but him completely ignoring the corporate genocide is not something that mf would do. Looking at any episode from other eras he’d be taking that corporation DOWN. So yeah the writing was shit.

“they took the seeds and burned the fields so we could never grow it back.”
almost like…a certain ‘country’ burning olive trees to steal the land and paint its people as terrorists when they are the ones massacring innocents.

Really spent twenty years theorising that every female character in Doctor Who was secretly Susan or the Rani for them both to turn up in the same episode - one of them twice.
