Here's a thingy I drew for a contest over at TLKFAA that consists of converting canon characters from The Lion King franchise into sparkle characters.

Chose Makini from The Lion Guard as my guinea pig cuz, I dunno, her personality & overall design seemed to work for such a drastic change lol (Plus monkes are more unique than loins & yeens)

DeviantARTAI sucks dirt & hair-coated lollipops, now. (At least way more than usual.) The site is a complete husk of its former-self, selling out by bootlicking AI, NFTs & all that garbage. So I wiped my entire gallery by putting everything into storage instead of straight up deleting everything & deactivating my account... Just in case things get better there. Don't worry, I got more jokes like that one!

So a big part of my life is now over. But you know the saying:

"When a chapter ends, another one begins."

This saying couldn't be more accurate in this specific case. While my story ended with DeviantART, its begun anew with Sheezy.Art!

Made a new account there after deleting the previous one when the site was shutting down, but now it's back in business, baby! :D

Got a REALLY good impression of this place so far, it's fairly active and I'd definitely recommend giving it a try as well! Just know that it's excrutiatingly hard to sign up for free, because every seven hours, there's 10 slots that come & go by in the blink of an eye!

Instead, I'd suggest going for the monthly subscription, precisely the "Basic" option since it's the cheapest one. (My soul's worth 3$ a month apparently lol)

This site is what we desperately needed as artists, like, it has alot of really neat stuff there: AI & NFTs are forbidden, you can upload videos & Flash files that are supported by Ruffle, and there's a "tone indicator" feature in the comments! How cool is that?

That being said, I can definitely say with utmost confidence that Sheezy.Art has earned my financial support.

A RevolutionEARy Pitchcovery

I've accomplished something that most absolutely means the world to me. But. A lil' backstory for context.

When I was a kid, I was autistic. Like, VERY autistic... I still very much am to this day, don't get your blue puzzle piece balls in a twist (actually yes please do). Basically, I'm autistic to the point where my hearing has the sharpness that could cut a bloody Nokia in half. Call me Dolores Madrigal for all I care.

Basically, I can tell when the pitch of an audio is slightly off, as in, it's higher than it's originally meant to be. I could especially notice that as a kid when I watched a pirated copy of The Lion King. That shit always bothered me. I would try to explain it to my mother, but of course, me being a kid, I couldn't really find the right words to convey it. All that would come out is "it's not the right movie!" & "it doesn't sound right!"

My poor mother struggled SO HARD to understand and did everything she could to find the right version of the movie, to no avail. From what I gathered, it definitely seems like pirated copies affect the audio pitch in a very subtle way.

Nowadays, I can properly explain it with words that make more sense, and show it by comparing a song with the same one, but with an altered pitch. Some could tell the difference a bit, some could not.

Now onto this accomplishment of mine! I fooled around Movie Studio 2024 Platinum by de-Nightcore-ing songs, when an idea came to mind: What if I can also correct the audio pitch of a movie?

And so I did, and the movie Help! I'm A Fish just happened to be the ideal guinea pig, given how its pitch is higher than it should be, especially if you compare its score with the ones uploaded on YouTube. So basically, what I did was right click on the audio track, then click on the "time stretching" button where you can modify the speed and pitch of the audio. And so, eventually after a few trials & errors in order to find the correct way to tone down the pitch a notch... I finally did it.

It finally sounds exactly the way it should. The pitch is exactly the same as the songs uploaded on YouTube. It might seem like absolutely nothing to some of you, but for me, this is absolutely life-changing. My newly discovered power of pitching down movies to their correct audio tone after all those years is like finally being able to ( s )c( r )atch the itch that kept moving places in your body. It is THAT MUCH relieving lol

I am now the most enlightened being on the planet.
