Spin this wheel first and then this wheel second to generate the title of a YA fantasy novel!
(If the second wheel lands on an option ending with a plus sign, spin it again)

Apparently people who don't have executive dysfunction think that actually working on something is the hardest part of doing something. And that's why they get mad that you call the rest of the project "easy" after you've finally worked through doing the plan and know what to do when you're working.
So when you're through with the epiphany of how to make it physically possible to make the thing you're making, and you're sharing the plan with excitement, because the hard part is over, and now you only have to get your hands moving and do it, they get mad at you like
"it's not that easy! It's a lot of hard work! >:C"
they mean it, because
to them, working is the hardest part.
They don't have to fight their brains to get started. They don't have to fight their way through making the choices, making the plan, making yourself make the thing. People who don't suffer from executive dysfunction think that the hardest part is actually doing the thing.

Jack still cries/has outbursts like a little kid and like it really just shows how emotionally stunted he is because of his father. The look on his face when Sawyer tells him that story about his dad is kinda heartbreaking every time I see it

an important thing to know about jack shephard is that he isn't "good" just because he was made that way, he isn't "acting good" because he thinks he's better than other people, he is fighting tooth and nail to BE good because he doesn't think he is. He has a dad who wasn't good because he didn't TRY and Jack'll be damned if he turns out the same way. And because his dad wasn't good and rarely acknowledged that his son was worth loving for his own sake and not just his accomplishments (which Christian tied closely to his own contributions, no less), he's also dealing with significant self-worth problems that he can't shake. He's overcompensating because he wants to be worthy of love.
mocking him for being good - responding to it like it's an act - being shocked and amazed (or gloating) when he eventually presents as fallible and in need of help - all ignore the human being he has always been - a normal guy trying really, really hard
