Indefinite Hiatus

Hello friends,

After my time away, I came to the conclusion that Tumblr may no longer be the place for me. A few months ago, I received DMs that made me feel like the fandom I loved so much was not the supportive place I thought it was. I am not interested in an environment where everything is a competition, and some people are judged better than others. And while that issue has been resolved, that bell can't be unrung, and it's coloured my view of the fandom since.

I am sorry I will be leaving things unread, but I want to be the reader everyone dreams of, long reblogs and over-the-top comments. I want to return the effort I am given. I have poured so much time and energy into my fanfiction, and like so many people before me, I can no longer take the tiny returns I'm getting back. Readers have become people who consume mindlessly and then move on, and it is impossible to pour from an empty cup. I will not be that person who consumes mindlessly, so I will not be consuming at all. It was brought to my attention in the same DMs (I know it wasn't the sender's intention but still) that I have set a standard for responding to work, and anything less is not enough. I just can't give anymore, I am drained dry.

This is not goodbye forever, this is goodbye, and I don't know when I'll be back.
