One of my favorite parts of the Thriller music video -- besides the zombies doing the Disco Turn Towards The Camera -- is the fact that in the framing plot, Michael Jackson's character appears to have taken his girlfriend on a date to watch a movie in which he himself was the star, belonging to a genre his date didn't like, in which he played a character with a girlfriend. Like nothing says romance like watching your boyfriend on the silver screen expressing his undying love for another woman immediately before turning into a werewolf and trying to eat her. The sheer audacity of this man.
