WIP Update
Next chapter of Change For The Better is written and ready to proofread. Not sure when it'll actually get posted- probably sometime between the 14th and the 18th?
Thus far I have two chapters of Gates of Stardust finished, but I'd like to get a little more done before I start posting. I'm considering waiting until CFTB is done first, so maybe sometime around April or May at this rate.

Just finished an extremely long chapter of Cursed (aka the reason I haven’t posted anything lately). It should be posted sometime over the next few days, with the next chapter of Change For The Better hopefully following sometime later this month.
#my fics#cursed#change for the better#cftb updating honestly depends on how well i adjust to the new school year#but if it doesn't get written that soon it should be early september#somewhat related but this is my last year of college to get my bachelor's degree#so i won't have homework to worry about anymore soon unless i get a masters or vet tech certification#sure i'll be working more but i think it'll still even out to give me more time for writing

reminders for writers.
nobody gives a crap if something is overdone in fiction. what they really care about is the execution
having a bad day of writing does not make you a bad writer
tropes ≠ clichés. if someone tells you it's wrong to use tropes, disregard the advice
writing in your second or third language isn’t always easy. you’re doing great
writing advice = tools. not rules. you’re not meant to follow every advice you read about on the internet. learn the rules so you know which ones to break
every writer is capable of writing a captivating story, but your story might not be everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s ok. there will still be people out there who’ll adore it
it’s ok to not excel at every genre! you can write things because you think it’s fun, doesn’t always have to be a matter of writing something because you’re good at it. it’s ok to explore (and it helps you improve as a writer!)

Quick writing update for the new year:
This is probably a bit late since we’re already a week into the new year but I just wanted to post a quick update on where I am with everything right now.
General: New Years resolution is to write 400 words a day when I can manage it. Which doesn’t sound like a lot, but it’s more about turning this into a daily habit. My class schedule this semester is a lot lighter than it has been in the past and I don’t have any absurdly hard science classes to sap up all my time anymore, so that should make things easier from here on out as well.
Currently posted fics-
Cursed: Current main focus. Expect a short chapter to be posted tomorrow, with a longer chapter being posted two weeks from now. Updates will (fingers crossed) occur every other Saturday until finished.
Change for the Better: Updates monthly, specific day to be determined. Will switch over to Cursed’s bi-weekly update schedule when Cursed is finished.
Future fics-
Firestorm fic (Steins;Gate AU): Currently working on chapter 1. When that’s finished I’m planning on preparing my next chapters for my currently posted fics, but whenever I have the next updates for both fics ready this will be the project I always come back to. Current plan is to start posting this once Cursed is finished, and it will either be updated bi-weekly or once a month depending on how many chapters I have pre-written.
Disney fic (spy AU): Will take the Firestorm fic’s place after it is finished.
Danganronpa fic (fangan): Will take the Disney fic’s place after it is finished, though these two may swap places.

Now that Rebellion is finished, I’m going to try to wrap up Cursed and Change For The Better. I’m not sure if I’ll just focus on one or if I’ll alternate between chapters, but before I do anything I’m going to go through my outlines and see what scenes can be cut. I did that for Rebellion, and I ended up cutting about 10 chapters worth of stuff that didn’t add anything the plot, so I think this will probably be necessary.
If anyone reading this has a preference for which fic I should work on next, now would be the time to mention it.
