First Line Challenge

Ah thanks @amelias-calamity-quintet for tagging me for this! Gave me a chance to look through a few of my fics that I've been throwing around!

So the goal of this is to share the first few lines/line of your latest ten fics. Or as much as you can do, I'm not sure I have ten but we'll see! I am sorry that most of these are not going to be Zelda, been bouncing around fandoms lately.

Before the Legend (Original Legends, Pre-story to Western Hyrule, T)

Link runs his thumb across the collar of the Hero's Tunic. He's heard whispers, everyone has, that this cloth has survived the ages.

Link glares out the window of the carriage. The occasional jumble caused from rocks below the wheels make him shut his eyes tight.

In Matters of Angels and Demons (DMC x Trigun, M)

There is something that is hidden in a facility. Far from most human eyes, only a select few with the knowledge and clearance were ever allowed within its walls.

Knives glares down at the pancakes with a look one would typically associate with hatred.

Pain is the first thing he notices when he regains consciousness.

Ah so it looks like I only got half. But it was fun to look through what I have written so far! I do have some wips that haven't been posted but this isn't the post for that.
