Frozen Story

Pairing: Kaine Parker x Marlette Saravia [Canon x OC]

Characters: Kaine Parker & Marlette Saravia

Summary: What would be better after an intense situation along with a surprise included? A date, during the cold winter.

Warnings: Swearing, Some Mentions of violence and xenophobia, subtile soft angst but with romance and fluff included.

The days becoming colder.

Trees and nature itself becoming darker and duller.

White snow would arrive, signal of the confirmation of the winter arrived, something some people loves, and others... Don't really.

In the morning around the 9 AM, Earth-616.

This universe became a cozy new home for Marlette, which obviously wouldn't be easy, like starting a new life since zero most likely. But anyways, she was on the bed, lazily snuggling and hugging Kaine who grunted and was sleeping with her in a same bed.

"Stop tighting on me..."

Kaine snorted, but, he was actually very comfortable feeling his woman's warmth, but since he wasn't used being touchy or physical expressive, could be new to him. Marlette gtunted quietly and kept hugging him, being the big spoon.

"But i am so damn cold..."

She murmured, sighing half asleep as she slightly woke up.

"I won't ever move from here..."

"You are like this in winter or is the pregnancy hormones...?"

"Unsure if could be both but... Is just i won't, all i want is stay here with you."

The man sighed by the woman's words, he slowly turned as he slowly woke up more, slowly blinking as he nuzzled her.

"We could do something then instead stay here like lazy asses... Maybe go somewhere?"

Questioning, he snuggled on Marlette, actually he was enjoying so much her company and all in general, Marlette softly rubbed her face and nose against his.

"Could sound good, maybe go to a café... But i would like drink a hot chocolate, i wouldn't like consume caffeine in case."

"As you wish... Big beauty."

His voice tighted as he stretched his muscled arms from his shirtless torso, then he hugged her again, damn it these two are like sticky like a chewing gum together. May he can be such of a grumpy clone, but he would always display his really soft side with the woman he loves, good thing these two are alone...

Or better said, three.

Marlette yawned, then she slowly sat up and stretched her muscular arms aswell, she was wearing a simple shirt and shorts. The pregnancy signals would start show, thought her baby bump of around four months of prrgnancy wasn't easily noticeable, still she would have as example the strong and bizarre cravings.

"Should we invite Aracely and Ben?"

Standing up, she would change of clothes, which unfortunately she didn't have a lot due the size, never brought clothes from her universe but good thing Aracely found her like three clothes at least, is better than nothing.

"Could better this should be a date?"

"Much company annoys you right?"

"I am not Ben, if that answers your question."

"Hmph, araña celosa." [Jealous spider]

"I am jealous i know."

He shrugged, Marlette looked at Kaine with a snort, but forming a small smirk, as she finished dressing, Kaine then stood up and did the same.

"No but, seriously i want a time together, we didn't spend the time for us. I guess the day when we met we had way more time."

"You want our hate back, hm?"

Marlette went to Kaine, leaning infront him with a serious face, but not being literally that.

"Maybe, just like you did to me that night."

He growled softly and playfully bit her lower, this man caught her unexpected who lightly blushed and blinked her eyes, but she smirked more and kissed his lips for a second.

"Naughty..."

"You too..."

She playfully pushed him with a sigh.

"Whatever, get ready or else you'll be freezing."

"I honestly don't care but sure."

As they dressed up, each one wearing winter coats, Kaine was wearing a crimson red scarf, black coat, all generally a winter clothing, same as Marlette but her scarf was navy blue. All finished they went out, The woman pressed her eyelids together feeling the cold breeze as it was flowing.

The clone side-eyed at her while raising up an eyebrow.

"Thought you had tolerance with the cold, didn't your world had this before?"

"Yes but i sort of dislike the cold, and i was born where the winter exactly never existed."

"I can assume you had a good life being in... A beachy place just like Mexico."

Marlette sighed deeply as they walked together, she saw the small snowflakes falling.

"Really i sometimes miss my past life."

"Why do you say that?"

He kicked the snow which was on their way, Marlette shrugged slowly as she did that.

"Not saying because i was in a nice place mostly... Is just, i miss the warmth from my family there, my home... Some stuff as you can imagine."

"But... We are your family, look at us, look at Aracely, look at Ben. You won our trust, even you had your trust struggling. And you are expecting a baby from us... Which still i can't believe it..."

"I mean the wamrth from my parents Kaine... By that fact me either but i can be sometimes afraid, i was never a mother."

"And me a father, but we could try i guess... After all we have the others, they can help us."

Marlette listened, he wasn't wrong, she lost her past family but thanks by the future, she won a new one, but the urge feeling on loose again would burn her heart.

"You're right... at least also we are all free from shitty Miguel honestly... Which is the most important thing."

"Agreed."

He nodded, then after a minute of pure silence, Kaine turned his head for take a look on Malette's face, which she formed a slight frown on her expression while she looked at the sky and the snowflakes falling more, the nostalgia itself arriving in her mind.

"Why's that face, love?"

"These walks during the winter gives me the memories where my father and me used to go as we arrived to United States... I never liked the snow when i was a kid but... Guess the quote of the winter brings the nostalgia is true..."

". . . You miss your father right?"

She nodded in answer in confirmation.

"We had to leave from Venezuela because... My mother kicked us off from the apartment which was in her name, when divorced of my father... In that time, we decided go to United States, New York. At the start i thought if we could go to Italy but my father just... Didn't want so we had to leave."

"Leaving your home seems to be painful... I can't really feel that because i never got a home, since my creation."

He lightly frowned and kept walking, sighing.

"I had no idea of that country exists but sounds pretty."

"Indeed it is... But that's another thing."

Their steps were avancing more, their hands slowly moving closer to each other, until they held themselves.

"This can be your new home after all Marlette..."

"That's... Really kind from you, but i won't be a new charge."

"Since when you are a charge, look we are not even a big family, just me, Ben, Aracely, you and the little coming baby. Just five members, which could be an average family."

They arrived to the café, the decoration looked so cozy, so Kaine and Marlette looked at each other, and entered together, their hands becoming to feel their warmth together. They went to the seats for two persons, as the long haired sat down, he saw in the menu, his woman sat too.

"Alright so... Anything you would like?"

"Hot chocolate could be good... You?"

"Just that?"

She nodded, just needing something warm and simple.

"Well i pay this time."

"Using Aracely's money?"

". . . No."

"Thought you had your own money."

"I mean you either so we are in the same boat, i just recieve help from Aracely."

"You should get a job then."

Kaine rolled his brown eyes, then he ordered what they wished when a waiter arrived, when later they were alone, Marlette leaned her elbow on the table for put her head on her hand.

"A job well... What i can say, i don't think is a good idea someone accept a big, tough and scary looking guy like this easily, probably could mistake me as a criminal."

"Pfft, baboso, some more scarier people could have jobs, look at you, You could be a bodyguard from a place."

Suggesting, Kaine thought, could be a good idea.

"Depends but..."

"I am not saying because by the general term of the man must work and the woman stay, but is just, you shouldn't depend yourself with Aracely's money, which... How she wins so much?"

"Swearing Jar."

He shrugged, Marlette silently snorted.

"Makes sense why you end broke... But, you should win your money, and we should get a new home because... I don't think i might come back to my universe..."

Slightly frowning she slowly lowered her head.

"This is like... Stopping to be the heroine i am... And fact this is not my job, only i like being here due being more... Safe comparing."

"Well, there is no place which is safe. But i honestly... Don't know but, maybe you could take some visits, so the public maybe won't feel like you abandoned there."

"But not now Kaine, just when i feel ready."

"Obviously, but Ben could offer his help and- ... Shit, forgot also You don't have something for come back."

"And that's the most worrying part, argh..."

She facepalmed, well the some glitches she was been feeling would give her more logic.

"Wait... But, there is a thing i can't understand... I glitched but the pain wasn't intense comparing before and wasn't often... I can assume is our baby since carries or both genes..."

"And maybe those genes inside you..- Sounded bad but, kept you less glitching..."

"But still this could be dangerous for me and the baby-"

"You're not in another world which is mines or yours, so you are... Technically kinda safe. But listen don't worry, Ben and i we can work on it, just, relax."

"The grumpy spider trying to now comfort me hm?"

Kaine rolled his eyes as he heard her tease, shrugging but not being rude with her.

"What do you mean..."

"Nada." [Nothing]

When their coffee and hot chocolate arrived by a waiter, Marlette nodded in gratitude, aswell Kaine did. Some few people from the background stared at them, well, a big woman with her slight shorter man always was a rare, but also yet cute thing.

"I think... We might change off-topic, i don't want bring any worrying situation right now. So..."

He took a sip from his coffee after he blew a little.

"Tell me... Just for curiosity, how your father... Looked and how he was with you? Probably he was a good farther."

"He was literally an important piece of my life, he... Always he was very attentive with me, worried for me and he worked so hard for bring happiness and have a good childhood."

She blew her hot chocolate, taking a small sip aswell.

"He was my hero, actually if he was still alive, he would be more heroic than me..."

Her blue eyes, softened into nostalgic expression, hands on the warm mug, staring at the brown chocolate liquid.

"Always told me something he is right... Towards any situation, always put yourself all infront, and combat against the strongest duels for gain the reward of it, which is peace or a better life."

He listened, his attention deep at her words, slowly nodding.

"Well... I can assume he could be right. Just... Look, you fought with your enemy that you had fear right?"

"Correct, actually when... I was a kid i had a fear with the darkness, my dad always every night laid down next me and tell me stories, he used to wait until i was fully asleep. And i am going to be honest, before get my powers still i had the fear of the darkness. Being eighteen, you believe it? Young adult, imagine that."

"But you defeated that fear, your heroine bame is Night-Glow, the night, the darkness in general, even your suit is mainly black."

"Exactly, i had to fight against it during my military service. And well... And the conflict with Ayla... Crazy story."

Another sip, Kaine took a small sigh and lowered his head a bit.

"While i had the fear on losing you... I had one day believed that display fear was somehow a kind of show weakness..."

"Amor, is not, actually that's the most important start to be braver."

"But fight against a loss from you would be a battle i would never win, love."

The brown eyes softened with a small frown, Marlette's face did the same, staring deeply at each other.

". . . I... Well... I would love express more but just bot infront others..."

He glanced at the few people were staring with a serious expression, this man was sort of reserved. His woman gave a single nod with a tiny smile from her lips.

"Anyways, and when you arrived to well, United States with your dad, how was your experience?"

"At the start was happy because, the excitment of meet a new country, but as the time passes... I became just well, not depressed but yeah feeling down lately, my dad too. I loved my country but there was problems there from his job."

"I can imagine that pain leave your home but, what exactly he worked? And what was his name?"

"Alessio Giulianni, he worked in a company of italian vehicles, being translator and in charge for register the cars."

"Huh, so he used register Ferraris?"

"Sometimes but since it was the future well, different models, but he wasn't rich, just good economy for a small family."

"I see... Could be interesting meet my father-in-law then."

"Takes time, he wasn't a guy who trusts easily."

"Makes sense where that trusting issues came from you."

Marlette rolled her eyes and shook her head.

"Maybe, or whatever. The point is we had to retire from our home because somehow his job without any even sense reported him, though, i don't remember much..."

"Who knows... But, he was a great dad for you then, which i am glad."

Marlette nodded slowly and took another sip, the cocoa flavor on her tongue was calming her down.

"I was craving for this..."

"That kid seems to have fancy likes huh, fancy like the mother i guess."

"Maybe."

Both lips formed a subtile and warm smile.

"And did you like stay there?"

"Sí pero... Just sometimes we both experimented xenophobia, in my times when younger there was a massive migration of europeans, i am more latina due my life and part of my mother but still, i am half italian and recieved the same of it, they used to tell us go back to our countries, thanks by our mafias we ruined them, and shitty useless words." [Yes but...]

"That doesn't make sense, did Alessio do something bad for recieve that? I doubt."

"Nothing, is just some stupid brainless people. But actually when we moved, there was three generations of migration, i was sadly the third one, where only professional and ones who wanted a new life were very few, the other majority are just... Mafians for gain more money, do mess and get more power international. Using very powerful weapons from europe, many of them uses guns and trust me, their weapons are fast killers."

Her partner kept listening, drinking his coffee, he was somehow curious about her stories, things very different from her universe clearly.

"Fuck... But, hey but is gone, well i think?"

"I mean more or less, but yes i caught some of them along the police and deported them back to their countries. But if you ask me... If is still active... I don't think so... Actually, that's a reason why the majority of my enemies are european, exept Ayla she was american."

"You did a great job, i honestly still struggle myself on be a hero... I mean i do but not really comparing to Peter and Ben. After all i am not obviously Spider-Man."

He shrugged, expression flat and looking away with his eyes closed.

"We always struggle at become heroes, but to me, you saved my heart."

As he listened those words he opened the eyes quickly and blushed a little.

"Stop..."

"I am your woman, i have rights, deal with it."

"Hmph... Sure... As my spider queen wishes."

"Ay ya! At home we continue, feels a little weird when people are close to us here hear these kind of words..."

"Better change of theme. Alessio, good man i can see there."

These are struggling to have more a cuddly time together, getting clingy at each other after a way long time of pure chaos and mess.

"Fine then, So... Do you... remember the necklace i used to wear? Well... it broke during my intense battle... That was the last gift from him..."

"Explains why you was sort of atteched to it? I mean is okay but is just a material and-"

"If i gave you a last gift and i died, would you go sad by loose it?"

Damn it Kaine spilled the glass a bit there, he gulped quietly as he noticed his error, carefully avoid this bad sentence.

"Argh shit, sorry... Yeah i would, but really sorry... I was never got so attached by material which i mean, not all the time is that, but in your case you are right, so sorry i fucked it up."

"I mean is true, but just..."

She sighed, finishing her chocolate.

"Feels empty not having it on, had my thoughts he was there with me but... I can think he is sort of free..."

Kaine finished also his coffee, then he stood up and took her hand for lift her slowly.

"Marlette, Your father probably he is with you still, but listen, no sad tensions okay? C'mere."

He left some money from his pocket from the jacket he was wearing on the table.

"Kaine is okay just-"

"You are missing him, is okay but i won't see you like this sad, just let's go take a walk and come back to home. And hormones wouldn't be excuses."

The tall woman breathed in, well the some mood swings was displayed and Kaine wouldn't allow this situation become a little bit intense.

After an hour later, they came back to the apartment, being inside now, they took off their jackets, the walk distracted their minds which was good, the couple then went to thw bedroom they used sleep together. By the cold they wouldn't have the freedom to sleep whatever they wanted, those small stories about her father were some interesting but she didn't really told very detailed.

Because is clearly, maybe those stories, are like a puzzle, just with hidden pieces.

And most likely, frozen, which even herself wouldn't even know, but let the time slowly reveal the pieces of the puzzle, it was sort of weird that Alessio in that moment had to leave due a job issue but... That job hid something more...

Which, about the reason of that caught the mind from the woman, shouldn't think about it now... They took off their clothes, staying half naked for snuggle with the blankets of the bed and using their bodies' natural warmth together. Thinking and thinking got Marlette feel somehow worried, was reasonable behave like that and plus the hormones would be more logic to feel like that. But Kaine who felt the tension he would hug her from behind, taking a calm sigh and a hand on her belly.

"You shouldn't worry, everything is okay."

"I am fine... Just... The cold and such, nothing else."

"Let's not think on these things, i am not letting those damn bad feelings get you."

He snorted, kissing her back gently and nuzzling there with his own nose, Marlette sighed and was calming down.

"And the cold, is not a damn excuse to feel like that. But if you say... Then i can search possibly a way for warm you."

"Aha how? Hugging me and try to squeeze me?"

"More than that..."

He hugged her tightly, tensing his muscles, Marlette gasped and growled.

"Hey stop!"

"I'll don't if you stop feel bad and overthink the things. If not you become like Ben when he is drunk."

"How so?"

"He becomes the fucking real ultimate drama queen."

"Ay pero deja Dios mio Kaine or you will smash the little one!" [Oh but stop my God]

He stopped with a small smirk, then he nuzzled her and kissed her cheek with a small exhale, Marlette pressed her lips like pretend she was annoyed, but she allowed her partner keep cuddling her. So she would just follow it by then with a surprise of hug him, he lightly flinched but then hugged her back and gave small kisses on the lips.

"Maybe i could be such an idiot sometimes like person, but never a baby assassin, so keep it in mind Big Beauty."

"I never saw you become like a soft kitty, hm, appearances cheats."

"Says the one who is more rude and intimidating, huh."

"Como digas, papi." [Like you say, daddy]

"That word tangles my mind."

"I know because you like it."

"Who knows."

Then, both slowly smiling warmly, they felt their warmths again, gave each other a gently kiss on their lips and slowly take a rest, she was staring at the window, the white and shiny snowflakes falling from the sky slowly and giving a nice, relaxing and positive nostalgic view on the icy city, slowly her eyes closed and the dreams would watch her, Kaine yawned, then kissed her cheek again, and gave soft caressing on her small baby bump belly.

"Rest well you two..."

Eyes from the clone closed in a slow movement, the small spider family fell asleep together in a nap time.

The winter, uniting the couple more again, having each day a stronger bonding situation, sure, all couples carries ups and downs. This turned from two, hostile, fierce and mistrusting each other spiders with their hearts dark.

Into docile, caring and deep trusting spiders each other spiders with their hearts iluminating.

But this, the true stories told under the ice could reveal and cause a new fire.

The time will tell how would happen.

The Blossoming Surprise

Pairing: Kaine Parker x Marlette Saravia [Canon x OC]

Characters: Kaine Parker, Marlette Saravia, Ben Reilly & Aracely Penalba

Summary: All fierce things left, arriving the peace, with a small surprise like a blossoming flower.

Warnings: Swearing, Fluff, Romance, Slight Comedy, Subtile Mystery, but with a surprise about a new life coming. Unexpected Pregnancy, Angst, Drama, Mini Child Reject, Discussion but comfort at final.

Starting with a new cozy day, with some pretty cold breeze and the sky being covered with white clouds. Our arachnid heros would finally take the time they deserve after a very complicated and chaotic mission, or well, in plural, missions.

Was a pain, so much risk in everything.

After all, it all worth it.

Ben Reilly would be on the couch, taking a nap while recovering all the wounds and bruises as he was paying all the risks for the good of his clone brother, and of course his other-world friend, which it took a lot of energy but he was used to it, so nothing new.

Meanwhile, Aracely was watching Ben while drinking a glass of soda, being quiet.

"Caray... Indeed ese loco lo dejó bien feo." [Dang... That crazy left him very ugly]

She commented with a small murmur, shrugging, but she was feeling something lately strange, but she knew it.

Better not say anything about it, which as she thought about she tensed her lips with a slight worried expression on her face, her mind spoke to herself about what's going to happen next.

Meanwhile, Kaine Parker would be sleeping with Marlette with a warm hug, his breathing slow and quiet, eyes closed, hair messy, muscled arms around her, his chest against her scarred back, feeling a comfortable warmth with his heart beating slow and calm. Marlette was sleeping too, feeling the warmth between her partner and the blanket.

Suddenly, the clouds slowly divided, letting the sun shine, by the glass of the window reflected the light, hitting directly on Kaines eyelids, his face tensed and made a small grunt, covering his face on her back, Marlette sighed asleep, until slowly she opened her eyes as their nap time finished, yawning quietly but not moving, she looked down, feeling how her boyfriend was hugging her, not wanting let her go.

A small, yet warm smile appeared from her lips, she carefully moved his arms so she could go, but another low grunt sounded and the hug tightened a bit.

"Five damn more minutes..."

"I need to wake up Pelito..."

Gently she half whispered, nudging his hands and slowly pushing away his arms, which Kaine's face formed a grumpy one and hugged her more tight, letting go an angry grunt.

"Don't even dare to move, Big Beauty..."

Aww, guess this grumpy big man became a clingy kitty, well in his way, but still shows cuteness.

"Por Dios Kaine... Just let me go to prepare the lunch, we are not allowing this nap be longer, could affect our nights."

"Says the one who always worked as a spider during midnights..."

He sighed, Marlette rolled her eyes and then she finally separated.

"Behave grumpy man."

Playfully she pulled Kaine's hair who flinched.

"Ow stop!"

Marlette smirked at his reaction, then she stood up for prepare the food.

After minutes, she finished cooking, she simply made common Spaghetti, with its tomato sauce, basil and ground meat. The smell and all was good, the appearance and all, Aracely was watching like an innocent child but...

The feelings getting harder for inside in her case...

As then, annouced the lunch and later everyone on the table beginning to eat, the both clones stared at each other, Ben tlited his head.

"What are you looking Kaine?"

"Seeing how fucked up you are."

"Do see me suffer pleases you, right?"

"Don't blame me, blame our origins, blondie."

"Yeah whatever, Horse Hair."

"Seriously-"

Kaine snorted with his eyes rolling, Ben shrugged, these two being brothers. While Marlette as she was eating, she felt full but...

She didn't eat all the food, what happened?

She is a big woman, she has a muscular body, she would normally consume that plate.

The eyes from Aracely as she noticed that widened her eyes and quietly gulped, signals are slowly displaying...

The long haired man saw that, he felt strange so he would simply ask.

"Marlette... Are you okay? Didn't eat all the food."

"You okay? Seems like you are delicate in the stomach or something."

Both siblings stared at the woman, who placed her hands on her own forehead, sighing.

"I... I assume yes... Sorry i..."

"E-eh no no! It's fine not everyday our stomachs are in good conditions!"

Aracely exclaimed, something not common from her, Kaine looked at the adolescent with a comfused expression, but kinda suspecting. Ben worried looked.

"Hey it's fine, you ate the half, why not go rest?"

"When i finish i'll rest with you, well if you like."

"I appreciate it guys..."

She stood up, going to the bed, for take a rest.

Probably is just a bad stomach day.

Right...?

After one week later, during a calm and peaceful night. Kaine would be with Marlette, kissing her back, both almost naked for have some intimate moment but, mostly just lovely time.

"I can't believe that this damn chaos is gone... Fuck events, all those shitheads annoying us for non-sense. Or well, better not expect, cause more shitty heads-"

"Seems like cursing is your life huh?"

"Sorry just... Y'know."

He leaned his head on her shoulder, sighing.

"I should give you a lesson then."

"Tsk, how a woman can correct me-"

Marlette turned to see infront Kaine, then she took his hair and pulled close to her.

"I am not just a woman, Kaine Parker... I am your woman."

She gave a low purr, nuzzling his nose with hers. Kaine's cheeks became a subtile reddish tone, but he accepted. Damn, this man seemed like he had a weak for her.

"Well... Make me, Big Beauty, how me if you can correct me, mami."

He winked with a slight smirk, welly well... Guess he is not staying behind, Marlette blushed lightly too, smiling.

Then they both kissed, uniting their lips together while enjoying their love.

A rule-breaker love.

You clearly know what happens then, seemed like the hormones of the big lady became a little... Unsual.

But well, couple things. Or better said a interuniversal couple things.

Later on, after around a pair of days. Marlette was found in the bathroom, breathing heavely on the toilet, something not normal happened to her, she had a pair of days with nausa, mo wanting eat a lot. This worried so much Kaine and Ben, not understanding what is happening.

"Kaine... Something is not being okay."

"Hay-hair, obviously she is not fine, she was not eating well or normally she eats."

"Might be a virus?"

Kaine looked at Ben with a grumpy and confused face.

"If it was a virus would be infected us already, dumbass."

"So strange as i feel... I think we should take her to a medic? Is there your doctor friend near?"

"Unfortunately Donald is on holidays, doubt he can help."

Ben snorted, rolling his eyes.

"Damn it, but let's take her to the hospital, so we find out about her health."

"Yeah because lately she was being so strange even clingy with me..."

"Thought you was the clingy one?"

"Shut up."

The blonde made a grumpy face and slapped his head but Kaine returned.

"Respect me kiddo."

"I am not a kiddo!"

"Whatever! Not wasting the time. We should take her to a medic but the thing worries me about find out about her spider DNA or something."

"Can be anonymous, but still risky... People will think we might have another spider, and we are three!"

"That's still the thing Ben, no solutions, only Donald can help her since well he knows my identity, powers and blah blah."

"Would risk Marlette get worse by the time?"

Damn it... The both clone brothers began to stress for find a solution about the woman's health, Aracely stared at them, gulping quietly and unsure if tell or not.

Should wait?

Might sound cruel, but yes for a few days.

"I don't think Kaine... She is enough resistant to get worse."

The both spiders looked at Ben, then at each other again, then they nodded and shrugged.

"Fine then, sounds good, i'll see if i pay."
