Spinerette giggled as she waved excitedly at Bridge, her movements exaggerated and filled with energy. When she saw the other spider hero bow, she did the same, the spider eyes on her mask closing shut while she grinned.

" You doin' well too, Nano?" She asked, tilting her head a bit to the side. " Haven't been back here at the HQ for a while so I dunno anythin'! "

" Hello, hellooo! " Spinerette waves happily before lifting up her mask a bit, allowing her fanged smile to be seen. " Dunno if you remember me, haven't been on here a while, but I wanted to say hi! Haha, hope this isn't too weird for you. "

The other woman breaks Bridge's focus as her jovial tone of voice rings through the silence, causing her to shoot a glance over her shoulder. Upon seeing Spinerette, an utterance of acknowledgement follows the woman's motions as she turns to fully face her

The automaton grants her a quick bow in greeting as they approach.

"Spinerette, hello. A pleasure to hear from you again. I do not find it odd at all. You have been well, I hope...?"

A Bug in Gotham City?

There have been recent reports of a spider-like hero in Gotham City, seen swinging around in the early mornings and late nights. It's said that they're seen dealing with more small-scale crimes or helping old women carry their groceries safely back to their homes.

There are even several photos and videos of this hero currently circling the internet, with them willingly interacting with civilians. Waving, greeting people they swing by, and even do tricks when asked.

Eyewitness James Ernest stated: " They were just swinging around and punching the robbers as if they were nothin! Honestly, it's nice to have more daytime heroes! Signal's great, but he can't cover all of Gotham so the more the merrier, I guess? "

What could this mean for Gotham? For the Bats and Birds of the night? Could this hero be good or a faker in disguise? Will more themed heroes appear? Stay tuned for our next post on www.gothamgazette.com

" Wasn't exactly a threat, but tha's kinda mean ta' say. " She replied with her head slowly tilting to one side, her spider eyes squinting as if scanning Seagull, looking her up and down behind the mask.

She was thankful that her vision was better than a normal human's since she was able to spot how Seagull's left pupil slight rotated, causing her to raise a brow. It affected her mask as well, one of the eyes squinting a bit more. " Can't say I'm fond of all the bats and birds of Gotham either. You seem to be a new one though, never met a bird who had pupils that rotate. " She pointed out while moving closer, her upper body bending a bit to get a better look at Seagull.

Instead of just her hand, her whole body was sparking with electricity. Appearing in random areas from her fingers to her hips, as if trying to escape. Spinnerette's emotions were affecting her control of her power, the anxiousness she felt was causing the electricity in her to spark and burst in small amounts.

Seagull felt..off to Spinnerette and usually, whenever someone felt off, it wasn't a good thing.

Seagull and Nightwing were in Gotham, Seagull didn’t want to be in what she was told was the worse twin city. Yet Nightwing wanted to get her comfortable with Gotham just incase she was needed as backup.

Naturally Seagull got separate from her mentor and turned around to see a spider themed vigilante behind her.

She put up her fists, expecting a fight.

“ Woah there! “ Spinerette looked at Seagull with a shocked expression, the spider-like eyes on her mask widening like her actual eyes behind it. Her hands were raised like a criminal giving himself up. “ You’re new here, aren’t’cha? Never seen ya’ before. “

She moved with the grace expected from a ballerina, jumping down from where she was perched as she landed silently. “ I expected Wing, but not a new birdie. Much less a beach bird. “ She mumbled the last part while tilting her head a bit to the side, her fingers sparking with electricity.

She had heard rumors of Nightwing taking someone in, but she didn’t expect to meet them in person! Spinerette was kind of jealous, she wanted a mentor, but there weren’t exactly a lot of spider heroes. Much less in Gotham, mainly Bats and Birds.

“ Hm, expected one of the bats to appear since I’m here. “ She mumbled under her breath as she looked around, scanning the area as the spider eyes on her mask squinted, wary of her surroundings. “ Either they think I’m not a danger anymore or they trust you enough, can’t tell which is nicer. “

She didn’t exactly get along with the Bats of Gotham after all. They didn’t take to a new hero as well as one would hope, especially a hero who was new on the scene and they knew absolutely nothing about. It didn’t seem to help that she was a powerful meta at that, with powers they couldn’t exactly pinpoint.

Something about Seagull felt..off though. As if she was looking at a distorted image of a human. The other person seemed human, but her “spidey senses”, as her sibling so lovingly called it, said otherwise. Screaming at her instincts to use her electric powers, just as a way to scare off the enemy.

And she did. Her hands sparked and her hair raised up a bit, glaring at the other person. “ ..You human or not? “ She knew her question was blunt, but she didn’t really care. Her main ally when it came to being a vigilante was her spidey sense, something that had yet to fail her. If it was screaming that Seagull was danger, then she’d trust it.

Glad to see you all and hopefully I can interact with other people soon, though, I might struggle with that since I get super nervous..don’t tell anybody but there’s this super cool ballet classmate of mine, I think her last name is Drew? I dunno, but she’s cool! “
