Does anyone else sometimes feel like one sad book could throw you over the edge, like you could read ten and nine of them would be nothing but that one will hit you where it hurts and you won’t recover? Like Russian roulette? Idk sometimes I just get to the point where I feel like sad books are grenades waiting to explode in my face.

As a socially awkward I don’t have any friends who are constants in my life, how do y’all start and maintain relationships outside of family? I’m homeschooled. I also have the problem of being young so I can’t get around many places ( see no friends to drive me and I don’t have a license. I don’t take any classes at libraries or do sports. I don’t care for texting so online friends are hard for me to keep up with. I hate feeling like people don’t care as much about being my friend as I do being theirs and texting it’s hard for me to tell if they are enjoying the conversation at all.

I feel like everyone is passing me by and enjoying the normal teenage stuff and I’m missing out on it. I really want to go to gas stations late at night and get slushies that make my tounge blue and goof off at the park like idiots and have a bunch of little inside jokes and feel like my age.

I want to got costume party’s and stuff but my family doesn’t celebrate Halloween and I don’t have any friends my age who’d want to dress up as idk the h20 mermaids or some nonsensical but amazingly clever costume :(

lil fork rant

Ok I idek how to feel about the fork rn, he’s making me mad obviously. I just don’t understand why he always has to have an opinion on what Sophie shouldn’t be doing but he never gives her a clear explanation of what she should be doing. Her doing something that she has considered all the possibilities on is not her being reckless. Nobody should be stalling her plans because they weren’t involved in making them. I understand she’s a teenager but the fork has been piling responsibility’s on her for her entire life. He should be able to let her do something that won’t do any harm to a plan they don’t even have yet.

I want to be in that group of loud obnoxious teenagers my mom keeps giving the side eye at the mall. Because maybe their lives aren’t perfect but they have friends who will fall over laughing over some completely random inside joke. And maybe I’m jealous of something I think they have that they actually don’t. But I feel like I’m missing out in my teenage years. I want the backyard bonfires. And walking to the gas station down the road to get slushees. Staying up until three am talking about nothing and everything. I want normal days to feel like good days instead of feeling like nothing.

If they make kotlc a movie/series, casting could be annoying if they could only cast blue eyed ppl. So if they do make a production out of it they’ll probably use contacts, or just throw out the “all elves have blue eyes” concept.

Which if they ditched all elves have blue eyes, I’d be kinda annoyed cus thats such a big part of how and when Sophie got to the lost cities. It answered a big why in the beginning of the story.

but I’m talking about something that theoretically could happen but most likely won’t. Cus I haven’t heard about any movie/series yet.
