episode of house that starts with a patient playing DND then rolling a nat 20 and celebrating, suddenly a loud crack is heard as he raises his hand and all of his fingers are broken. All episode House mocks the patient for being a dweeb and playing a game for virgin losers.

Wilson overhears this and challenges House to try it, betting $50 that House would actually enjoy it. House accepts and they play a few games.

They head down to where the patient usually plays to scope out any environmental factors and to play a game.

House chooses to be a rogue and Wilson chooses to be a mage (this just makes sense in my head). They get started and House is unbelievably lucky - scoring mostly Nat 20s. Wilson is confused as this is unheard of luck. House mocks him “beginners luck”. They carry on playing until Wilson has enough of House’s unwavering luck.

“Where’d you get those die?” He asks , frustrated.

“The patient had a pocket full. He wasn’t gonna miss one or two”.

He rolls another and gets a 20. The whole table is bewitched by his luck. House rolls again and watches intensely at the dice as it goes to land on a 5 , it suddenly flips to the side with a 20.

Wilson and House share a confused look as they both look under the table slowly. Underneath the board , was a flat magnet stuck to the table.

They rush back to the hospital , House revealing if they put the patient through the MRI machine , they’d be ripping his hand off.

The patient had been using magnetic dice to guarantee luck in his DnD games , switching them out so they wouldn’t become suspicious. Turns out he had experimental metal implants to help with early onset arthritis and the overuse of the magnetic dice caused them to break.

Wilson holds out his hand , expecting $50 as House enjoyed it. He refuses saying he only enjoyed it because he believed he was lucky.

It cuts to them both playing DnD at House’s apartment having a nice time..
