He was remembering the conversation that they had before, realizing that he very much had misunderstood what it had been about. Sure he knew that he hadn't been Richard's biologically, when he'd been old enough though he'd been told that his Mom had never told any of them who his Dad was. They claimed she said she had to much to drink and the night was blurry, which had always seemed off to him based on everything else he'd been told about his mother.

It made sense though now, how weird Ben got whenever Peter went on about some article he'd read about Stark Industries or some breakthrough that Tony had made. The resigned reluctance that he'd had bringing him to that Stark Expo when he was little, Ben had been planning on trying to get him backstage to meet Tony at that expo. Then everything had gone the way it had, and he'd made Peter promise later to stay away from Stark Tower.

If his Mom had really known who his Dad was then Ben had known to, he had no doubt about it. If she was going to tell anyone it would have been him and Richard. "I think Uncle Ben knew... Which means Aunt May knows." They knew and they hadn't told him? Even after he'd started the internship, May hadn't told him!?

Tony blinked. Then blinked again. Then he frowned. "We had this conversation, didn't we? I feel like we had this talk already, about me and your mom? Peter. You are my son, and sure, I'd want to be here for you even if you weren't, but you are. What did you think I meant about you being my-? Ah, actually, I see the mixup." He swallowed, resisting with great effort the urge to pull out terms of endearment that really weren't appropriate for a teenager. Then, very deliberately, he took Peter's hands. "If I'd known about you from the start, I'd have been here for you from the day you were born, but I'm here now. Because you have a right to that and because I want to be. And to be clear, I decided that well before now, when I found out about the soulmate deal. So just... Spare my heart here and drop the 'mister,' yeah? And promise me you'll use that big brain you got from me to stop catching cars like you think you're Superman."

A guy in an entomology group I'm in got a confirmed brown recluse bite because he felt something tickle his neck and brushed it off, accidentally mashing the spider against his skin. This is how almost all recluse bites happen since they're very very unaggressive. Anyway the bite was just a small nasty spot that cleared up on its own, but his hands and feet swelled up really bad. Then when the swelling went back down, all his calluses were loose and just fell right off leaving his hands and feet like brand new???????????

OFFICIAL LOW ACTIVITY ANNOUNCMENT

I know I haven't really been that active lately anyway, but PSA that I'll probably be even more so for a while. Visiting Noodle this weekend and then I'm scheduled for my first day at my second job on Tuesday after I come back, then I'll just get busier as the tax season goes on so my extra brain power will probably be pretty low till mid April.

Honestly if there is one or two things you REALLY want me to reply to best bet is just send me a link one at a time if you see I'm online and I'll just reply in that moment if I have a bit of free time. Anything I don't reply to I'll just add to my tracker.

If big party's weren't Peter's thing before everything knew he was Tony's son, they definitely weren't his thing after. Everytime he went somewhere with older people with money they just wanted to talk to him and did not let up, it made sense with the mystery that had surrounded Tony Stark's unnamed child for so many years but it was still at its best annoying and at its worst overwhelming. But he and Kate had gotten a long well when she helped with his holiday gift program, and then when they hung out a few days later she mentioned the party and asked if he wanted to come.

He didn't exactly want to, but she seemed like she could be a good friend and she'd also been so excited at the prospect of 'actually having a friend there' that he couldn't bring himself to say no. Pepper had seemed glad at least that he seemed to have made a friend who could help him navigate people knowing who he was at least a bit, and Tony had insisted that the body guard Fury give them 'on loan' come with. His reasoning was that Fury had already told him he was Spider-Man so if he had to find a reason to sneak out? Aaron could help and cover for him if needed, Peter just didn't like the idea of having someone Fury trusted close by.

When he spotted Kate he waved with a smile, and when he got closer and noticed her looking behind him at Aaron who was trailing back maybe 10 feet and trying to look like he was casually mingling he said. “Sorry I uh - Dad insisted I had to bring Aaron, did you meet him at the gift exchange?” He honestly couldn't remember, the event had gotten slightly chaotic after a certain point.
