  Val was sitting in the hall waiting outside the bathrooms, looking down at his phone with earbuds in.

Joey: Dude, you ok?

Val: ?

Joey: Lou said he saw you in the hall. You skip?

Val: yea

Joey: Wanna talk about it? I can come find you.

Val: nah

Val [typing[: just…

  Val sighed and deleted the message, closing his phone and resting his head against the wall. When he opened his eyes, someone was standing in front of him, arms crossed and face pissed. He tried to take a step back but was already pressed against the wall.

  “Li-”

  “What the fuck are you doing?”

  “Waiting on the bathroom.”

  “Not that, idiot. You ditched. You were not in Bach’s class, you are not in Wolff’s. You will not be in Markus’ either, will you?”

  “No.”

  “Why not, мудак! You are supposed to be my english partner, remember? If you ditch, I get bad grades. Garroth said-”

  “I don’t give a shit what he says. He’s your boyfriend, not your dad. I’m doing my share of the work. You just need to pull your own weight.”

  “Me?” Lillith exclaimed. “Me pull my weight?! Who do you think you’re talking to? You need to keep up with me if we want to pass this class. Or did you forget this was your idea?”

  “Just because you want to get things done as soon as you’re given them doesn’t mean I have to kill myself getting work done two weeks before it’s due. Give me a break.”

  “What is your problem?”

  “What’s yours?” He pushed past her.

15:30 pm - downtown? - use cutscene style

  Skateboard rolling down the street, bright green ears, takeout bag from a burrito shop (Dust Devil). Lillith caught the bus home, pulling her phone out when she sat down. When she opened her messages, she saw the last thing she said to Val was a rude comment, a pang of guilt hitting her in the back of the head. Hesitantly, she opened the dm and typed out “Sorry for earlier. Forgot about Dulci. Maybe we can work at your speed.” When she hit send, the message went undelivered. She tried again before fuming.

  “He blocked me?” She shouted. “Черт побери! Долбаёб бита заблокировал меня!”

  Other people on the bus gave her worried looks, this strange russian mutant shouting profanities at her phone. She stormed off the bus at her stop and slammed the front door behind her.

  “You get dinner?” Garroth was sitting on the sofa.

  Lillith threw the bag at him, storming off to her room.

  “Hey!”

  “Valentine blocked me! How am I supposed to figure out anything about him if he blocks me, huh!”

  “Calm down, Lillith. He’s living with Kimberely now, right? Just ask her-”

  “I’m not crazy.”

  “Then her little weird friend. One of them is bound to say something.”

  Lillith slumped in her bean bag, almost sad. “Do it yourself, мудак.”

"What was that?"

"Nothing!"

SnakeFace episode 26 script

So, this one actually ended up being re-written as of May 18, 2025, but I want to post the original version just so you know what the original plot direction was going to be up until this episode.

  “I know what he said, but you’re not even in the same study hall,” Val said on the phone, pausing briefly. “I don’t care! He’s your boyfriend, not your dad. Just- pull your weight, Lilli.”

  “Me?” Lillith exclaimed. “Me pull my weight?! Who do you think you’re talking to? You need to keep up with me if we want to win this thing.”

  “It’s not about winning!”

  “Yes, it is! I have to win, and you’re going to get me to the top whether you like it or not, сука.”

  The line hung up. Val gritted his teeth and growled angrily at the phone. He fell back against the bed.

  “You alright?” Hans dipped his head through the doorway.

  Val groaned. “No.”

  “Finals trouble?”

  The vampire turned over onto his face. “Yeah.”

  “You want to talk about it?”

  Val peered over and pushed himself upright. “Sure,” he sighed.

  Hans sat down beside Val on the bed. “What’s wrong?”

  “It’s Lillith… she was always a little frustrating when we were still friends, but now she’s just obnoxious. I can’t tell if it’s on purpose, but it’s like she’s trying to get on my nerves. All she cares about is winning in the games, but that’s not what I want to do. I want to actually focus on myself for once and maybe pass my classes, but I can’t do that when she’s making such a huge deal out of a minor thing.”

  “I get what you mean.”

  “You do?”

  “Well, yeah; I’m in sports. It’s hard to work on improvement if all you’re doing is brute forcing your way to victory. For some of the guys, working to win does help them get stronger, but they don’t understand it doesn’t work for everyone else. Then they’re mad at you for falling behind.” He paused. “Do you want to win in the games?”

  “What kind of a question is that?”

  “Just answer it.”

  “I don’t know. It would be nice, but it’s not my main objective, so I guess… no?”

  “Then don’t focus on winning. Just have fun. If Lillith gets upset, so be it. What’s the worst she could do?”

  A lot, Val thought. He nodded anyway.

  “I think I’m finally starting to understand.”

  “Understand what?”

  “You.”

Clarifying message yaaayyy !! :D

  Originally, the whole buildup for season 1 was going to be “The Games,” but I changed it to focus more on the dance instead and have no actual material for the games after this episode. I apologize for the blatant retconning of something mentioned twice before already (including in this episode) but I don’t feel like going back to change it because I’m a very busy guy and I barely have time to put out new episodes at all, let alone fix all the old ones (hey hi hello, May 18, 2025 Fenn here, I’m saying fuck it and rewriting this one anyway because what’s the point of acknowledging a problem if I’m just gonna leave it? I’m just leaving this here so you know what the original intention was before the rescript. Both versions will be up on my tumblr).

  The Games were going to be like a sports festival (like how elementary schools have field days or jog-a-thons, but it was going to be competitive for extra/college credit. Things like relay races, dodgeball, and other basic endurance things. I ended up retconning this idea pretty early on into writing (fairly soon after this episode, actually), but forgot to take it out of the script until now (as of writing this message it is March 30th, 2025, but the script was written back in 2022). Sorry for all the after-episode messages, I promise they’ll stop soon (considering I ended up fixing a lot of my plot after I redrew the pilot episode)!! Thanks!

random fun facts about some of my projects because it's 4am and I can't focus on any single thing (it's mostly just names)

I came up with Malifea's name by keysmashing in my notes app when I was 12. Same with the Beilyx. Somehow still one of the most creative names I've ever concocted with this method.

I often forget that "Castle" is an actual word for an actual thing and not a clever name one of my followers suggested to me in 2019 when I couldn't come up with a name for my newest oc (at the time). I'm still ass at naming characters.

Jaxon Atsotasdi (Dog Whistler)'s last name means... "whistler"

I'm ass at names. So ass.

My newest character? Their name is Annie. Want to know what it's short for? Anidawehi. Cool, right? Well, I couldn't find any names that meant "angel" without actually naming them "angel" so I just translated it into Cherokee and gave them a nickname. Annie's name literally just means Angel because I couldn't think of anything else.

You know what my persona, the fallen angel, is named?

Yeah it's also Angel. I name my characters like I'm a fucking ten year old, it's not even funny anymore.

I think the funniest character name I ever came up with was Bandyn. I took the name "Brandon," took out the r and changed the "o" to a "y," stuck him in my fantasy story that takes place 30k years after the apocalypse in a fantasy world, and then not even two weeks later I started watching Shannara, which takes place 3k years in the future in a fantasy world and has a guy named Bandon in it. Really dodged a bullet with the "y" on that one, Waya, great job. :/

My actual funniest character name I made was one of my earlier ocs from my scrapped project "Toxic Blood," (in which the main character's best friend was a blatant ripoff of Hide from Tokyo Ghoul but we're ignoring that) who I wanted to have a fun "cool guy" name so I named him Jeiku Hebi. Jake Snake. I named him Jake Snake. (The villain's name was Kyle <//3)

My most creative character name I ever actually put any thought into was Lillith, who I actually did extensive research on in order to properly sew her backstory into both her birth and chosen names. Lillith Ravil Crepsley (Lilith mother of demons and Adam's first wife, Archangel Raphael, and Crepsley was tooootally not a name I stole from the Vampire's Assistant whaaaaat-) formerly (spoilers incoming [but who reads these, anyway?]) Azrael Ravil Baranov(a) (Archangel Azrael [the one with all the eyes, tongues, wings n shit], Archangel Raphael [she kept the middle name] and Baranov(a) means lamb, which is a sacred biblical animal). I've got a whole note document section dedicated just to her name. She's my magnum opus.

SnakeFace episode 25 script

[keep in mind, this was written in 2021-2022, so some of my personal notes are very outdated, but I'm keeping them in for consistency's sake so you can kinda see my thought process as I write]

<Saturday night, April 10>

  Catherine and Keith were home that night. They finally got to meet Hans and properly introduce themselves to Joey instead of wondering who this strange child living on their balcony was. [add a panel of them scolding Kim for letting random kids live in their house without permission] They hadn’t had much time to spend with their daughter since her birthday. Jamie was home, allowing Ivan to get some mom time in, too.

  “It’s been a while since we’ve had this many people over,” Catherine said. “When was the last time we had a big gathering at our house?”

  “We had to be living in Overdale,” Keith answered, “because this is the first I’ve spent so much time in the manor with more than four people present.”

  “It was dad’s funeral,” Ivan said. The room felt cold. “We had the service at your house since it was bigger than mom’s place.”

  “What was your dad like?” Joey asked, trying to lighten up the topic without changing it.

  “He was just like any other good neighbourhood guy, I guess. He had a job, a good house, took care of us… He didn’t stand out all that much, but he was still special to me. I mean, he was my dad, right?”

  “Thomas was a good family man. He knew what to do when times got rough. I always loved seeing how well he and Ivan got along. You two were so much alike.” Jamie started to tear up.

<WOAH FLASHBACK TIME>

  Not really anything that special - just make something up of Thomas and Ivan on the beach or something

No, fuck that, flashback time

  “Knock knock,” Thomas said, standing in Ivan’s doorway.

  “No,” Ivan said (make sure this isn’t misconstrewed, showing some of Ivan’s true personality).

  “I just wanna talk, bud. Can I come in?”

  “No. Leave me alone.”

  “Come on, Ivan, you have to at least let me try-”

  “Why bother? Everyone else seems to want nothing to do with me. You might as well give up on me.”

  “Ivan. You know that’s not true.”

  “Why then? Why does everyone I meet hate me so much? You and mom tell me all the time that I’m a great person, and they just haven’t gotten to know the real me. What if this is the real me? What if the real me doesn’t deserve friends, or a normal life? What if the real me just wants to be left alone? Maybe the real me bites. Maybe the real me is some unforgivable monster who eats all of its friends as soon as they get too close. Maybe-”

  “Ivan.”

  Ivan glared at Thomas. The lights were off in his room. All Thomas could see were the burning eyes of his son. Anyone else would’ve backed off, or at least been intimidated to the point of fearing that Ivan might lash out if they took a step closer. Not Thomas. Not his dad. Thomas turned the lights on. Ivan grimaced and closed his eyes turning away.

  “I won’t come in if you don’t let me. But maybe avoid glaring like that with the lights off. It’ll strain your eyes.”

  Ivan pouted.

  “I don’t know how you’re feeling, but I know this is hard for you. The least I can do is try to talk to you enough that you can accept this as just another bad memory.”

  “You’re not going to tell me I should just forget all of this ever happened?”

  “No. Knowing is half the battle, but moving past it shows you conquered whatever bad feeling you’re fighting.”

  “My heart hurts.”

  “It’ll hurt. Probably for a while. But you know what happens when you get cut deep?”

  “What?”

  “It leaves a scar. Scars mean you lived through it. It won’t go away, but you’ll get stronger because of it.”

  Ivan wiped his eyes and smiled. [cont memory later, Ivan does a finger gun at his dad - they used to have a “handshake” where one of them pretends to shoot the other]

<end flashback>

  “He was there for me when I had trouble with Wilson.”

  “Wilson?” Joey wondered. “Who’s Wilson?”

  Ivan froze. “He uh… bullied me a lot in California. I didn’t see much from him after I met Kim; I think he was scared of her.”

  “He better have been,” Kim said. “I swear, if he tried anything, I’d shove my boot so far up his-”

  “Kimberely,” Keith interrupted.

  “Sorry. But I mean it; if anyone tries to pick on any of you, I won’t hesitate.”

  Val laughed.

  “I’m serious! If you think that’s funny, I’ll take you on right now!”

  “I’m good.” The vampire slinked into the sofa. (add in a little doodle of Nana saying “sissy”)

  “Yeah, that’s what I thought.”
