controversial take, maybe

so, i have to go to a baby shower for a girl who is the same age as me, 18, soon and it got me thinking (unfortunately.) i find myself feeling bad for all of these young women who start having children at such a young age. like youll never be able to understand or feel the freedom that comes with being a young adult with no children. i believe some of them dont realize how much having children will restrict your life even if you try to stop it from happening. i understand some people just want a family and thats their goal in life but kids at 18? with a man that barely likes you? thats another thing. i feel as though so many people (not even just young women) have kids with anyone that will give them attention because they want to be loved.

maybe i feel this way because ive never been in a relationship (or have ever really wanted one) or have ever wanted children.

i especially feel this way for teen moms. i know how teenaged boys are and as much as some might want to deny it, they are in fact immature and not fit in anyway to be fathers. someone im related to for example, hes about 17 currently, probably 16 when he got his girlfriend pregnant. he wants to be mature so bad but he just isnt. he stopped his girlfriend from going into a career that would benefit both her and her family because HE didnt want that. now shes pregnant and probably wont even finish high school. its sad to see honestly and i do wish the best for them but i cant help but think about the life she couldve had. i dont kow, maybe im just being dramatic. i know shes happy and thats all that matters. but how long will she be happy?

does anyone else agree? does anything im saying even make any sense?

first post… kinda nervous…

i finally caved and made a tumblr blog. my notes app just wasn’t doing it for me. something about blogging is so intriguing to me. like yes let me tell you everything going on with me. let me yell my problems into the void that is tumblr. or maybe i won’t be so miserable here. anywho….

a little about myself for my first post, i suppose.

i’m 18, gonna be 19 this year. i’m currently attending community college with no purpose. i’m the oldest of my siblings and the only girl in my family (oldest daughter curse.) im addicted to spotify. some of my favorite artists include, elliott smith, jeff buckley, erykah badu, big theif/adrianne lenker, the sundays, etc. as for movies and shows, i like everything every other girl like me likes; black swan, the virgin suicides, girl, interrupted, mr. fantastic fox, the phantom of the opera, and an honorable mention, the crow (1994.) i do enjoy reading as well, although, i haven’t read in awhile. i prefer ottessa moshfegh-esque books. i am on youtube quite a bit as well. i prefer more light hearted youtubers. such as, slushy noobz, turtlewithhat, logan mendoza, julian lopez, and danny gonzalez. i’m not big on twitch but i do enjoy the occasional katieb VOD (iykyk.) im a huge crafter. i love to paint (although i hardly have time anymore,) sew, and various other crafty things. id also like to clarify i do lean left when it comes to politics and do not support most republican views and little to no conservatives views. i prefer not to associate with anyone on that side in general #wokevirus🥳

thats everything i can think of as of now. i’m pretty basic and boring in my opinion. or maybe i tend to surround myself with people who i am similar to. if you’re an overthinking, confused, lowkey insufferable, and miserable girl, let’s team up and be everything the world is uncomfortable with together.
