I finally got around to posting the fourth chapter of my @spooksverse-asks Fantasy AU story to my ao3! Did not mean to take so long in uploading it lol. This chapter was originally posted in July of 2022. Finally, an appearance from Queen Eleanor!

As this is the last of the chapters I had already written, that means the next chapter will actually be new writing(well, more-or-less as I've been working on it for a while lol)! This chapter is the one where the boys finally confess, which means they will be an official couple in the next chapter!

Ends up in a firm but gentle wrestling match with you as he prevents your arms from making contact with him, insisting, or even borderline pleading with you to stay away and that he’s very loyal to his girlfriend.

Screams a surprisingly high pitched ‘No!’, wrapping his arms around himself, as he begs you to leave him be and claims his girlfriend will kill you. You slowly back off.

Air jail. Whether by trapping you in a construct or holding you up by the armpits before you can embrace him, you are not coming down until you call off the prank.

Hal Jordan (Smug bastard #1, sympathizes with how attractive he is and how hard that must be for you), John Stewart, Guy Gardner (Smug bastard #2), Jason Todd, Jean Paul Valley

A steely glare and cold ‘No.’ has you freezing in your tracks before he quickly removes himself from the room. Quickly re-enters to make sure your feelings aren’t hurt. Watching you laugh at the situation has him shooting you a dry, but fond stare.

Bruce Wayne, John Stewart, Scott Summers, Matt Murdock, Bucky Barnes

Before he can even act, his best friend intercepts you, pushing you away with a judgemental glare while calling you a ‘homewrecker’.

Peter Parker (Johnny immediately recognizes the trend, but would act this way if a random girl actually tried this because no one messes with Spidey’s happiness), Ted Kord (Booster shuffles Ted away, arm wrapped around his waist, which throws you two into a game of keep away), Matt Murdock (Foggy’s mock disappointment almost makes you feel real remorse), Wally West (Dick’s condescending smile and malicious eyes hurt…)

Catholic scolding, tells you adultery is a sin, you end up leaving the prank feeling enlightened somehow.

Kurt Wagner (yes, father…), Matt Murdock (an actual homewrecker), Jean Paul Valley

Puts you in a sleeper hold and you end up waking a minute later, face against the floor. Bro might have utilized actual military training to remain loyal.

John Stewart, Scott Summers (Xaiver’s training might be insane??), Clint Barton, Bucky Barnes

Uses his powers to move out of the way, causing you to crash into the nearest object. Apologetically brings you ice.

Barry Allen, Wally West, Kurt Wagner

Doesn’t comprehend what you shouted, too focused on catching you and cradling you in his arms, after his brain catches up with him, he lets out an alarmed shout and pushes you away.

Decides to mess with you and plays along, shooting you a flirtatious smile. Ten minutes later, he ends up on his knees trying to get on your good side again.

Actually backflips you (onto a soft rug or couch).

Straight up pulls out his guns and warns you to stay in your lane. Hopefully the safety is on…

I didn't get a chance to share this the other day, but I posted the third chapter of my @spooksverse-asks Fantasy AU story to my ao3! This chapter was originally written back in September of 2021. Finally, Mai appears, and there is only one more old chapter to edit and upload!

Looking back on the original description for this chapter on my DeviantArt, I remembered I intended for it to be pretty angsty. And while re-reading it, I definitely got that angst feeling with the conversation between Liam and Kyle. This chapter is also the chapter I have done the most edits for! Sometime last year when I was in an angsty mood with my characters, I gave more consideration to my idea of Kyle's parents divorcing. This idea came up as I just couldn't picture his parents in moments together much in my head, and with their different busy schedules and lives, I don't see it as being too surprising for them. So, this edited chapter serves as a mini exploration for that! I will most likely touch on the subject in the main universe at some point, either as a short story or during the main story, as it would happen close enough to the beginning of it.

I'll stop rambling now lol, but I hope you enjoy reading!

Why does realism always have to mean superheroes hating that they’re superheroes and/or killing people? Why can’t it mean superheroes becoming symbols of protest? Why can’t it mean people hanging/waving Superman flags to symbolize a nation/world in crisis? Why can’t it mean Wonder Woman imagery becoming symbols of anti-war and feminist movements? Why can’t it mean people spray painting bat symbols to signify police brutality and corruption? Why can’t it mean people wearing Robin merchandise to support children’s rights? Why can’t it mean people painting lanterns green to bring them to protests? Why can’t it mean people getting green and red arrow tattoos to represent standing in solidarity with the impoverished?

Oliver sat back in his chair, smiling contentedly. He watched his phone blow up before him as Roy went through the five stages of grief. "Serves you right, Batman," he laughed. The very thought of what was to come filled him with the satisfaction of revenge well taken.

"What's so funny?" asked Dinah, sounding exasperated. Oliver smiled over at her.

"You'll find out soon enough."

None of them knew what was coming. He'd kept this close to his chest for years, waiting for the right time to let it go. And now, it was all going to pay off.

"Now, to Bat-proof those arrows..."
