I have a few styles in digital art, but a thin lineart style is not one I’ve been able to adopt yet (even tho that’s the style I see the most online?? How people)

The sketch style makes it also faster for me to post these ! Which I love - so I’m glad the people like them !!

JJBA x Pokémon (Cat dads)

Abbachio has a Purugly that leaves hairballs in giorno’s shoes (he trained it to do that)

JJBA x Pokémon (Bucciarati)

I don’t know how this is the first time I’ve drawn this man, he’s perfect

I’m quite enjoying this art style more than the full digitalised type seen in my DIO and giorno art for this au. This is actually a combination of the pencil sketches taken straight from my sketchbook, and then some fun digital colouring :)

- Liepard: him and Abbachio are cat parents, and it suits his suit

- Mantine: links to past of father being a fisherman, and the idea of remoraid attaching on is reminiscent of Bucciarati collecting children

- Banette: zipper motif. Banette could have been found by Bucciarati and been given love again after being ditched as a doll, like the team mates he picks up

YES I agree wholeheartedly that the JoJos should have a rare Pokémon. I love what you said about it tying in well with how they're regarded.

Out of curiosity, what rare Pokémon would you give to the other JoJos? If you'd prefer to save your response for a drawing that you already have planned, I understand! It's why I followed you, after all 👀

I haven’t thought much about the other jojos besides how I want Jolyne to have a milotic. In part 6 I feel that having Jirachi/Celebi play as the green baby is fun

I’ve already drawn Giorno but I did go back and forth a lot on whether he should have a Virizion all the way thru, or having Xerneas as GER

I’m not too sure on the other jojos, but I have a few choice options for pseudo-legends as well that might come up in drawings soon :]

Love your Pokémon x JJBA series. I'm glad to see someone agrees with me that Urshifu is the perfect partner for Jotaro

Thank u! I went scrolling thru the pokedex a few times trying to figure out the best punching pokemon for jotaro, as the basic ones likes machamp etc don’t rly fit the vibe ? But rapid strike urshifu is a 100% match in my head, so glad u agree

I also like the idea that the jojos have some form of pokemon that’s considered rare, or special. I think I really ties in to how people regard them

JJBA x Pokémon (Jotaro)

thought long and hard about how the evolutions in this character were key

read about it under the cut :) (spoilers ahead)

- Urshifu (rapid strike): ora ora

- Magikarp/Gyarados: gift from Holly, Jotaro keeps it on his team despite it not being able to attack due to sentimentality. It evolves during the Deep Blue Moon fight. (Later on this process is repeated for Jolyne w/ a feebas/milotic). This starts his journey to become a marine biologist

- Staryu: based on Jotaro’s thesis (starfish) - evolves between part 3-4

JJBA x Pokémon (Giorno)

Continuing on my JJBA Pokémon au, to my favourite character :)

Notes on Pokemon choices under the cut, obviously part 5 spoilers ahead

- Ledian: ladybug with star motif :)

- Politoed: curl on its head represents its status as a king, like Giorno being the Don

- Seperior: evolves from snivy throughout the hunt for diavolo. Pokedex data refers to its “intimidating stare”, relates heavily to giorno’s observation of people

- Xerneas: Pokémon version of GER, Xerneas’ ability to give eternal life reflects GE’s power to give life. Could link to Diavolo’s eternal death cycle (eternal life -> death cycle)

Yes ! I was a big fan of the dusk balls idea. It also fits to the fact that he can’t go outside in the sun due to the vampirism :]

when worlds collide, ie. my current favourite medias

If you want to know more about the reason for each pokemon choice see under the cut (minor spoilers for JJBA parts 1-3 ahead). I have more ideas for this to tie into the jjba lore

- Marowak: spirit of dead mother, dio’s first pokemon was cubone which was the only one he brought w/ him to the joestar mansion

- Yamask: came about after the ordeal w/ the pillar man mask. Represents dio’s loss of humanity. Evolves into Cofagrigus after final battle w/ Jonathan (form is that of DIO’s coffin)

- Glalie: demonstration of Dio’s ice powers and prowess in using them to fight hamon users (hence mega evolution). Balances against fire type for Jonathan. Hints towards future “time freeze” power

- Swoobat: dual vampire (bat) and heart motif. A gift from Vanilla Ice ?

- Hydreigon: oooh boy this is where it hits. Deino (first evo) was originally owned by Jonathan (dinosaur = archaeology), evolved to Zweilous in first fight. During the boat scene, Dio decapitates Zweilous mid-evolution, and then brings it back with its third head as his own Pokemon. This represents Dio stealing Jonathan’s body like in the anime. Has the star mark, the crusaders have never seen it in its final evo form until part 3
