Idk if anyone’s pointed out this yet but I’m rewatching Arcane and realized that there can be a comparison drawn between Powder and her Monkey Bomb and Viktor and the Arcane.

When the bomb activates, the audience and everyone else sees all the pain and suffering the arcane crystal caused, but Powder only sees the beauty and whimsy, completely unaware of their perspectives.

In comparison, Viktor sees everything occurring from within the arcane as this moment of pure beauty and peace where everything can be made right. While he’s aware that his actions cause others pain, he doesn’t exactly know of that pain.

This show has a recurring theme of individuals only seeing the beauty of something and remaining oblivious to the horrors they cause.

Jinx is a crow

As a child she wants to fly the airship just like crows she wants the freedom of flight.

Crowd are well know for their mischievous side and jinx is incredibly mischievous

She works well alone which crows can do as well as working well with a team just as crows do in a flock

She loves and uses shiny things (hex crystals) just like crows love shiny things

She very intelligent just like crows which are able to solve complex puzzles

In season 1 Mel had a flashback which was about her mother explaining how she experienced bloodshed and war as a ickle widdle child.

She said "we will paint the walls gold, import crystal chandeliers" and she suggests this as an idea of rebuilding after the noxain war.

In season 2 after the council table is blown up it is rebuilt with gold filler (which is a Japanese art form called Kintsugi).

Mel will always rebuild with gold even herself, like her design in the final battle

In this shot it looks like jinx is being chomped by teeth that resemble Warwick

This is foreshadowing her death where she "dies" along with her father at the end

Her hood when she goes to join the fight also has teeth around it

Viktor keeps the cog from when he and Jayce first figured out hextech

Eventually the cog becomes corrupted on one side and not on the other

When he is shot by Jayce (finalising their divorce) the cog falls with the corrupted side face up

showing that when he is shot Viktor loses his last hope in humanity and has crossed the line (wink wink nudge nudge) choosing the side of corruption and there is no going back from this point as he has finally decided to commit to his

Having aesthetic attraction to a character without a trace of any romantic or sexual feelings attached is so strange

It's like there's a guy (gn) on my screen. I like how he looks and the way he moves. I don't want to have sex with him, I don't imagine myself dating him or something of that sort. There's no physical reaction at all.

But there's this ephemeral urge to, I don't know, simultaneously gnaw on him like a bone, study him under a microscope, encase him in chrome and put in my living room, and watch him do the same gesture that ticked me on a loop for approximately three million times?
