Jared Hopsworth should be headcanonned as trans more often, the innate supernatural attraction to modifying the body is an amazing metaphor for wanting to be larger / more masculine. The fact not as many people have thought about it is sad, including myself as I only recently was gifted this revelation by the eye (my friend who is knowledgeable on trans topics more than me). So, while this may not be my originating opinion, it is a genuine thing to think about in depth rather than only doing it to just the main characters.
