if i had a nickel for every time i set fire to a microwave because i thought the easymac instructions said to put the flavour powder in the microwave before adding water i'd have one nickel
if i had a nickel for every time i set fire to a microwave because the little shiny paper sheet covering the hole the waves come out exploded i'd have another nickel (fun fact if you ever need to replace the sheet, it's called a mica sheet)
these two nickels have shown me that lighting microwaves on fire is Fun but it also makes all your food afterwards taste like burned smell
if i had a nickel for everytime ive nearly set fire to my microwave because i didnt realise something had aluminium in it, id have two nickels
my obituary will someday read: local gay idiot blown up due to terminal girlfail

Ok, good. You're using her pronouns, and you're doing it consistently. That's... better.
But are you using her adjectives? Her nouns? Do you call her girl, woman, lady, wife, mom, girlfriend, and everything else when it's appropriate? Are you giving her her appropriate context when you're talking to her and about her, or are you just carefully gender neutralizing everything else so that those pronouns stand the fuck out like mad when they happen and make everyone including her feel like you're emphasizing stuff weird?

I'm always on the lookout for styles and clothes that look good on people to try, and the times I go "oh yeah I want that style" it always ends up as one of these...
I want both and I want them at the same time but they're polar opposites!! My clothing has trended towards dark stuff but at the same time I coloured my hair bright teal cuz why not, and bright sparkly nails cuz it's FUN. Not sure if they work with my clothing style though lol

tl;dr ramble about middle names being hard to pick that may or may not be interesting or applicable to anyone else
---
lots of people talk about how hard picking a new name is when you transition but noone talks about middle names. prolly because you don't need one but if you want one, how on earth do you pick it??
like for a first name you can just use it a bunch to see if it feels right and at least for me that's the most important thing, meaning isn't very important. but for a middle name, i at least never used mine except for random trivia for people who i've known for a long time; i could probably count the number of times i've spoken it on my fingers and toes.
so like, do i do something serious that's meaningful to me? could be a grandparent's name but i'm not super close to them; or a definition i associate with, but the "official" meanings of names mean about zilch to me; could do a fem version of my deadname because i don't really wanna get rid of it 100% but uuh somehow theres no fem version of it??
or i could do something funny, like make my initials a word or have like 10 middle names that are super long and hard to remember for the aforementioned trivia purposes. would be fun. but annoyingly, i personally take names somewhat seriously so i'd probably regret it. the opportunity is tempting though 😏
prolly just gonna go with the first first name i ever tried (rebecca), i still like it and it has non-zero personal meaning. (i didn't stick with it as a first name because i know so many people with that name and i like having a somewhat unique one)
yolo i guess

so hard not to become the most annoying person on earth if you're a little excitable and just learned a little about a topic literally no one around you has any interest in

come to think of it, it's the same for touch/proprioception - you can tell where in 3d space the touch happened or where your limb is, but then over time it gets less certain. i feel like theyre already pretty vague 3d/location-wise (but then how do i know that?)
could get into like how somehow in our consciousness our vision is layed out in front of us and we can like actually 'see' it even though it's just neurons firing but that might give me an existential crisis so maybe not
how does 3d work in our brain with sight and sound? like, you can tell distance in vision and distance/location in audio, so maybe it's sort of 'object-based' like "this object has this size at this position" but how do you account for uncertainty or ambiguity? like you can tell when you don't quite know where a sound is coming from (say a siren) or how far away something is (one eye closed, or if it's just far away). but it's not magic, that data has to be transmitted in your brain in some format

Snail drinking a dew drop from an acorn head
Fun fact: snails can have up to 14 000 teeth - they are tiny and positioned on their tongue called the radula.

The following two things are both true:
categories do not exist independently from their members, concepts blur at the edges, and general rules nearly always have exceptions
nevertheless we need to use categories, concepts, and general rules to interact with the world
If you neglect either you are going to have a bad time. This is because the universe is wretched. I hope this is helpful
