So...for next 7 days I will be going #Paleo. I've thought about this for awhile and talked to my endocrinologist and we agreed it was a good idea. It's not permanent, but definitely something I'm interested in. No bread, grains, dairy, or sugar. Fruits and vegetables and meat. That's pretty much it. I was lucky to find a paleo friendly salad dressing by @tessemaes that I'm excited to try. I also bought a new scale that measures my weight and body fat percentage. I don't have any other food in the house that deviates from this plan. This week is gonna suck. I'm gonna get cranky. New Boo has already been warned of impending mood swings because I can't eat donuts. But let's see what happens. Shouldn't be that bad, right? #fitness #DoOrDiabetes

I'm 33 and taking swim lessons. I'm overweight and diabetic and have hypertension. I have stretch marks and cellulite and enough rolls to open a bakery. But in the water, none of that matters. In the water, I'm free. I find my peace.

It's that time of year again!! As you may know, every year I raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern Missouri. It cost about $1000 to match a child with a mentor and I make sure that my team reaches that goal every year. How do I do that? With the support of my friends on social media.
