Accidentally deleted it but anon asks: Hi! Can you do something about Alex hanging out with the female farmer (they're very close friends) and starting to realize that he has feelings for her? Sorry if you've already done something similar!
-
Alex x F!Farmer
The beach was Alex and the farmer’s favourite place to hang out in the valley. It was quiet and full of life, the gentle waves teasing a crab that travelled along the shoreline. The gridball was at Alex’s side, accompanying him everywhere as usual. He and the farmer would pass it around until it got boring to do the same thing over and over. Alex never got bored around the farmer, so it was usually her initiative to suggest something else. Alex was happy just sitting, while the farmer fished or combed the beach for shells.
The farmer was looking for shells today. Alex could watch her with her head down and bucket in hand, pacing the whole length of the beach. Apparently some of the things you could find were pretty valuable, but Alex didn’t really have an eye for it. He enjoyed seeing what the farmer found though, it gave him a glimpse into how the farmer saw the world.
The farmer jogged back to the spot where Alex was sitting on a towel. He hated the feeling of sand in his shorts, but she didn’t mind, choosing instead to plop down in the sand in front of him.
“This one looks like you,” she said, catching her breath. Alex cocked his head as she held up a broken shell. “See? There’s the nose.” She pointed to the cracked shell edges. Alex followed her finger as she outlined the shape of a profile view of a person’s head. “He has your chin, I’ll name him Michael and he’ll be my son.” Alex snorted.
“You can’t name our son Michael,” he replied as she passed him the shell.
“Our son? I’ve fought many a crab for him and you have the audacity to say he’s yours too? Unbelievable,” she gave Alex a playful shove as she moved to join him on the towel. The sun was starting to descend in the sky. Alex had about an hour before he would go home and help Evelyn with dinner. An hour didn’t feel like enough.
“I’ll raise him well, he’ll be the most polite shell you’ve ever met.” The farmer laughed and leaned into Alex to look at the shell again. Alex felt his chest seize, something it’s been doing lately when the farmer was around. He watched the farmer’s hand cup around his as she turned over the shell, feeling his face flush lightly.
“Alright, if you promise to feed him well and tuck him in, maybe we can come to an agreement,” she said.
“You’ll have to visit on weekends at least,” Alex replied. “For Michael.”
“Oh yes, just for Michael.” The farmer winked and withdrew, turning to sort through her bucket of shells as Alex sat quietly. An hour wasn’t enough, but maybe Alex could bargain for more moments by her side.

hi! could you write anything about penny and a more extroverted girlfriend? i don’t have anything specific in mind, so whatever you’d like to write would be great! :]
Penny stood quietly as she watched her girlfriend chat casually with the movie theatre clerk as she bought the movie tickets. Penny’s girlfriend was able to have a friendly conversation with just about anyone; it was a talent that Penny admired. They got their tickets and moved to the concession line, Penny smiling peacefully.
“What is it?” Her girlfriend asked, her own face giving way to another smile as well.
“I was just thinking about how cool it is that you can just talk to anyone you want with such ease, it’s amazing.” Penny gave her hand a light squeeze and leaned into her.
“Anyone can talk to anyone,” her girlfriend replied. “You don’t feel left out, do you? I know I can get distracted.”
“No, no, not at all. It’s neat to watch, people seem to relax whenever you’re around. You make everyone feel special, I think.” Penny’s girlfriend scrunched up her nose in the smile she always did to play off something that embarrassed her. “It’s true!” Penny teased.
“Well, don’t tell anyone else that you’re my favourite then.” She kissed the top of Penny’s head to tease her back. Penny and her girlfriend had decided that PDA was fine, but her girlfriend noticed how it would make Penny blush. They moved up in the line and let their intertwined hands rest between them.
“I don’t feel left out,” Penny said after a moment. “But I do enjoy having your full attention. Not all the time, and I don’t mean that in a passive aggressive way, just that…” Penny hesitated as she tried to find the words to explain what she meant. “I feel more seen and understood with you than I do with any other person. Which is exhausting sometimes, but never unwanted.” Penny’s girlfriend looked bashful again. Penny’s observations were always honest and cut right to the root of things.
“I feel that way too -with you, I mean. I think I talk a lot but never really say anything worthwhile sometimes, if that makes sense. Not that everything has to be some deep philosophy, but I guess I’ve always appreciated your word economy.” Penny laughed.
“You can just say I’m shy,” Penny poked her girlfriend playfully in the arm and got a nudge back.
“I mean like, when you say stuff, it’s thought out, y’know? You don’t usually talk for the sake of talking. I don’t know, it’s neat. I don’t know how you have the self control to think things through all the time.”
“Well, that’s why we pair so well together. You can lead any social interaction and I’ll give my two cents every ten minutes. We can both thrive.” They stepped up to the snack counter.
“Hell yeah, I like that plan.”

Heyo can i request some soft Penny content please?
“...Penny... Penny?” The farmer called to the quiet redhead in a soft, lilting voice. Penny gave a groggy sigh as she turned out of the farmer’s shoulder, not remembering when she had fallen asleep at her friend’s side.
“How long was I out?” She asked, letting the farmer adjust her touque back over her forehead.
“Oh, just ten minutes or so. The fireworks just ended. I’m honestly impressed you were able to sleep through that, Sam and Abby had quite the show.” Penny followed the farmer’s eyes to the front of the beach where Sam and Abigail had set up the fireworks. There were brown patches where the snow had melted away to the sand.
“It was a big day, lots of excitement. It all tired me out I suppose,” Penny responded. “In a good way.”
“You’re such a grandma.” The farmer checked their watch. “It’s barely eleven and you’re already falling asleep.”
“Hah!” Penny scrunched up her nose as the farmer laughed. They were sitting together on a bench as the snow fell around them and the light from the lantern illuminated their breath.
Penny and the farmer had spent the day together, making a trip to the city to visit Penny’s favourite bookstore. She could feel the new title she had bought still tucked inside her jacket. The gentle press of the hardcover reminded her of her excitement to start reading it when she got home. The thin layer of snow that had gathered on Penny’s thighs while she slept was patterned with smiley faces the farmer must have drawn. Despite the cold air, Penny felt warm, like a cozy cabin in the middle of winter, lit from within by soft fire light. She started giving the smiley faces funny eyebrows.
“Today was great,” she said. “Really great. Thank you.”
The farmer smiled and nodded. “And it’s not even your birthday! Imagine how awesome that’s going to be. Man, I can’t wait.” Penny laughed.
“You’re excited for my birthday? You should be worried about your own birthday. I have a thing or two up my sleeve too y’know.”
The farmer gently bumped Penny’s shoulder with their own, letting a quiet moment rest between them as they watched the snow fall.
“Well, maybe I should be worried about getting you back before your bedtime. Can I walk you home?” A question that didn’t need to be asked but Penny nodded anyway. She took one last look at the smiles traced on her pants before standing up and brushing herself off. Penny and the farmer linked arms and headed towards the light of town, leaving a soft trail of boot prints behind them.

hi!! could i request elliott taking care of a sick farmer? >w<
Ooooo this kind of prompt is always such a treat
Elliott Taking Care of Sick Farmer
Elliott brought the hot water cloth over from the sink, sitting back down by the farmer’s bed. The farmer, who looked absolutely miserable, stopped Elliott’s hand as he moved to place the damp cloth over the farmer’s forehead.
“I’m too hot,” they said, tugging at the front of their shirt.
“You’re shivering,” Elliott replied. The farmer narrowed their eyes and let go of Elliott’s hand. They were shivering slightly, but their face was also flushed and sweaty. Elliott hesitated before putting the cloth on the bedside table.
“Dr. Harvey said that you’ll probably feel sick for a couple days. Honestly, I’m not surprised you gave yourself food poisoning.” Despite feeling like utter garbage, the farmer flashed a glare at Elliott.
“And what’s that supposed to mean?” The farmer shifted to sit up as Elliott passed them a new glass of water.
“Well,” Elliott smiled teasingly, “it’s a little telling that even your dog won’t eat your cooking.” Elliott waited for the farmer to finish drinking. It was very interesting to him that the farmer was letting him take care of them like this. Maybe it was the farmer’s way of getting back at Elliott for “snitching” on them to Harvey, as they would say. Elliott didn’t mind, he was just glad the farmer was resting for once.
The farmer looked like they had something smart to snap back at Elliott but shrunk down into the bed and sighed instead. “God, I miss microwaveable dinners.” They lazily pointed back at Elliott, “but I’ll be damned if I ever buy any of that Joja shit.” Elliott laughed, the farmer could always find a reason to be stubborn. Hearing Elliott’s soft laughter, the farmer opened one eye to look at him.
“What’re you still doing here anyways? I, uh, appreciate the concern but I’m fine now. Elliott put an arm over the back of the wooden chair as he leaned back, watching the farmer for a moment.
“You have a hard time asking for help,” Elliott said after a moment. The farmer’s nose scrunched up as they gave Elliott another annoyed look.
“Are you psychoanalyzing me now?” Elliott raised his hands in surrender.
“No, no, that’s not it. I feel lucky that you let me help you this much. I didn’t want to cut this time short, especially if it’s the only time I ever get to feel like I made your life a little easier.” At Elliott’s sweet response, the farmer felt a bit embarrassed.
“Well, I didn’t ask you to come out here.” They said, looking a little more awkward than before.
“I know. As your friend, I have become uniquely adapted to notice when you could use a hand.”
“I wouldn’t call ‘noticing someone violently throwing up in the bushes beside your house’ a ‘unique adaptation,’ or whatever,” the farmer replied. Elliott laughed again. Honestly, the farmer didn’t know why Elliott was always laughing at the things they said. Nothing ever seemed to get to him.
“But we are friends, aren’t we?” Elliott had a content smile on his face but was looking out the window, allowing the farmer a moment to study his expression.
“Yeah,” the farmer replied after a strained pause, realizing they hadn’t really thought about it before. They hadn’t realized that they had become close with Elliott, it made them feel a little bad about being so blunt with him. Just a little. “Yeah, we are.”
Elliott turned his gaze back to the farmer, his soft smile never fading. “Good, now get some rest. As much as I enjoy some quality time with you, I like seeing you healthy even more.”

Shane doesn’t want to dance in front of people, so farmer gets a mini juke box and they dance together in the farmers house. Farmer puts on on of his favorite songs then after awhile they slow Dance together. As the music fades they just hug and sway to the music

Hello ! Can I request some headcanons about the farmer dancing at the bar with the bachelors/bachelorettes ? Mostly Leah, Elliott, Shane and Sebastian but if you have the time to do them all, it'll be great ! Thanks in advance (and your blog is really great !)
Leah
Leah doesn’t mind dancing but she usually doesn’t take to the floor unless she’s had a drink or two, OR if her fav song is playing
She’d also be more inclined to dance if someone cute started dancing first. She’s not going to be the one to sit out!
Leah is pretty comfortable in her own skin and doing what she wants, so she’d likely be the one to invite the farmer to dance first.
Elliott
It really depends on the music that’s playing. Elliot isn’t too embarrassed about dancing with someone in public, but he would much prefer a slow dance.
If the music fits a romantic mood, it’s likely that Elliott will ask the farmer to dance. If the farmer asks him first though, he’ll be pretty flustered and starry-eyed.
Once he gets into the flow of things, it’ll be difficult for the farmer to get him to leave.
Shane
Shane doesn’t want to dance. The farmer asking Shane to dance is a one-way ticket to Shane draining his drink and heading out the door.
Although, if the farmer was to follow Shane out, it’s likely that they might be able to strike up a conversation.
If the farmer apologizes for putting Shane on the spot, Shane might apologize for reacting the way he did. There’s a lot of “ifs” and “maybes,” but I think the time that the farmer and Shane spend chatting are just as good as a couple songs on the dance floor.
Sebastian
Sebastian is also a little nervous about dancing, mostly because no one’s ever asked him before. Seb is more likely to say yes if Abby and Sam aren’t there. He’d prefer dancing alone with the farmer.
Seb warms up to it really quickly. The farmer is someone who makes him feel comfortable.
His stamina is terrible though and he’ll get tired pretty quick, he’s okay with just sitting and chatting for the rest of the night.

I’d like to preface this post by saying that I love Stardew Valley. It’s a comfort game, and I have over 500 hours logged on Steam. That being said, as a disabled person, it sometimes makes me very, very upset. Why? Because of  the casual ableism in how it treats George Mullner.
George Mullner is a character in Stardew Valley who uses a wheelchair. He’s an older man, and generally pretty grumpy. He spends most of his time inside his house, watching television. With how the other villagers treat him, I don’t blame him. George later reveals in his six heart cutscene that he uses a wheelchair due to an injury working in the old mines, not because of his age.
So what’s the big deal? There’s a disabled character in the game, isn’t that a good thing? Yes, but. The way that other characters treat George, the only disabled person in the game, is where the trouble comes in.
In Harvey’s two heart cutscene, you walk into George’s house, and accidentally interrupt a house call by the doctor. He is telling George to make some “lifestyle changes,” telling him to reduce sodium and do some moderate exercise with his arms. (George’s sprite indicates that he self propels his wheelchair, which requires a lot of upper body strength. He’s already getting exercise through that.) George responds to Harvey, saying that he knows his own body, and doesn’t appreciate being told what to do with it. Harvey replies that he is a doctor, and spent 8 years in school, and thus he knows what’s best for George. They then notice the player, and George requests your second opinion. Your options are:
A) Tell George to follow Harvey’s advice. This option gets you +40 friendship points with Harvey, and is marked green on the Wiki. It’s obviously the choice the game wants you to make. Harvey reiterates that he is only trying to help, and George capitulates.
B) Say that George does know his own body. This option gets you -40 friendship points with Harvey. Harvey sighs, and threatens to tell George’s wife on him. George begrudgingly capitulates, and Harvey lectures you for sending his patient mixed messages.
What’s so bad about this? For one, doctors don’t always know best, especially when it comes to their disabled patients. If I had just listened to the first doctor I talked to about my disability, instead of self advocating and getting another, my degenerative condition would have gone undiagnosed and untreated for much longer. Potentially years. As a disabled person myself, I believe George when he says he knows his own body, because I know how wrong doctors can be.
The other main issue with this cutscene is how infantilized George is. He’s a grown man in his own doctor’s appointment, even if he is making a mistake in not listening to Harvey, he’s a grown man, and entitled to his own choices. But Harvey threatens to tattle to George’s wife about it. He’s treating George like a child, unable to make his own decisions, who has to be “managed” by his more abled partner.
The second ableist cutscene is Penny’s two heart cutscene, and in my opinion, this one is much worse. In it, George is checking his mailbox. He tries to reach a letter wedged in the back, and has some difficulty. He asks himself how he is going to reach it. Penny sees him, and comes over. She grabs his wheelchair and pushes him out of the way, grabbing the letter for him. George gets upset at Penny for treating him like he’s helpless. At this point the player comes on screen, and Penny asks if you were watching. The player has three options:
A) Say that no, you were just walking by. This has no effect on friendship.
B) Tell her she did a kind thing. Penny thanks you. This option gives you +50 friendship points, and is marked in green on the Wiki. It is the choice the game wants you to make.
C) Tell Penny she should have asked George before trying to help. Penny then apologizes to George, but you lose 50 friendship points with her. This is obviously not what the game wants you to do.
Regardless of what option you take, George apologizes to Penny for snapping at her. Penny asks the player what they think about growing old.
What’s bad about this scene? Well, for starters, by moving George’s wheelchair without consent, Penny commits assault. But George is framed as being unreasonable, because he’s upset that he was physically assaulted. Penny is a great character, and I love her, but in this cutscene she is both legally and morally in the wrong. And while the game does technically give you the option to call her out for it, it’s barely there, and strongly discouraged by gameplay. The real kicker is that this is the new dialogue for this interaction, as changed by the 1.4 update, *in an attempt to make it less ableist.*
Lastly, in George’s six heart event, he expresses quite a bit of internalized ableism. He says he wishes he could get up from “this infernal chair.” He tells the story of how thirty years ago, he was injured in a coal mining accident. There is no option for player interaction.
This cutscene is one that is somewhat more nuanced for me. It is true that some people hate that they’re disabled or need a wheelchair, especially in older generations. Internalized ableism is a real and terrible thing. The issue with it is that George is a fictional character, as written by a real person, who as far as I know is abled. And this is the problem. When a disabled character is written as having internalized ableism by an abled creator, that’s not internalized ableism, that’s just plain ableism. Why is it that almost every disabled character hates themselves or their disability? Why are they always unhappy?
Why does Stardew Valley have these scenes, and this ableism? Is it somehow important to the plot, or the characters? I don’t think so. And for me, and other disabled people playing the game as a form of escapism, or because the Valley is supposed to be a better place, It’s simply a jarring reminder that the real world hates us.

[Busts down the door to your ask box] HI UHHH Shane and Sebastian with a s/o who has generalized anxiety disorder or just any kind of anxiety disorder please?
you got it!
S/O who has Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Shane:
Shane isn’t well-equipped to handle someone else’s anxiety, which is why he puts a lot of effort into learning how to help his partner.
He asks his own therapist for advice on how to help them. If they don’t already have a therapist, and they feel like it would be beneficial, Shane will help them look for one.
Shane is best on helping with distractions, he’s pretty quick to distract his partner if they signal that they need that
Despite his hot-headed attitude, Shane is a pretty calming presence to be around when he likes you. He’s always felt a bit like a blackhole, and it’s partially true: the outside world seems to melt away when it’s just him and his partner.
Sebastian:
Sebastian is very familiar with anxiety, and struggles with social anxiety himself. While the context of him and his partner’s anxieties are different, there’s lots of crossover with the coping methods and treatments.
He also has the thing happen where if his partner is having anxiety, he suddenly feels less anxiety about doing whatever thing they’re worried about for him.
Whenever his partner is starting to look overwhelmed, Seb will ask if they need to talk it through or to be distracted. He also helps remind his s/o to take their meds if they take any.
He’s very vocal about complimenting his partner! He knows life with anxiety can be super hard, so he wants to make sure he provides active support and encouragement to them.

could you make some Marlon headcanons? thanks :D
First off... Oh, the absolute turmoil of whether I ship him with Marnie or Gil more. Both are such good fits for him! Marnie because she deserves better than stinky Mayor Lewis, and Marlon seems like quite a gentleman, and Gil because... I mean, they literally share a bed, first of all, and second of all...
I like to imagine Gil and Marlon take care of one another. They like to cook dinner and sweep together!
He had a hard time after losing his eye. Gil helped him through that.
He's always had a crush on Marnie since he met her! She finds her very pretty.
Marlon keeps slimes! He has a slime charmer ring so they don't hurt him, and loves raising baby slimes. They're so cute!
