Shouldn't | Sebastian x Reader, Abigail x Sebastian (Smut, mild Angst)
Category: Smut, mild Angst (Mandatory) Age: 18+ Trigger Warnings: Cheating, intercourse with someone else while in relationship, implied unhealthy relationship, arguing, public intercourse, explicit language Summary: The emo boy living in Robin's basement seemed to catch the new farmer's attention, that is until she realised he was in a relationship, but apparently that wasn't enough to stop either of them Request: N/A Contains Spoilers for: N/A Word Count: 3.9k
---
(Y/N) remembers all too well the first time she laid eyes on the dark-haired emo boy who resides in the basement of the local Carpenter.
The way she was chatting away with Robin about getting a chicken coop installed on her newly renovated farmland when she heard the light footsteps coming up the stairs.
Her eyes glanced aside to briefly acknowledge whoever was passing by but she had to double-take. So did he.
“Oh, Seb, this is (Y/N)! She’s the new girl who’s taken over the old farm to the West.” Robin introduces, “(Y/N), this is my son, Sebastian.”
The farmer has to lick her lips and swallow as if she forgot how to speak.
“A pleasure to meet you.” (Y/N) offers, smiling at the boy.
Sebastian’s expression remains stoic.
“Oh. You just moved in, right? Cool.” His voice is deeper than she expected and it only adds to the ridiculous attraction she has to him. “Out of all the places you could live, you chose Pelican Town?” The man adds.
“Sebastian!” Robin scolds, Sebastian briefly looking at his mother before shrugging.
“See you round.” He finishes with before disappearing up the corridor.
“I’m so sorry about him, (Y/N); he’s not much of a talker.”
“No need to apologise; it can be a little unnerving meeting someone new, especially in such a small town.” (Y/N) smiles, Robin appreciating her sympathy before they go back to discussing chicken coops and cow barns.
As the days pass by and (Y/N) regular finds herself passing by the beautiful house in the mountains on her way to the mines and to visit Linus, she bumps into the man more often than she expected.
She was initially surprised when she caught him smoking by the mountain lake, but she realised it, unfortunately, only added to the attraction yet again.
He’s not much of a talker, mainly making comments about how much he enjoys peace and quiet. She can’t tell if she’s meant to take hints from those, but she can’t just ignore him everytime they pass by one another.
“I suppose I should finally drop by the saloon.” The farmer utters to herself as she finishes up the organisation of her chests.
Glancing at her watch, she acknowledges the time is nearing five-PM. She’s been told that most the townspeople gather at the Stardrop Saloon on a Friday evening so she figures it’s about time she showed her face and saw everyone in the same room. It’ll be a good opportunity to get to know everyone better.
Washing her face off and changing out of her farmers clothes into something a little more presentable, off she sets toward the town square.
“Evening, Clint!” (Y/N) smiles as the both approach the entrance to the saloon.
“Uh, hi.” The local Blacksmith never was much of a talker.
She gestures for the man to enter the saloon first as she follows behind.
“Evenin’ Clint, evenin’ (Y/N) - glad to see you come by!” Gus calls as the pair enter, Clint briefly waving before heading to a seat next to Willy, (Y/N) smiling.
“Hey, Gus! Wow, it’s really busy in here tonight.” The woman comments, glancing around the busy room.
“Ain’t it just! Always rowdy in here on a Friday night! What can I get you?”
“Some wine would be great if you have some?” (Y/N) asks, Gus nodding and pouring a glass. “Thank you!”
The woman wanders around the room, having a chat with Elliott and Leah, Pam wrapping her arm around the woman and drunkenly telling Gus how lovely she is, Pierre immediately trying to sell her some Summer seeds, and Willy going off about another crazy crab story.
It’s when she sees the archway into the next room and she freezes momentarily and her eyes widen at the site she’s greeted with.
Him. With his hands and lips all over Abigail!?
Sam is there too, circling the pool table and figuring out his next room like his two friends aren’t totally getting it on right beside him. This is clearly a regular thing…
She can’t decide if she’s disgusted or turned on by the site of his lips dominating hers, and more so watching Abigail’s hand teasing the man’s crotch.
“Seb,” Sam whines, “Stop making babies, I think I’ve nearly beat you!”
(Y/N) briefly glances at the pool table and, if she weren’t still Gobsmacked by the site she was just greeted with, would chuckle at Sam’s incorrect optimism.
Abigail’s giggle almost - almost - disgusts the woman.
Is this… jealousy? She smiles to herself at the stupid thought.
Sebastian grins and wipes the saliva hanging from his mouth before turning back to Sam, but his eyes widen at the site of the farmer in the doorway.
Abigail notices her presence at the same time, grinning with such innocence, she jumps back onto the sofa and waves before grabbing her beer.
“Oh, hey (Y/N)!” She calls before taking a sip.
“Hey.” The farmer responds, not wanting to seem like she was affected by the sweet girl getting it on with the hottest man in the valley.
“Oh, hey, (Y/N)!” Sam adds, throwing the woman a wave also.
“Hey, Sam. Hey, Sebastian.” She realises that Sebastian is clearly surprised so tries to break the ice.
“Uh, yeah, hi.” He greets before grabbing his pool cue and joining Sam at the table. “Sam, you’re not even close to winning.”
“What!?” Sam whines.
The trio carry on their antics before (Y/N) turns around and chats with Shane instead, although he’s not exactly the most friendly company.
As the night ends, she hears loud conversation as the trio pass her on their way to the exit.
“See ya, farmer!” Sam shouts, waving and grinning, stumbling on his feet from the alcohol influence.
“Bye, (Y/N)!” Abigail adds, hanging on Sebastian’s arm, giggling like a little school girl.
“Have a good night, guys!” (Y/N) smiles, noticing that Sebastian doesn’t even look at her.
It’s unusual given that anytime she passes the man up by the mountain lake, he always chats to her. He doesn’t say much but he always gives her the time of day to say hello and goodbye. Wishes her luck and wellness on her travels. Yet here he is not evening acknowledging her existence.
“He wants you.” Shane’s voice makes her eyes widen and head dart to look at him just as the loud trio leave the building.
“Excuse me?” The woman’s voice has increased tenfold in pitch.
Shane silently laughs as he downs the rest of his beer and heads for the exit.
“Careful, farmer.” The man calls.
Gulping and downing the rest of the wine, the woman follows suit and paces, rapidly, back to the farm. For a very, very long night’s sleep.
Weeks and weeks after that day she painfully realises how often Abigail is at Robin’s place. How often they’re in the saloon together. How Sebastian fucking danced with her at the Flower Dance and didn’t even acknowledge her. She wasn’t fussed. She isn’t much of a dancer anyway, and hell, he definitely isn’t either but Abigail clearly was.
One day, early Summer, she’s leaving the mines in the late afternoon, hoping to make it to Clint’s in time to open up some geodes for her, when she sees that all-too-familiar dark hair. She stumbles to a halt and glances to the side, rolling her eyes at how petty she’s going to be but take the slight detour passed Linus’ home to get round to town.
As she turns in her steps, his voice stops her.
“I’m sorry.”
She freezes and keeps facing ahead, unsure what to say.
The silence lasts slightly longer than what would be comfortable, but she’s pretty sure Sebastian doesn’t care.
“Why?-”
“Don’t be dumb, (Y/N).” His interruption of her question catches her off-guard. She turns her head to face him but he’s still staring out across the lake with the cigarette in his hand. “I don’t know why I’m acting like this.”
“Like what?”
He finally turns to look at her and throws his finished cigarette into the lake. Her eyes follow it in disapproval.
“Sorry.” He adds. She nods. A random, familiar conversation amongst the elephant in the room.
He chooses to not say anything more and begins walking back to Robin’s. She sighs and continues her route to the Blacksmiths.
She hasn’t gone back to the saloon since that night. There’s something weirdly unpleasant about watching a man you find attractive getting it off with the local goth girl.
She’s no homewrecker, that’s for sure. Well, she thought she was sure until the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies.
Of course she went. It was her first time and she’d heard nothing but good things about this particular Summer event. And they weren’t wrong - it was beautiful.
She stands with Alex and Haley for a short while, Haley excitedly explaining how incredible the jellyfish look on her camera. She is listening, for most of it, but when she stares up to the end of the pier and see’s the goth girl clearly yelling at Sebastian about something, Sam on his phone clearing dismissing the argument. Similarly to when they were making out in the Stardrop, this clearly isn’t the first time.
“Looks like Abigail’s off on one again.” Alex’s comment captures the farmer’s attention.
“Hm?”
“Ah, Abigail and Sebastian, they’ve been dating for around five years now but she’s always screaming about something, usually about how unresponsive he is, and it’s pretty shit to watch. Sebastian’s a good guy, he just isn’t very social, and there ain’t nothing wrong with that.” The jock explains, Haley nodding but her attention stays on flicking through her camera roll.
“That’s a shame.” (Y/N) adds, pretty disheartened that Sebastian is continuing to be in a relationship that doens’t sound healthy.
With her new-found knowledge, she finds the courage to bid farewell to Alex and Haley and start pacing up the pier toward the trio. She waves to Vincent along the way.
The footsteps along the wooden boards prompt Sam to look up from his phone. He awkward waves and looks embarrassed at the situation the farmer’s walking into.
“Hey, (Y/N).” He greets, Sebastian’s eyes widening once again as he hears her name.
He looks at her but Abigail doesn’t even flinch, continuing her rant.
“You’re fucking doing it again!” The girl screams, (Y/N) turning her attention to Abigail. “You’re not fucking listening to me!”
“Abigail, can you do this later?” Sam braves, scratching the back of his head in awkwardness.
“Shut the fuck up, Samson.”
(Y/N)’s eyes widen at the harsh words. She’s surprised given how nice and sweet the goth girl seemed to be that night in the saloon.
“Is everything okay?” The farmer braves.
“Clearly fucking not!” Abigail instantly replies, glancing at the woman for barely a second before scowling at Sebastian once again.
Silence fills the area around them besides the background chatter from their fellow townspeople.
(Y/N) comments that she better go and talk to Lewis before dismissing herself, Abigail’s voice immediately going off once again.
None of my business. That’s what she thinks to herself, but she doesn’t like leaving people in that kind of situation.
She sighs and tries to focus on the beautiful event that everyone has gathered for.
Mayor Lewis announces that he’s setting the boat off and the chatter dies down.
The sight is beautiful. It seems surreal - something from a fairytale. It’s enchanting.
Gasps and whispers are heard all around as everyone enjoys the view; even Shane is laughing as Jas is in awe of the beauty. She can relate to that feeling.
Sometime during the show, (Y/N)’s gaze wanders to the right where she’s surprised to lock eyes with none other than Sebastian himself.
She tilts her head as if asking him what’s up. His eyes glance back at the ocean momentarily before back up at her.
He nods his head behind him, as if gesturing down the pier.
It’s a question.
The farmer’s eyes furrow slightly.
It’s not a question. It’s an invitation.
After a few moments, she nods. Slowly.
Sebastian turns to look at Sam and doesn’t say anything, but the blond understands somehow. They have been friends for years after all.
As the moonlight jellies fade away and the chorus of conversations gets louder, (Y/N) looks across the pier and acknowledges Sam and Abigail talking, the woman still seemingly frustrated.
Sighing, the farmer begins walking down the pier, she meets Sebastian’s gaze as he stands at the top of the beach, nodding before continuing his venture up into town.
A few brief conversations with her friends as she heads on up, she freezes just as she crosses the bridge out of the beach and back into town, glancing around to try and find out where the boy went.
“Hey!” That oh-so-sexy deep voice calls, (Y/N) turning to the right and seeing the man stood over toward the bridge that takes them to the museum.
(Y/N) heads on over, Sebastian still not saying much as he continues his path. She has no idea where they’re going.
The man finally stops, taking a seat on the bench just outside Clint’s place. He’s instantly lighting up a cigarette.
“You want one?” He offers, but (Y/N) shakes her head, taking a seat beside him.
“No, thank you.” She adds, voice quiet.
They hear the voices of the townspeople in the distance, everyone heading home after the main event, a few heading to the Stardrop as Gus offers to stay open late for the occasion.
Clint briefly passes by the pair, nodding his head.
“Goodnight, Clint.” (Y/N) smiles in her usual chipper manner.
“Night.”
Sebastian finishes up his cigarette and tosses it into the river. (Y/N) chooses to not comment on it this time, but he whispers an apology under his breath anyway.
He immediately reaches into his pocket for the packet but the woman rests her hand on his arm, silently telling him no.
“Talk to me.” She whispers.
He turns to look at her and his expression is unreadable.
“What’s going through your head?” The woman adds and that’s when a soft yet almost pained smile rests on his lips.
“How badly I wanna kiss you.”
She feels like her eyes could fall out their sockets with how wide they go. He snickers the sight.
“God, you’re so cute.” He adds before leaning forward and pressing his lips to hers, one hand resting on her waist while the other slides up into her hair.
She wants to stop him. She really should stop him. But she can’t. Her hands are gripping onto the bottom half of his t-shirt like it’s keeping her alive. Her lips opening to invite in his tongue. She moans at the sensation.
“You’re so fucking hot.” He utters as their lips part. She’s panting as if she’d just ran a marathon.
Her eyes look into his for any form of answers.
“We shouldn’t.”
“I know.” His answer is instant. “Trust me, I know, but I’m a bad fucking person, (Y/N), and she makes me fucking miserable. I need out but I’m too much of a pussy to leave. She fucking lives down the road from me, for God’s sakes.”
“Seb…” The woman whispers, eyes showing sadness.
“Say my name again.”
His response makes her body throb, whether she likes it or not.
“Sebastian.”
His lips are on hers once again, the kiss rougher this time.
She’s whimpering, his touch so dominating and she fucking loves it.
He manouvers her into his lap and she can’t even stop herself from grinding down on his lap.
“Fuck!” He groans briefly before kissing her once again.
“Seb,”
“Yeah?”
“Want you.”
She doesn’t know what’s come over her. She’s fantasised about this way too many times and she can’t fucking stop the disgusting lust taking over her brain.
“I’ve wanted you since the second you moved in.” He confesses, one hand holding the back of her head while the other slides under her skirt, immediately caressing her underwear.
She gasps but doesn’t try and stop his movements.
“You’re fucking soaked, holy fuck.” Sebastian comments, pulling back briefly to admire the view.
Her cheeks are flushed although you can barely tell in the dark.,
“Can’t help it.” She whispers. “I’ve wanted this.”
“Yeah? Wanted to have me touch you?” He asks, eyes searching hers for reciprocated feelings.
“So bad, Seb.”
“So fucking pretty, (Y/N).”
They’re making out again, Sebastian’s fingers increasing their pace before sliding her underwear aside.
They both curse at the same time at the feeling.
“So fucking wet.”
“Seb, please.” She whines, instinctively grinding down on his fingers.
“Please what, babe?”
She rests her forehead on his. Both of them sweating like crazy.
“I need you inside me.”
The moan that rips from Sebastian’s lips is pornographic.
‘“I’ve fucking dreamt of hearing those words from you.”
“Then do it.” She whines, continuing to grind down against his fingers.
“Lift your hips.” The man whispers, the woman complying.
His hand slides out of her underwear and makes quick work of unbuckling his belt and unzipping his jeans, pulling out his rock-hard and admirable length.
“Wanna suck your cock.” The woman whispers, the man moaning once again but stopping her from moving.
“Another time, gorgeous; right now I’m way too close already and I need to feel my cum in your pussy.”
The sudden filth makes her moan equally as loud and just as erotic as his.
Sebastian makes quick work once again of pulling her underwear aside under hear skirt and lining his cock up with her entrance.
“You ready?” He whispers, using his free hand to tuck a few strands of loose hair behind her ears.
She nods, desperately.
“Please, Sebastian.”
And that was all he needed before full sheathing inside her, (Y/N)’s hands covering both her mouth and his as they both continue with their erotic sounds.
Her eyes dart toward the town centre where people are still leaving the beach, conversations happening all over.
“You’re so big.” She manages to whimper, Sebastian gasping for breath.
“You’re so fucking tight.” He responds, capturing her lips with his own once more. “Craved this for so long.”
“Me too.” The woman nods.
Within seconds, the woman begins bouncing on the man’s cock, unable to help herself, and neither can he. His hips are slamming into her relentless. She’s gripping onto his shoulders for dear life and his hands are definitely bruising her hips as he aids her movements.
“Oh God,” The farmer cries out way too soon. Sebastian internally smirks at the sound.
“You gonna cum for me, angel?” The sudden petname makes her head spin. It’s so sweet. Not like what she thought Sebastian would be.
She nods desperately in response to his question though.
“Fuck, yes, Seb, please,” She begs, unable to think straight as she feels the coil tighten inside her.
“Can feel you tightening around me, (Y/N). Feel so fucking good.” His dirty talk only edges her closer to that sweet release.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck,” She can’t think. She can’t speak.
“Cum for me, gorgeous girl. Cum all over my cock.”
That was all she needed, Sebastian’s hand this time having to cover her mouth as her screams definitely echo across the valley. Sorry, Clint.
“That’s it, baby. Cum all over my cock.”
The man throws his head back as she clamps around his cock, his own release rapidly following suit.
“Fuck!” He groans, (Y/N) resting her forehead against his once more, their hooded eyes locking.
“Seb.”
“Yeah, babe?” He manages, voice strained.
She doesn’t respond, eyes holding various emotions.
He manages a smile and slows down his thrusts.
“I know.” He whispers, kissing her deep, but this kiss isn’t lustful… It’s passionate. It holds weight. Emotion.
“I want your cum.”
The sudden filth from the farmer’s lips makes him moan again and increase his pace once more.
“Yeah? You want me to fill you up, (Y/N)?”
“Please, Seb. Please.” Her begging is enough. His pace becomes rapid and he feels her tightening around him once again.
“Cum with me, baby. Cum all over my cock while I fill your pretty pussy with my cum.”
Another pornographic moan, and many desperate nods, and she does exactly that.
They both can’t stop how loud their sounds are as Sebastian releases deep inside her, the woman falling into euphoria, seeing stars as she gushes all over his cock, feeling him fill up every inch of her pussy.
“(Y/N)?” Sebastian manages once he comes down from his high, still with heavy breaths.
She manages to mumble something.
“You okay, sweetheart?”
She shivers at the petname and Sebastian chuckles.
“Sucker for being complimented, aren’t you, angel?”
She whines and falls against his chest, the man holding him close and stroking her back.
“You okay?”
She nods agains his shoulder.
“Words please.”
“I’m good.”
“Good.”
Silence embraces the pair until (Y/N) takes a deep breath and sits up.
“Can I get up?” She whispers, Sebastian nodding and helping her off, the man moaning as he watches remnants of his cum drip out of her.
“Fuck, that’s hot.”
She giggles and takes a seat on the bench beside him once more, Sebastian quickly putting his cock away and putting his jeans back on properly.
The farmer’s head rests on his shoulder, the man wrapping an arm around her.
“What a night, huh?”
“Definitely the best introduction to the Moonlight Jellies.” She jokes, both of them laughing.
Silence comes around once more. A classic.
“You should-”
“I’m sorry-”
They both laugh as they start speaking at the same time.
“You first-”
“Go on-”
Another round of laughter.
“I’m sorry.” Sebastian manages. “I really shouldn’t have done that while I’m still with Abigail, but I’m gonna break it off with her tomorrow. I can’t handle her shit anymore - it’s draining.”
“I’m sorry you’ve been stuck in that situation.” (Y/N) whispers, stroking her fingers along his hand.
“You’re really sweet. It’s a nice change.”
Silence.
“Can I walk you home?” He offers, (Y/N) nodding.
“That’d be nice, thank you.”
Their walk to the farm is peaceful, vague music coming from the Stardrop as they pass by, otherwise just talking about the town and some funny stories they both have.
“Wow, you’ve really tidied up the place, huh?” Sebastian comments as they approach the farm.
“Trying to.” (Y/N) giggles as they head up the few steps to her front door. “Thank you for tonight.”
“Please don’t thank me, what I did was wrong.” He begins, (Y/N)’s expression clearly dropping because his eyes widen as he stumbles back over his words. “Wait, no, sorry, I didn’t mean it like that- God, what a dumbass. Sorry. I fucking loved tonight, in fact, I’d love tonight to happen every night, but I meant I shouldn’t have done it given the current circumstances.” He manages, (Y/N) nodding and stepping forward to hug the man.
“Oh, this is nice.” He whispers, relaxing for probably the first time in months. Maybe years.
The farmer presses a kiss to the man’s cheek and unlocks her door.
“I’ll see you tomorrow, Sebastian.” She smiles.
“See you tomorrow, farmer.” He grins, lighting up a cigarette before heading up the path to his house, unable to stop smiling the whole way, thinking to himself that maybe there is some hope after all.

[Part 2] The Day After The Day Before | Sebastian x Reader, Platonic!Sam x Reader (Angst, mild Fluff)
Category: Angst, Fluff (Mandatory) Age: 18+ Trigger Warnings: Implied non-con, implied sexual assault, physical violence, blood, miscarriage, forced pregnancy, physical violence, verbal abuse, bleeding, head injury, hospitalisation, explicit language Ship: Sebastian x Reader, Platonic!Sam x Reader, implied Sam x Sebastian x Reader Summary: She'd heard so many good things about her best friend, Sam's, father, Kent, and it was true, he was lovely! Right up until he wasn't. How was she meant to tell Sebastian? Sam? The answer is simple: she couldn't. But apparently she couldn't hide it either. Request: N/A Contains Spoilers for: N/A Word Count: 6k
---
Almost six months have passed since the day (Y/N) learnt she was pregnant with that monster’s child. She decided to keep the baby. It was a hard decision, unsure whether she’d permanently be traumatised every time she looked at her child but thought about it more prominently as Sam’s brother than Kent’s son or daughter.
Sebastian and Sam, as promised, supported her the whole way. It’s not like she had anyone else. Harvey and Maru were judge-free too and have been helping her throughout the entire process.
Sebastian and Sam moved on to the farm with her, Sam occupying the spare room whilst Sebastian shared hers. It was fun. They helped her grow once again into the bright, chatty woman she once was before he took it all away.
Jodi never welcomed Sam back into their home after that Godforsaken day. She spread rumours about Kent’s beaten up face. Said that Sebastian had gaslighted Sam into abusing the family. Said that Sebastian was the one who raped (Y/N). Oh, yeah, a real likely story. Robin and Demetrius tried to get answers out of Sebastian about what actually happened, but he didn’t give them any information. He simply told his mother that he was moving onto the farm with (Y/N) and Sam to support her as she’s pregnant. Clarified it wasn’t his child. Robin didn’t interfere much more than that, Demetrius making snark comments at the boy which is just ignored.
Abigail regularly came by when she could, but Caroline forbid it. Naturally, Jodi opened her mouth and made the farmer the talk of the town. No one really gossiped about it except Jodi. She would do anything to protect her husband, and if that meant making everyone in Pelican Town hate the little bitch who took over the farm then so be it.
On the farm, Sam absolutely adored her chickens. Who knew the skater boy enjoyed farming so much? Sebastian enjoyed collecting fruit from all the trees, being sad in Winter when that wasn’t something he could do. They always went out foraging for some crystal fruits though. The pair made sure that she didn’t have to lift a finger anymore. Not whilst pregnant.
“I wanna go to the saloon.” (Y/N) admits one Friday night as the trio are watching some grid ball game on the television.
The two men look at her with surprised expressions on their faces.
“You serious?”
She nods but keeps her eyes on the screen across the room.
“I miss playing pool on Friday nights. I miss Gus and Emily listening to my boring farm talk, I miss Clint telling me about what cool shit he managed to forge together out of the leftover ore I had, I miss Willy’s voice shaking the place as he tells Clint all about some huge as Scorpion Carp he found…” The woman trails off. “I miss being normal.” “Then let’s go to the saloon.” Sam states. “People are gonna stare…” The woman trails off. “Let them; you look stunning.” Sebastian tells her, watching her blush and curl into him. “He’s right.” The blond adds, smirking and flashing a wink. “Come on, you’ve got me and Seb by your side - nothing will happen to you. Besides, as much as my mom is capable of opening her huge fucking mouth, the town adores you too much to listen.”
(Y/N) wishes she believed him. She’s trying to.
Sam calls up Abigail, asking her to come down and meet them at the saloon. She’s never been so excited to watch the boys play pool.
They walk down, basking in the late-Spring breeze that surrounds them.
“I’ve missed town.” (Y/N) sighs, smiling at the sight of the buildings around her in the town square. “I dunno why, it’s shite.” Sebastian remarks, the trio chuckling at the sarcasm.
They come to a halt outside of the Stardrop, the two men patiently waiting for the woman to be ready to go inside.
“It’ll be okay. My family don’t even come in here.” Sam reassures.
She nods and they finally enter. Peoples heads turn to acknowledge whoever has just walked in and the chat immediately dies down.
(Y/N) wonders if Sebastian is nervous, knowing the rumours were that he’s the one who knocked her up without consent. He doesn’t seem phased. The truth is he isn’t. The people who matter know the truth, and anyone who believes the lies aren’t worth having around.
The farmer’s convinced everyone heard her gulp.
Sam and Sebastian don’t falter, the latter reaching for the woman’s hiding and offering an encouraging smile. He’ll take anything that is thrown her way. Both of them will. She knows it. She’s grateful.
As Sebastian leads her into the pool room, Elliott’s voice speaks up.
“(Y/N),” He calls, the woman freezing. Sam and Sebastian do too. The trio turn to look at the man sitting at the bar, everyone’s eyes on them. “It’s good to see you back.”
The tears that well up in her eyes are staining her cheeks before she can even attempt to hide them.
Elliott smiles and stands up, Leah admiring his confidence, approaching the farmer, opening his arms for a hug which she graciously accepts.
“Thank you so much.” She whimpers into his burgundy jacket. “No need, little lady. We’ve missed you more than you know.”
The red-head offers a smile at the two men whom the farmer walked in with, them returning it with a nod.
“How many weeks are you now?” He asks, admiring the prominent bump under the woman’s dress. “Twenty-four.” She whispers, naturally resting her hands there. “You know if it’s a boy or a girl yet?” “Keeping it a surprise.” “Nice.”
Elliott heads back to the bar, taking a seat by Leah, and (Y/N) continues her path toward the pool table with Sebastian and Sam.
The tension is already gone thanks to Elliott and the night is pretty relaxing. Abigail joins them shortly after they arrive, her constantly talking to the baby bump as if it’s gonna respond.
“I’m gonna go order a drink from the bar - I wanna chat with Gus and Emily.” (Y/N) states, her three friends nodding and smiling in admiration. “Okay, doll; we’ll be right here.”
She nods at Sebastian with a smile before heading over to the bar, standing beside Elliott.
“Hey, Gus,” She greets, the bartender offering her a warm smile. “Evenin’, farmer. Good to see ya face again. What’re ya havin’?”
She giggles at his attempted farmer’s accent.
“Just a blackcurrant and soda water, please?” “Comin’ right up, ma’am.” “It really is good to see your face again, (Y/N).” Elliott comments, turning to face the woman once again. “I appreciate it so much.” She whispers, tearing up again.
He smiles and wraps his arm around her before picking up his drink.
“Ladies and Gents, if I could have your attention, please,” The red-head begins, (Y/N)’s eyes widening. “I’d like to raise a toast to our sweetheart of a farmer who joined our wonderful town and naturally made it a better place. She hasn’t been able to have our support lately but I’d like everyone now to raise a toast to this little lady in congratulations of the wonderful baby they’re carrying.” He announces, eyes locking with everyone in the bar. “To (Y/N)!”
And everyone does toast. Drinks in the air. Everyone cheering. Hell, even Clint does and he’s as quiet as anything.
The woman hides her face in Elliott’s jacket in embarrassment. He chuckles and strokes her back.
There’s some fun chat and banter throughout the bar as (Y/N) catches up with everyone, quickly feeling a lot more welcome in her local despite what her worrying thoughts warned her about.
So much fun going on that she doesn’t acknowledge the saloon doors opening.
“Well, well, well, this all looks awfully friendly.”
(Y/N) freezes up at the voice. She’s stood at the bar talking to Emily, the door directly behind her, along with the wife of that monster.
“Surprised the whore actually decided to show her face again.”
The farmer’s eyes clench shut as she fears everything that’s about to happen. Sam and Sebastian hear the voice and stride over to the archway that connects the pool room to the main bar.
“I presume you’ve also fucked the bitch by now, Samson.” Jodi snarks, turning to look at her son who stares her down.
Sebastian looks ready to kill.
“Jodi, I’m afraid if you’re going to be rude, I’m going to have to ask you to leave.” Gus states, trying to remain professional.
The woman smirks.
“Why do I have to leave when that little rat has been spreading her legs for everyone in order to ruin my life!?”
(Y/N) is trembling now, hands gripping onto the bar as if it’s keeping her from collapsing.
“Jodi,” Elliott speaks up, giving the woman a glare that tells her not to start. “Gus asked you to leave.” “Are you all stupid!?” “Mom-” “Don’t you dare call me your fucking mother!” Jodi instantly interrupts her son, pointing her finger.
Sam gulps but is prepared to fight this battle.
“And you!” The woman continues, pointing at the dark-haired boy standing beside her son. “You manipulative, gaslighting little shit!”
Sebastian doesn’t falter at her words. She’s delusional.
“What did you think you’d gain out of making my own son hate his father!?” “Kent did that himself.” The boy remarks, Jodi’s eyes flaring up with more anger. “You’re sick. You’re fucked in the head.”
Sebastian’s convinced that if his mother was here, she’d have lost her shit at Jodi by now.
“Perhaps, but my husband didn’t rape someone half his age whilst still married, so I guess I’ve got that going for me.”
The tension in the room is suffocating. People’s eyes widen as they acknowledge the truth in Sebastian’s words. Kent was the one who got her pregnant.
“Let’s just go.” (Y/N) manages, turning to look at her two best friends.
Jodi scoffs.
“Yeah, that’s right, run back to that petty little farm that you can’t even run properly so drag those two down with you. My son had a future before you fucked him up!”
The farmer sighs and turns around to finally meet Jodi’s glare.
The woman’s eyes widen at the sight of her belly and (Y/N) very rapidly realises that Jodi didn’t know.
“You have got to be fucking joking me.”
The woman at the bar freezes, shaking once more.
“I’m just gonna go home.” She manages, taking a step forward and turning toward the archway where her two best friends are standing, but that’s when Sebastian screams.
“NO!”
Everything happens too fast.
(Y/N)’s head whips back around just in time to see Jodi lunging for her, shoving the farmer with enough force to send her stumbling back into the bar, knocking the wind out of her, before falling into the bar stools and to the ground.
Sebastian and Sam dove forward but weren’t as fast as the silent man in the blue Joja jacket who grabs Jodi by her throat and slams her up against the wall of the saloon.
(Y/N)’s breaths are heavy, moaning in pain, hands wrapping around her belly as her two best friends drop down beside her, along with Elliott and Leah.
“I was always taught to never hit a woman but you’re no fucking lady.” Shane all but growls as Jodi gasps for breath, hands clawing at the man’s hand in an attempt to alleviate his grip. “Shane-” She gasps, eyes wide. “I could fucking kill you, you know that?” The man warns, grip not faltering. “You had the audacity to tell everyone in this town that Sebastian touched her without permission when in reality it was your shit-eating husband.” “Shane…” Marnie’s voice manages to reach his ears. He forgot she was here, to be honest. He doesn’t care.
Marnie isn’t telling him to stop, no. Marnie agrees wholeheartedly with his actions. He knows that. She’s warning him to be careful. To not get caught.
With another shove into the wall, Shane drops the woman, Jodi dropping to her knees as she gasps for breath once more. The man spins around and acknowledges Sebastian and Sam helping the pregnant woman stand up.
And that’s when he sees it.
“Get her to Harvey.” He states, eyes wide. “Yeah, no shit.” Sam manages, not intending to come across harshly. “No, seriously,” Shane adds. “Guys…” Elliott speaks up, Sebastian and Sam looking down and seeing the red stains on the floor where (Y/N) was lay.
The same red stains at the bottom of her dress. The same red stains leaking down her legs.
The two boys’ eyes widen and they look at one another before looking at the girl they’re holding who’s eyes are also on the mess.
“No…” She whimpers, legs giving in but Sebastian and Sam catch her. “Come on, baby, we’ve gotta get you to Harvey. The dark-haired boy manages, heading toward the door. “No, no, no, no, no, please!” She’s screaming. Sobbing. Her heart is shattering and everyone can see it.
Shane opens the door for the boys, sprinting ahead and banging on Harvey’s door.
“HARV, OPEN UP! EMERGENCY!” He yells, Sam and Sebastian slowly approaching with the screaming woman in their arms. “FOR FUCKS SAKE, HARVEY, OPEN UP!”
The doctor sprints to the door scared that Shane has relapsed once again, but this is so much worse.
“She’s bleeding.” They’re the only words Sam manages as he meets the scared gaze of Harvey.
He nods and ushers them inside, quickly preparing a bed for the woman where he injects her with some substance or other to knock her out, her screams dying down.
Sam and Sebastian are stood by the bed, bloodstains on their clothes, eyes wide as Harvey begins to work on the woman.
“Guys, come on, you’ve gotta let him work.” Shane attempts, they listen. They stare at the woman with lost eyes but let Shane lead them outside of the room.
They’re lost. Sam and Sebastian. Shane is talking to them both but neither of them can understand any of the words he’s saying. They simply manage to find each others’ gaze and cling onto each other in a bone-shattering hug.
Shane’s breaths are heavy. He isn’t exactly best friends with the farmer but she’s the only one who never judged him. She would always sit with him and have a drink. Buy him a pint or two. Saved his life when he hit an all-time low. He saw her as a friend, and she saw him as an equal. That was more than enough for him.
When he heard the gossip that Kent was attacked by Sebastian because the soldier threatened to expose that the quiet emo both was a rapist, he didn’t believe it. How could he? (Y/N) treated Sebastian with the same amount of care that she treated himself with. Now he knows he was right. Sebastian isn’t a bad guy, but that fucking asshole…
Hours pass. How many? Neither of the men are sure. Sebastian told Shane to go home after he calmed down. Thanked the man for defending (Y/N). Shane could only apologise that he wasn’t quick enough to stop the initial hit - Sam and Sebastian told him it wasn’t his fault. He wishes he believed them.
Harvey’s footsteps echo across the surgery, Sam and Sebastian immediately up on their feet and looking at the man with so much anticipation
“She’s still out but will probably wake in the next hour or so.” The doctor begins, the men somewhat nodding but awaiting the more important information.
Harvey sighs and removes his glasses from his face and ruffling his hair.
“Gents, I’m sorry, but the baby didn’t make it.”
Sebastian’s body starts to shut down. He remains frozen, eyes staring lifelessly at the brunet in front of him.
“Seb,” Sam whispers, noticing the absence of life in his friend.
The blond’s heartbroken. He’s crying. Not only was that his best friend’s kid, it was his half-brother.
Sebastian’s face turns to look at Sam, still remaining stoic.
“Why her?” He whispers, Harvey tearing up at the question. “What did she ever do to deserve this?”
Sam lets out a sob and shakes his head, looking around the room for the answer that doesn’t exist.
“She didn’t deserve this.” Is all he can whisper.
Another two hours pass. The two men are sitting on either side of her bed as she stirs. No words have been said between them.
A groan rumbles in her throat as the blinding light of the hospital room takes over her vision.
Sebastian is holding one hand whilst Sam is holding the other.
“Take it easy.” Sebastian whispers.
When the room finally starts to make more sense, the woman glances over at Sebastian and Sam.
“Hey…” It’s muffled against the oxygen mask covering her face. “Hi, gorgeous.” The dark-haired boy murmurs, forcing a smile despite his painfully obvious tear-stains.
She takes a moment to remember everything that happened but the gasp that escapes her follows a number of beeps from the monitors she’s hooked up to.
“Woah, hey, hey, hey, baby, calm down,” “Woah, (Y/N), it’s okay!”
Sam and Sebastian are both up on their feet trying to calm the now frantic woman down.
“Breathe, baby, breathe.” Sebastian attempts, watching her head drop down and hands jump to her, now, flat belly. “No, no, no, NO, NO, NO!” She’s ripping the mask off of her face, tearing at all the wires in her body, throwing the bedsheets off of her as she gets a better look at her stomach.
Sebastian wraps his arms fully around the woman, cocooning her against him, whilst Sam stumbles back and throws his head back against the wall. His fists are clenched as silent tears pour down his face.
It took the woman months to come to terms with her pregnancy and decide she wanted it, picturing the perfect life with Sebastian and Sam by her side, but it's been ripped away from her.
“WHERE’S MY BABY!? WHERE’S MY BABY!?” She’s screaming, Sebastian sobbing and trying to keep her trapped against his body to stop her flailing about. “(Y/N), doll, shh, it’s okay, it’s okay, breathe for me.”
Harvey comes sprinting into the room and sees the state of the woman who’s just woken.
“SOMEBODY TELL ME WHERE MY BABY IS-” The woman’s screams fade out as Harvey injects her with some sort of drug to knock her out. “I’m sorry, I was upstairs organising some files.” The doctor utters, Sebastian pulling back from the woman so Harvey can fix up her wires.
The two boys don’t respond.
“What do we do, Harvey?” Sam whispers, still leaning against the wall, staring aimlessly at the unconscious woman. “She’s going to take a while to recover but with the right support around her, I think she’ll be fine.”
More silence.
“Can she ever get pregnant again?” Sebastian manages, voice barely above a whisper. “Yes.”
It’s barely enough to relieve either of the men.
“Can she have sex?” The darker-haired boy continues to ask as many questions as possible, wanting to be ready to answer everything the woman may have when she wakes again. “Yes, but I would recommend waiting a couple of weeks before inserting anything into her vagina. Her cervix is open so she’s prone to infection.” Harvey answers all the questions with explicit professionalism. “Is she gonna be in pain?” Sam manages, his eyes flitting to Harvey for a moment before returning to (Y/N). “Some pain in the lower abdomen, similar to menstrual cramp pain, is quite common after a miscarriage,”
Sebastian’s eyes clench shut at the word itself.
“This should only last a couple of days really; if there’s any noticeably bad pain then you can come back to me and I can offer painkillers, but I won’t let her out of here until she feels up to it anyway.”
They both manage a nod.
“Is there anything we can do for her?” “She needs to continue to eat and drink plenty even though she may not feel up to it. Try and stop her doing physical work on the farm, she needs rest.” The boys continue to nod in understanding as Harvey speaks. “She will probably struggle to sleep for a while honestly.”
There’s silence after that as Harvey switches about the wires and tubes in the woman’s body.
“If she wakes up again, press this button and I’ll be right in.” “Thanks, Harvey.”
It’s an hour later when the doctor returns with a knock at the door.
“Sorry to interrupt, gents, but Robin is here and has asked if she can see you, Sebastian?” Harvey states, Sam looking at his friend, curious for the response. “Is she welcome in here?”
Harvey nods.
“Of course.”
A moment later, another knock followed by Robin’s entry. She looks like she’s going to cry when she looks at (Y/N)’s, practically lifeless, body laying on the medical bed.
“Hi…” She whispers, looking at her son with uncertainty.
Sebastian stands up and hugs his mother in that moment.
“Oh, Sebby…”
A sob escapes the boy’s lips.
“She didn’t deserve any of this, mom.”
Robin remains silent for a moment, glancing over at the blond across the room who’s staring at the floor, crying once again.
“What’s gone on, Sebastian?” She whispers, hands stroking the back of her heartbroken son.
The pair pull back and sit down, Sebastian’s eyes returning to the unconscious woman.
“(Y/N) and I have had a ‘friends with benefits’ arrangement for a little while now - discussed dating and stuff but decided we’re not quite ready for it,” The boy begins, Robin holding his hand and stroking it. “I know full well I’ll never love another woman the same way I love her.”
He pauses, trying to find a starting point.
“When you and Demetrius were away on your anniversary trip, I had Abigail, (Y/N) and Sam over to play some video games and shit. Everyone left except (Y/N), but she was packing her stuff as if ready to leave; she normally stays the night. I wrapped my arms around her and asked if she was leaving already but she froze.” He pauses, remembering the exact moment he held the woman he loves in his arms and she froze up like he just made the worst mistake of his life. “Like, really froze. It scared me. I let go. She said she had some farm stuff to take care of and started heading toward the door but I grabbed her wrist - not hard! But she fucking screamed. Stumbled into the wall and stared at me like I just burnt her.”
Robin doesn’t tell the boy off for swearing on this occasion.
“She ran out after that. I was scared shitless. I saw it in her eyes that she was fucking traumatised. She’s never been like that - certainly not with me. She loves physical affection and shit, she would never react like that. Anyway, I sat and thought it over for a while, worried about what the fuck I’d done to make her so fucking scared of me, and realised I hadn’t done anything, and even if I had, she would’ve told me. We’re best friends, she tells me everything…”
Robin is tearing up as she listens to what her son has been through whilst she’s been completely oblivious.
“I decided to deal with it later cause it was late. Next morning I call by Pierre’s to ask Abby for her help, grabbed Sam too, and told them what had happened. Sam immediately suggested that someone’s hurt her, agreeing that it’s not like her to turn down physical affection, especially screaming from a touch. We went to her place - she was still in the same clothes she fell asleep in which worried me too. We asked her if someone had hurt her and she lost it. She broke down in tears as we asked her more and more questions trying to get to the bottom of whatever the fuck had happened.”
Sebastian pauses as he sniffles and wipes the tears from his face.
“She told us she was raped; admitted it was Kent. Said she didn’t wanna tell us because he’s Sam’s dad. She didn’t want Sam to lose the father he’s been waiting years for.”
Robin’s eyes turn to the blond across the room, seeing his eyes clenched shut, fists tight, tears falling.
“Sam didn’t believe her first - I don’t blame him, but I knew (Y/N) would never lie to us, especially about something like this. Sam stormed out and gave Kent a hefty punch or two, I followed - scared Sam might take it too far.”
He fucking deserved it. Those are Sam’s unvoiced thoughts.
“He fucking deserved it though.” Sebastian voices his thoughts anyway. “I went in and Kent was mouthing off some shit about how she was asking for it and shit-talking her, so I lost my fucking cool and gave the guy a good hit.” “Or ten.” Sam quietly remarks, a very brief smirk on his lips. “The asshole deserved it. Anyway, I was stopped because (Y/N) and Abby turned up and I didn’t want her to see that. She passed out after Kent spat out some more utter bullshit. I carried her up to ours since you guys were away - figured she could do with somewhere away from her own house and that fucker’s.”
Robin is crying but lets her son finish.
“I just let her rest for a few days. She didn’t say or do much, we just watched some TV, I read to her, made her food, bla bla, then one day she asked if she could speak to Maru as she realised she could have damage, infections, possible pregnancy, which I hadn’t even fucking thought about.” “You can’t beat yourself up over this, Seb.” Sam manages, sparing a glance at the dark-haired boy.
Sebastian gulps but continues.
“I asked if she was sure and she said yes, so we spoke to Maru who got us in with Harvey that very evening. Found out she was pregnant. We slept on it since she was unsure what she wanted to do. Sam came over the next day to see how (Y/N) was doing - and because Jodi and Kent kicked him out, Jodi losing her shit and saying I was gaslighting them both or some dumb fucking shit,” He takes a deep breath, trying to remain calm. “We eventually agreed to move to the farm, all three of us, and she decided she was going to keep the baby - wanted to try and get something good out of this whole shit show.” “So when did Kent actually…” Robin trails off, not wanting to break her son even more. “End of Spring - like, a fucking week after he came back to Pelican Town.” Her son confirms. “Anyway, I’m sure you’ve heard the drama of what happened in the saloon. (Y/N) decided she missed going out. We were all very aware of Jodi spreading utter bullshit in order to protect to darling husband and whatever, so we’d all been on the down-low for a while. We decided to go to the saloon, Sam and I very ready to protect her from any bullshit thrown her way, but Elliott grabbed our attention as we came in and said she’d been missed. Later in the night, she was chatting to everyone, Elliott raised a toast to congratulate her on her pregnancy, it was really nice to see her smiling again.” “She was glowing.” Sam whispers, Sebastian managing a momentary smile. “Yeah. Anyway, Jodi turns up at like eleven PM, starts shit-talking (Y/N), me, Sam… You probably would’ve smacked her.”
Robin attempts a small chuckle.
“(Y/N) says she’s just gonna leave and doesn’t want to cause any drama, but Jodi obviously wasn’t aware she was pregnant and lost her shit, shoving her back into the bar. She fell down, smacked her body on the stools and her head on the floor. Sam and I were too far away to fucking stop it. Shane stepped in though, pinned the bitch up against the wall and threatened her. (Y/N) was bleeding… a lot. Shane helped Sam and I get her here, but she, uh, the baby didn’t make it.”
Silence.
“And now we’re here.” “What time even is it?” Sam manages. “Just after one PM.” Robin confirms.
The boy nods.
“I’m sorry you felt like you couldn’t talk to me about all this. I can’t even begin to imagine how hard this has been on you. Both of you.”
Sebastian attempts an appreciative smile but it barely lasts a second.
“Come here, Samson.” Robin adds, standing up and opening her arms for the boy. “Robin, thank you, but-” “Come here.” She doesn’t take no for an answer, simply smiling and accepting the embrace. “You’re always welcome into my home.”
He squeezes a little tighter.
“Thank you.” “You and Sebastian have always been like brothers anyway.”
He pulls back and smiles
“He drives me crazy like a brother.”
She manages a chuckle.
“He drives me crazy like a son.” “I’m right here.” It’s a sarcastic remark from the dark-haired boy. “Has she woken up yet?” The carpenter asks, taking a seat back beside her son. “Yeah, but she realised her bump was gone and lost her mind; Harvey had to inject her with some anaesthetic or something to knock her back out.” “Oh, bless her.”
Some time passes and Robin says she’ll head off, not wanting to intrude when the woman wakes up once more. What she doesn’t tell either of the men is that she’s going to add some renovations to the woman’s farm, free of charge, to help accommodate all three of them, and a baby in future if she wishes to try again.
Sam stands up and walks over to sit beside his best friend, taking his hand.
“I’m sorry, Seb.” “Do you think she’ll be okay?” Sebastian whispers, not taking his eyes off of the girl.
The blond pauses, contemplating his answer.
“We’ll make sure she is.”
Another forty-five minutes pass before the woman begins to stir, Sebastian immediately noticing the way her eyelids twitch. He presses the emergency button to contact Harvey straight away, praying that they can keep her calm enough to stay awake this time round.
The running footsteps resound in the small medical room the three of them are occupying, Harvey unlocking the door with worried eyes.
“She’s twitching a little - stirring - I think she’s gonna wake up; I figured I’d get you here first.” Sebastian briefs, the doctor nodding and checking over her machines and stats once again.
The woman groans, feeling exhausted, which is bizarre given that she’s waking up. Her body feels like it’s got the weight of Lewis’ truck resting on it.
What the hell?
“(Y/N), can you hear me?”
Is that… Harvey’s voice?
“If you can hear me, love, can you try and give me a sign? Wiggle your fingers or toes?”
Why the hell wouldn’t she be able to hear him? He sounds like he’s right beside her.
Nonetheless, she complies and attempts to move her digits.
“Perfect. Okay, (Y/N), I’m going to tell you a few things but I need you to remain calm, okay? Despite everything I’m reminding you of, you’re one-hundred percent safe right here right now.”
She’s clearly in the hospital.
Another mining accident? She usually can hear Marlon nagging in her ear by now though about how reckless she is.
“You’re in the hospital due to getting hurt when in the saloon. You were pushed and fell to the floor. Do you remember?”
Who in the hell of Stardew Valley would push her?
“(Y/N)...”
Sebastian?
“Can you hear me, doll?”
Attempted finger movements.
She also tries to turn her head toward her best friend’s voice but her eyes aren’t assisting just yet.
“Hey, pretty girl,” She fails to see the soft smile on Sebastian’s face, perfectly paired up with the tears staining his cheeks. “You remember Sam’s family?”
Vincent?
Jodi?
Oh, fuck-
Jodi.
Kent.
Another gasp and she feels multiple hands on her body as if pinning her down.
“Breathe, doll, it’s okay.” “(Y/N), remember that you’re safe.” Harvey inputs. “Don’t panic, you’re okay, I promise.”
The pet name ‘baby’ is on the tip of Sebastian’s tongue, but there’s a time and a place for that…
“Just focus on staying calm, doll, or else we can’t help you.”
She was pregnant.
The saloon.
Elliott.
Jodi was pissed.
Jodi didn’t know she was pregnant - how!?
She was pushed.
The blood.
Bleeding.
Her baby…
“Try and stay calm, (Y/N).” Harvey’s voice interrupts her thoughts once more; it’s then that she realises how obnoxiously loud the beeping of her heart monitor is as it gets faster.
With struggling efforts, the woman manages to move one of her hands across her body to her flat stomach.
She lost the baby.
There’s no way she had the baby - she had two months left.
Is that possible?
Perhaps this was the way it was meant to be.
With strain, she manages to open her eyes, the blinding hospital lights barely hurting in comparison to the loss of her baby.
“Welcome back, (Y/N).” The doctor greets, but she hasn’t even looked at any of the men in the room yet. “Just to make you aware, I’m in the room along with Sebastian and Sam.”
Sam…
“Hey, (Y/N).” The blond comments.
She doesn’t respond.
Eventually, she manages to turn her head and acknowledge the doctor beside her. He offers a reassuring smile and waits patiently for her to feel comfortable.
She then rolls her head around and sees the two boys standing side by side, both crying and looking like they haven’t slept in days. Or showered. Or eaten.
With slow, mechanical movements, the farmer reaches up and slowly slides down the oxygen mask covering her mouth. She licks her lips and moistens her mouth, feeling just how dry her throat is.
“You two look like shit.”
Sam can’t help the laugh that erupts from his throat, mixed with a sob or two. Sebastian simply smiles and shakes his head.
“Missed you too, gorgeous.” The latter mutters. “You’re not lookin’ too hot yourself, farmer.” Sam adds, jokingly.
She attempts a smile before turning to look back at Harvey.
“How long have I been out?” “Eighteen hours-ish.” The doctor confirms. “You woke up about ten hours ago but weren’t doing so good.”
She nods.
“I lost the baby?”
The anguish on Harvey’s face is enough to know.
“I’m really sorry, (Y/N). I tried everything I could.”
She simply smiles and nods before turning to look at the two boys on the other side of her.
“Are you mad?”
The men's faces contort into confusion and shock.
“Mad? Why on Earth would we be mad? Of course we’re not mad, doll, we’re just glad you’re okay.” Sebastian assures the woman, resting a hand on her matted hair. “(Y/N), I’m just glad you’re alive and breathing.” Sam adds.
Harvey answers every question the woman has, brings her some food and drink, and leaves the trio to chat amongst themselves.
“I love you both very much.” “We love you very much, pretty girl.” Sebastian smiles. “My mom came by earlier, by the way - I told her everything.”
(Y/N) nods.
“Does she hate me?” “Of course she doesn’t hate you, (Y/N).”
Silence.
“I want to go home.” “We can go home whenever Harvey says so.” “Will you both stay with me?” “(Y/N),” “Doll,”
Sam and Sebastian begin at the same time, (Y/N) giggling at their synchronisation.
“I think I can speak for Sebastian as well as myself when I say we don’t plan on leaving your side for the rest of our lives.”
It was at that moment that (Y/N) looked at Sam in the same light she looks at Sebastian in.
Love.
Adoration.
Romantic?
But three’s a crowd.
Right?
Sebastian sees the conflict in the woman’s eyes and it makes him grin.
“We’ll figure it out, pretty girl.” The emo boy comments, flashing a wink as she realises he can read her like a picture book. “I love you both.” “We love you too, farmer.”

---
The concert was absolutely immense given that Zuzu city isn’t really that big.
She didn’t think the turn out for a small edgy band from Pelican Town would draw out such a huge crowd. She went along with her friend to go and see the band that ‘they liked before they were cool’.
It’s something they laugh about.
(Y/N) was watching Sam on YouTube way before they were an official band. Just when it was Sebastian, Sam and Abigail in Sam’s bedroom just practicing and creating new songs.
If love at first sight is real, she felt it there and then with Sebastian and Sam, and she’s sure Abigail too if she liked women that way.
This isn’t the first time (Y/N) has seen the band live but it always feels like it. They rarely perform live since they’re so small but it’s always a treat when they do, and (Y/N) is always on the list for presale tickets - her best friend has no idea how.
“Zuzu City - how are we feeling!?” The supporting act shouts out. Everyone cheers and screams.
Despite being a fairly quiet woman herself, the thrill of being so intoxicated in this crowded, loud environment is always thrilling. The bass pounding in her chest, the volume from the speakers simply blocking out the rest of the world - it’s refreshing, in a weird way.
(Y/N) and her friend aren’t familiar with the supporting act but still dance and cheer along. There’s alcohol coarsing through her system - not a lot, but enough to enhance the feelings.
The women are right at the front, up against the gates, security guards right in front of them, trying to not nod their heads or tap their feet to the music. It’s always quite funny to watch. (Y/N) has no idea how they can just remain so stoic when such incredible talent is happening right behind them.
“Ladies and gentlemen, are we ready for the main event!?”
Another round of screams and cheers.
She can’t say she’s entirely surprised at how popular the concert is. Sebastian, Sam and Abigail are absolutely gorgeous, and the fact that they’re all musically talented is just a fantastic added bonus.
“I said: Ladies and gentlemen, are we ready for the main event!?” The presenter repeats, cohercing an even louder round of screams and cheers from the audience.
(Y/N) and her friend grin at each other, jumping up and down as they scream.
“Please welcome to the stage: Sam, Sebastian and Abigail!”
The screams of all the men and women in the audience are piercing but (Y/N) can’t complain, she’s included.
The trio make an entrance, the volume of the audience forever increasing. You don’t realise how loud you can scream until your celebrity crush is entering a live stage in front of you.
“Zuzu city, how’re we feeling?” Sam greets the crowd, everyone continuing their cheers and screams. “That’s what we like to hear.” The blond grins, taking his position at the front-centre stage.
And with that, the band dive straight into their first song; Sam on the electric guitar, Abigail on drums, and Sebastian on keyboard as usual.
The band have switched it all up a lot recently with Sebastian becoming a bassist as well, but everyone knows them like this.
Four songs in when Sebastian takes a place beside Sam at the centre of the stage, both having a bit of small talk with the audience, joking around, Abigail telling them off jokingly. It’s how their concerts always go and (Y/N) loves it. She loves how down-to-Earth and honest they are as people. They care about their audience and they certainly don’t take for granted how incredibly lucky they are to have made it so far in life - especially when growing up in a small place like Pelican Town.
It’s almost half-way through their set when one of (Y/N)’s all-time-favourite new song comes on and she’s dancing like no-one’s watching. Except she feels her heart speed up when she glances up at the stage and makes direct eye-contact with Sebastian, a grin on his face as Sam continues his solo verse, at first she just basks in the eye-contact, thinking that’s all it will be, but she doesn’t miss the way his eyes trail down her body and lick his lips before grinning and looking away at the rest of the audience.
Her eyes widen and her head spins to her best friend who saw the whole interaction, both of them like teenage girls with a first crush screaming and giggling, still bouncing and dancing to the song.
The band themselves are very varied in what music they play, but generally is high-energy dance music, so the general fashionsense of the crowd is bright colours, lots of neon, lots of glowing - (Y/N) however just wore what she loves, which in this case is a tight black tube top with black fishnets and black hot-pants, along with her ankle boots. Add that to her bold, winged eyeliner and dark purple lipstick, you have yourself Sebastian’s dream woman.
The song ends and everyone is screaming once again. The band laugh at the response they get everytime - they’ll never get used to it.
As Abigail starts talking about how they’ve grown as a band and expresses their appreciation to the whole audience, her eyes happen to meet Sebastian’s once again and this time he’s simply smirking at her, not at all being subtle in the way his stare washes over her entire body.
She can feel the goosebumps prick her skin and the way Abigail’s voice seems to become whitenoise.
She realises she must look like a fish out of water with the way her mouth is just open, gawking at the poor man. She closes her mouth and licks her lips instinctively, an action that prompts the dark-haired man on stage to raise his eyebrows briefly at her before taking over Abigail’s speech.
“Can I just say, it is getting very hot in here,” he starts, winking at the woman once more.
“Holy shit!” Her best friend gasps, slapping (Y/N) playfully.
The woman doesn’t even have a response as she continues to stare at the man.
“But maybe that’s just Sam.” He finishes, the audience half-cheering half-laughing. A few wolf-whistles too.
The blond even blushes at the joke which makes it even funnier.
Sebastian continues Abigail’s praise to everyone and their backstory before they move into their next song.
The second-half of their set is equally as phenomenal as the first-half. A mixture of old and new songs, some funny chats, some sentimental conversation, it’s a fantastic night.
It’s when the concert ends and she parts ways with her friend to get separate taxis home that she’s interrupted.
“Excuse me, Miss.” (Y/N) turns at the masculine voice and sees ones of the security guards.
“Yes?”
“Sebastian, from the show, has asked if you’d like to join them backstage?” He asks and her jaw drops once again; her eyes would be falling out like a cartoon character if it were possible.
“Are you serious?” She asks, watching the guard give one firm nod. “Do you have ID?”
He nods again and displays his ID so she knows she’s not going to be kidnapped at least.
“Uh, yeah, sure.” She nods, speechless at the offer.
The guard leads her through various backstage corridors before heading back out the other end of the stage toward a tour bus.
“Holy fucking shit…” She whispers, watching as the guard knocks on the door firmly.
It swings open and there’s the man himself, his eyes first seeing the security guard before glancing to the woman behind. The smirk hits his face once more.
“I didn’t think I’d be so lucky.” He comments, (Y/N) still feeling like she’s red in the face and gawking like a goldfish. “Thanks, Mark.” Sebastian adds to the security guard who nods and leaves, leaving the woman alone in front of the celebrity she’s loved since he was a young teenager. “Would you like to come in?” He offers, voice sounding genuine rather than seductive.
The woman’s lips move a few times before she actually finds her voice. A mere ‘yeah’ leaving her lips as the man opens the door wider for her.
He guides her down the hall of the bus toward a lounge are where she widens her eyes again at the blond lounging on the couch. Shirtless. With an energy drink in his hand.
“You weren’t kidding when you said she’s hot.” Sam’s words make her eyes widen for the nth time. Sebastian chuckles and opens the fridge.
“Nope.” He states, proudly. “Would you like a drink?” He adds, looking at the woman.
She licks her lips, barely able to take her eyes off the ever-so-sweet Sam who is looking very un-sweet right now.
“Um, please.” She manages, Sebastian nodding.
“Alcohol or not?” He asks.
“Definitely alcohol.”
Both men laugh at that response.
“Rosé?” Sebastian offers, pulling out a small bottle of the wine and holding it up to her.
“Perfect.” She nods, taking it from Sebastian’s hand as he pulls out a beer.
“You can sit down you know.” Sam comments, catching her attention once more.
She notices the sweat covering his body. She’s not surprised given the performance they’ve just put on.
She nods and takes a seat beside Sam, leaving a reasonable amount of room between the pair. Sebastian on the opposite sofa.
“How’d you like the show?” Sam follows up.
“It was incredible.” The instant words come to her mouth for once. “They always are.”
“You’ve seen us before?” Sebastian asks, taking a swig of his beer.
She nods.
“Every single time.”
Both the mens’ eyes widen at that.
“Even-”
“Even the livestreams.” She finishes Sam’s sentence.
“That’s incredible - thank you so much for your support, genuinely.” The blond smiles.
She simply nods and takes a sip of her wine.
“So…” The woman begins, looking at Sebastian once more.
“So…?” He quizzes.
“Why’d you bring me back here?”
Sam laughs and shakes his head, Sebastian grinning at the boy.
“Do you want the honest answer or the appropriate answer?” The dark-haired man asks, tilting his head.
(Y/N) contemplates it.
“Is both an option?” She chances, Sebastian moving his head side-to-side as if contemplating.
“Yes.” He opts for. “The appropriate answer is that you caught my attention during the show and I wanted to chat with you.”
She nods slowly and takes another sip of wine.
“And the honest answer?”
“You’re fucking gorgeous and I wanna fuck your brains out.”
She chokes on her alcohol, covering her mouth while Sam laughs but leans toward her to check she’s actually okay.
(Y/N) holds her hand out, backing him off to confirm she’s alright.
Sebastian simply grins and takes another swig of his own drink.
“You asked for it.” He adds, watching her nod as she manages to catch her breath.
“You good?” Sam checks, leaning back into his comfortable position.
Another nod.
“I think so.” She wipes her face to rid the drips of wine that left her mouth and nose from the choking.
Silence falls over the lounge space, (Y/N)’s eyes staying locked on Sebastian’s as he continues taking sips of his beer, Sam briefly checking his phone.
“Strip.” Sebastian eventually breaks the silence with a demand that takes her breath away.
“Excuse me?”
“Stand up,” he pauses momentarily as he puts his drink down on the side. “And strip.”
She takes heavy breaths, staring at the man as if he just told her she was going to die tomorrow, but no. If she did die tomorrow, she’d die happy, that must she knows for sure.
She stands up slowly and sets her wine down on the shelf beside her before slowly lowering the over-sized denim jacket adorning her body.
Sam’s long dropped his phone now, readjusting his position on the sofa to a front-on view of the woman, eyes wide themselves as he watches her obey his best friend’s command.
Sebastian’s expression is pretty emotionless at this point, simply admiring the view. He quirks a brow at her when she stops after her jacket.
“Are you done?” He asks.
She realises, he’s given her options. If she said yes, she is done, and left, that’d be okay. He would let her. He’s not forcing her.
A gulp makes it’s way down her throat before she slowly undoes the button and zip of her hotpants, sliding them down her thighs until they hit the ground. Her black lacy underwear doing minimal to cover her up underneath the holes in her fishnets.
She can see the lust in Sebastian’s eyes and the thrill in Sam’s.
She reaches for the waistband of her fishnets before she’s interrupted.
“Don’t.” Sebastian commands, watching her hands freeze in place. “Those stay on.” He adds, locking eyes with her.
She nods again before glancing at her boots, she goes to bend down but Sam stops her this time, the blond standing and taking a couple of strides toward her.
He’s a lot taller in person.
She can see the lust in his eyes too. She stares at him as if waiting for his orders, but is surprised when he lowers to one knee and begins untying the laces of her boots.
She looks back up at Sebastian who’s shamelessly palming his bulge through the dark sweatpants he’s wearing.
Her breathing gets heavier and her mouth is parted again as her eyes move back to his.
He lightly smirks at her, barely having the effort to tease when he’s this turned on.
Sam’s light grasp on her calf makes her eyes jump back down to him, watching him help her out of the heavy boots she’s wearing, laughing at the bright pink, heart-patterned socks that are underneath, completing clashing with the rest of her outfit.
“Cute.” He comments, looking up at the woman from his position on his knees, licking his lips at the view.
She’s speechless.
The blond’s hands slide up her legs, appreciating the fishnets, getting tighter at he reaches the top of her thighs.
“Seb,” She can’t decide if he intended to sound as if he was begging.
“Yeah?” Sebastian responds casually as if Sam hadn’t just borderline moaned his band-mate’s name.
“I want.” That’s it. That’s the sentence.
Sebastian’s eyes slowly move back up the woman’s body and lock his gaze with hers.
It’s a question.
He’s asking her.
She looks back down at the blond who’s eyeing up her clothed pussy like it’s a trained dog with a bone. Slowly lifting her head again, she nods at Sebastian.
“Take it.” The bassist states, voice deep.
Sam fucking moans and (Y/N)’s head falls back as his head jumps up and makes out with her clothed pussy over her fishnets.
She covers her mouth in surprise at the moan that leaves her own mouth.
“Nuh-uh.” Sebastian comments, and she doesn’t need to look at him to know that he’s talking to her.
She removes her hand from her mouth and instead risks sliding it through the blond hair between her thighs.
Sam doesn’t let up at all. He’s making out with her like it’s the first and last time he ever will.
The moans continuing pouring from her lips as her head moves back up and her hooded eyes admire the dark-haired man across the room, practically thrusting his lips into his own palm through his sweatpants.
“Tell me what you want.” He offers. Except it’s not really an offer, more of a command.
She gulps and her eyes flutter closed momentarily as the guitarist continues his assault on her.
She shakes her head, not able to find words to even know what she wants. Her lips try to form words but it’s no use.
Sebastian smirks at the sight.
“Sammy,” He begins, (Y/N) whimpering at the realisation that this isn’t the first time Sebastian and Sam have had this dynamic.
Sam hums in response, not stopping his actions.
“Give her more.”
The blond pulls away from his make-out session with (Y/N)’s underwear before standing up, towering over the woman.
Her eyes widen as she sees the liquid coating his lower face.
He watches her reaction and wipes up the clear liquid from his chin and licks it off.
What she doesn’t expect is him to slowly walk behind her, arms wrapping around her waist from behind, pressing a kiss to her cheek.
She freezes, eyes on Sebastian as he’s right there in front of the duo.
He smirks.
“The view’s pretty good, right?” Sam utters, the woman feeling drunk even though she’s barely drank more than 3 drinks.
She nods, gasping when Sam suddenly yanks down her tube-top, revealing her bare, nipple-pierced breasts to the man across the room.
Sebastian’s mouth opens as he moans this time, eyes hooded as he drowns in the pleasure of simply looking at her.
Sam doesn’t stop there though, no, he’s immediately groping her tits, playing with them, squeezing them.
“Oh, fuck.” She quietly moans, Sam’s eyes locking with Sebastian and smirking.
“That feel good, gorgeous?” Sebastian asks, watching her nod and lean back into the blond’s embrace. “I asked you a question.” He teases, but his voice is serious.
“Yes, Sebastian.” She manages, barely a whisper, barely paying attention.
“Good girl.”
Sam doesn’t let up, his hands worship her tits like he’s trying to force her nipples to leak.
“Oh, God,” Another moan from her lips, her body instinctively grinding back again the blond, his hips matching her rhythm.
A hiss in pleasure leaks through the man’s teeth at the sensation.
Her hooded eyes manage to glance over at Sebastian once more, seeing the sweat on his forehead as he continues to enjoy the show.
“Please,” She whispers, really not expecting him to really hear it, but he does.
“Please what, baby girl?” The man asks, voice getting deepier, huskier, as the night goes on.
A small amount of control comes to the woman in that moment and she uses it to her advantage. Without another thought, she spins around, Sam’s eyes widening at the sudden movement, and she drops to her knees, pulling the blond’s sweats down revealing his bare, throbbing, hard cock. It’s already got pre-cum spilling over the top.
Sam’s eyes are still wide as he watches the woman admire his impressive length.
Her eyes look up at meet his as she slowly licks from the base to the tip, taking in his taste.
The man whimpers, legs trembling slightly. He looks up at Seb as if asking what to do, but his band-mate is simply enjoying the show whilst still palming himself on the sofa.
It takes no time longer for (Y/N) to be wrapping her lips and tongue around the sweet blond, not hesitating to take his full length down her throat, not even letting her gag reflex stop her from worshiping every inch.
“Oh, holy fuck,” Sam moans, head going back and staring aimlessly at the ceiling as he basks in the sensation.
“Bet you missed a girl’s touch, huh, Sammy?” Sebastian’s voice captures his attention once more. “Bet it feels better than when I do it, right?” He adds, (Y/N)’s eyes widening and pulling back off the man’s cock momentarily and turning to face the other gentleman across the room.
Sebastian smirks at the shock on her face.
“Can’t blame me, you’ve seen how good his dick is.” He simply shrugs, her gaze then moving up to Sam’s who’s simply blushing all over and panting, eyes needy. “And look how pretty he is when he’s desperate.”
Sam’s brows furrow and he wants to storm over to his best friend but the sweatpants around his ankles would only make it more humiliating.
“Come here, gorgeous.” Sebastian adds, attention back on (Y/N) once more.
She widens her eyes at him and he quirks a brow.
Gulping, the woman complies and turns around, crawling across the room toward him.
“That’s a good girl.”
Sam’s hand immediately reaches for his cock but Sebastian makes a noise and points with his fingers, eyes telling him ‘no’.
(Y/N) stops as she reaches Sebastian’s feet, looking up at the man with question in her eyes.
“Has it occurred to you that you’ve just given quite the show to two men who don’t even know your name?” He asks, briefly grabbing his beer for another drink.
A common theme tonight is her eyes widening.
He chuckles.
“I’m Sebastian, by the way.” He winks, “Sam, don’t be rude, introduce yourself.”
(Y/N)’s eyes briefly turn to look at the blond who’s trembling, fingers playing with themselves to try and refrain from grabbing his throbbing length.
“I’m Sam.” It’s barely a whisper.
“Good boy.” Sebastian loves to tease. To dominate. She’s established that much. “And you are?” He adds, eyeing up the woman on the floor.
She gulps, finding her voice.
“(Y/N).”
“Pretty name for a pretty girl.” The dark-haired man comments, leaning back in his seat and spreading his legs.
“She’s not just pretty, Seb,” Sam’s voice is raspy. Desperate.
Sebastian quirks a brow at his friend, (Y/N) looking confused but keeping her eyes on Sebastian but listening to the blond behind her.
“She’s beautiful.” Sam’s words make her eyes widen and stare aimlessly at the floor. “She’s so hot, she’s angelic, she’s perfection.”
Is this real?
Silence momentarily fills the air after the blond’s complimentary speech. (Y/N) feels fingers tilting her face up before Sebastian’s lips are on hers. She moans. The kiss is hard. Rough. Deep. Passionate.
Within seconds, Sebastian is yanking his own sweatpants down and fishing out his rock-hard cock, stroking it a couple of times before guiding her head to it.
He doesn’t have to say anything before (Y/N) is covering every inch in her saliva. Licking the precum as she did with Sam, basking in how good they both taste.
Sebastian groans and appreciates the pleasure before glancing up at a very needy Sam.
“Come here, Sammy.” He manages, the blond immediately complying and taking a few sharp strides until he’s stood behind the kneeling woman who hasn’t stopped working on the bassist’s length. “What’s wrong, handsome?”
“Seb, please-”
“What do you want?” Sebastian interrupts the man’s pleas. “Who do you want?”
Sam’s eyes cast down to the woman’s form beneath him, barely having to contemplate his answer.
Sebastian’s hand grabs a handful of the woman’s hair and pulls her back off, a string of saliva connecting her lips to his cock, but Sebastian stands up, pulling her with him by her hair and shoving his lips on hers once again.
Her brain can’t keep up with everything that’s happening, but one thing she does know is this is so fucking hot.
After briefly dominating her mouth, the man pulls back and meets her gaze, silently asking permission. (Y/N) licks her lips, trying to catch her breath, and nods.
He smirks again before spinning her around so her back is to his chest, and lifts her up by her thighs, a small screech escaping her mouth as Sebastian holds her up, legs spread for the blond in front of her.
Her eyes are wide, as are Sam’s.
“You want it, Sammy-boy?” Sebastian asks, watching his lifelong friend eye-up the woman like a dog to a bone.
He nods, licks his lips, hands reaching for his cock once more, but Sebastian once again makes a noise to stop him.
“Ladies first.” He adds, Sam nodding and stepping forward, but this time it’s him to meets the woman’s gaze and his lust-blown eyes soften.
“May I?” He whispers, seeing how she smiles slightly and nods.
His fingers run along the legs that Sebastian is holding, the man keeping her up like she weighs nothing, before they reach her crotch area where he rips the fishnets apart without a second thought, (Y/N) gasping and Sebastian smirking.
Sam briefly meets her gaze once more, again, a silent question of consent, and she nods again.
His fingers reach for her lacy underwear and just when she thinks he’s being gentle, they get ripped off as well.
“Fuck.” Sam moans, seeing just how soaked she is. “She’s so wet, Seb.”
Sebastian breathes out a laugh.
“Yeah? She nice and soaked for you, Sammy?”
The blond nods before stepping impossibly closer, the woman now sandwiched tightly between the two men she’s adored and crushed on since she was fourteen - now being twenty-four.
This is insane. That’s what she wants to say. But she’s rendered speechless once again as Sam slowly lines his cock up with her entrance.
He enjoys the view before holding his hand out to Seb who passes him a condom. (Y/N)’s eyes are surprised, then again maybe not, at how prepared they are.
“You want it, baby?” Sebastian whispers in her ear while Sam wraps up, her head nodding as she stares at the blond who’s awaiting permission. “Tell him.”
Wide eyes yet again.
Her lips move but no words can be found.
Sam complacently waits.
“Tell him.” Sebastian repeats, practically growling in her ear.
“Please…” It’s an attempt.
Sam doesn’t speak but raises a brow. He needs more.
“Please fuck me.”
That’s enough for Sam to thrust forward and fill her to the brim in one go, both of them releasing moans that she’s saw anyone in the surrounding area could definitely hear.
Sam can’t wait before he’s pulling out and thrusting back in. Her arms reach toward the man and Sebastian eases her forwards, Sam taking the woman entirely in his arms and continuing to fuck her, her arms wrapping around the man and hips instinctively bouncing to match his rhythm.
Sebastian enjoys the view for a few moments, stroking his own cock, before pushing up behind her once again.
She gasps and pulls back from her embrace of Sam, eyes meeting the blond who’s dripping with sweat once again.
“You ever taken two men at once, sweetheart?” The man behind her asks over the sound of skin slapping skin.
Her eyes are wide but not in shock.
Sam grins at the sight.
“I think she has, Seb.” The blond answers, Sebastian’s eyes gleaming with excitement.
“Dirty girl.”
Sliding a condom on his own shaft, he spreads her ass and teases her other entrance with his lubed-up finger.
“You want it, gorgeous?” He whispers, pressing his finger down, slowly entering as Sam continues his assault on her pussy.
She nods frantically.
“Please, Seb.” She whimpers, eyes rolling back as Sam hits her in all the best places.
“So fucking pretty, (Y/N)” The sudden use of her name makes her moan louder.
“Sam - bed.” Sebastian demands, the blond nodding and carrying the woman on his cock to a huge bedroom with a double bed in the centre.
She’s impressed at just how big this tour bus is.
Sam lays himself down, the woman remaining on top as Sebastian crawls behind her and gently pushes her down so her chest is flush with Sam’s, her lips hovering over the blond’s.
Sam can’t resist, he’s pulling her face down and moaning into her lips, Sebastian having to pin his hips down to stop the desperate thrusting.
“Behave.”
Seb fully lubes up his cock and her ass before lining up with her second entrance.
“(Y/N)” The call makes her pull back from her intoxicating make-out session and listen to the man behind her. “Deep breath.” Sebastian continues, slowly pushing.
“Eyes on me, pretty baby.” Sam whispers, one hand now gently holding her face as if she were made of glass.
She’s trembling. It’s been a while since she’s had this.
“Breathe for me, angel.” The guitarist adds, (Y/N) nodding but struggles to keep her breathing in-sync.
“Fuck.” Sebastian moans under his breath as his cock is slowly swallowed up by her asshole.
She’s whimpering and tears are in her eyes.
“You okay, princess?” Sam’s sweet petnames are probably contributing toward her teary eyes more than the huge dick penetrating her ass.
She nods and her eyes roll back.
“Is she okay?” Sebastian asks, freezing for a second.
Sam hesitates to respond as he analyses her for a definitive response.
“Please don’t stop.” She breathes out, Sam grinning, Sebastian smirking and continuing.
“Your wish is my command, baby doll.”
Sebastian’s moan when he’s fully sheathed inside her is carnal. Like a starved animal. A desperate man.
(Y/N)’s breathing sounds like she’s bordering on a panic attack, but Sam’s soft strokes on her cheek are keeping her grounded.
“You’re doing so well, pretty baby.” The blond smiles earnestly like he isn’t inches deep inside her throbbing pussy.
“Please, move.” The woman begs, answering the question before it even left Sebastian’s mouth.
He does. Slowly pulling out before pushing back in. Slowly getting faster, and faster, and faster, until Sam can’t help but thrust is hips once again.
She’s screaming. Tears pouring down her face but not from pain. God, no. From overwhelming pleasure.
Sam’s head is thrown back into the bedsheets and eyes clenched shut as he focuses on how fucking tight she is around him, even more so that Sebastian’s cock is destroying her alongside him.
“You’re so fucking filthy, (Y/N).” Sebastian spits, gripping her ass hard enough to leave bruises, plowing into her like an animal in heat.
She simply whimpers. Sobs. Moans. Screams.
Her hips are bouncing to meet their thrusts and they both groan as they feel her gush the second Sam’s head darts up to take one of her pierced nipples in his mouth.
The orgasm even shocked her. Sam doesn’t stop, tongue toying with her tits like it’s the last time he’ll ever see them. He’s the only one who hasn’t had a drop of alcohol today and yet he feels the most drunk.
“Seb,” Sam suddenly groans, releasing the woman’s tits and throwing his head back once again.
“You close, Sammy?” Sebastian groans, himself knowing the feeling all too well.
Sam desperately nods, hands definitely bruising the woman’s hips with how hard he’s gripping them. Sebastian sees it and briefly removes one of his hand’s from the woman’s ass and strokes over the blond’s hand, helping release his grip slightly.
“Wanna fill this pretty baby up with cum?” He adds, Sam letting out a very high-pitched moan, practically a whimper. “Is that what you want, baby doll?” The question is now at the sobbing woman. “You want Sammy to fill this pretty pussy up with all his cum?”
The moan’s in the room are obscene, and if anyone had a camera, they’d make a lot of fucking money.
Of course, the gents are both wearing condoms so they won’t really be filling her up, but the sensation is still fucking incredible nonetheless.
“Want me to fill this slutty asshole up with cum at the same time, (Y/N)?”
More screams.
He chuckles but only speeds up. He can’t stop himself.
“What was that, doll? I couldn’t quite hear you over the sound of you being a desperate little slut.”
“PLEASE!” She begs, still crying in pleasure. “Please fill me up with cum! I want my slutty pussy and asshole to be overflowing!”
“Fuck!” Sam gasps. “Seb!”
It’s a plea. A request. A question.
She realises. Sam doesn’t cum until Sebastian says so.
“Let him!” She begs herself, Sam’s eyes meeting hers, both their lips crashing together once again. “Please! I’m gonna-”
“Cum.” Sebastian commands. He doesn’t know which one he’s speaking to, neither do they, but all three of them obey.
She squirts. She feels her body collapse but she’s caught by the man behind her. One hand gripping her ass as he cums deep inside her ass, one arm wrapped around her body, holding her upright.
Sam assisting as he continues to squeeze her hips and moans as he too fills the condom with overwhelming amounts of cum.
She goes dizzy. Mind numb. White noise filling her ears. Her vision dissipates.
Heavy breaths and the stench of sex fills the room all-too-quickly.
“Sammy, you good?” Sebastian manages, eyes on the blond who meets his gaze and nods with a brief smile. “Good boy.” He winks. “(Y/N), sweetheart, you good?”
No response, only heavy breaths.
“Baby girl, you okay?” He repeats, still nothing. “I’m gonna pull out, okay?”
Both hands keeping a firm hold of the woman, he slowly pulls out, groaning at the feeling. As does she.
“Sammy, you got her?” The dark-haired man asks, Sam muttering a yeah as Sebastian releases his hold on the woman to momentarily remove his condom and throw it in the trash across the room.
Sam mutters sweet petnames to the woman, telling her it’s okay, reassuring her she’s okay.
“Here,” Sebastian utters, taking hold of her hips once more. “I’m gonna lift you off of Sammy, okay, gorgeous?”
Despite him getting no response, he continues to help the woman and get her off of Sam.
The blond is soaked in her cum. Sebastian grins at the view.
“Filthy boy.” He jokes, Sam still grinning and nodding, also removing his condom and throwing it across the room into the trash.
Sebastian lays the woman down in the centre of the double bed, Sam grabbing some wetwipes from one of the cupboards. He takes a couple for himself before throwing the packet at Sebastian.
The men briefly wipe themselves down before cleaning up the woman herself.
“Can you hear me, sweetheart?” Sebastian utters, glancing at her closed eyelids.
She hums in response.
“You think you can give me your words?” He adds. She tries. They can see it.
She hums again.
Sam lightly chuckles as he throws the contaminated wetwipes in the trash.
“Those aren’t words last time i checked, princess.” He comments, Sebastian also laughing.
“M’okay.” She whispers, slowly opening her eyes and appreciating the dim, moodlighting in the room.
“Good girl.” Sebastian whispers, stroking some loose hairs out of her face.
“You did so well, angel.” Sam praises, sitting cross-legged beside the woman, smiling down at her as if she were a prized possession.
Her eyes keep switching between the two handsome men sat looking down at her.
“This feels surreal.” She whispers, both men laughing at that.
“Trust me, it feels more surreal for us - you’re stunning.” Sebastian responds, admiring her, still, very bare body.
“I feel very naked.” She jokes, both men grinning again.
“As do we, sweetheart.”
They all bask in the quiet for a few moments before Sam offers one of his t-shirts to the woman which she graciously accepts before resting on the bed once again.
“We’d like to see you again.” Sam states, the woman opening her eyes and looking surprised. He doesn’t elaborate any further.
“Okay.” She whispers, a shy smile covering her lips. She giggles as she reaches a hand up to wipe some of the lipstick stains from Sam’s lips that their kiss caused.
“I hate to be very horrible and break this lovely moment, but I am desperate for a cigarette.” Sebastian comments, Sam laughing as the bassist stands up off the bed and gets some more sweatpants to cover his decency.
“That’s hot.” (Y/N) bravely comments, Sebastian winking before heading toward the door.
Sam and (Y/N) fall into silence once again before she speaks up.
“Have you done this before?”
Sam smirks and shakes his head.
“Slept with the same girl before? Yeah. Slept with a random girl from our audience? That’s definitely new.”
She doesn’t respond, simply continues staring at the blond.
“You’re so gorgeous.” She whispers, reaching up and stroking his face.
The blush on his cheeks makes her giggle.
“This feels surreal.” Her voice remains quiet.
“You’re telling me.” Sam laughs, leaning into her palm.
“Are you and Seb a thing?”
A soft smile rests on Sam’s lips at the question. He shrugs.
“I love him. He loves me - i think.”
“You think?” Sebastian asks, entering the room once again.
“Jesus, that was fast.” Sam jumps at the sudden entrance.
Sebastian laughs.
“Just how you like it.”
The red tint on Sam’s cheeks is way too cute.
“Fancy breakfast tomorrow morning, doll?” The dark-haired man asks the woman.
She smiles and searches his eyes for any kind of lie or joke.
“That sounds amazing.”
“Good. Now would you like a ride home and we’ll pick you up in the morning? As much as I don’t wanna kick you out, it is one-AM and we have another show tomorrow night.” Sebastian adds, smiling and admiring her state once more.
She nods.
“Thank you.”
“No need.”
They drive the woman home in Sam’s car since Sebastian’s motorcycle wasn’t going to hold the three of them.
“This is pretty close to where we’re from.” Sebastian observes her neighbourhood.
“Yeah.” The woman smiles as they approach her apartment. “Well, thank you for the very interesting evening.”
The gentlemen laugh.
“You’re very welcome, doll.”
“Anytime, madamoiselle.”
“But in all seriousness, the concert was amazing as always, you guys do really well, and Abigail of course.” She adds, both men smiling sincerely.
“It means a lot to hear, (Y/N). Thank you.” Sam smiles.
The woman is in the passenger seat and turns to look at Sam, smiling, but she gasps as he wraps his hand around her head and pulls her in for a very deep kiss.
“Thank you for coming to see two random men.” He teases, leaving one last gentle kiss on her lips.
“Two random men who I’ve idolised since I was a teenager!”
“Aren’t we the lucky ones.” Sebastian comments, also leaning forward to kiss the woman.
“I really don’t think so.” She giggles before grabbing her purse and opening the car door. “I’ll see you tomorrow?”
“Yes, you will, gorgeous. Yes, you will.”

Right up until he wasn't. How was she meant to tell Sebastian? Sam? The answer is simple: she couldn't. But apparently she couldn't hide it either. Request: N/A Contains Spoilers for: N/A Word Count: 8.7k
---
She hasn’t slept. Perhaps the momentary concussion she had four hours earlier was the best she’s gonna get for a long while.
How was she meant to sleep after what that man- no. He’s no man. He’s a fucking monster.
Sweetheart, Army soldier back home in the heart of Pelican Town. A man missed by all. Adored. Sam looked up to him like he was an actual God walking the Earth.
Fucking. Bullshit.
She wants to say she didn’t deserve it - nobody deserves it - but his words got to her. Crawled into her veins and planted seeds everywhere in her body. They’re growing. Destroying her from the inside out.
*** Flashback ***
“Hey, you’re the new farmer girl, right?” A new voice catches her attention away from the sports show playing on the TV in the corner of the saloon.
“Hey, yeah, that’s me, (Y/N).” She holds out her hand for the handsome gent to shake. He accepts.
“Pleasure to meet you. I’m Kent, Jodi’s husband.” He greets, a charming smile on his lips.
“Ah! Sam and Vincent’s dad, right? Nice! I’ve heard a lot about you.” Her smile is contagious. Kent laughs at her words.
“All good things I hope!”
“Most certainly; those boys look up to you.” Her words make him bashful.
“I just hope I can do them proud.”
“I’m sure you will. It’s a pleasure to meet you anyway; Sam and I are good friends so don’t be surprised if you see me around.”
“Likewise, (Y/N).”
That was Monday night, it’s now Friday. Sam, Sebastian, Abigail and (Y/N) are all around the pool table, Seb kicking Sam’s ass as per usual.
She had a plan to get home early that night, knowing the majority of her crops are going to be ready for harvesting tomorrow, she wanted to get an early start so she had time to make it into the mines for some gold ore. Clint would never let it go if she forgot to upgrade her pickaxe for the fourth time that month.
“I’m going to head off, boys and girls, that farm doesn’t look after itself.” She announces, grabbing her small wallet and phone from the small table beside her and Abby.
“Aw! But (Y/N), it’s so early!”
“Pft, it’s almost your bedtime, Samson.”
“Fuck off, Sebby.”
The boys bicker whilst Abigail and (Y/N) roll their eyes.
“See you later, kids.”
“Bye, (Y/N)!”
“Cya, farmer.”
“Goodnight, doll.”
She throws her best evils at Sebastian for still giving her the nickname ‘doll’ from the one time she wore make-up and he told her she looked like a Barbie doll. It was meant as a compliment. She took it - makes her giggle really.
Whilst she had a plan to get home early that night, little did she know about a certain soldier’s plan that neatly accommodated hers.
She didn’t notice all the ways in which he had been watching her this last week. She stayed over at Sam’s on Wednesday night along with Sebastian; their band practice went on a little late. She went to the bathroom around three AM and she missed him being wide away on the sofa. He was trying to sleep but couldn’t, so tried the living room. She was prancing around in one of Sebastian’s t-shirts and a skimpy pair of underwear underneath, what was he meant to do? She was practically begging for his stare.
Back to that night, it was when she was passing the Doctor’s that she heard a call of her name. She spun around and saw Kent jogging toward her.
“Hey, farmer, what brings you out and about at this time of night?” He greets, an honest smile on his lips.
Little did she know.
“Hey, Kent. I’m just heading home from the saloon - Sam comes out with Abby, Seb and I every Friday night for some pool games.” She smiles. He replicates it.
“Ah, nice! I’m glad he’s got a solid group of friends, although I bet he still sucks at the game.”
(Y/N)’s laugh echoes.
“No kidding; Seb always kicks his ass.”
“I bet. Anyway, I was just heading home but please, let me walk you back? I wouldn’t feel right letting a young woman walk alone at night.” He offers.
She’s convinced their entire family are just the nicest people to walk the Earth.
“Bless you, Kent, in a town like this one there’s really nothing to be afraid of, but if it’ll give you peace of mind then you’re welcome to join me.”
“Thank you, sweetheart. So, are you enjoying the valley?”
“Oh, definitely! It’s so much nicer out here compared to the city. What about you? Have you missed home?”
“Totally agree with you. It’s so relaxing and peaceful out here. It’s beautiful.”
“Yeah.”
They walk in comfortable silence, Kent complimenting how organised the farm is once they arrive at its field. She chuckles.
“Yeah. It’s hard work but I think it’s looking pretty good so far.”
“The hard work shows and definitely pays off.”
“Thanks!”
She unlocks the cottage door and spins around to wish the man goodbye, but that’s the last movement she makes before a sudden dulling on the back of her neck and a faint: “sorry, sweetheart.” is heard.
*** Flashback End ***
He didn’t stop until maybe four-AM. It’s now six-thirty. She’s not sure how she’s meant to continue with her day as usual. Her life.
How the hell is she supposed to leave the farm at the risk of seeing him again? At the risk of seeing Jodi? Vincent? Sam- fuck.
Sam. Abigail.
Sebastian.
*** Flashback ***
She hadn’t noticed Sebastian’s eyes being more focused on her than the anime they were watching. Some horror that the boy had been persuading her to watch for months. She decided not to torment him for much longer.
“You’re beautiful.”
The words catch her off-guard. Eyes widening and looking at her best friend with astonishment, but he’s simply staring at her like she’s an angel sent from Heaven itself.
“Sorry?”
“I said you’re beautiful.” He repeats without hesitation.
“Where’s that come from?”
“Does it have to come from anywhere? I just want you to know it.”
There’s no doubt that she’s attracted to Sebastian. Hell, he’s so perfectly her type it’s unreal, but she basked in the friendship they had, never daring to act impulsively at the risk of destroying that.
Sebastian realises she’s getting all up in her head again, as she’s good at, and simply chuckles, leaning over and tucking a stray hair behind her ear.
“(Y/N), can I kiss you?” He asks, his voice as relaxing as it always is.
Reminds her of the time he calmed her down when she was caught up in a storm after leaving the mines. He was basking in the weather, having a smoke up by the mountain lake and saw her panicking as she crossed the wooden bridge toward his home.
There’s no judgement in his voice; he’s asking her as if asking her favourite colour. If she said no, he’d be fine. He would just nod and move on. He wouldn’t hold it against her. But, God, as if she’d ever say no to him kissing her. She’s wanted a whole load more than kisses for all the years they’ve been friends.
Her words fail her so she simply nods, eyes glistening with anticipation. Sebastian sees it and smirks, resting a hand on her cheek before leaning in and pressing a soft kiss to her lips.
“You’re so very beautiful, (Y/N) (L/N).”
“Seb…” She doesn’t know what to say, but she knows exactly what it is she wants.
He must know too. No doubt based on the desperation in her voice.
Another smirk on his lips, his thumb sliding down her cheek to slide across her lower lip.
“What’s up, doll?”
“Fuck,” She didn’t really mean to say it out loud but he chuckles.
“What do you want, pretty girl?”
“Kiss me.”
“I just did.”
“Again, please,”
He complies. Another soft one. Barely there. But she grabs onto his black tee and pulls him closer, their lips colliding again. And again. And again.
She’s laying flat on her back in his single bed, Seb straddling her and not taking his lips off of her for a second. He’s kissing down her jaw, down her neck, painting her collarbone in neverending invisible lip prints.
“Fuck,” It seems to be the only word she can remember. “Seb,” An improvement, she supposes.
“Yeah, doll?”
“Please,” She’s begging.
She knows what for.
He knows what for.
But he won’t give it to her that easy.
“Please what?”
Her gaze meets his and she’s silently pleading. He smirks and kisses her. Hard. Not like the soft kisses he began with. No. He’s dominating her with his lips and tongue alone.
“Sebby, please,”
“I told you, baby: please, what?” He murmurs, grinding his clothed core, and prominent bulge, into her own.
“Oh, fuck,” She’s moaning already and the man’s barely touched her yet. “Seb, need you inside me.”
“Yeah? Want me to make you feel good, (Y/N)?”
“Please!”
“Anything for you, pretty girl.”
*** Flashback End ***
That was just under a year ago. Since then, the pair have been friends with benefits - and being friends with Sebastian comes with a lot of benefits.
They discussed their feelings one day, whether or not they were gonna, if they hadn’t already, fall in love with one another. They both confessed that they already did love each other platonically, and right now they’re happy to be casual.
But fuck.
How is she meant to tell him? Or Sam? He’s Kent’s fucking pride and joy, for goodness sakes. She can’t tell them. She won’t. It’s not fair on Sam. It’s not fair at all. The boy waited years for his father to come back from the army. She won’t tear that away from him.
So she doesn’t.
She puts on a front.
She pretends everything is fine.
Until six weeks later when she’s left alone with Sebastian.
“See you guys tomorrow or something!” Sam calls as he leaves Sebastian’s room following their gaming session.
“See you, man.”
“Bye, Sam!”
The woman is immediately grabbing her belongings and putting them into her bag as she prepares to head off herself, not comfortable being alone with another man at the moment.
“Hey, you heading off so soon?” Sebastian’s voice fills her ears, the man coming up behind her and wrapping his arms around her waist.
She tenses up. No. She absolutely freezes.
Sebastian notices. Obviously.
“You okay?” He loosens his hold on her.
“Yeah, sorry, I’ve just got a load of work to be getting on with at the farm. Season end and all that.” She attempts to look at him and force a smile but his expression falls.
He’s not stupid. She knows he’s not. Which is exactly why she needs to leave.
“What’s going on, (Y/N)?”
“What? Nothing, I’ve just got about one-thousand blueberries to harvest tomorrow morning. I didn’t check the ‘shrooms this morning either, and I think I forgot to sell my oranges, which is as careless as ever of me.” A forced laugh.
Sebastian remains silent for a short moment as she finishes throwing her shit in her bag.
“(Y/N)-”
“I’ll see you tomorrow with Sam and Abby, right?” She interrupts, heading toward the door and glancing at him in an attempt to make herself seem less suspicious.
“(Y/N),” He grabs her wrist, lightly, barely even a grab, but she shrieks.
The woman yanks her body away from him, stumbling into his bedroom wall. A few figures fall from a shelf beside her.
“(Y/N)...” His eyes are wide. He looks traumatised. She does too.
She’s staring at the man. She knows him. It’s Sebastian, for God’s sake. He’d never lay a harmful finger on fucking anybody.
“I’ve gotta go.” It’s barely a whisper. He hears the break in her voice. She does too.
She doesn’t wait. She leaves, grateful that she dodges the rest of his family on her way out.
She all but sprints home, down the back path from the mountains to the top of the farm where no one would see or hear her. She screams. She’s sobbing and screaming as loud and as hard as she can.
She wants to be normal.
She wants to be tucked in bed with Sebastian as he calls her every possible name under the sun that makes her feel invincible. He makes her feel indescribably wanted and loved. He looks after her. Makes her feel safe.
He’s always made her feel safe.
So why is she running from him? Why isn’t she staying with him?
Why won’t she let him touch her?
She slams her cottage door shut, locking in, before running to her bed and continuing her break down.
She wants to be normal.
She wishes she never fucking met him.
///
A knocking. Loud. Shouting. What the hell?
“(Y/N)! Open up!”
Sam?
The woman looks around and realises she’s still in the same clothes as yesterday. She’s lying on her bed. Must’ve passed out.
She gulps and quickly attempts to straighten out her hair before heading toward her door that’s still being bashed in.
“Alright, alright!” She calls, opening the wood and widening her eyes at the sight of her three best friends. “What the hell, guys? What time is it?”
Sam doesn’t answer, simply strides into her house, Abigail and Sebastian following.
“(Y/N), don’t bullshit us: has someone hurt you?”
Her eyes widen at Sam’s question, the seriousness in his voice and anger in his eyes tells her she’s not getting out of this.
She glances at Abigail who looks worried before looking at Sebastian who… his expression is unreadable.
Her eyes meet Sam’s once more.
“What are you talking about?”
“Cut the bullshit.” Sebastian’s voice almost frightens her. He sounds like he’s ready to kill. “You’re our best friend. You’re the woman I love. I know when someone’s wrong.”
The sudden confession catches her off-guard.
“(Y/N), what’s going on?” Abigail sounds timid. Scared. (Y/N) knows she will have tried persuading the boys that they’re overthinking or overreacting.
She wishes they were.
“It’s okay, I’m fine, really.”
“(Y/N), I’m really fucking riled up so I’d really appreciate the truth right about now.” Sam states, staring at her.
She can see the conflict of worry yet anger in his bright blue eyes.
“I can’t.” She can feel herself breaking. Her head shakes and her eyes stare at the floor.
“Can’t what?” Sebastian’s voice once again.
The tears are falling before she can even try to stop them.
“Please,” It’s a beg. A plea.
She looks up at Sebastian and singles him out.
The boy knows (Y/N) inside and out. He knows she’s begging him to drop it but he can’t. Not when she’s like this. He’s seen her cry, sure, but this isn’t sadness. This is trauma.
“Talk to us.” He simply states. It’s as reassuring as he can be.
“(Y/N),” Abby begins, capturing the woman’s attention once more. “Did someone hurt you?”
She’s scared of what she can and can’t say, and she knows that she’s got no choice anymore.
Her head shakes, but then nods, but then shakes. She stops and shrugs.
“(Y/N),” Sebastian’s turn. She doesn’t look at him. She knows what’s coming. “Did someone… touch you?”
Her eyes clench shut and an uncontrollable sob escapes her throat. Her arms are hugging herself in an attempted protective shield from anyone and everyone.
“Who?” Sam’s voice. Tense. Full of rage.
She doesn’t react nor respond.
“(Y/N), who the fuck touched you?” He repeats his question.
She shakes her head this time and looks up, bright red, tearful eyes meeting his raging glare.
“Baby,” Sebastian’s voice is calmer. She looks at him again.
The boy takes a cautious step toward the woman as if she’s a deer in their headlights.
“It’s okay.” He begins, eyes softer. “You’re gonna be okay, I promise, but you’ve got to tell us what’s happened.”
Her lips are trembling. Hell, her entire body is. Arms are still wrapped around herself.
She shakes her head again.
“I can’t.”
“Yes, you can.”
Another desperate shake of her head.
“Do we know them?” Sam’s voice asks but she keeps her eyes on Sebastian’s reassuring ones.
They’re safe.
They protect her.
“(Y/N), do we fucking know them!?” Sam’s yelling now, the woman flinching.
“Sammy, shush!” Abigail lightly slaps the boy.
“Sam, shut the fuck up.” Sebastian warns. “(Y/N), do we know who they are? Are they local?”
She takes a moment but eventually manages a tiny nod.
Sebastian takes another cautious step toward her, hands out in front of him for her to hold any time she feels ready to.
“Okay. Was it a man? Or woman?” He asks, watching her face contort with pain as she tries to avoid answering. “Man?” Sebastian prompts, realising that giving the woman yes/no questions was getting better results.
She nods. A tiny one.
“Did they touch you without your permission?”
Another sob. Louder.
Sebastian’s heart is cracking with every answer he receives from the woman. She’s the best fucking thing that ever happened to him, and yet something happened to her and he wasn’t fucking there to stop it.
“(Y/N), answer the question.” Sam warns. Abigail lightly slaps him again. “I’m gonna lose my fuckin’ shit.”
“Baby,” Sebastian coos, keeping her attention on him rather than the raging blond staring her down.
His anger isn’t directed at her though. It would never be directed at her, so he thought.
“Did they touch you without your permission?”
Another nod. He steps closer again.
“Okay.” Sebastian pauses and takes a deep breath trying to keep his composure.
He’s beyond upset and livid at whoever has caused his girl to feel the way she is, but he needs to put her first. He failed to save her the first time, he won’t do it again.
“I’m going to explicitly ask this question and I need you to be honest with me, doll,” The pet name was natural but accidental. “Did they rape you?”
She can’t.
Her knees buckle and a scream rips from her throat.
Sam’s eyes are wide, fists clenched. He’s crying but his face is stoic. Abby has her hands over her dropped jaw, trembling slightly.
Sebastian dashes the remaining distance between himself and the woman, dropping to his knees with her and wrapping his arms around her body.
“It’s okay, baby, it’s okay. It’s okay, (Y/N), I got you. I’ve got you.” He’s crying. Everyone is fucking crying. “Can you look at me, doll?”
Truth is, Sam and Abigail have never seen the two so intimate, they usually kept it behind closed doors, but they realise now just how strong their relationship was, despite not being labelled.
She manages, Sebastian taking her shaking hands in his own and giving her a reassuring smile, despite both their tears.
“Right here, right now, you’re safe, okay? I promise you, you’re safe.” He tells her, watching her whimper as she fails to believe his words. “I need you to tell me who did this to you, (Y/N). They can’t get away with it.”
She’s hyperventilating. She can’t do this. It’s over. She’s ruined everything.
“(Y/N)!” Her eyes meet Sebastian’s once again and she’s trying so hard.
The name is on the tip of her tongue. She can do it. She’ll be okay. It’s the right thing to do.
But her eyes flicker toward the blond across the room and she remembers how fucking angry he is.
Sebastian notices.
“Don’t worry about him, he’s just worried about you. We all are. (Y/N), you’re our best friend, we want to fucking punish whoever did this to you, okay?”
“You can’t.” Her words get lost in a whimper but he hears them.
“Why can’t we?”
She stares him out as Sebastian is simply searching her eyes in desperation for the answer.
Her mouth moves in an attempt to say it. He watches her lips for all options, not wanting to miss it.
“Because it’s Sam’s dad.”
She holds her breath. She’s pretty sure everyone else has too.
She stares at Sebastian as if he’s keeping her breathing. You could hear a pin drop, despite the wind and animal noises surrounding the cottage.
“What?” Sam breaks the silence first. She still refuses to look at him.
She doesn’t answer.
Sebastian is still staring at her. She can’t read his expression.
“Bullshit.” Sam spits, her eyes widening as she turns to look at him.
Sure, she expected him to be pissed, but is he actually accusing her of…
“Absolute fucking bullshit.”
(Y/N) feels Sebastian tense up.
“Sam-” She attempts, but is interrupted.
“You’re a fucking liar!” The blond storms toward the woman, her eyes widening, but Sebastian abruptly stands up and grabs the boy by the collar of his white tee.
“Back, the fuck, off.” The black-haired warns his best friend.
“She’s fucking lying.”
Sebastian remains silent for a moment, keeping a tight hold on Sam whilst (Y/N) remains curled up on her knees behind him.
“You and I know full well she fucking wouldn’t.”
Sam doesn’t respond, simply stares into the depths of Sebastian’s eyes before glancing at the woman behind him.
“When would he have ever fucking been alone with her, huh? Fucking tell me!” Sam yells, (Y/N) flinching and whimpering.
“Sammy, calm dow-”
“DON’T FUCKING TELL ME TO CALM DOWN!” Abigail jumps back at her friend’s outburst.
“If you give the girl a God damn fucking second to explain, maybe we’d have the answers you’re looking for,” Sebastian states, Sam looking like he’s ready to swing a punch. “Sit the fuck down.” He adds, shoving the blond toward the sofa.
The dark-haired boy turns around and crouches down to (Y/N)’s level once again.
“You okay?” He whispers, hand reaching up, hesitantly, to stroke her cheek. She leans into the touch.
She knows Sebastian would never let anything hurt her if he could. She knows that, especially after that shit show.
She shakes her head, attempting a comedic smile but he simply sighs.
“Do you think you can tell us about what happened?”
She glances a cautious look at Sam who’s still staring her down with wide, fury-filled eyes. The wooden floor seems nicer to look at. Less threatening.
“It was six weeks ago; the night I left the saloon early to go prepare for the end of Spring.” Her voice is quiet but she’s honest.
“Six fucking weeks!?” Sam yells, Sebastian glaring at him to keep his mouth shut.
“Ken- He kinda appeared from nowhere, but I know he likes to chill outside when it’s dark so I thought nothing of it.” Her breaths are unstable. She’s shaking. Sebastian gently takes one of her hands and squeezes it. “He offered to walk me home, said he didn’t feel comfortable letting a young girl walk alone at night.”
“Yeah, no shit, because he’s a good fucking guy!”
“Sam, I’m gonna knock you the fuck out in a minute. Shut the fuck up.” Sebastian seethes, glaring daggers at the man.
It shuts him up this time because he believes the words coming from his friend’s lips.
“Keep going, doll.”
She takes a deep breath and nods.
“As I unlocked the door and went to say goodbye, I just felt pain on the back of my neck and blacked out. I don’t know how much later it was when I woke up to him…” She trails off, a sob pouring from her lips.
Sebastian tilts his head back and stares at the blank ceiling of the cottage, taking deep breaths to keep himself from reacting too hard to anything that’s happened.
“Why didn’t you say anything, (Y/N)?” Abby’s timid voice questions.
(Y/N) eyes up Sam.
“Because of him. It’s not fair. I’m sorry.”
The blond doesn’t respond this time.
“You have absolutely nothing to apologise for,” Sebastian whispers.
Her eyes meet his once again. He’s crying his absolute heart out but no sounds escape him.
“I should’ve walked you home.”
(Y/N) desperately shakes her head.
“You can’t do that to yourself, Sebby. It’s not your fault.”
“I love you.”
She nods, crawling into his arms and sitting in his lap.
“I love you so much, doll, and I’m sorry this happened to you.”
“(Y/N),” Sam’s voice prompts her to tense up.
She leans back from Sebastian’s embrace and meets his intense stare
“Swear to me that you’re telling the truth. Don’t fuck with me. Tell me that every detail you’ve just listed is the God's honest truth.”
Her face contorts as a sob escapes her again.
She simply nods, desperately.
“I don’t want it to be true.”
He stands up abruptly and storms out.
“I’ll fucking kill him.”
“Sam!” Abby screams.
Sebastian’s eyes widen and he quickly lifts (Y/N) off of himself.
“I’ll be back for you, I promise.” He holds her face in his hands and she nods.
A kiss to her forehead, a passing message to Abby to look after her, before he’s sprinting out after Sam.
The blond must’ve been sprinting because Sebastian has already lost track of him. He runs as fast as he can down to their house, seeing the door left wide open and running into the doorway, just in time to see Sam grab his father and slam him against the wall by his throat.
“TELL ME IT’S NOT TRUE!”
Jodi comes dashing into the living room, eyes wide and the sight of her usually sweet son in such a state of fury. She glances at Sebastian for any answers but the moment his eyes lay on the soldier, his morals have long gone.
“TELL ME IT’S FUCKING BULLSHIT. TELL ME SHE WAS FUCKING CONFUSED!” Another slam into the wall. Kent doesn’t fight back.
“SAM!” Jodi attempts, it’s useless.
Luckily, Vincent is out with Penny for his daily lessons.
Kent simply glances up over his son’s head and meets Sebastian’s glare. He smirks.
“You really letting a little girl’s words get to your head, Sammy boy?” The elder comments, Sam throwing a punch at his father’s face.
“Did you fucking touch her!?” The blond repeats, Kent spitting a few drops of blood from his mouth on the carpeted floor, barely caring.
“She asked for it; she was walking alone from the saloon at night, what more did I need?”
Sebastian can’t stop himself. He’s storming in, ripping Sam off of his father and slamming the man into the ground. Kneels down on his chest and sends blow after blow straight to the man’s face.
“YOU SON OF A FUCKING BITCH!”
Kent doesn’t fight back. He’s used to this. Finds it comedic.
Jodi’s eyes are wide, she’s shaking.
“What did he do?” She turns to look at her son who’s still glaring at daggers at the man who’s being torn to shreds.
“He fucking raped (Y/N).”
A gasp mixed with a sob rips from her throat.
“He’s gonna kill him.” She adds, Sam nodding.
“Fucking good.”
“SEBASTIAN!”
Her voice shoots through his brain like it’s the only sound he could understand.
He stops his assault and looks up at the front door where Abby is standing, holding the crying woman in her arms.
“You’re going to kill him.” (Y/N) whimpers, Sebastian turning to look at the elder who’s barely conscious.
He fucking deserves it.
He says nothing. Feels the cloud in his brain start to wear off as he realises his number one priority is to protect her.
He’s not sorry.
“Couldn’t keep your fuckin’ mouth shut, huh?” Kent struggles to speak but her eyes lock with his and she feels her breathing lose control once again. “Should’a known little bitches like you can’t handle an experienced-”
The crack of his nose echoes as Sam slams his fist into his father’s face, finally knocking him out.
The woman drops to her knees once more. All she can hear is white noise ringing in her ears. Her vision is filling with colours. She vaguely sees Sebastian running toward her, hands on her face and calling her name, but it falls on deaf ears.
Her eyelids fail her and her body falls forward into the dark-haired boy.
“Fuck, baby,” Sebastian whispers as he catches her limp body.
There’s momentary silence as everyone tries to deal with everything that’s happened. Happening.
“I’m taking her to my house,” Sebastian announces, lifting the woman up, bridal style, and walking away without waiting for a word from anyone else.
She needs space and time. He’ll give it to her.
His mother and Demetrius are away on a trip, Maru never disturbs him anyway. She’ll be okay. She’ll be away from that house too. Both hers and his.
///
The sound of the all-too-familiar mechanical keyboard stirs her from her rest. Sebastian.
But why is she at Sebastian’s? She was at home and-
She jolts up with a gasp. Eyes wide.
Sebastian reacts, his own eyes wide as he sees the woman wake up suddenly.
“Hey, it’s okay. You’re at my house, we’re alone, you’re okay.”
The woman stares at him as it takes her a minute to process his words.
“You passed out; I brought you here. Figured you didn’t want to be alone at that house right now.”
She nods, gulping.
“Here,” The boy offers, handing the woman his water bottle. She graciously accepts and gulps three-quarters of it. “How’re you feeling?”
She looks around as if she’d find the answer to that question somewhere.
She shrugs.
“Scared.”
“You don’t need to be scared, (Y/N). Not anymore.”
He stands up and takes the few steps toward his bed.
“Can I sit?”
She nods, scooching over to allow room for the man.
“I’m sorry, (Y/N).”
Her head shakes. She doesn’t want him to be sorry. He has no reason to be sorry.
“You haven’t done anything wrong.”
“My job is to be there for you-”
“No, it’s not,” The woman is shaking her head this time. “I’m not your responsibility, Seb.”
“No, but you’re the woman I love, the reason I wake up every God damn morning. I should be the one keeping you safe. I want to be the one keeping you safe, but fuck, I failed so hard that night.”
“Seb,”
“You don’t understand how much I look up to you. You’re so unbelievably perfect in your own way, and your innocence and selflessness are your two biggest, most beautiful features, and they were fucking taken advantage of by that son of a bitch…”
“Sebby…” It’s a whimper. She climbs into his lap once again and they hold onto one another as tight as they can.
“I won’t let you go, doll. I won’t let anyone hurt you again, I swear it.”
All the woman can do is nod.
She stays at Sebastian’s for a few days, asking if she can speak to Maru about it.
“Are you sure?” The man’s brows furrow in concern.
“I need to get checked…” She trails off, not wanting to admit the explicit details of what she needs checking for.
His eyes soften in realisation. The man nods.
“I can bring her down here if you prefer?”
(Y/N) hasn’t left Sebastian’s room other than to go to the bathroom, to which she asked the boy to go with her. She was far too scared to do anything alone right now and it crushes both their hearts.
She shakes her head though.
“Kitchen?”
A small smile etches onto Sebastian’s lips as he nods, taking the woman’s hand and leading her upstairs.
“Maru, can I borrow you in the kitchen, please? Important.”
“Two secs!” His sister calls back.
(Y/N)’s fingers dance along the patterns in the wood on their dining table while she waits for Maru to come up.
“You want a drink?” Sebastian asks, boiling the kettle.
“Tea, please.”
“Of course.”
Maru is mildly startled by the unexpected presence of (Y/N) in the room but not bothered.
“Oh, hey, (Y/N)! I didn’t realise you were here.” She smiles.
The farmer can’t form words, simply smiles.
“(Y/N) needs to talk to you about something serious and I need you to keep it confidential.” Sebastian briefs, his sister’s expression falling at the seriousness of her brother’s expression.
She gulps and nods.
“Okay, sure.” Maru confirms, glancing at (Y/N) once more.
The woman hesitates as she searches for the words.
“You want me to…?” Sebastian mutters as he pours the boiling water into a mug for her drink.
(Y/N) shakes her head.
“I had someone…” She pauses, trailing off as she attempts to find the right way to phrase it. “I need to get checked over for anything that might’ve happened following unexpected sexual intercourse.”
She expects Maru’s expression to change but the woman simply nods as she listens, keeping a professional look on her face the whole time. Sebastian admires his sister for that.
“It was forced, and it hurt, so I’d like to make sure that there’s no chance of STIs, damage or,” She trails off again. “Or pregnancy.”
Sebastian freezes up at the statement, having not even thought about the latter.
Maru nods and offers a comforting smile.
“That’s okay. I’m sorry that happened to you, (Y/N), but I’m happy to get you checked out. Harvey will have to know as there are some stages of those checks that I’m still not one-hundred percent familiar with yet. Of course he’ll keep it entirely confidential.”
(Y/N) nods back and returns the smile.
“That’s okay.” Her voice breaks despite the words being a mere whisper.
“When can it be done?” Sebastian asks, sitting the mug of tea in front of the farmer.
“Whenever, really. Harvey will be happy to do it out of hours for you.”
The siblings turn to look at (Y/N), awaiting her response. She can feel the stare but keeps her eyes on the mint green mug that sits in front of her.
“The sooner the better, really.”
“We can head over now if you like? Get it over and done with while town is quiet?” Maru offers.
(Y/N) glances at Sebastian.
“Will you come with me?”
She wants to confidently say that she will be more than safe when with Harvey and Maru, but once upon a time she thought the same about Kent.
“Of course I will.” The man breathes, taking her hand in his and giving it a small squeeze.
The trio get ready and head on down to the surgery, trying to avoid being seen by anyone, which is easy given that it’s eight PM, everyone either in bed or at the saloon.
Maru unlocks the surgery with her key and ushers Sebastian and (Y/N) inside before asking them to wait by the reception desk as she goes and grabs Harvey.
“You okay?” Sebastian whispers, turning to face the woman as she keeps her gaze on the floor.
She shrugs.
“I love you so much, (Y/N). I’m not going to leave your side whilst you recover from this, okay? Not unless you ask me to.”
The woman simply nods her head against his chest as he pulls her in for a hug.
The echoing of footsteps prompts Sebastian to look down the corridor and see Maru and Harvey heading toward the pair.
“Good evening both,” The doctor greets, Sebastian nodding.
“Evening, Harvey, sorry to bother you after hours.”
“Never a bother, Sebastian, but thank you. Would you guys like to come through?”
The pair are led to a medical examination room, everyone taking a seat.
“Maru told me it would be best to let yourself tell me what you’re here for, (Y/N).” Harvey explains, watching the woman keep her eyes on anything else.
Sebastian’s hand rests on the farmer’s lower back, stroking it slowly to keep her grounded.
“I, uh, I need to get checked over for any after-effects from forced sexual intercourse.” She briefs, finally looking up to meet Harvey’s earnest stare. “STIs, damage, pregnancy, whatever.”
The doctor nods in understanding.
“Okay. Just to confirm, are you happy with everyone in this room remaining here whilst I assess you?” He asks, (Y/N) nodding. “Okay. Firstly, are you using any medical contraceptive method? Contraceptive pill, implant, IUD or anything?” He asks, (Y/N) shaking her head.
“None of it.”
“Okay, and when did the intercourse occur?” Harvey continues, opening up the woman’s medical file on his computer.
“Friday, Spring twenty-six. Around nine PM until the early hours of the morning.”
Sebastian feels himself tearing up again as the woman begins to go into depth about that night. This is his first time hearing the full story.
Harvey nods and he makes notes.
“Was it solely vaginal intercourse?”
The woman gulps and glances down at the oh-so-exciting floor once again.
“Giving and receiving of oral.”
The doctor continues to nod and make notes, Sebastian’s eyes remaining on the woman’s face, despite her own remaining on the floor.
“Still forced?” Harvey clarifies, watching her nod and hum and agreement. “Is there any chance any damage could’ve been done to the back of your throat?”
Her eyes clench shut before she nods. She feels Sebastian’s hand tense up on her back before returning to soft strokes. She’s grateful.
“Okay. Did the person physically hurt you anywhere besides the vagina and throat?”
The woman gulps before braving a look up at the doctor.
“I think he hit the back of my neck which knocked me out initially before he’d even touched me. He also choked me until I lost consciousness. That’s all.”
Harvey continues nodding and typing.
Sebastian wants nothing more than to storm out of the hospital there and then and give Kent another piece of his mind, but he knows his priorities right now.
He hasn’t heard from Abigail, Sam or Sam’s family since they confronted the soldier earlier that week. He doesn’t know what’s happened, he doesn’t care right now.
“Okay. I’m going to check you over if that’s okay with you, (Y/N). What I’ll do is check the back of your neck for any signs of damage, then I’ll check the back of your throat before anything more intimate. I’ll test for any infection whilst looking down there, and then we can check for pregnancy. Is that okay?”
She nods.
“Can Sebastian stay?” She manages, voice breaking once again.
Harvey nods with a small smile.
“If you’re comfortable with him here, he’s welcome to stay.”
The woman sits herself on the bed and the doctor begins looking her over. The neck is fine, the throat is fine, but she tenses up as she awaits the next step.
“Do you think you can take your jeans and underwear off for me, (Y/N)?” Harvey asks, his face remaining neutral other than the offer of a reassuring smile.
Her eyes glance at Maru who’s been shadowing the doctor. She simply has the same expression.
The woman nods.
“Okay. I’ll go wait outside with Maru. Would you like Sebastian to wait outside?”
“No.” It’s desperate, her eyes suddenly widening.
The sudden thought of being left to get undressed without Sebastian there to keep her safe is overwhelming.
“That’s okay, (Y/N), it’s no problem. Sebastian, are you happy to stay with her?” The doctor checks, the latter nodding.
“Of course.”
“Okay. We’ll be waiting just outside if you want to give us a shout when you’re ready.”
The farmer nods, as does Sebastian, and they leave, shutting the door behind them.
The pair remain silent for a moment, (Y/N) sitting on the edge of the examination bed.
“Hey,” Sebastian whispers, standing in front of the woman and resting his hands on either side of her face. “You’re okay.”
(Y/N) finally meets his gaze and offers a small smile.
“Thank you.” A breath of words but they make Sebastian’s heart light up.
“You don’t need to thank me, doll. I’ll always be here for you.”
The woman manages to take off her bottom half, leaving them in a pile on the leather chair beside Sebastian.
“Do I look disgusting?” She whispers, sitting back down on the edge of the hospital bed.
She watches the way Sebastian’s eyes widen and his heart breaks at the question.
“(Y/N), you look beautiful.” He remains sat down beside her, hands on his lap, not wanting to make her uncomfortable. “You always have been and always will be beautiful to me.”
They fall into a comfortable silence for a moment before Sebastian offers to go and get Harvey. (Y/N) nods.
“Okay, (Y/N), if you want to lay down for me and spread your legs as much as you comfortably can.”
The doctor checks for everything he needs and takes all relevant tests. She starts crying and Sebastian is immediately by her side, letting her hide her face in his chest and cling into his t-shirt, managing to tell Harvey to keep going.
“It’s okay, baby, it’s okay.” Sebastian murmurs, stroking her hair as she holds onto him for dear life. “You’re safe, (Y/N), I promise. It’s okay, it’ll be over soon.”
Maru admires her brother’s comfort to the farmer. She’s never seen him interact with anyone besides Sam occasionally, and Abigail, but turns out that her brother is an absolute sweetheart behind his cold exterior.
(Y/N) doesn’t let up crying, even when Harvey confirms he’s finished. He asks if he’s okay to check for signs of pregnancy and she manages a tearful affirmation.
Both Maru and Harvey have come to know the farmer very well. She’s an angel to everyone in the town, how could they not? So knowing that someone has forced themselves onto her isn’t exactly easy to deal with. They’re furious and heartbroken, but they can’t show that right now.
About thirty minutes passes, (Y/N) finally calming down and getting dressed, Sebastian still stood by her side, fingers running through her hair in attempted comfort. It works.
“Okay, (Y/N),” The doctor begins, (Y/N) tensing up as she awaits the daunting result she doesn’t dare wish to hear. “I’ve run some tests, I’ve run a couple of them a few times to confirm. (Y/N), I’m sorry but you’re pregnant.”
Sebastian’s eyes widen and his movements seize on the woman. He wishes with all his fucking heart that it could be bad timing and the baby is actually his but he has never once failed to pull out.
The woman trembles all over and simply stares at Harvey.
“One-hundred percent?” She whispers, the doctor nodding.
“I would recommend taking a test in three weeks to confirm again, just in case.” Harvey continues, “The tests for infection usually take a couple of weeks to come back but I’ll let you know as soon as I receive them.”
She barely manages another nod.
“I have some leaflets here with recommendations for local counselling, therapy and support groups in Zuzu city for this kind of trauma in case you’re interested.” He offers, handing them to the woman. “(Y/N), I’ll give you time to think everything over, but I’m going to make you aware that if you decide at any point that you may wish to have an abortion, you must let me know before twenty-four weeks.”
The woman simply nods but her movements are robotic.
“Thank you.”
“I need you to know that above all else, I’m your doctor, and I’ll remain professional in that fact, however as a friend, I’m truly sorry.”
“Thank you, Harvey.” It’s another whisper, but he nods.
Sebastian and (Y/N) leave the surgery, Maru staying behind to speak to Harvey about how her shadowing went, and head back to the Carpenter’s home.
They don’t speak but do hold hands the entire journey.
“Are you hungry?” Sebastian asks as they step inside.
“Not really. I just wanna sleep.”
He wants to tell her that she should eat but all he can think about is giving her what she wants.
“Okay, doll.”
They head into his room where she hovers by the door, suddenly feeling very intrusive, despite how many times she’s made herself at home in this room.
“Do you wanna borrow some pyjamas?” The boy asks, opening his drawers and finding an old tee and some sweatpants for her.
She nods and accepts them.
“I’ll look away while you change - saves you going to the bathroom.”
“Thank you.”
The silence is blissful, Sebastian briefly checking his phone and seeing some missed calls from Abigail but choosing to ignore them. There’s so much to talk about but it can wait until she’s rested.
“You can keep sleeping in my bed. Would you like me to sleep on the floor in here still or on the sofa upstairs?” The man asks as the farmer confirms that she’s dressed.
The woman glances around the room as she contemplates the options.
“Would it be too much to ask you to sleep in the bed with me?”
It could almost be comedic that she’s asking if it would be too much as the pair have slept together in the same bed many a time on many occasions. But this is different.
The last time she shared a bed with a man…
“You could never ask too much of me. I’ll do whatever you need, doll.”
She nods, tucking herself into the bed at the far side against the wall, eyes looking at Sebastian as she awaits him to join.
“Want me to keep my clothes on?” He asks, usually sleeping in only his underwear.
She nods again, looking more anxious than he’s ever seen.
“Please.”
“Okay.” He hopes the smile he offers is as reassuring as he intended.
Sebastian keeps only a sidelight on as he settles himself beside his best friend, rolling on his side to watch her as her eyes remain trained on the ever-interesting ceiling.
It’s when tears escape her eyes once again that he sighs.
“Come here, baby.” She complies without hesitation, rolling over and curling herself into the man as his arms wrap around her. “It’s okay, (Y/N). You’re gonna be okay. I’m not going anywhere, you’re not alone anymore, I promise.”
They fall asleep pretty quickly, Sebastian waking up to the sound of his bedroom door knocking.
He quickly rolls out of bed and pulls it open, not wanting to wake the woman.
“What’s up?” He asks, coming face to face with his sister.
“Sam’s at the door and pretty desperate to see you.” Maru tells him, looking guilty for having to interrupt the boy. “I told him to come back later, but…”
Sebastian shakes his head.
“It’s fine, don’t worry. Thank you.” He smiles at her for the first time in her life. “Can you send him down?”
“Of course.”
The boy turns and admires the woman on the bed as she stirs and manages to open her eyes.
“Good morning.” Sebastian mutters loud enough for her to hear.
“Hi…” She remains snuggled up under the duvet.
Sam’s footsteps coming downstairs capture Sebastian’s attention once more.
(Y/N)’s brows furrow and she sits up, awaiting the visitor.
The two men, who are best friends and can never stop talking, don’t say a word to greet one another.
The blond simply eyes Sebastian, silently asking dozens of questions.
The darker-haired man glances back at (Y/N).
“It’s Sam; you okay with him coming in?” His eyes tell her that if she says no, he’ll make sure that blond leaves and never comes back until she’s happy for him to.
She nods.
Sebastian gestures his head to the blond, inviting him in. Sam looks at the woman, anxiously pulling on the bottom seam of Sebastian’s oversized t-shirt. She’s scared of him. She’s his best friend and he made her scared of him.
He’s fucking stupid. He hates himself. She kept such a horrible fucking secret for so long to try and protect him. She never should’ve had to.
“I’m sorry.” His voice breaks. He wanted to stay strong but he can’t. His best friend was fucking raped by his father. How could he ever be strong after that?
She doesn’t respond, simply tears up.
“I’m so fucking sorry, (Y/N). I scared you. I was angry and overwhelmed with the situation and I acted impulsively. There’s no excuse, I was a fucking horrible friend.” He begins, Sebastian now having shut his bedroom door and taking a seat at his computer desk.
He acknowledges it’s just gone nine-thirty AM.
“I love you so fucking much and I need you to know that I’m here for you. No words on the planet can excuse what that man did to you and I absolutely do not see him as a father - not anymore.”
Her eyes soften.
“Sam-”
“I could’ve killed him (Y/N). I really could’ve. I was going to.” The blond confesses, throwing his head back and taking a deep breath. “Jodi kicked me out.”
“What?” Sebastian breathes, brows furrowed.
“She doesn’t believe it’s true. Told me that we’ve all been fucked up in the head by you.” Sam explains, gesturing to Sebastian.
“What the fuck?”
“I know, right?”
Another silence falls over them.
“I’m pregnant.” She whispers, Sam’s eyes widening and staring at the woman like she’s just grown another pair of legs.
She’s crying. The tears are soaking the t-shirt she’s wearing, soaking the bedsheets, soaking the duvet.
The blond’s head turns, almost mechanically, to Sebastian, his eyes remaining wide.
“Tell me it’s yours.”
Sebastian’s heavy breaths are heard by both of them.
It’s the first time Sam has confessed that he’s painfully aware that his two best friends have slept together. It wasn’t exactly a secret but they weren’t bragging about it. It was casual.
(Y/N) has never wished more that the baby inside her belonged to the emo boy who lives in Robin’s basement.
“I wish I could.”
Sam paces for a moment before walking toward Sebastian’s bedroom door and sending his fist straight through the wall.
“FUCK!”
“Sammy,” Her voice whimpers, the blond spinning round and meeting the tearful expression of his best friend. “I’m so sorry.”
He sobs. Truly. He sobs and strides over to the bed, her arms reaching out for the man which he collides with.
The pair cling onto each other, Sebastian watching with his own tears streaming.
“You’re not alone.” Sam finally states, pulling back from the embrace and resting his hands on the woman’s shoulders. “You’re not alone, (Y/N), I promise you. That baby, you’re beyond welcome to get rid of it, we’d support you every step of the way, but if you wanna keep it, we’re not going anywhere. I can already tell you that Sebastian would be the greatest dad to that kid, and like it or not, they’re gonna be my sibling, and I would fucking die for them. Abigail would be the cool Aunt as well.”
The woman’s lips tremble as she listens to the blond and sees the seriousness in his eyes.
“I’m not letting that fucker anywhere near you or that baby. Neither is Seb.” He promises, leaning forward and pressing a kiss to her forehead. “I’m sorry I got mad, but I promise you I’m on your side. Us against the world.”
Sam gasps as he’s pulled backwards and upright, Sebastian’s arms wrapping around the blond and clinging on tight. He quickly replicates the action as they both sob into each other’s shoulders.
“I love you, man.” Sebastian’s words make Sam tighten his hold.
“You too, bro. I’m sorry I lost my shit.”
Sebastian merely shakes his head.
They pull back slightly as they feel another pair of arms wrap around them. They each wrap an arm around the woman and hold her close.
“Thank you.” Is all the farmer can manage, the boys squeezing her tighter.
“We’re gonna be okay,” Sam whispers, glancing down at the woman who forces a smile and nods. “We’re gonna be okay.”

Request: N/A Contains Spoilers for: Shane 8-heart event Word Count: 5k
---
She remembers the day all too well. She remembers Gus saying he had asked the man politely to leave because he had drank too much. She remembers Marnie saying she saw him grab a case of beers from his room at the Ranch before leaving again. She remembers sprinting through the grass until she catches a glance of the familiar Joja-branded blue jacket.
*** Flashback ***
Drink. Drink. Drink.
Her footsteps roused him. Barely.
“I… I’m sorry,” The man hiccups. “My life… it’s a pathetic joke…”
(Y/N)’s eyes widen as the words stumble out of Shane’s mouth. She knew he was struggling but hearing his pain explicitly crushes her heart.
“Sha-”
“Look at me…” He interrupts her, eyes flickering open only slightly, enough to recognise the black leather boots that are stood in front of him.
He clenches his eyes shut again.
“Why do I even try?” A sob rips from his throat, (Y/N) drops to her knees and gently brushes the stray hairs out of his face. “I’m too small and stupid to… to take control of my life…”
“Shane…” It’s barely a whisper, she doubts he heard it.
“I’m just a p… piece of soiled garbage flittering in the wind…” A burp follows his sorrowful monologue.
(Y/N) moves her hand to the man’s cheek, wiping the stray tears, feeling the unshaved stubble beneath her fingertips.
“I’ve been coming here often lately… looking down…” Her eyes flicker down the tall cliffs, gulping at just hot high up they are. “Here’s a chance to finally take control of my life… These cliffs…”
She gulps. He does too. She knows exactly what he’s referring to because she’s been there. She knows exactly how the minefield in his head looks right now.
“B… bu…” A hiccup and burp escape him at the same time. “But I’m too scared, too anxious. Just like always…”
Her eyes flicker back down to his face. His eyes are glistened over with tears. There’s no life left in them in this moment.
“(Y/N)...” The mentioning of her name surprises her. “All I do is work, sleep, and drink… t… to dull the feelings of self-hatred.”
“Shane…” She doesn’t know what else to say. She doesn’t want to interrupt him. It’s the most she’s ever gotten out of the man.
“Why should I even go on?”
“Shane-”
“Tell me… T… Tell me why I shouldn’t roll of this cliff right now…”
Her hold on his face tightens slightly as if that would stop him.
The woman gulps again. She knows the feeling all too well.
“The decision is your own,” She begins, watching his eyes finally meet hers. He’s clearly intrigued at her answer. “Just know that I’m here for you.” A sob escapes her lips this time. She looks away.
“Thanks…” He murmurs. “I appreciate that…” She nods but doesn’t look at him. “I really do…”
There’s a moment of silence. She can feel a few droplets of rain start to fall.
“(Y/N)...”
She looks back at the man still laying on the ground, barely conscious. He looks worried about her. In a moment like this, he’s worried about her…
“... I think you should take me to the hospital now.” (Y/N) watches the way he attempts a forced smile. He’s trying to reassure her. He acts like a complete asshole but he’s a fucking selfless bastard at heart.
The woman nods and attempts a smile back.
“Okay.”
It’s late. The surgery is definitely closed for the day but Harvey is just gonna have to open up. She bangs on his door, Shane hanging from her body, arm over her shoulders.
The door opens and the Doctor’s eyes widen at the sight.
“Come in.” He opens the door wider and lets them in, quickly ushering Shane to one of the medical beds.
She waits outside while Harvey does what he needs to, praying that he’ll be okay.
Unsure how many hours later Harvey brings her into the room. She releases a breath she hadn’t realised was being held at the sound of his heartbeat on the machines.
“I’ve pumped his stomach and re-hydrated his body. He’s going to be okay.”
Tears fill her eyes once more and she nods, not taking her eyes off the man for a second.
“It’s good that you brought him in though.” Another nod. “Too much alcohol is terrible for the body… but right now I’m most worried about his mental health…”
She nods. She agrees. But she thinks he’ll be okay. She’ll make sure of it.
“When he comes to, I’ll have a chat with him about his treatment options. I know an excellent Counsellor in Zuzu City.”
Another nod. Her eyes remain on the sleeping body. She knows about Harvey’s Counsellor in the city because it was only a couple of years back that it was her that was being referred. She’s grateful he doesn’t mention it and treats them as two separate issues.
“Life can be painful sometimes.” Harvey offers, “But there’s always hope for a better future. You’ve got to believe in that.”
She wants to believe him. She tries.
It’s a few days later when a knock at her door first thing in the morning catches her attention away from the Sashimi she’s cooking up for Linus.
Her eyes widen at the sight of Shane, looking a lot healthier than earlier that wek.
“Hey…” He begins, noticing her loss of words.
He scratches the back of his neck, unsure where to start.
His mouth opens and closes a few times but falls speechless.
“Oh man… Uh… How do I say this…” He glances off to the side, staring aimlessly at the maple tree beside her cottage. “I’m really sorry about what happened at the cliffs. That was… embarrassing…”
She couldn’t disagree more. There’s nothing to be embarrassed about. She didn’t feel awkward. She felt scared. He shouldn’t feel embarrassed for needing help. She wants to tell him all of these things but she can barely remember how to breathe, let alone speak.
“I’m just happy you’re still here.” She manages, forcing what she hopes to be a smile.
Shane’s brows furrow at the tears forming in the farmer’s eyes. He gulps.
“Wow, it was that serious, huh? I can hardly remember…” He mumbles, scratching the back of his neck once more.
She gulps and looks down. Of course he can’t. He was drunk.
“I’ve decided I want to see a therapist.” He begins, turning to fully look away from her now. Harvey got me in touch with a colleague of his…”
Yes. She knows them well.
“Anyway… I just wanted to thank you for taking care of me. And I want you to know that I’m going to take things a little more seriously from now on.” She manages another pitiful attempt of a smile and nods. “I don’t want to be burden on anyone.” He keeps his gaze locked on hers when he says that.
She goes to shake her head but he’s already walking down the steps and back toward the forest.
“You’re never a burden, Shane.”
*** Flashback End ***
It’s exactly because she remembers that night two years ago that she shouldn’t be doing this. She should stop before she makes the same mistakes he nearly did but she can’t.
He’s never known of her struggles; she made sure to keep it that way. He’s working so hard on getting better and he’s doing so well. The last thing he needs is her downfall to drag him back down. She doesn’t think she can keep pretending much longer though, so she’s decided to quit while she’s ahead.
Friday night. Everyone will be at the Stardrop. No-one will notice she’s missing. That’s what she’s telling herself anyway. The truth of the matter is that it’s exactly because she’s not at Stardrop on Friday night that people will notice her absence.
Sebastian is the last to arrive out of him, Sam and Abigail, he nods at Shane as he enters, the elder returning the gesture. They’ve never spoken directly much, they’re both the quieter residents of Pelicon Town, but they’re both good friends with her which put them at a mutual friendship.
“Hey, man, how you doing?” Sam greets, doing some handshake with the dark-haired boy.
“Not bad, thanks. You good, Abby?”
The woman nods, glancing up from her phone.
“(Y/N) in the bathroom?” He asks, grabbing his pool cue off of the wall.
“No, she’s not here; I thought she’d be with you.” Sam responds, replicating the actions.
Sebastian’s eyes furrow. (Y/N) is always here at four on the dot and would definitely text one of them is anything changed.
“She text?”
“Nope.” Sam confirms. “She’s probs running late; I’m pretty sure Clint had an advert out for some copper ore from the mine so I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s grabbing that.”
Sebastian nods.
“Fair enough.”
Three pool games later, Sebastian watches as Shane turns the corner from the main bar into the games room.
He stands in the doorway, eyes on Sebastian.
They have a conversation with their eyes which is missed entirely by the other two in the room.
“You alright, Shane?” Abigail asks.
The man doesn’t take his eyes off Sebastian.
“I don’t know where she is.” Sebastian states, resting his pool cue on the table.
“Last time you saw her?” Shane asks in response.
Sebastian shrugs.
“Not today.”
“What’s going on?” Sam asks, Sebastian turns to look at his friend.
“You seen (Y/N) today?”
“Oh, no, sorry; why, what’s up?”
“I’m gonna head to the farm.” Shane dismisses himself.
“Do you want me to come with?” Sebastian offers, the elder shaking his head but not looking back at them.
Shane tells himself he’s not bothered about the whereabouts of the woman he’s become close with over the years but he knows it’s utter bullshit. He’s not leisurely walking to the farm, he’s speed walking. Hell, he may as well be sprinting, but he’s trying to avoid looking suspicious. The last thing he needs is people wondering why he’s so worried just because he hasn’t seen the cute new farmer in a few days.
He says ‘new’, but it’s been nearly four years since she moved to the Valley. Best four years of his life.
She was always persistent in getting to know the man. Even bought him a drink from the bar every evening despite everyone giving her dirty looks for encouraging his toxic habits. She didn’t care. She asked him questions, wanted to understand why he’s always at the Stardrop. No-one else did that. They all looked down on him. Selfish bastards really.
It was a few months after the incident at the cliffs that they both acted impulsively under the influence.
*** Flashback ***
They’re both filling the saloon with laughter at this point. It’s eleven-forty-five and they’re almost the last two there, Gus grateful that she’s steadying the speed at which Shane drinks. He hasn’t noticed.
“He wears pink underwear.” Another round of laughter.
“Big scary Morris from Joja wears pink underwear? That’s incredible. I’m surprised it’s not branded!” (Y/N) cackles, Shane chuckling also.
“It probably is!”
Gus politely asks them to leave as it rounds up to midnight, the pair stumbling out of the saloon doors together.
“Guess it’s way past my bedtime.” The woman comments, glancing down at the silver watch adorning her wrist.
A gift from Shane for her birthday last week. Clint put it together for him.
“Guess so.” The man responds, the pair stood in front of one another in front of the saloon. The only sound being the river running down south and some crickets in the bushes. “I’m really grateful to have you in my life, (Y/N).”
The woman meets his gaze and smiles, earnestly.
“Same goes to you, Shaney.”
He’s unsure whether her eyes flickered to his lips first or vice versa, but they both step forward simultaneously and crash their lips together. Her hands are grasping at his jacket, pulling him impossibly closer, whilst he has one hand holding the back of her head close to his, and the other wrapped around her waist.
Whose tongue invaded whose mouth first is still an unanswered question, they’re both desperate. Perhaps it’s the alcohol or perhaps the booze only gave them the little dutch courage that was needed to get them both to act on their desires.
“Fuck, (Y/N),” He gasps as her lower body tries to grind against his.
“Shane,” The woman whimpers.
He momtentarily pulls back to look around. There’s no where ideal for them. He doesn’t care. He needs her. In fact, he needs to satiate the carnal need that she’s showing.
He grabs her wrist and yanks her around, slamming her against the side wall of the saloon, lips pressed against hers, wrists pinned above her head.
“Oh fuck!”
“Shut that pretty fuckin’ mouth of yours if you don’t want anyone to see us.” He warns, biting lightly at her lower lip before grinding his core into her own.
Her jaw is dropped but no sound comes out. Her eyes locked on his own.
“That’s my girl.”
Her eyes roll and he fucking loves it.
The convenience of the short skirt around the woman’s waist is the best thing Shane has seen all day, his free hand sliding up and simply pressing his fingers against the panty-cladded core.
“You’re fucking soaked,” He groans, forehead pressed against her own.
(Y/N) whimpers in response, hips bucking to get some pressure from the man.
“Look at you… so fucking needy. How long have you thought about this, huh? How long have you been craving me touching your sexy little body?”
Another moan. He cuts her off with a kiss.
“I said shut up, or do you want to get caught!?” He warns, watching the excitement dance in her eyes. “Oh, you’d fuckin’ like that, wouldn’t you? Alex walking out of his house and seeing Miss Innocent Farmer dripping down her fuckin’ legs just at the thought of him watching me fuck you?”
The desperation in her eyes makes his own knees weak. He doesn’t just want to fuck this woman, he wants to make sure that she never suffers in her life. She deserves the fucking world.
“You want that, princess? Want me to fuck your pretty pussy?”
She nods frantically. The pet name is new but she fucking loves it.
“Shaney, please,”
“Please what, (Y/N)?”
“Please fuck my pussy. Please, need your cock in my pussy so fucking bad.”
He moans aloud. He swears he’s never been so turned on in his life.
“God, yes, princess.” The man releases her wrists for a moment only to unbuckle his belt and pull down his shorts and under, rock hard cock springing out.
She’s instant at dropping to her knees and taking his shaft into her mouth.
“Oh, fuck!” He’s loud, hand slapping over his mouth and quickly looking around to make sure no lights suddenly turn on. (Y/N) doesn’t stop, however. “Fuck, princess, you’re so fuckin’ good at that. Taking my cock so fuckin’ well.”
He’s embarrassed at how quickly he gets to the edge, but he’s not ready to stop yet.
His hand slides into her hair, pulling her off his cock and back up, slamming his lips on hers, both stumbling into the wall of the saloon.
Her breaths are heavy and desperate, her hand going back to his shaft.
“God you can’t taking your fucking hands off it for a second, can you? Who knew our sweet little farmer was such a cock-hungry whore?”
Her head lolls back against the wall, a quiet moan ripping from her lips.
“Shaney, please, I can’t cope anymore.”
“Aw, bless your fuckin’ cotton socks.” He mocks, hands sliding under her skirt once more and ripping at the fabric that’s there.
Her eyes widen and a gasp echoes in the midnight air.
Shane shoves the torn fabric of her panties into her mouth before lifitng her up, legs wrapping around his waist.
“Wait, I’m too heavy!” He makes out the muffled words through the fabric.
“Shut the fuck up.” He groans, completely disagreeing with her statement. He’s lifted crates of beer heavier than her - not that he’s proud. “If you’re gonna complain then I can stop. I’ll walk you home and leave you to try sleep. See if you can try get yourself off without me before bed.”
The woman’s head shakes desperately, eyes full of wanton and need.
“Fuck me, Shane, please.” He can understand her words despite the fabric barrier.
“That’s my fuckin’ girl.”
Without another thought, he uses one hand to line himself up with her pussy before slowly sliding in, her eyes widening and his clenching shut, both moaning at how fucking perfect they feel together.
“Oh fuck, princess, such a perfect fucking pussy; feel so fuckin’ good around me.”
She whimpers, tears in her eyes at just how good it feels.
“That feel good, baby?” He asks, watching her nod. “Good girl. Want me to fuck you slow or hard?”
“Hard!” He knows exactly what she said through the fabric but he smirks.
“What was that, (Y/N)?” He slides all the way out before slamming his cock back into her, her eyes widening and a scream ripping from her throat.
He doesn’t care who hears anymore. Neither of them do.
“You want me to fuck you hard, princess? Like a fucking whore?” He absolutely rails her. Best sex either of them have ever had.
They’re both moaning, hips moving desperately.
“Fuck, princess, I’m so fucking close. You gonna cum for me, baby? Gonna cum on my cock? Give me it, baby, give me all your fucking cum.”
Oh and she does. Her eyes roll back and head almost lolls but he growls.
“Eyes on me, (Y/N). Keep those pretty fucking eyes on me while I fill this slutty pussy with cum.”
Her screams of pleasure are music to the man’s ears. He’s desperate. Fuck, he’s so close.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck, (Y/N), baby, princess, I’m gonna fucking cum, I’m gonna fucking fill up this cunt!”
The man fucking roars. Her pussy squeezes his cock for every drop of cum he has to give, painting her white. Assuming she’s on birth control, they both doubt that’d even protect them from the amount he’s just filled her with.
They’re both panting, sweaty foreheads pressed against one another. Shane helps the woman down, her knees almost buckling. He catches her.
“Woah!” Their eyes meet and they’re both giggling like school children. “You okay, gorgeous?”
It throws her off-guard. She nods.
Another chuckle from Shane as he removes the woman’s underwear from her mouth.
“Gimme your words, princess.”
“M’okay.”
“Mm, good girl.” He looks down at the sopping wet panties in his hand before sliding them into his jacket pocket. “These are mine now.”
(Y/N) giggles and shakes her head.
“What am I gonna do with you, Shaney?”
“Mm, I don’t know, but I’ll walk you home for now.”
She nods and they head on back to the cottage. He kisses her cheek goodnight before pressing another soft kiss to her lips.
“Goodnight, (Y/N).”
“Goodnight, Shane.”
*** Flashback End ***
That was two years ago. They haven’t fucked again since then, but they’ve been closer friends. He daren’t ask her out because he thinks she deserves better, she hasn’t asked him out because she’s too scared she’ll drag him back down.
The farm is quiet. No surprise given it’s nearly seven-PM on Friday night. He acknowledges that they’re no lights on at the cottage but knocks on the door anyway.
“(Y/N)? It’s Shane; you in?”
No answer.
He tries the door. Locked.
He chuckles to himself as if this were to be some movie scene where the door unlocked and she’d be fast asleep in bed absolutely fine. She won’t be in bed. She’s not able to sleep until eleven or twelve at the earliest.
He paces south toward Cindersap Forest, decided to start there and make his way up toward the mountains.
He notices the absence of trees that were surrounding Leah’s cottage earlier that day, so she’s most likely been to the forest at some point today. He sighs and crosses the wooden bridges, glancing between the gaps in the trees before it gets too dark to see anything.
He almost misses it. Has to do a double-take, but as he gets closer and closer to the sewer, he sees it and he swears his legs almost give out.
“(Y/N)?” He calls out, striding toward the noticeable body laying on the grass near the edge of the cliff. That cliff. “(Y/N)!”
He doesn’t know why he’s yelling. He sounds the same as when he tells Jas off for disappearing into the forest for too long and he expresses his worry through anger.
Oh.
But why’s he worried?
“(Y/N), the hell are you doi-” The man’s voice trails off as he spots the collection of empty orange pill bottles beside the woman, along with an almost-empty bottle of Vodka.
He swears time freezes. His eyes are wide and white noise fills his ears.
“(Y/N)!” His scream echoes across the whole God-damn valley.
He drops to his knees, taking in her pasty-white complexion, parted lips and the vomit covering her cheeks.
“Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck, FUCK!” The man shoves the empty pill bottles in his pockets before lifting her up into his arms, sprinting back into town, straight toward the Doctor’s. “HARVEY!”
No response.
He’s kicking the door down, he’s crying. Sobbing. Begging.
“HARVEY, FUCKING- PLEASE!”
He barely registers the door opening, the doctor’s eyes widening at the sight. Harvey ushers Shane inside, pointing to a bed which Shane lays the woman down on. Harvey is speaking but no words are registering in Shane’s mind.
He watches Harvey connect God knows how many wires and machines to the woman’s body.
How didn’t he see this? How long has she been suffering before ending up like this? How fucking long has he been oblivious to her pain? She fucking saved him while she was…
Harvey is in front of him now, mouth moving, words forming, but they’re lost on Shane’s ears. The doctor must notice because he starts leading Shane out of the room. Shane shakes his head and shoves his way back in. He’s not leaving her side. No. He left her alone for too long. He won’t do it again.
Some beeping interrupts the white noise and Harvey rushes over, working rapidly on the woman. Shane’s trembling. Fuck. He can’t lose her. There’s no way. She fucking- she was hurting this bad? To fucking overdose?
Overdose.
Shane reaches into his pockets and pulls out the empty pill bottles, handing them to the doctor who’s working on the woman. The doctor’s eyes widen at the sight, taking them from the man’s hands. He’s speaking once again but Shane understands nothing.
He can’t take his eyes off her face. It’s so pale. She’s so fucking pale. She doesn’t look alive, she looks de-
“SHANE!”
The man glances at Harvey who’s leaping toward him, but that’s all he sees before darkness.
///
Monotonous beeping. What a pain in the ass. He swears it’s Saturday, why the fuck is his alarm going off?
That’s not his alarm.
(Y/N).
The man jolts upright before even opening his eyes. The bright light in the hospital room almost burns but he doesn’t care. He rips the wires off his body before sprinting around the hospital looking for her. He rips open every door until he finally finds the one with Harvey in, hovering over her body.
“Shane, you’re awake” The doctor greets, eyes wide at the sudden intrusion.
Shane gulps. He can’t see her face from where’s he’s stood.
“How is she?”
“She’s alive.”
He drops to his knees in that moment, Harvey dashing forward but Shane holds his palm up.
“I’m okay.”
The doctor nods and takes a step back.
“I pumped her stomach and re-hydrated her. She’s okay. You got her here in time.” Harvey explains.
He steps forward again and holds out his hand.
Shane glances at it and sighs, taking it and lets the doctor help him up.
He finally sees her. She’s less pale but has an oxygen mask on, covered in wires and connected to God-knows how many machines doing fuck knows what.
“Has she ever done this before?” The man braves, not taking his eyes off of the woman.
Harvey coughs into his fist.
“I’m afraid due to patient confidentiality-”
“That’s a yes.”
They fall into silence once again.
“Why?” Shane whispers. He finally looks at the doctor. “Why did she do it?”
The doctor sighs and takes a seat in one of the chairs beside the bed.
“I could never say. She struggled with life in the city - she lost her parents a few months before she moved here. She struggled when she first arrived but got a lot better. I haven’t seen her this bad for over three-years. Last time was because she wasn’t ready to start a new life alone.” He explains, Shane nodding and tearing up. “You helped her.” Harvey adds, watching Shane’s tears fall. “You helped each other.”
“She helped me more than I helped her.” He confesses, watching her still body remain unconscious.
“You can’t do that to yourself, Shane.”
The two men fall into a silence as they simply watch the woman.
“I’ve got to go and sort out some paperwork. She shouldn’t be out for too much longer. You’re welcome to stay.” Harvey states, standing up.
Shane nods.
“Thanks, doc.”
Harvey rests his hand on the man’s shoulder, capturing his attention.
“She loves you.”
Shane’s eyes widen at the statement.
“She doesn’t believe you love her anymore than you believe me when I tell you the same thing.”
The doctor leaves after that.
Shane takes the woman’s hand in his own, leaning down and pressing his lips to her knuckles.
“I can’t do this without you, you fuckin’ idiot.”
///
The sight of the hospital ceiling is all too familiar for (Y/N) to not remember.
“You’ve got to be shitting me.” She whispers to herself, glancing at the monitors beside her that show her vitals.
The woman takes a deep breath and makes sure she can feel everything normally in her body, and that’s when she feels something to her right. Rolling her head, her eyes widen at the sight of Shane sat in the chair beside her, leant over, hand holding hers with his head resting on the bed, fast asleep.
“Shane…” It’s barely a whisper.
Her eyes well-up immediately and she can’t stop the tears pouring.
Did he find her? God, fuck, she hopes he didn’t, but Harvey wouldn’t call him. He wouldn’t.
The door opening catches her attention, Harvey’s eyes widening at the sight of her being up and awake. He notices Shane’s comatose state and keeps his voice down.
“How’re you feeling?”
She simply nods.
“Fine. Thank you. For saving me. Again.”
The doctor sighs and checks over her vitals.
“You don’t need to thank me, it’s what I’m here for.”
They both remain silent for a few moments.
“Did he find me?”
Harvey nods.
“Just in time too.”
“Fuck.”
Another moment’s silence.
“He loves you, (Y/N).”
“He deserves better.”
“You don’t get to decide what he deserves, love.” Harvey utters, smiling at her. “I’m gonna keep you in for another day or so just so I can make sure everything is out your body, okay?”
She nods.
“Thank you.”
When she hears the door click shut, she releases a sob. It’s loud. It’s desperate. She’s fucking distraught.
“Shane,”
The man stirs for a moment before acknowledging the sound of her cries. He jolts up, eyes wide, staring at the woman who’s awake once more and staring at him with heartbroken eyes.
“I’m so sorry!” She whines, Shane cursing and moving to sit on her bed, both of them clinging onto one another and crying. “I’m so fucking sorry!”
“Shh, baby, shh, it’s okay. It’s okay.” He coos, not having felt this emotional in decades.
“I don’t know what to do! It hurts so fucking bad. I don’t wanna be alone anymore!”
His heart shatters at the woman’s words.
“You’re not alone, princess. Fuck, you’ll never be alone, you never have been alone. I’ve always had you. Always will.” He’s holding her impossibly close. They haven’t been this intimate since the night outside the Stardrop, but this is so very different. The other side of intimacy.
“I can’t drag you down again, I can’t! You’re doing so well!”
“(Y/N), princess, listen to me, please,” Shane begins, pulling back and holding the woman’s face in his hands.
Their foreheads pressed together as tears fall from both of them.
“You could never drag me down. All you’ve ever done is lift me out of the mess I was once in. You saved my fuckin’ life, baby girl, I swear to you. Nothing you could ever do would drag me down, especially not this.” He states, enunciating each word.
“Shaney…”
“I love you, (Y/N). God, I fucking love you. Seeing you at that God damn cliff edge nearly fuckin’ killed me. I thought I was too late. You were so fucking pale, there were so many bottles- I- fuck, princess, I can’t lose you. I’ve lost a fuckin’ lost in this world but I can’t lose you. I won’t. I realise now how fuckin’ awful that night must’ve been for you when I lost my shit, and i’m fucking sorry, but I can’t lose you.”
“Shaney,” She sobs once more.
“You’re not alone, princess, I swear it.”
Their eyes are locked still and she can’t stop herself from pressing her lips to his own.
“I love you so much, fuck, please don’t leave me.”
“I wouldn’t even dream of it, (Y/N).”

It's Done | Sebastian x Reader (Angst)
Category: Angst (Suggested) Age: 17+ Trigger Warnings: Mention of cheating, suicide attempt, implied suicide, overdose Ship: Sebastian x Reader Summary: Sebastian tells (Y/N) the truth about her boyfriend, his best friend, Sam, and she simply spirals after that Request: N/A Contains Spoilers for: N/A Word Count: 5.1k
---
The Luau of all possible times to break the information to her. The truth. The truth that made the woman’s heart crumble almost as hard as when her Grandfather died - which says a lot about how much she loved Sam.
They were sitting around the campfire on the Beach, all laughing and joking around. Abigail being loud for once, but that’s most likely a result of the alcohol coursing through her system, Sam making terrible jokes along with the purple-haired woman, and Sebastian just keeping his usual stoic expression, arms out behind him, palms flat in the sand to keep him half sat up and half laying down.
“Remember that time we broke into JojaMart before it was fully constructed? We nearly got caught by Morris!” Sam laughs, lightly pushing Abigail to emphasise his story.
The woman laughs harder than what (Y/N) would deem necessary but she wasn’t there at that time in their life.
“Oh my God, Sammy, we could’ve gotten into serious trouble!” Abigail squeals, the pair hiccuping on the alcohol in their bloodstream and the cackles pouring from their lips.
(Y/N) furrows her brows at that moment.
Sammy?
Whenever (Y/N) attempted to use the same nickname on the blond, he immediately shut it down. Said he hated it. She questioned no further. Her boyfriend didn’t need a reason to dislike a certain nickname, but how come it’s okay for Abigail to use it?
Then again, they are absolutely smashed.
Sebastian stands up suddenly, throwing on his hoodie and pulling out his cigarettes, gesturing toward them as Abigail and Sam glance in his direction.
Sam nods whilst Abigail turns her attention back to the blond and continues with their humorous story. Seeing a glint in the quiet man’s eyes that almost pleads with her to trust him, (Y/N) stands up and murmurs some excuse about going for a quick walk to stretch her legs, which her boyfriend pays no mind to.
She follows Sebastian up the pier until they’re stood in front of Willy’s shop, the building protecting them from the sights of their friends on the beach.
“What’s going on?” (Y/N) begins as the man lights the cigarette hanging from his lips.
He remains silent as he takes the first drag before pulling it from his mouth, sighing out the toxic smoke into the cool, night air of Spring.
“He’s cheating on you.”
The breath is taken straight from her lungs at that moment. The man breathing all the available air around them through the next drag of his cigarette.
“Sorry?” Her voice is quiet. Almost a squeak.
Sebastian turns to look at the woman then, not having ever heard her sound so quiet. So vulnerable.
“I’m sorry, I should’ve probably sugar-coated that a bit.”
This is the most conversation she’s gotten out of the man in all three-years they’ve been friends. Well, friends might be pushing it. Three-years since they’ve been acquainted.
(Y/N) shakes her head but keeps her eyes on the sea, not daring to move. She doesn’t know if she can.
“How long?” Are the only words she manages.
The man sighs and turns his own eyes back to the water, taking another drag of the cigarette.
“I don’t know for sure; I caught them making out behind The Stardrop after Gus’ birthday party last year on my way home.”
The realisation is too much, the woman wretches, knees almost buckling as she throws up the contents of her stomach, tainting the gorgeous blue water below them.
Sebastian panics, throwing his cigarette into the water without a second thought, grabbing the woman carefully but strong enough to make sure she doesn’t fall. One hand around her waist with the other holding her hair out the way of the waterfall of alcohol and feelings that rips from her mouth.
“Hey, woah, shit, okay, it’s okay, just let it out.” He stumbles over his words a little bit. She’s not surprised. This is probably the most human interaction he’s had in years, and it’s unfortunately being used to soothe her shattering heart.
They remain silent while she comes down from her vomiting.
“You good?” He offers when she’s finally settled for at least sixty-seconds.
She opens and closes her mouth a few times, spitting into the water to try remove the horrible aftertaste that curses her mouth.
She nods before changing it to the shaking of her head before changing it back.
“Do we have any water?” She asks, Sebastian now taking the opportunity to remove the contact he has on her.
“I’m pretty sure we have a few bottles left back there from the Luau.” He tells her, eyes locked on the side profile of her face as she still stares out at the sea.
A breath of a laugh escapes her lips. She spits again and turns to face away from the man.
“Thank you, Sebastian. Have a good night.”
He doesn’t say anything. He just watches as she walks back down the pier toward their two friends who’ve been deceiving her for God-knows how long, but she doesn’t even know it was Abigail yet.
She broke up with Sam that night. There and then on the beach. Abigail looks gobsmacked, and Sam just looks confused. Maybe upset.
The cottage is noticeably colder that night, the alcohol in her own system not helping at all. Fortunately she has to be up at six-AM to feed the chickens and water some of the new plants she bought that she hasn’t had time to craft some sprinklers for yet, so she only has to manage four hours in the bed. Alone.
The next day is dull. So are the six that follow after that. She doesn’t leave the farm. She doesn’t go into town and check the bulletin boards and help everyone like she always did. She doesn’t go for breakfast with Lewis on Tuesday like they always did, and she doesn’t help Leah with painting on a Thursday afternoon. She just wakes up, tends to her farm - the bare minimum she can do - and then goes back to bed.
She doesn’t cry. No. She just feels numb.
Sam made her feel more welcomed into Stardew Valley than anyone else. He showed her more love and affection than she had ever even seen before when she lived in the city. And he understood how she felt because he used to live in the city too. And yet, that wasn’t enough. She gave him her all and it was still never enough. She never was, never has been, and never will be, enough.
The knock at her cottage door startles her. Literally. She jumps and a peak of a squeal escapes her lips as she stares down the small corridor of her home that connects the bedroom to the living room where her front door is.
For a second she thinks she’s hallucinating. Thinks that she made the sound up in her head. But then it knocks again. Firmer this time.
She gulps and clambers out of bed, quickly scanning herself over in the body-length mirror to see if she looks as bad as she thinks. She does, but she doesn’t have much of a choice. Her lights are on and everyone in this village knows she would never leave them on if she was out.
Pulling open the door, she expected her ex-boyfriend, not his best friend.
“Hey.” Is the only word he says, cigarette between his fingers once again.
“Hi.”
She feels cliche. Like she’s in some movie. Why is this so awkward? Oh, yeah, right, because Sebastian has never once given her the time of day, so why the hell is he on her doorstep? Alone? The only time he’s done this was to come and have band practice with Sam and Abigail.
He almost seems to be asking himself the same question: why is he here?
“Are you okay?”
It catches her off-guard.
“Yeah, why?”
He raises a brow at her answer as if she’s stupid.
“No offence but why are you here?” She adds, watching him shrug and look around for an appropriate ashtray.
She offers her hand out and takes the stub off of him, keeping it in her hand to throw away once she’s back inside.
“Thought I’d check in. You missed, uhm, Sam’s birthday party. You really like parties.”
The statement catches her off-guard. Not that she missed her ex’s birthday, no, but Sebastian noticed that she likes parties?
“How do you know that?” She asks, eyebrows furrowed.
“Uh, cause you’re always your happiest at any party.”
She’s confused. Very confused.
“Yeah, but how do you know that?”
“Cause I’ve seen you at the parties? I’m confused; what do you want me to say?”
“You noticed me?”
A mild blush coats his cheeks as he sighs and glances away from her.
“You’re usually pretty chatty so you’re not exactly hard to miss.”
Ouch.
“Not in a bad way. I mean, like, you’re the life of the party most of the time. You’ve never missed a single one.” He defends, noticing the way her face drops at his words. “I just, I know you broke it off, but I was surprised you missed it nonetheless. I just wanted to check how you were doing.”
“I’m fine, thank you, sorry for your wasted journey.” She closes the door after that, too tired to socialise anymore.
As much as she doesn’t want to be, she’s grateful that someone came to check on her. At least she’s still wanted. She’s just surprised it was Sebastian of all people.
Perhaps she wants him to knock again and tell her that he’s not leaving until he knows for sure that she’s okay, but that’s not what she really wants. Or is it? She doesn’t know.
Another week passes and she’s now more aware of all the birthdays she’s missing. She feels particularly bad for missing Demetrius’ party, given that him and Robin made her feel so welcomed into the Valley when she first arrived, let alone the fact that it’s almost Sebastian’s step-father. She missed Willy’s birthday too, but she knows she could never have attended that. It’s always hosted at the beach, obviously, and she’s not too sure she could face going back there.
Fourteen-days since she had her heart broken by her boyfriend, and he wasn’t even the one to admit it.
Maybe she should’ve at least checked that Sebastian’s words were true before she made such a rash decision, but deep down she knows they definitely were. The man of few words would always choose to not speak if he could, but something made him want to tell her that day. She trusts him. He’s always honest if he does choose to speak.
Maybe she should’ve asked who Sam cheated with. But the truth is she doesn’t care. Why should she? The point is that he chose to crush her heart, it doesn’t matter who he used to do that.
It’s the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies on Sunday. Her favourite holiday of the year. Whilst she thoroughly enjoys Summer, she adores Winter. She loves snow far too much.
For the last three years, she went with Sam, always. He always told her that he adores the way her eyes glimmer in the light of the jellyfish.
What a load of utter bullshit.
She knows she should go though. People really will start to worry since they know how much she adores it.
So she goes. She drags herself out of bed, showers, tends to her farm, wears her favourite silver dress and walks down to the beach for the first time in seventeen days.
“(Y/N)!” Leah exclaims, running across the sand to give the woman a hug. “Oh my goodness, where have you been!? I’ve missed you so much!”
(Y/N) giggles and grins.
“I’m sorry! I’ve been feeling a little down so just been focusing on keeping the farm up to standard. How’ve you been?”
If the woman is being honest, Leah’s words and life update go straight in one ear and out of the other. She’s too caught up in her own thoughts on looking around in search of that distinctive blond hair.
“Sorry, I’m keeping you from saying hello to everyone! I’ll see you around, (Y/N)!” The red-head finally says, (Y/N) smiling earnestly and nodding before continue her route around the beach, saying hello to everybody, apologising to Willy for missing his birthday, as with Demetrius, but then she stands at the bottom of the right-hand pier where the band are stood chatting at the top.
Well, two of them are chatting.
“You doing okay?” (Y/N)’s head turns to her left where Haley and Alex are standing, both looking at the woman with a solemn smile.
She simply beams in response and nods.
“Yeah, for sure, thank you! How’re you guys doing?” The woman offers, Haley nodding.
“Pretty good, thanks. I left my camera at home though.”
“Again!?” (Y/N) jokes, Alex chuckling.
“She always does.” The jock agrees.
Their conversation ends but the woman doesn’t move, keeping her eyes on the trio at the top once again.
As if feeling her stare, Sebastian turns his head and catches her eye, a brief smile taking over his face as he notices her. He glances at his two friends, seeing them too caught up in their own conversation, before walking down the pier.
“I’m glad you came.”
The woman smiles and nods.
“I guess I had to leave the farm at some point so people wouldn’t think I was dead.” She attempts to joke, which he surprisingly chuckles at.
“Yeah.”
The pair fall into a silence for a few moments, the chatter of the villagers filling the space, along with the sound of the waves hitting the wooden pier.
“How’s he doing?” She dares, the pair looking at the blond as he continues joking around with Abigail.
Sebastian doesn’t answer. She doesn’t want one really.
“Are you excited?” She offers instead.
“I’m pretty sure I saw something big and dark moving down there to be honest.” He answers, making the woman chuckle.
“You sure that wasn’t your reflection?”
Another laugh from the usually silent man.
“I’m going to send off the boat, folks.” Lewis’ voice captures everyone's attention.
“You should go back to them.” (Y/N) smiles, her and Sebastian finally looking at one another again.
He shrugs.
“No need.”
She smiles. Whether Sebastian really doesn’t care about standing with his friends, or whether he just doesn’t want (Y/N) to be alone, she appreciates it.
The jellyfish appear shortly after Lewis sends off the boat, everyone gasping and whispering, but (Y/N) and Sebastian remain silent. She smiles at the view. It’s her favourite. Beautiful.
“You’re happy.” Sebastian murmurs.
She doesn’t respond.
It’s unfortunate timing when the woman turns her head and watches as her ex-boyfriend and best-friend lock lips under the light of the jellyfish, their arms wrapped around one another in a way that looks so… natural.
Surely not? Surely there’s no way that her boyfriend and her best friend have been fucking around behind her back. Surely?
She feels bile rising up in her throat again. The same way it did when Sebastian first confessed the truth behind her lying boyfriend.
“Tell me I’m hallucinating.” She murmurs, Sebastian now looking at (Y/N) before diverting his attention to whatever it is she’s staring at.
His eyes widen at the sight. He knew it was Abigail, sure, but Sam said it wasn’t ever going to be a public, legitimate thing. Just a friends-with-benefits kind of deal. That doesn’t make it better but it meant that she was safe from coming out to events like this without having to see that.
The quiet man gulps and she hears it.
“You knew it was her.” It’s not a question. Her eyes remain locked on the couple at the end of the pier.
Sebastian says nothing.
She can’t stand it. She thought that she would never need to know who it was her boyfriend was cheating on her with but this is something else.
She turns around and leaves. Walks straight back down the pier, capturing the attention of Haley and Alex once again as she does, but they don’t do anything.
“You’re going to miss the jellies, miss!” Vincent’s voice attempts as she passes him on the way, but she ignores him.
She feels awful but her mind is a whirlpool of emotions right now.
What she doesn’t see is the aftermath of what she walked away from.
Sebastian takes a deep breath before walking up to the top of the pier and ripping his friends off of each other before swinging his fist straight into Sam’s face.
A gasp from Abigail, and Haley which is unheard.
“You fucking told me you weren’t gonna be public.”
Sam’s nose is bleeding, his hand covering it in an attempt to soothe the throb. His eyebrows are furrowed as he stares at his usually stoic best friend.
“What the fuck, man?”
“Seb, what the hell?” Abigail adds, eyes wide.
“You know what? I’m done. Trying to keep your secret whilst she was with us was hard enough, but you two being public barely two-weeks after she finds out? You’re fucked. Fuck you both, I’m done.”
He says nothing more as he walks down the pier in an attempt to catch up to the woman.
“Sebastian, man, are you alright?” Alex’s voice calls as he passes, but he ignores it.
He doesn’t want sympathy or pity. She doesn’t want sympathy or pity. He knows this. So why the hell is he going after her?
“(Y/N)!” He calls as he passes the Stardrop, noticing her as she heads down the path home.
She ignores him.
“(Y/N), wait, please!”
The woman swings around and Sebastian’s posture falters at the sight of her tears and make-up smeared face.
“Fuck them and fuck you!” She yells, her voice breaking.
“(Y/N), please, listen-”
“I don’t wanna listen! I’m done, Sebastian, okay? I’m done. I appreciate you telling me the truth but I’m done now. Please just leave me alone.”
She turns to walk away again. He takes a step forward to follow her but he manages to stop himself. He knows what it’s like to be pushed and pushed to do something when you don’t want to. Especially talking. So he stops. And he doesn’t follow her. And that may have been the last time he ever chose to not talk.
Time passes. He doesn’t see her through fall. He doesn’t try. He checks the farm every so often to make sure she’s still alive, but that’s all.
It’s painfully cliche that the next time he saw her was his birthday. It was never intentional, just purely a bad coincidence.
All the villagers were over at his house for his birthday, his mother putting on a huge spread just outside their home, making use of all the space they have. Despite Sebastian not enjoying socialising, he appreciates the amount of people who have made the effort to come and celebrate with him anyway.
It’s late at night now. Maybe nine or ten-PM. Most guests have gone home, his parents have gone to bed.
He’s sitting at the dining table in the kitchen with Maru, Alex and Haley when Sam and Abigail turn the corner, Sebastian’s expression remaining as stoic as ever when he sees them.
“Hey, man, we just wanted to wish you a happy birthday. I know you don’t like events but we just wanted to wish you our best.” Sam offers, Haley breathing out a pitiful laugh.
“How sweet of you both.” The blonde woman offers, Alex chuckling at the sarcasm dripping from her lips.
“I think it’s best that you leave to be honest.” Maru suggests, looking sad as they were once her friends too, but she knows what they did and she knows that’s unforgivable. And more so, if Sebastian hates them then she hates them too. She trusts her older brother enough.
Sam gulps but nods, turning away, but Abigail stays put.
“You’re really just gonna throw all our years of friendship out just like that?” She asks the birthday boy.
“Isn’t that exactly what you did to (Y/N)?” He asks, expression not changing.
“She wasn’t even friends with us that long and she never really fit in with us anyway, Seb, you know that.”
“Are you serious?”
There’s a look in his eyes that shows a fury that neither Abigail nor Sam had ever seen before. The blond grabs Abigail’s hand and gently tugs her toward him.
“Come on, Abby, let’s go.”
“SOMEBODY, PLEASE, HELP!” A voice echoes through the halls of the Carpenter’s home, everyone standing up and sprinting down the corridors until they get to the entrance hall. The sight makes Sebastian’s knees nearly buckle.
Linus is there with a body in his arms. Her body in his arms.
“Help, please, I just found her like this around the caves, I don’t know if she’s breathing!” The man yells, eyes desperate and begging.
Sebastian shoves past everyone and looks down at the woman he hasn’t seen since the end of Summer. There are cuts all over her body, blood is still dripping onto the golden-coloured rug that sits in the entrance hall. Her eyes are shut and unmoving, arms limp by her side.
“Maru, do you have a key for Harvey’s place?” He asks, turning to look at his half-sister with more seriousness than ever before.
The woman shakes her head.
“No, but Harvey will be in, he only left here an hour or so ago.”
Sebastian nods and takes the woman out of Linus’ hold before meeting his eye.
“Thank you.”
They’re only two words but Linus knows they hold so much meaning.
“HARVEY, OPEN UP! EMERGENCY!” Maru yells, along with Alex and Haley.
They’re banging on the door of the doctor’s, not even concerned that they’re probably going to wake Pierre and Caroline too.
“Come on, come on, come on.” Sebastian mutters, body shaking as he continues looking down at the woman in his arms.
“Seb-”
“Don’t fucking speak to me right now.” The man cuts off Abigail before she even finishes whatever word was coming out her mouth.
Sam is shaken up. His eyes boring down on the woman he once loved. The woman whose heart he broke.
“She was always so careful when out in the caves. She always stopped whenever she was out-numbered with monsters. She would never use up all her energy. She was never reckless, so what the hell happened!?” The blond asks out loud, mind racing with how his ex-lover could’ve ended up in such a situation.
“You happened.” Sebastian states, not taking his eyes off of the woman.
The blond is taken aback by his old friend’s statement but deep down he knows it’s true.
The sound of the doctor’s door unlocking prompts the stoic man to look up.
“What the hell is going on?” Harvey’s voice asks as he looks at the crowd on his doorstep.
“Harvey, it’s (Y/N), she was in the caves and seems to have gotten into some trouble, she’s unconscious and bleeding.” Maru summarises, the doctor nodding and quickly ushering in Sebastian and Maru.
“If you could all please wait outside whilst I examine her.” Harvey asks, Alex nodding on behalf of everyone.
“No worries, Harvey, just please make sure she’s alright.” The brunet pleads.
Harvey nods before closing the door and dashing toward the medical room where Sebastian has set down the woman.
There’s a handful of medical talk between the Doctor and Maru whilst Sebastian sits on the chair beside the bed, watching the pair of them work on the woman with vigor.
It’s about forty-five minutes later when they finally stop.
“Okay, she’s gonna be fine.” Harvey begins, Sebastian standing up and nodding, awaiting further information. “None of her cuts were too fatal but she has sprained her left wrist and split open the back of her right calf so she’s pretty imobile but at least two-weeks, maybe four.”
Sebastian gulps but nods, awaiting any further detail.
“She’s gonna need someone to help her out. She lives alone at the farm, right? Does she have anyone who could stay with her for some time?”
Before Maru could even ask her brother for suggestions, he’s already volunteering.
“I’ll do it. It’s no bother.”
The smile on Maru’s face is almost enough to make the man cry. She always was the only one who looked up to him but he ignored it, clouded by his own jealousy.
“Are you sure?” Harvey confirms, Sebastian nodding.
“Yeah, it’s no problem.”
She stays at the Doctor’s until she wakes up again which isn’t until noon the following day.
“What the hell?” She murmurs, growing accustomed to the bright lights around her.
“You’re at the Doctor’s.” Sebastian offers, prompting her head to snap toward him, eyes widening.
“Sebastian…” It’s a whisper.
He says nothing. Attempts a pitiful smile.
“What happened?” The woman asks.
“You got hurt in the caves; Linus found you, brought you to my house as it was closest.” He briefs.
She nods slowly.
“I gotta thank Linus.”
Sebastian nods in agreement.
“Harvey says you can’t be on your own while you recover so I’m gonna come stay with you at the farm.”
“What the hell? No - I’m fine.”
“You’re not fine, (Y/N), you nearly died.”
She hears the stress in his voice as he states the fact.
“But I’m not dead.”
“It’s not really up for negotiation; Harvey’s orders.”
“Does it have to be you?”
The man releases a breath of laughter.
“I suppose not, no.”
“I want to go home.” She states, Sebastian nodding.
“I’ll grab Harvey, see if he can give the okay.”
(Y/N) nods and watches him walk toward the door.
“Sebastian,”
He stops and turns to face the woman, stoic expression back once again.
“Hm?”
“Sorry I missed your birthday.”
He smiles and shakes his head.
“Let me help you get back to full health and I’ll forgive you.”
“Deal.”
Harvey dismisses the woman that day and Sebastian helps her back to the farm.
“Do you need me to go do anything? Water plants? Check on the animals?”
The woman smiles at him and he trails off, unsure what he’s done to cause such a reaction.
“What?”
“Thank you.” She whispers, watching him give a small smile in response.
“You don’t need to thank me, just give me a checklist.”
So she does. Sebastian maintains her farm every single day using the checklist she provided, making sure to cook her breakfast, lunch and dinner.
She’s impressed at how different he is compared to when he was at Robin’s all the time, locked up in his room playing video games. She hates it. Feels indescribable amounts of guilt that she’s taken him away from the comfort of his usual day-to-day life.
She not only missed his birthday but gatecrashed it by being reckless up in the caves. He deserves better. Not even including how guilty she feels that she ripped him away from Sam and Abigail, especially when she’s certain that he had feelings for Abigail for a long, long time.
It hurts. Her heart. She thought a fresh start at the farm would be good for her, but she hurts now more than ever.
The woman hobbles to the bathroom in her cottage, locking the door behind her while Sebastian is out tending to her crops. Opening the bathroom cupboard, she grabs all the medications she’s been prescribed by Harvey. She’s crying now. Silently screaming for help but she doesn’t want it. Does she? Maybe she does. Maybe she’s tired of Sebastian sleeping on the couch of her cottage. Tired of him cooking her food like they’re an old married couple. Tired of being useless. Tired of not being enough.
She swallows two. Then two more. Then two more. Then two of a different type. Then two more. And more. And more. And more.
She sinks to the floor, medication bottles scattered around her. She’s done.
Her head is floating but feels so heavy at the same time. It makes no sense. It’s almost nice though. Relieving. It’s over.
Sebastian is really good with gut instincts and feelings. He prides himself on it. It’s almost creepy how good his gut feelings are. But he never trusted them again after that.
He walks back into the cottage without a worry in the world.
“I fed the animals, watered the plants and filled up Miso’s bowl.” He calls, referring to the pet cat she has wandering the farm grounds. “Do you need me to do anything else before I cook some dinner?”
No response. Probably sleeping. She’s been pretty restless the last week. Unable to sleep. He stirred when she hobbled into the living room one night in search of some juice. She apologised for waking him but he didn’t mind. They watched some TV show before she fell asleep on the sofa beside him. He carried her to bed. They never spoke of it.
He starts boiling the kettle before walking into her bedroom, already smiling at the sight but it quickly disappears when that sight isn’t there.
“(Y/N)?” He calls, furrowing his brows and looking around the room in case he’s missed her in plain sight. “(Y/N), I hate shit like this, please don’t fuck around.”
He sounds harsh but he’s honest. He hates hide-and-seek and other stupid games. They cause him to overthink and worry.
There’s no response. He tries the bathroom which is when he acknowledges the locked door.
“(Y/N)?” He calls, knocking on the wood that separates him from the room.
No response.
“(Y/N)!”
Nothing.
“(Y/N), I’m gonna break this door down if you don’t answer me. I’m not kidding.” If she could hear him, she’d know full well he’s not kidding, but she can’t.
His heart is racing.
The thought of her passing out worries him to no end. Especially if she’s hit her head on the way down, or passed out in the bath. She could accidentally drown herself. Her injuries could worsen, not that he minds helping her out. She deserves it. She’s gone through enough shit.
He’s always secluded in his room and isn’t exactly fit, but he breaks the door down with a few shoulder barges, but the sight scares him to death.
She’s not passed out.
Not hit her head.
Not drowned in the bath.
No accidents happened.
But she’s pasty white.
The orange pill bottles that surround her body are the only colour left in the room.
“(Y/N)!” The usually stoic man screams.
He drops to his knees, arms wrapping around her body, hands frantically searching for a heartbeat.
“No, no, no, no!” He’s crying. Tears are streaming. There’s no way. “(Y/N), WAKE THE FUCK UP, PLEASE!”
Nothing.
Not a single twitch.
“HELP! SOMEBODY, FUCK, PLEASE!”
Nothing.
He manages to lift her and run to Harvey but it’s too late.
She’s done.
She’s gone.
And so is he.
