Five didnāt need a love story because he already had one.
The entire series is a one big love story. Love isnāt just attraction or romantic. The Umbrella Academy is about Five doing everything he can to save and protect his siblings. If that isnāt love then I can not tell you what is.

You totally got it! Feyre would definitely be Aang: jumping from court to court helping those in need, working tirelessly to rebuild the Courts and learning about faes culture, as well as learning how to use her powers and prepare for war. Like, if this had been the original plot of Acotar focused more on politics and less on romance we definitely wouldn't have these stupid fights and discussions about who is the better couple or why a certain character is superior.
SJM tried to be something she is not: a good writer
I mean she kind of tried to be a new Grrm using terms and even appearances of George's characters (for example the Targaryens and then we have the witch Manon with platinum hair and a huge dragon)
the archeron sisters deserve better and that's a fact, but among the three sisters, the one who (in my opinion) deserved better the most was feyre, and i say that because sjm destroyed feyre's character/story and paired her with an arrogant bastard, and don't even talk about rhysand's trauma because that man is a lame excuse for a "morally gray character." feyre deserved a better writer who knew how to write and develop her without having to sideline her or change her personality in each book. god, how i wish i had the patience and time to write a fanfic focused entirely on feyre and fix her and give her what she really deserves: someone who knows her flaws and rights and knows how to work on them, but unfortunately i lack those attributes and the only thing i can do is wait for more FEYRE fans to join me and start rewriting her story. feyre, the curse-breaker and lady of many faces, deserved better (and nesta and elain too, of course.)

if i had possession of acotar i would have done as you said: i would have made feyre an explorer traveling from court to court with her reward as a curse breaker and helping with the damage caused by amarantha's curse, after all, she has a little of each court inside her. i would have made her know and work in the courts and if I were to present the NC it would have been the LAST, you know? I would work with that theory that feyre has a connection with the Mother/Goddess and would develop her powers and acts so that she would solidify herself as some kind of Protector for the faes, some kind of persona that the people would call and cry out to when war was near, a sign of hope because that was what feyre archeron, cursebreaker should have been!
i don't know this series but it sounds like a delight to read if it's so well articulated to have so many books describing each character and working on world building. honestly, acotar is far from being considered dear to me, what happens is that I have a fondness for feyre and her sisters and I try to abstain from the fandom because some fans are fucking crazy!!!
sjm is far from being a good writer and some people have to remind these fans why because they live in a totally different reality š
